My Yacht Club’s 3 Night Club Venue over Formula 1 Race Weekend
Thousands of Formula One fans descended on Austin November 15th through 17th to witness the U.S. Grand Prix. Unlike other sporting events in the city, F1™ brings with it fans from around the world, including many of the “rich and famous” who attend an array of glamorous parties.
My Yacht™ Group, the luxury international events producer, returned to the Ballet Austin complex over F1™ weekend to produce its exclusive “Monaco-style” nightlife experience, My Yacht Club, a three-night sophisticated party with drivers, celebrities, models and fans.
Notable attendees included American actors Matt LeBlanc (Friends, Episodes), Rick Yune (Olympus Has Fallen, The Fast and the Furious) and Nichole Galicia (Django Unchained); New Zealand actor Manu Bennett (Arrow, The Hobbit, Spartacus), John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of Paul Mitchell Systems and Patrón Spirits and Oscar-winning sound designer Per Hallberg (Braveheart, Gladiator, Bourne Identity). Sauber F1 driver Nico Hülenkenberg stayed through the night on Sunday evening and former World Middleweight Champion Jake LaMotta (“Raging Bull”) enjoyed the scene with his wife Saturday night.
My Yacht Club | The Ballet Austin Complex
My Yacht Club transformed the Ballet Austin complex in downtown Austin into a sophisticated nightclub featuring two custom rooms – the Patrón Grand Prix Lounge and the Monaco Dance Room, complete with a floating aerialist serving shots of Patron XO. The new Methusalem V16 Ultimate Table, was sold for $50,000 and featured two custom-made 24-karat gold leaf wrapped, hand-embossed six-liter bottles of Comte de Mazeray champagne. Only 20 bottles were produced; one has been signed by all attending celebrities and given to Ballet Austin for a future fundraising auction.
It’s estimated that more than 1,400 guests attended My Yacht Club over the course of the weekend. Other notable attendees included Miss Texas and Miss Oklahoma USA and Circuit of the Americas Executive Vice President, Bruce Knox.
“We were thrilled with the buzz around town and amazing turnout,” said Nicholas Frankl, My Yacht Group CEO. “My Yacht Club once again enthralled F1 fans and party goers from around the world. It was great to have friends such as Matt LeBlanc and Rick Yune return, along with an array of new guests who had the time of their lives.”
My Yacht returns to Sea Level December 1-5, 2013 with My Yacht Miami at Art Basel.
With a tent stake planted firmly in the underbelly of Austin's entertainment life.

Your Guide to Lake Travis, Austin TX
Austin Yacht Club: Sailing on Lake Travis Since 1952
Written by Cathy Hale | June 11, 2015
If the words “yacht club” conjure up images of Thurston Howell III from Gilligan’s Island in a yachting cap and ascot, well, you’re not alone.
Yachting very well may be misconstrued as a stuffy pastime, but not at Austin Yacht Club . This laid-back Lake Travis gem has been serving up serious sailing since 1952.
Austin Yacht Club is just a few miles off of RR 620 and Hudson Bend Road. If you follow the bright green scenery past Infamous Brewing Company and the neighborhoods of Travis Landing and Lakeland Hills, you’ll discover AYC on your right at the end of Beacon Road sitting on 30 acres with wet and dry slip storage.
Obviously, the Austin Yacht Club is buzzing right now thanks to the return of Lake Travis, but the AYC, an accredited American Sailing Association (ASA) School, is actually a hub for sailing and racing all year long.
In April, AYC Commodore Barry Bowden commended AYC for hosting the J22 Circuit Regatta in March and the Easter Laser Regatta over Easter weekend, which were the first races they’d been able to host since the drought.
Prior to the daily storms, the weather was actually great for local AYC sailors who took advantage of the wind and cool temperatures. In fact, during the Spring Series, they saw some of the fastest sailboat rides ever thanks to sailing skills and extra gusts from Mother Nature.
The Austin Yacht Club is gearing up for a bunch of races this summer including the Independence Cup Regatta (and party) on July 4. And don’t forget, the AYC is not just fun for adults, they offer amazing Sailing Camps for kiddos all summer.
PBJ Summer Sailing Series (4-10) This AYC sailing camp is designed for first-time sailors and serves as an intro to the sport. The goal of this program is to get young children comfortable on the water and spark an interest in boating and sailing.
The AYC’s US Sailing certified instructors make sure everything is simple, fun and safe. They focus on teaching the basics with games and hands-on learning activities.
Junior Sailing Camp (8-16) Junior Sailing Camps are offered every week through the final week of July 20-24. During each week of camp junior sailors learn and practice fundamental skills on the Optimist fleet including four brand new ones.
AYC is dedicated to providing a fun and safe environment for young sailors. In addition to hands-on instruction, camps offer classroom discussion, land activities, water drills and special activities like racing, destination sailing and wind surfing.
Learn to Sail AYC invites everyone, members and non-members, to learn how to sail at various workshops during the year, as well as private lessons.
In the spring, AYC held a weekly clinic for beginning sailors to teach them sailing terminology and concept — you don’t want your boom to swing violently during an accidental jibe — as well as on-the-water practice. They will be hosting a similar workshop in the fall, so keep an eye on their website for more details.
In addition to multiple access points and beautiful views of Lake Travis, this private club has all of the amenities you need to stay comfy when you’re not yachting like a 2-level clubhouse with a bar and roomy patio, a swimming pool, a playscape, cabins, outdoor event areas and more.
With the brilliant blue water lapping at the shore, if you’ve ever thought about sailing … this seems like a perfect time to give it a try.

