Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season-Premiere Recap: Dream Team

Below deck sailing yacht.

below deck sailing yacht season 1 episode 4

After decent seasons of  Below Deck ,  Mediterranean , and  Adventure , I’m beyond elated to have the superior  BD  spinoff,  Sailing Yacht , back in my life. In a sea of constantly fluctuating casts in the  BD  universe,  Sailing Yacht  has been a delightful constant, featuring what has become my absolute favorite group of wild yachties. The core four (Captain Glenn, chief stew Daisy, first mate Gary, and engineer Colin) have all returned for another season aboard the beloved  Parsifal III  as they sail around Sardinia, Italy. Colin puts it best: “ Parsifal  is always so entertaining. Get the popcorn out again!”

Speaking of the hottest man on the ship, Colin announces in a confessional that he is a “free man” with “nothing tying him down” anymore. After spending most of his time on the series in a relationship, Colin is now single. He seems eager to finally get a taste of the drama he has largely kept a distance from, and I’m incredibly excited to see how it’ll play out. Meanwhile, Daisy contemplates her life and tells us that she expected to be married with two kids at this point but is instead “still serving a bunch of assholes.” She’s in her Hannah Ferrier era! Regardless, she’s still looking forward to being back on  Parsifal . “I hope to bring the same motto I bring every season: My way is best,” she says with a smile. Oh, how I’ve missed her!

Before diving into this premiere’s events, let’s discuss the fresh faces rounding out the team. In the interior, Lucy says she is a very “unlucky” and “clumsy” person, as seen in a montage of various times she accidentally hurts herself on the boat. Daisy’s other stew is Madison, who confesses that she “wouldn’t be opposed to screwing the crew” and doesn’t have “high standards,” meaning there’s a 110 percent chance of her hooking up with Gary. Mads also tells us that despite people assuming she’s a bitch based on her looks (blonde), she’s actually a “ray of fucking sunshine.” Her delivery of this, plus her later comment about how it’s fine to be mean as long as it comes across as a joke, fails to convince me.

On deck, we have Chase, who hails from South Carolina and describes himself as being “extra,” which I’m hoping isn’t code for being a dick. The season teaser shows some tension between him and Gary, so I feel he might not make it to the end. But I hope my assumptions are proven wrong. There’s also deckhand Alex, who captains a boat in Miami, is very hot (bless Bravo for including a slideshow of additional photographic evidence), and says he is “socially charged” and “empathetic.”

Finding and being able to hold onto a fantastic chef has been a tough task to accomplish throughout  BD ’s history. After last season’s phenomenal chef Marcos, it has some massive shoes to fill. So far, Australian chef Ileisha, a self-described “perfectionist” with 16 years of experience, has impressed in the galley. Overall, I really like this ensemble so far. They seem to know what they’re doing and haven’t pissed anyone off yet, which might be a  Below Deck  first.

As the crew settles in, Captain Glenn reveals that COVID-19 continues to strike as Gary has tested positive and will tragically end up missing the charter. In the meantime, Colin is tasked with filling in as chief officer to help Alex and Chase get acquainted with the  Parsifal . In order to spare herself from repeating last year’s drama, Daisy informs Lucy and Mads that it’s best if they’re both Junior stews. It’s a fantastic idea, but I’m hoping for some stew drama anyway.

As provisions come in and the crew gets the boat prepped for charter, Colin notices something wrong with the engine because it would be  too easy  for things to go smoothly for once. The first charter sets the tone for the season, and it has already gone sideways merely hours into the first day. Despite their best efforts, Captain Glenn and Colin determine that the boat won’t be able to leave the dock, so the pressure falls onto Daisy and the interior to give the guests an experience that isn’t entirely shitty. And to make matters worse, the next day, Colin discovers a malfunction in the aftercooler that caused water to enter the engine.

At the preference sheet meeting, we meet our first guests: The primary is Stephanie Seutter, a Texan working in sales who is having a girl’s trip with seven of her friends. Given the myriad of problems the crew already has to deal with, I’m glad they don’t also have to deal with a lengthy list of restrictions and demands. They ask for a local Sardinian dinner followed by an EDM party for the first night. On the second day, they want to spend time on the beach and have a steak and seafood dinner with truffles on everything, which rightfully gets a disgusted reaction from Daisy.

Daisy is already impressed with her stews for taking the initiative, and I am too. They know how to get shit done, so here’s hoping they don’t start slacking. “Confident stews, my dream has come true!” she exclaims. After everyone finishes working, they gather on deck to drink beer and rest up. Chase asks if anyone is missing someone from home, to which Daisy responds, “I haven’t missed someone since 1999.” The discussion naturally leads to relationship statuses, where we learn that everyone is single — a win for us because it means chaos will ensue — save for Ileisha, who recently rekindled her romance with an ex-boyfriend from four years prior. Before heading to bed, the boys check in on Colin in the engine room to help out. Dudes rock!

In the crew mess the next morning, Daisy mentions how Gary usually got his coffee, and Ileisha teases her by saying, “you miss him!” Daisy thinks it feels weird for him not to be there, and I agree. Gary’s absence has caused a vibe shift on the boat. Thirty minutes before the charter, the crew changes into their uniforms and prepares to head out on deck for greetings. As the guests strut down the dock, Ileisha is still getting ready in her cabin as Daisy rushes down to inform her to hurry. This sequence had me stressed!! Earlier, the two had a chat about the importance of communication and teamwork, so I hope her poor time management isn’t an issue.

