The 36m/118'1" motor yacht 'Seaflower' was built by Mulder Shipyard in the Netherlands at their Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk shipyard and she was delivered to her owner in July 2023. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Claydon Reeves.

Seaflower is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-18) 1,150hp engines running at 2300rpm, she comfortably cruises at 15 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 17 knots. Her water tanks store around 6,000 Litres of fresh water.

“We receive a lot of requests from owners who have yachts between 160 and 270 feet who want to downsize without compromising on quality or comfort,” Nick Mulder , Mulder’s managing director, told Robb Report during a tour of the yacht at the Monaco Yacht Show. “The ThirtySix [series] is popular as it’s large yet easily manageable.”

The exterior was designed by British studio Claydon Reeves with an interior by John Vickers and naval architecture by Van Oossanen . Seaflower is the sixth unit in the ThirtySix series, but the first hull to be built to IMO Tier-III requirements.

“We’re not the biggest shipyard, but we produce one yacht every eight months, and it has our full attention,” says Mulder. “Clients can personalize the materials and layout and still only have to wait a year before taking delivery.”

One of the largest custom requests made by Seaflower ’s owners was the inclusion of a light-oak interior. When they stepped into the build last September, much of the interior was already constructed in walnut. “That was quite a challenge, but it didn’t feel right to compromise on their wishes, so we redid everything across the main and lower decks,” says Mulder.

Four more cabins—two VIPs and two twins that convert to doubles—are located on the lower deck, each with oversized windows and the option to add a Pullman berth, allowing Seaflower to sleep 10 guests.

The main salon leads into a formal dining area set against a backdrop of bamboo backlit artwork, inspired by works the owners viewed aboard the Lurssen superyacht , formerly known as Ahpo . (That 377-foot vessel was renamed Lady Jorgia in what is considered the largest superyacht brokerage sale in yachting history.) Sliding doors open onto a fold-down balcony allowing alfresco dining to drift outside.

The galley features custom-made fridges with adjustable temperatures and a restaurant-caliber steam oven. The wheelhouse, which accommodated 20 people during sea trials in July, includes plenty of seating for guests. It’s enhanced by a second exterior steering position, portside for maneuvering into slips or around other vessels.

The owners left out the sundeck Jacuzzi. “The flybridge is a large open-plan space where they wanted to simply relax, so we dressed it with outdoor furniture from Neil Jones and prioritized comfort,” says designer Vickers.

The yacht’s layout has an interior volume comparable to a 148-footer, according to the shipyard, with a crew of six. It’s twinned with a shallow draft for cruising in shallow waters.

The owners have carried the name Seaflower across many of their previous yachts, yet the Mulder ThirtySix may be their most comfortable sub-300 GT cruiser yet.

Mulder is proud to announce that the sixth Mulder ThirtySix, SEAFLOWER, has successfully completed seatrials in Scheveningen and has now officially been delivered to her owners.

SEAFLOWER, the sixth yacht of the successful ThirtySix series has embarked on her journey to Mediterranean waters, where her owners will enjoy plenty of quality time on board before her upcoming debut at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show.

Exuding timeless elegance throughout, SEAFLOWER showcases exterior and interior design from the drawing boards of the British studio, Vickers Studio. She features a five-stateroom layout, with her owner’s suite located forward on the main deck and coming complete with its own private study and dressing area.

This full-beam master cabin offers amazing views from its large windows – located both port and starboard – as well as an ensuite shower and separate head. Her additional twin and double cabins are luxuriously appointed and also have their own ensuite bathrooms.

The timeless interior on board SEAFLOWER has been designed to meet the requirements of her experienced owners and includes deep cut pile patterned carpets throughout, as well as white washed oak with brass trims and calm, complementary fabric wall panels.   As one of the most striking elements of her design, modern fabrics in eye-catching reds, yellows and greens play together on the feature wall located in her spacious dining room.

SEAFLOWER offers ample relaxation space both on her main deck aft, which includes two dining tables and comfortable sofas for shaded dining close to the water, and her sundeck, which offers an additional comfortable dining area and further space for outdoor entertaining.

Her bow area represents yet another perfect location to relax and unwind, thanks to the presence of a large sofa and sunbeds. SEAFLOWER also boasts a folding balcony on the starboard side, as well as a generous beach club to help guests maintain their connection to the water.

Performance-wise, the all-aluminium yacht is equipped with twin Caterpillar C18 engines with 1150HP at 2300 rpm, which allow her to reach a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.