About the Business
Paradise Cove Marina is located on Lake Travis, only 22 miles from downtown Austin. Positioned on the picturesque south shore of Lake Travis just off of Hudson Bend Road, the 181 wet-slip Marina offers a premier location in Central Texas. The Marina offers superior amenities such as security access gates to the docks, wireless internet service, cable service, free sewer pump-out, dockside bathroom and showers, boat rentals, etc. It is also one of the only marinas on Lake Travis that offers wireless security cameras that allow tenants to logon via the internet to look after their investment, making it one of the safest marinas in Austin, Texas. Consisting of over 267 acres of land, Paradise Cove Marina is able to function at even the lowest water levels, giving the marina a competitive advantage over almost all other marinas on Lake Travis. PCM is one of the few marinas on Lake Travis that conforms to the amended Highland Lakes Marina Ordinance (HLMO) standards. Managed by a highly experienced and friendly staff, we encourage you to visit your boats next home. …

Dear DRIVERS!!!! STOP!!!! And read this! Please do not stop at the top to drop your party off!!!!!!! When you do this you stop traffic for everyone. Also this is not better for your party! When you drop them at the top they have less than a mile to carry their shit down! BE SMART follow the flow and pull down into the cove and drop them off in the parking area!!!! Don't! Be! That ! Stupid! Driver!!!! Also future users!!! Please tell this to your drivers! When you get stuck! This cuts into your boat time! Thank you in advance! Your friendly Austinite
I wish I could give it a zero. The management team is horrible. There is no follow-up and it is unprofessional. The manager, Laura, will screen you, and if you sound like someone she doesn't like, she will not approve your application (that is a form of discrimination). STAY AWAY!!!
The main reason why I love this place is the staff! We were in a group of people who were all inexperienced in driving a boat and the staff helped to explain everything to us without making us feel bad. We went through an online company called Boat Setters but the boat was located at their Marina. I will say that there are alot of extra fees such as taking a boating license and other extra fees when you get there. They had lots of parking when we arrived and it is easy to find. They even provided us a waterproof map on where to go in the lake to anchor down.
Be aware that parking is 15 dollars, they accept credit or cash. The parking itself is hard to access and on dirt. Other than that many great boat rentals are located here so it is still worth checking it out.
This was the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered. I have never left a review for something until now based off of how rude and immature the parking attendants were. We talked to the boat company we rented from and apparently this marina is now run by some kid. I'm assuming his mommy and daddy gave him this marina as an income and he got a huge ego because of it. They charge 5$ per person just to enter. Not $5 per car like most marinas in Austin. Our Uber driver called the kid out on how ridiculous the price was. He rudely replied and said you'll have to pay 5$ too with that attitude to our driver. He just kept arguing with us when we were questioning the price and got a huge power trip from it. Also the parking lot popped a lot of people's tires that parked there.
It's lake Travis it's a Marina u come there with a tiny window in time it's not all cops and robbers all the time some drama that's life sure u look and only see faults there but it's better than that it's a good Marina
Had a great time there boats are beautiful well-maintained Our captain Jamie was very professional and so knowledgeable about Lake Travis he showed us a real good time nice place Very reasonable prices will be back for sure chow
These guys are grifters. Plain and simple. You pay for a boat rental and they have thugs at the gate that charge $5 to be dropped off! The result is people walking in traffic to get to their rideshare rides and people getting dropped on the road and walking to their boats. Oh and the area you pay to drop people off in... has a huge sign that says "No Rideshare drop off". No one answers their phone. Next time I take a passenger, I'm driving right past the thugs. Happy to call the cops if needed. Scumbags.
New ownership (2020) has seen this place take a nosedive. It's extremely trashy. Absolutely no maintenance with debris everywhere! Broken down parts, party people tossing their drinks to be left along the roadway and in the grass is overwhelming. Because of the high grass/weeds, there are snakes and rats you can see. Unsanitary, unsafe and looks like the beginnings of a third world country instead of a luxury lake marina. Pure trash with management or owners seeming not to care whatsoever. Avoid!

How dare you charge $5 for a drop off when I am dropping off people who are spending money at your business. It's not my problem that you charge $15 for a car for parking and you're not getting as many cars as you're used to. For you to charge $5 to either the customer or a driver just trying to make an honest living is outrageous. How dare you. This is the hospitality we're showing our out of towners showing them the all we care about is money okay well I wish your business falls apart. Good luck with that
Such a great experience. It was so much fun and such a good deal. Carter was wonderful and so informative. The whole process was extremely easy and convenient. 100% will be back