Since the guests are stuck at the dock, Daisy plans to “keep their glasses topped up, their stomachs full, and their memories short.” Words to live by! After welcoming Stephanie & Co., Captain Glenn breaks the bad news but tries to soften the blow by assuring them that other activities are available. They handle it well — it’s not like they have a choice — but their annoyance grows more apparent as they get settled on the boat and enjoy espresso martinis and Ileisha’s mac-and-cheese truffle arancini balls and rib-eye with horseradish-cream canapés.

Captain Glenn suggests that the guests go out on the tender, and they agree because it’s really the only thing to do. Daisy recommends that Alex accompany them because he’s “hot and the guests will love that eye candy.” So true, Daisy. Alex is excited since “day charters with drunk guests is [his] specialty,” adding that his approach is to pump them “full of Tito’s.” Keeping the drinks flowing does the job because they’re already hammered by the time they make it onto the tender. Their afternoon playing around on the water toys and getting drunk is a success. I initially assumed that the guests would be high-maintenance, but so far, they’ve been quite fun and low-key.

After the crew changes into their blacks for the evening, Alex, Chase, and Lucy decorate the flybridge with balloons and glow sticks for what Lucy calls a “tacky” EDM party. True, but there are far worse themes they could have requested. Chase says the half-assed decor “looks like a seven-year-old’s birthday party,” which I imagine would look significantly better. Nothing about this set-up screams EDM, but the guests have fun, and I suppose that’s what matters most.

For dinner, Ileisha presents a family-style feast of fresh local oysters, shrimp, and lobster ravioli with truffle, asparagus with Parmesan, and beef filet with roasted garlic purée. The guests think the food is a “home run,” and they’re so wasted that one guest named Mary Lynn falls out of her chair twice. After the guests change into their party attire and the crew puts on paint and face jewels, they make their way up to the party, where Chase gives one guest a lap dance and Mary Lynn paints Alex’s knee to prove to her sister that she is artistic. Anything for the tip, right?

As if they hadn’t just spent the previous day drinking nonstop, the guests are up early the next morning asking Daisy for some mimosas. “I just need an IV of Champagne,” a guest named Karen says. Meanwhile, Colin has spent the entire charter stuck in the engine room, and because the problems have escalated beyond his ability to fix them alone, Captain Glenn brings in more engineers to check it out.

The episode ends with the reveal that it will take a whopping 15 days to fix the engine, but as Captain Glenn says at the start of the episode,  Parsifal  “has never let me down.” The season preview promises us several guest injuries, lots of crew makeout sessions, another intense engine issue, and — most importantly — a Daisy/Gary/Colin love triangle. Based on the hype the producers are putting on this dynamic, I have severely high expectations.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 Episode 1 Recap: The Boat That Goes Nowhere

Welcome back to Below Deck Sailing Yacht ! Captain Glenn Shephard has been sailing the Parsifal III sailing yacht for 13 years. This season he’ll be sailing her in the azure waters of Sardinia, Italy. But will he actually be sailing her? Spoiler alert: probably not this week.

Meet The Season 4 Crew

Happy to be returning to the Parsifal, Daisy Kelliher is back for another season as Chief Stew. “I don’t feel like I’m a chief stew anymore,” Daisy told us. “I feel like I’m a life skills coach . . . All I do is just babysit.”

Also returning is First Mate Gary King , who claimed he has “ no game ” with women. From what I’ve been reading in the media, Gary had better find some game this season. At least if he wants to keep the flirtation going with Daisy .

Colin Macrae is also back as Chief Engineer. Colin’s pumped to be returning to the boat as a single man since he and his longtime girlfriend have split. “I’ve got nothing tying me down,” he said. “I haven’t been single in so long.” Colin came ready to mingle .

Bringing the culinary skills is Chef Ileisha Dell . “People would describe me as energetic [and] sensitive,” Ileisha offered. “I’m a chef. I’m a little crazy.” As long as she can wow the guests with her cooking , it’s all good.

Lucy Edmunds (nicknamed “Lucky”) is on board as a Steward (I guess we’re not calling them steward esses anymore — too sexist?). She claimed that even though “Lucky” is her name, she doesn’t have any luck at all. She says, “I’m clumsy, which can be taken [as] unlucky.” I’ve never heard that particular equivocation before. Let’s just call a klutz a klutz, okay?

Joining the crew as a Deckhand is Chase Lemacks from South Carolina. His claim to fame is that people “either love me or hate me.” He admitted, “They just think I’m too high energy, extra, maybe crazy.”

Completing the Inside Crew is Madison (“Mads”) Herrera , who apparently came for the party, rather than to be a Steward. “I wouldn’t be opposed to screwing the crew,” Mads announced. “If we get some banter and you can make me laugh, we could probably end up having sex.” Her parents must be so proud.