Notably, SEAFLOWER also has the accolade of being the first ThirtySix built to tier 3 requirements, meaning that she adheres to the strictest environmental regulations to date. Mulder launches Seaflower, the sixth ThirtySix yacht

Mulder Shipyard in the Netherlands has announced the launch of the sixth yacht in its ThirtySix range. The 36-meter vessel, launched after a six-month refit, is named Seaflower.

British studio Claydon Reeves designed the exterior of the ThirtySix series, while Van Oossanen Naval Architects was responsible for the naval architecture of the project.

Delivery of the new superyacht is scheduled for June 2023 and the interiors are still being kept secret. Seaflower is expected to spend her first season in the Mediterranean, followed by her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Mulder representatives state that the yacht has a "thoughtful layout" and "excellent sailing characteristics," making the series one of the most successful in its size range. Seaflower becomes the sixth hull in the ThirtySix series, with four more yachts currently in various stages of construction.

Mulder Shipyard is a family-run shipyard in the Netherlands with over 70 full-time employees at three facilities in the Leiden area and a fourth facility in Enkhuizen. The shipyard specializes in the design, development and construction of 50-150 feet (15-45 meters) yachts. Mulder yachts are built in aluminum, are semi-displacement and can reach a maximum speed of 24 knots.

Feadship yacht Seaflower relaunched as Cipitouba after refit

The 40 metre Feadship motor yacht Seaflower has been relaunched in Makkum bearing the new name Cipitouba .

The Dutch yard revealed that work began in September 2016 and lasted nine months. Key upgrades included new generators, exhaust gas filters, a new electrical power management system and a new alarm and monitoring system.

Elsewhere, the main-deck saloon, dining room and bridge deck lounge were all given a complete makeover, while the marble in the guest bathrooms was replaced. Cipitouba was reunited with her owners last month, following the completion of her 15-year Lloyd’s class survey.

Designed by De Voogt Naval Architects , Cipitouba was launched in 2002 with interiors by Larvor . She can accommodate up to ten guests and seven crewmembers. Key features include a walk-around main deck and superyacht sundeck that is partially shaded by a hardtop bimini.

Power comes from a pair of 671hp Caterpillar 3412B-DITA engines that draw on a total fuel capacity of 17,600 litres. This combination should ensure Cipitouba is capable of extended coastal trips at her cruising speed of 13 knots. Her vital statistics include a beam of 8.95 metres and a maximum draught of 2.75 metres.

Cipitouba is the fourth Feadship refit project to be completed this year, following on from the relaunches of the 49.99 metre Aurora B , the 47.49 metre Tatasu and the newly lengthened 68.77 metre Drizzle . The latter completed an extensive refit at Barcelona’s MB92 back in May and members of the Feadship team collaborated with the Spanish yard on her new paintjob, sundeck gym area, and 1.5 metre bathing platform extension.

Mulder Launches 36-Metre Seaflower

Mulder Yachts launches the 36-metre Sunflower at its Zoeterwoude shipyards, the sixth Mulder ThirtySix for the company. 

The launch of Seaflower at the yacht builder’s Netherlands facility follows a successful building period after the hull arrived in September. Following an initial meeting at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show, Seaflower was contracted by Mulder in November for a very experienced and well-known yachtsman and multiple yacht owner.

Scheduled for an on-time delivery, Seaflower will then head to the Mediterranean to make the most of the summer season, before making her industry debut at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show.

The award-winning Mulder ThirtySix ranks among the most successful yachts in her size range. Boasting a bespoke modern exterior with a sleek aluminium construction and a continuous window line that culminates in a contemporary plumb bow, she features an intelligent layout, excellent sailing characteristics and an unparalleled level of build quality, with a volume of just under 300 gross tons.

The design features the Van Oossanen patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) to ensure comfortable sailing and fuel economy at all speeds, with twin 847 kW engines ensuring a maximum speed of 17 knots (the fuel consumption at economic cruising speed of 11 knots is less than 80 liters per hour).

In addition, a full beam design allows the volume and privacy in the owners’ area to be maximised while the slender hull and long waterline ensure outstanding seakeeping capacities in rough seas, enhancing comfort for owners and guests alike.

Mulder has delivered five ThirtySix yachts to date including Solemates (above) , which is the first of the model slated for the United States and currently has four new ThirtySix yachts under construction.

With more than 100 meters in length, Seaflower , has more than 50 suites inside it.

Inside, all the floors and apartments have impressive terraces with swimming pools and ocean views.

In the main area, the most important floor, it also has its own circular pool.