The last member of the crew is Alex Propson , who signed on as a Deckhand. “Definitely not the peacekeeper,” Alex confessed. “I’m kind of the wild, chaotic, black sheep part of the family.” Alex came for “hot boy European summer.” He and Mads are going to make quite the pair.

Welcome Aboard, Crew! (Except Gary, Who Had Covid)

As each member of the crew arrived and greeted Captain Glenn , everyone seemed happy to be back aboard the Parsifal and looking forward to making some money over the next few weeks. Except for Gary , who had Covid and was still at home recovering. Captain Glenn was waiting for him to test negative so he could join the crew. “I don’t know when he’s coming,” the Captain complained. “It sucks massively.”

Meanwhile, Ileisha was wheeling her suitcase down the dock, wearing the same squishy rubber sandals that I have (only in white — mine are bright yellow). Those shoes are sooooo comfy!

As everyone got acquainted and settled into their tiny, windowless sleeping quarters (that’s the part right there I couldn’t do), Mads revealed, “I’ve been a yachtie for two years. The hardest part about it is the way I look.” Really? Not the endless hours making beds, cleaning toilets, and waiting hand and foot on rich assholes who think you’re only there to serve them ? Okay.

“People think I’m going to be a bitch,” she continued. “But I swear, I’m a ray of f***ing sunshine.” Oh boy. I think Mads is going to be a piece of work. And of course, Mads already got one of the boys to deliver her suitcase to her cabin for her.

In order to avoid the drama that happened last year over the position of second and third stews, Daisy informed Mads and Lucy that they would both be “Junior Stews.” She stressed that they would be a team, before making shift assignments to each of the girls.

Since Gary was not yet on board to lead the deck crew, Captain Glenn asked Alex and Chase to walk around and get familiar with the boat. At the same time, they should make a list of things that needed to be done. Sadly, they haven’t figured out where any of the supplies were yet. I’d start by opening some of those cabinets and looking around.

As Chase said later in the show, “We’re a brand new deck team, and we’re supposed to pick up a charter tomorrow without our boss [Gary] on board. We’re not ready. I’m thinking we’re kind of f***ed.” Somebody’s got to step up and take charge. Who will it be?

One questionable advantage of watching this show live (I usually record and watch the next day sans commercials) is seeing the ads. Apparently, Captain Glenn got himself a fat contract with DoorDash. Nice.

Colin Steps Up To Lead The Deck Team But Gets Sidetracked By Engine Trouble

Following the crew meeting where Captain Glenn informed the group that Gary had Covid, he asked Colin to stay behind. Glenn asked Colin if he would step in to lead the deck crew in Gary’s absence, and Colin said, “I’ll do whatever it takes. I’m always willing to help out.” But he wasn’t sure he could fill Gary’s shoes, as the First Mate had over two years of experience already on Parsifal.

Uh-oh! Trouble in the engine room. Colin informed the Captain that the main engine won’t start. “Give me an hour,” Colin said, “and then I’ll tell you if it’s a state of emergency or not.”

“They just crossed the Atlantic to get [the boat] here,” Glenn commented. “The thing was running fine.” Colin went right to work figuring out the issue. In order to sail, they need to be able to get the boat off the dock, which requires an engine. As Glenn said, “People are chartering a boat . . . not a hotel. They want to go somewhere. If we can’t start the engine, we’re f***ed.”

Meanwhile, provisions had been delivered, so the crew got busy bringing everything on board, as Glenn called Daisy , Colin, and Ileisha to the dining area for the first preference sheet meeting of the season.

The first guests were eight women (Girls Trip!) with very specific requests regarding activities and dining. Daisy got to work planning sleeping accommodations for such a big party.

Out on deck, the boys muddled through without a leader, but they were satisfied with their work. Despite “not knowing where anything is,” they felt good about all they’d been able to accomplish. “This bitch is sparkling,” Chase pronounced.

Inside the boat, Daisy was happy with her new crew and praised “their initiative and their common sense. They’ll be Mini Daisy One and Mini Daisy Two by the end of the season.” Pleased with the shape of the Parsifal, Daisy decided they could stop for the night. Likewise, Captain Glenn told the deck crew they could “knock it on the head for today.” Cheers!

As the crew sat outside on the deck relaxing with a few beers, Alex unwound his man bun and let his long hair down. “You and Gary are going to have a hair competition,” Daisy teased. Eventually, Chase and Alex wandered down into the engine room to see if they could give Colin a hand with his repair work. Admirable of them to check on Colin, while everyone else was sitting around drinking beer. “Tomorrow, we’re not moving,” Colin direly predicted.

By 10:00 pm, Colin had finally narrowed down the problem as being in the engine itself, not electrical or gearbox related. Having had enough for one day, he told the boys, “Lets go to bed.”

The Captain came out to the deck to tell Daisy and the crew that the problem with the boat was the main engine. “We’re not going off the dock tomorrow,” he glumly announced. “So we’re gonna have to keep these guys entertained.” The guests are going to be very sad that they’ve paid a pretty penny chartering a boat that can’t go anywhere.

Though he claimed to be “devastated,” Chase saw the boat’s inability to leave the dock as a blessing in disguise. “I don’t have a first mate around to show us how to get on and off the dock,” he said. Good point. “All the deck team has to do on this charter is keep the boat clean and distract the guests with a little bit of a good time.”

After instructing them to “get some good rest tonight,” everybody went off to bed. No drunken carousing on night one!

The Charter Guests Arrive

The next morning, the crew made last-minute preparations before the guests arrived. Colin regretted not being able to help out on deck as much as he’d have liked, since he was still working in the engine room. “I want to see these guys succeed,” he said. “Because if they succeed, then we all succeed.” The (hopefully) fat tip at the end of the charter gets split evenly among all the crew members.

In the boat’s cockpit, Captain Glenn was talking on the phone with Gary . “Hey, dude, how you doing?” Glenn asked.

“Yeah, not good,” Gary answered. “Got another positive result.” He was frustrated and didn’t understand why he couldn’t test clear, when he was feeling better. I miss Gary. He’s always the life of the party . Hopefully, he’ll be returning soon. Get well, Gary!

When the Captain radioed for the crew to get into their charter uniforms as the guests were 30 minutes away, everyone took a deep breath. Show time! “Hope they don’t try to hug us, bro,” Colin joked. “I smell like a yeti.”

As the guests walked down the dock toward the boat, the crew lined up in the cockpit, ready to greet them with cold towels and champagne. Welcome to the boat, ladies! We’re not going anywhere today.

“It’s not gonna be easy for Glenn to be the bearer of bad news,” Daisy narrated. “But it’s me who has to deal with the pressure to make the guests happy and have incredible memories. So the current plan is to keep their glasses topped up, their stomachs full and their memory short.”

Right before Daisy took them off on their tour of the boat, Glenn broke the news to the ladies about “a little problem with our main engine.” While assuring them the crew would figure it out, he sadly informed the guests, “I don’t think we’re going to be able to get off the dock today.” He did assure them that they would still do their best to entertain them. So that’s the bad news. Aaaaaaaand, here’s Daisy !

“ Glenn , you’re breaking our hearts,” one of the ladies moaned. They recovered from their bad news quickly, though, as they toured the luxurious boat and checked out their plush cabins.

“When are we getting drunk?” one of the women asked. “Now,” answered her friend. Nice rebound, ladies. Smiles returned as Daisy brought out platters of macaroni and cheese truffle arancini bowls, followed by rib eye hors d’oeuvres with horseradish cream. Yum!

In the galley, Ileisha declared, “When you’re on a new boat, the first meal you cook has to look good, it has to taste good and you have to wow them. I know what everyone’s thinking. Is she a sh** chef? Is she amazing?”

“I might look young and small,” she continued, “but I’ve been cooking for 16 years. Don’t mess with me.”

Naughty Drunk Ladies

Glenn went up to the deck to see how the ladies were taking not being able to leave the dock. Even though the boat couldn’t go out, he offered a couple of options: they could go for a ride in the tender or they could “get out the toys” (aka the jet skis — good luck with that one since the deck crew hadn’t yet been trained on any of that equipment). He finally talked them into going out for a tender ride to enjoy the scenic beauty of the local area.

While he was hoping to be able to leave the dock tomorrow, he couldn’t be 100% sure. But he promised to give them updates as soon as he had more information.

When Glenn told Daisy the ladies wanted to go for a tender cruise, Daisy said, “Send Alex with them. He’s hot and the guests will love that eye candy.” She’s not wrong.

When the already inebriated ladies went out with Alex , they all flirted furiously with him. “Alex may be the hottest guy I’ve ever seen,” one of the guests commented. “I should’ve done more makeup.”

As the deckhand was handing out drinks to the women following their swim, one of the ladies expressed her appreciation. “Thank you, hotty-hots, for serving our drinks.” Oh my, these women were drunk. They were “grabbing each other’s boobs” drunk. At least they were having a good time.

When the tender full of guests arrived back at the dock, Captain Glenn innocently told them, “When you ladies are ready, we’ll get you off.” That line elicited a huge cackle.

“Off the boat!” Glenn clarified, laughing. Naughty drunk ladies! Meanwhile, Colin brought Captain Glenn some very bad news. “The engine’s full of water,” he reported. “I guarantee this boat’s not moving for a few days.”

While in the lounge, the guests were trying to pry an answer out of Daisy about whether they’d be able to sail the next day. Daisy dodged their questions with, “I have barely spoken to the engineers.”

As Colin explained it, “The after cooler is meant to cool down the air going into the engine using salt water. But there’s been a malfunction, and that salt water has ended up inside the engine, where there’s only meant to be pure, clean oil.” Bummer. That sounds bad.

Colin realized that it would be irresponsible of him to try to repair a huge issue like this alone. So he would be calling in the manufacturer of the engine to come and give him their opinion of what should be done. Glenn told him to get them here ASAP.

As the guests were seated at the table waiting to be served, one of them complimented her friend, “Karen, you look like Aphrodite.” To which Karen answered, “When I die, I’m going to come back as a man, so I don’t have to do any of this [hair and makeup]. I can just put on boxer shorts and be bald, and I’ll be like [makes a peace sign].” Karen’s my kind of girl. I like Karen.

For dinner, the ladies were served fresh local oysters in a “cabsab vinaigrette” (whatever that is), followed by lobster and shrimp ravioli with white truffle and beef filet with roasted garlic puree. Yum. But they were so drunk, I wonder if they could even taste any of it. One of the women actually ended up tilting over backward in her chair onto the deck.

As the other women laughed, Chase and Alex ran to help her up. It was pretty funny, and thankfully she was unhurt. She chose another chair, but it happened again! Ass over teakettle, as they say. Get that poor woman a chair that doesn’t try to throw her off like a rodeo bronco. Her friends were laughing so hard they were crying. And so was she, so all good.

After dinner, the ladies had requested an “EDM Party” (EDM=Electronic Dance Music — I had to Google it), so the crew got all dolled up for them. The boys wore body paint and makeup, and the girls applied glitter tattoos and feathers, and they had multicolored flashing lights strobing on the sun deck. And of course, Alex was requested to take his shirt off. When one of the ladies asked if Alex would give her a lap dance, he pointed at Chase , “That’s your man, right over there.” And Chase was more than happy to comply. They’re workin’ for the money, honey.

Finally, Daisy took pity on poor Chase and sent him off to bed. I hope he showered first, cause he was a dirrrrrrty boy. And the guests went off to spill alcohol in the hot tub , before finally heading off to bed, leaving Alex to clean up all the mess.

The next morning the Caterpillar engine people arrived bright and early. The news was not good. The engine was full of seawater, so the only way to repair it was to disassemble the entire engine, clean out all the salt water and reassemble it. Basically, they had to rebuild the engine.

When Captain Glenn asked how long it would take to complete the repair , the engineers said, “About 15 days.” I actually gasped. Isn’t that like a third of their charter season?

“If it’s gonna take 15 days,” Glenn pronounced, “our season is finito . We’re done.”

Well, they must have found some way to speed up the repair job, because there were previews of things to come “this season on Below Deck Sailing Yacht .” Stay tuned.

New to the series are chef Ileisha Dell, stews Lucy Edmunds and Mads Herrera and deckhands Chase Lemacks and Alex Propson.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 plot

Bravo offered this synopsis of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 and it gives you a good sense of what's coming in the new season:

"Capt. Glenn and his comeback team Daisy Kelliher, Gary King and Colin MacRae resume their responsibilities aboard Parsifal III, along with new, dynamic crew members, as they set sail in Sardinia, Italy. Capt. Glenn realizes that his laid-back leadership style has allowed his crew to become too comfortable and starts taking charge of quality control in the interior department, much to Daisy's dismay.

"In the galley, Chef Ileisha’s cooking impresses the guests, but her indecisiveness and co-dependency lead to time-management issues between courses, which causes her to self-destruct. On deck, strong personalities collide, and a power struggle results in a near mutiny, as Gary clashes with his new overconfident deckhand, Chase.

"Two overlapping love triangles further complicate the dynamics on-board, and a shocking hookup puts Colin, Daisy and Gary’s friendship in jeopardy. With a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury and two different potentially season-ending engine failures, this is the most captivating and unpredictable season yet of Below Deck Sailing Yacht ."

Screen Rant

The 8 least memorable below deck franchise chefs, ranked.

Below Deck guests expect the very best, including delectable cuisine. Here are eight chefs who served great food but weren't really that memorable.

  • Chef Anthony Iracane brings new flavor to Below Deck season 11. He shares culinary skills and sparks dramatic moments.
  • Natasha De Bourg, David White, Kevin Dobson, and others may have been forgotten, but their dishes were impressive.
  • Tom Checketts, Adrian Martin, Ileisha Dell, Matt Burns, and Nate Post had highs and lows during their stints on the show.

Bravo's Below Deck season 11's in full swing, so it's the perfect time to look back at the franchise's eight least memorable chefs. These chefs may have had exceptional culinary skills, but they weren't able to leave their marks on the series. This installment of the long-running Bravo show introduces a crew filled with returning and fresh faces. It's led by Captain Kerry Titheradge, aboard the mega yacht, St. David . Captain Kerry replaced fan-favorite Captain Lee Rosbach, who used to helm the vessel. Captain Kerry's joined by returning cast members Chief Stew Fraser Olender and Deckhand-turned-Bosun, Ben Willoughby.

The franchise has featured many great chefs over the years. One of the Below Deck season 11 cast 's new faces is Chef Anthony Iracane, who made his series debut during the premiere episode of season 11. Chef Anthony's culinary skills will undoubtedly add flavor to the new season , and he has already impressed charter guests. Aside from his work in the kitchen, Chef Anthony will certainly be involved in some of the season's dramatic moments. As Chef Anthony tries to carve out an identity, it's time to reflect on talented Below Deck chefs who may have faded from memory.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

8 natasha de bourg, below deck sailing yacht season 2.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 featured executive chef Natasha De Bourg . Natasha came aboard with an impressive resume, including Michelin-star experience , so it was assumed that her success was a sure thing. The proud Trinidad native was thrilled to be able to represent Caribbean women on the show. She started her career by interning at multiple high-end restaurants and eventually landed a role as a head chef in France. During her time on the show, Natasha often opened up about her past, allowing fans to really connect with her. Despite that, her time as executive chef on the franchise is often forgotten.

Charter guests loved Natasha's food, but fans on a Reddit thread started by czej1800 were quick to say how unimpressive the food looked. " She does talk a LOT about her credentials but her food does look pretty simple and boring ," wrote one Reddit user, in a sentiment that was often repeated throughout the comment section. Another comment read, " Not only is her food unimpressive and poorly executed but she has a terrible, “holier than thou” attitude ." Despite how her food may look to some fans, charter guests were often impressed with Natasha's meals .

In spite of her culinary success, Natasha was not invited back to the franchise after Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2.

7 David White

Below deck mediterranean season 7.

Chef David White from Below Deck Mediterranean season 7 got high scores from guests and crew alike. Even Captain Sandy, who was hard to please, was a big fan of Dave. He was creative, had fun with different cuisines, and cared about presentation. Though Dave was always professional with the guests and served fantastic food, he had a messy romantic drama with Chief Stew Natasha Webb . Dave and Natasha were already embroiled in a romantic entanglement when they came aboard, but they kept the secret to themselves. At one point, during a fight, Dave threatened to expose their secret and later sent Natasha inappropriate text messages. He has since apologized for the regrettable behavior.

Before appearing on Below Deck Mediterranean , Dave had several years of cooking experience, and even opened his very own French restaurant . His appearance on the show was not his first experience as a yacht chef, and Dave was known to serve some of the best dishes seen on the series. The UK-born chef suffered a back injury and had to have spinal surgery after wrapping up filming season 7. The self-described adrenaline junkie is prepping for a second climb up Mount Everest in 2023.

Dave dreams of holding the world record for throwing the world's highest altitude dinner party.

6 Kevin Dobson

Below deck season 7.

Executive Chef Kevin Dobson , who only appeared on Below Deck season 7, was often seen butting heads with Chief Stew Kate Chastain, whom he believed wasn't meeting his high service standards. He was constantly undermining her at every turn. For Kate's part, she didn't appreciate Kevin's attitude. Kevin got on Kate's bad side, and he was always clashing with Captain Lee .

One night, the charter guests invited Captain Lee to a guest dinner, and Kevin forgot he had to make an extra plate for dinner that night . Captain Lee was understandably annoyed and told Kevin to step it up for the rest of the season. Though Kevin was able to work things out with Captain Lee, his relationship with Kate never improved, and he never returned to the Below Deck franchise.

5 Tom Checketts

Below deck mediterranean.

Tom Checketts came aboard during Below Deck Mediterranean season 5, halfway through, as a replacement. The season started off with Chef Kiko Lorran in the kitchen. When Chef Kiko failed to live up to Captain Sandy Yawn's high standards during a Las Vegas-themed dinner one night, Captain Sandy lost all faith in Kiko and sent him packing. With them needing a new chef, deckhand Malia White, who was dating Tom at the time, suggested him as the chef. Captain Sandy loved the idea and Tom arrived soon after to run the kitchen for the rest of the season.

Once aboard the mega yacht, the pressure was on and Tom felt it.

He even had a full meltdown one night when he had to get back to work before his break was over. He took his frustrations out on second stew Aesha Scott and made her cry. Tom later felt bad and apologized to her. Though chef Tom made quite an impression, he never returned to the franchise after his half season on Below Deck Mediterranean .

4 Adrian Martin

Below deck season 6.

Adrian Martin of Below Deck season 6 is often considered to be one of the franchise's best chefs. In addition to his impressive culinary skills, Adrian, who practiced yoga every morning, brought a much-needed sense of calm to the crew... sometimes. At other times, however, he had an abrasive personality and wasn't always the most respectful crew member . Adrian was criticized for making inappropriate comments towards third stew Laura Betancourt, which made her uncomfortable, and which some people characterized as misogynistic. Adrian wasn't asked back after Below Deck season 6 and has largely been forgotten.

3 Ileisha Dell

Below deck sailing yacht season 4.

Chef Ileisha Dell appeared on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 and never received any bad reviews from the guests. Overall, the charter guests seemed to enjoy what she brought to the table. In addition to her culinary skills, Ileisha never got involved in any of the drama among the rest of the crew, and mostly stayed in the background. The fact that Ileisha wasn't an absolute mess, like the rest of her crew mates, is probably why her time on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 was so forgettable.

2 Matt Burns

Below deck season 5.

Yacht Chef Matt Burns impressed charter guests with his culinary skills on Below Deck season 5. When Matt came aboard the yacht, he came with more than ten years of experience working in the restaurant industry, as well as six years of experience as an executive yacht chef . It was clear right away that Matt was passionate about his food and had the highest standards. Matt had traveled all over the world, cooking for famous athletes, Hollywood stars, and high-profile executives. Thanks to all the traveling he was doing, he learned how to cook many forms of cuisine, which impressed charter guests.

Despite being passionate about cooking, according to Matt 's Instagram, he is no longer cooking professionally and is, instead, a real estate agent. His Instagram profile bio reads, " I like to cook/Home Enthusiast, " but his feed is filled with homes that are on the market and homes that have been sold.

Matt still posts the occasional cooking video from time to time, but his career focus seems to be solidly on real estate.

1 Nate Post

Below deck down under season 1.

The inaugural season of Below Deck Down Under hit major turbulence, when Chef Ryan McKewon was difficult to get along with, while also proving himself to be mediocre in the galley. He often refused to accommodate the guests' needs and failed to communicate with chief stew Aesha Scott and the rest of the crew. Things got so bad that Captain Jason Chambers finally fired Ryan mid-season, and brought on Chef Nate Post to save the rest of the charter season. Luckily, Nate proved himself to be a much better chef than Ryan, and got along with the rest of the My Thalassa crew better than Ryan had. Nate ended his season with Captain Jason's respect, but he was never invited back to appear on Below Deck Down Under again.

Below Deck season 11 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo. Episodes are available for streaming on Tuesdays on Peacock.

Below Deck Season 11 Episode 9: Release Date & Where to Watch

T he eleventh season of “Below Deck,” which delves into the crew members’ daily lives and occupations on these opulent super yachts, is slated to premiere in February.

After ten seasons, Captain Lee Rosbach left the show. Fans of “Below Deck Adventure” may recognize Captain Kerry Titheradge as the new captain of the vessel.

The crew of the opulent yacht M/Y St. David is employed in Grenada, an island nation in the Caribbean, this season. Following its 2013 premiere, the Bravo reality series spawned other spinoffs, such as “Below Deck Mediterranean,” “Below Deck Sailing Yacht,” and “Below Deck Adventure.”

The crew members can be seen becoming more laid back and amiable with one another as “Below Deck” approaches its climax. The staff members will try their best to serve for the last time this season as they wait for one last primary charter guest.

The ‘Below Deck’ will go out and celebrate one last time before the finale. It remains to be seen if any pair will make a commitment to remain together. Will anyone experience heartbreak? Discover what lies ahead by continuing to read.

‘Below Deck’ Season 11 will have Ben Willoughby handling the majority of the duties after Jared Woodin was sacked from the show. Fans can anticipate the last charter guest to make a debut in Episode 9.

Captain Kerry Titheradge will be the unifying factor among the crew members, keeping the squad cohesive. The crew members may have some tense exchanges. However, it is anticipated that the cast members would work out their differences before the conclusion.

Where Are the Below Deck Season 1 Cast Members Now?

Discover where the OG cast — including C.J. LeBeau, Adrienne Gang, and David Bradberry — are today.

below deck sailing yacht season 1 episode 4

When  Below Deck  first set sail in July 2013, now one knew how big of a hit it would be. Today, the original show is part of a major franchise including Below Deck Mediterranean , Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Below Deck Adventure , and Below Deck Down Under  — and we  still  can't get enough of the seafaring drama.

How to Watch

Watch  Below Deck on Bravo Mondays at 9/8c and next day on  Peacock . Catch up on the Bravo App .

That's to say, while there have been many iconic cast members over the years, we'd be remiss to forget the OGs.

"We live together and work together, and when you're in such close quarters it gets stressful. It gets frustrating," said chief stew  Adrienne Gang in Season 1, Episode 1, perfectly summarizing the relationship of her cast (and the groups who would follow).

Ahead, find out what your favorite Below Deck Season 1 cast members — including Adrienne,  Captain Lee Rosbach , Aleks Taldykin , Ben Robinson , C.J. LeBleau , Kat Held , Samantha Orme , Eddie Lucas , and David Bradberry — have been up to in the 10-plus years since the season ended.

Where is Captain Lee Rosbach of Below Deck now?

To no one's surprise, the Stud of the Sea stayed on Below Deck through Season 10. While he didn't return for Season 11, Lee is still doing what he does best — captaining and saying his piece .

Off the water and off the set, he loves spending time with his wife , Mary Anne.

Where is Below Deck 's Season 1 first officer Aleks Taldykin now?

First Officer Aleks made one of the most remarkable cross-franchise Bravo cameos when he showed up on Season 4 of Vanderpump Rules  for a date with Kristen Doute . These days, the Los Angeles native is still in the yachting industry, running a company called Elite Yacht Management.

He's also recently become a father.

"As I turned 38 today, reflecting on life, wanted to share the best birthday gift we could have ever asked for. Our son Krew Taldykin," he shared  via Instagram in March 2024. "He’s already breaking hearts out on the streets, and will be driving yachts in no time."

(Kristen commented a couple of crying face emojis on the announcement, naturally.)

Where is Below Deck 's Chef Ben Robinson now?

Chef Ben has made quite a few appearances in the Below Deck franchise over the years, sticking it out on the OG series until Season 4. He then transitioned to Below Deck Med,  helping  Captain Sandy Yawn out after a team situation turned sour in the galley.

Today, the chef is still cooking his delicacies and traveling the world. He runs a successful catering business and is available for private events, private instruction, and guest appearances. He also launched a  knife  and a  hot sauce  in 2022.

Where is Below Deck Season 1 chief stew Adrienne Gang now?

While Adrienne's tough work ethic didn't always mesh with her team, the first ever Below Deck chief stew certainly knew what she was doing.

In fact, she still works in the industry, serving as culinary director of Blue Oceans Yachting and running a Below Deck -themed podcast called Gangplank Report . In 2018, she married chiropractor Dr. Andrew Danks .

Where is Below Deck Season 1 second engineer C.J. LeBeau now?

You might remember C.J. as the engineer who was running around shirtless in Episode 2, much to Captain Lee's chagrin. If you recall further, he didn't last long, exciting the show after he was caught taking a swim and having a drink with third stew Samantha.

We haven't heard much from him since.

Where is Below Deck second stew Kat Held now?

Kat stuck around for Season 2 of Below Deck , but  told The Daily Dish  in 2015 that she eventually left yachting behind entirely. After realizing she wanted to try something new, she began bartending in Newport and went back to school.

In January 2020, she appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen alongside other franchise favorites to celebrate Below Deck 's 100th episode.

Where is Below Deck Season 1 third stew Samantha Orme now?

Samantha, who went by Sam, came to Below Deck  with some unique experiences: Her family owned an 80-foot catamaran. Working on a boat was a little different than enjoying one, however.

"Working on a mega-yacht is not for me," she eventually shared during a Season 1 confessional. "I had bigger hopes for what this would entail."

These days, Sam is married and has two adorable daughters, of whom she shares the cutest photos on her Instagram .

Where is Below Deck  Season 1 first deckhand Eddie Lucas now?

After working as a deckhand in Season 1, Eddie transitioned to bosun work in Season 2 and 3. During his third go around, Captain Lee had to take Eddie aside after the then-bosun admitted to cheating on his girlfriend with a fellow crew member.

In January 2023, news broke that Eddie had climbed the ranks even further and was captaining a tugboat named   Lynne Moran.

“A lot of it was just hard work, keeping your mouth shut, being quiet. You know that whole ‘squeaky wheel gets the grease’? Well, the squeaky wheel also gets replaced. So just keep your head down and your nose to the grindstone and work hard. And do the right thing. That’s treating people with respect," he told  The Baltimore Banner .  "I think that’s huge, and in my industry, the hierarchy is important. You’ve got to respect it. You don’t want to start arguments until you get to be a captain. Now, I can be a pain in the ass.”

The now-captain also has an adorable dog: Bert .

Where is second deckhand David Bradberry from Below Deck now?

"I've got the least amount of experience and probably the lowest amount of credentials, but give me a challenge and I'll meet it," shared David Bradberry in Episode 1.

While David got engaged during Season 1, he and his longtime partner Trevor Knight are no longer together.

He returned in Season 3 when Captain Lee found himself shorthanded, appearing in Episodes 11-13.

He's since appeared in a number of LGBTQ-themed movies and shorts, according to IMDb .

‘Below Deck’ Sails Into a New Era

With a different captain at the helm and new production elements, the reality show about charter yachts is switching up its style.

A man in a crew member suit stands behind a bar and tends to flowers in a vase.

By Shivani Gonzalez

Starting a new season of “ Below Deck ” can be similar to returning to summer camp as a kid — you know it’s going to be fun and that you’ll be in the same environment, but some of the people will be different and you’re not quite sure what the vibes will be.

This time around, in particular, feels that way because for the first time in the show’s 11-season run, Captain Lee Rosbach is no longer at the helm. It’s a pivotal moment for a franchise that has become one of the most popular entities in the sprawling universe of reality TV since premiering on Bravo in 2013 . The show’s appeal was built on endless romances between various crew members (“boatmances,” as they came to be known), horrible charter guests and some sort of passive-aggressive fight about how many shackles of the anchor chain should be in the water. And there was always Rosbach presiding over the drama as he trudged around the boat, reeling off one liners like “I’m madder than a pissed-on chicken” and “we screwed the pooch so many times we should have a litter of puppies running around.”

At the center of the show now is Kerry Titheradge (the stern yet goofy captain of “Below Deck Adventure” fame), who is managing the Motor Yacht Saint David with the cheeky chief stew Fraser Olender by his side.

With that change in captain, the energy on the boat — both onscreen and off — is different, according to Olender.

“Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” Olender said in an interview. “With Kerry, he taught me a lot and sort of forced to me confront issues directly with my team, work them out, as opposed to making executive decisions too soon.”

This shift in management style changes the central conflict — whereas the drama once focused on the captain swiftly kicking out any unpleasant crew member (as we might have seen with Rosbach), the drama now focuses on the whole crew trying to get along (since Titheradge gives people those second chances).

Additionally, Olender noted that the captain’s relationship with the crew can also affect the drama on board.

“Captains absolutely do get involved, whether they know it or not,” Olender said, adding that for the crew, everything is about “trying to impress your captain.”

This phenomenon plays out early in the new season when the lead deckhand, Ben Willoughby, called out a fellow crew member over the radios about not wearing a life vest — something he easily could have done in private. The drama that followed became an interpersonal conflict between the two of them, both with the ultimate goal of impressing Titheradge. (Of course, the two deckhands had kissed on the previous crew night out, which is more in line with the “Below Deck” drama viewers are used to.)

For “Below Deck” showrunners, the changeovers in the cast allowed them to rethink what the show would look like.

From the season premiere, it was immediately apparent that Rosbach’s absence wasn’t the only change this season: The filming is sleeker, the daily, multicourse meals prepared by the chef are given their own glamour shots and the cameras sometimes cut to the perspectives of yachties running around on deck and through the galley.

“Our showrunner, Lauren Simms, is an avid consumer of all different kinds of media,” Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, said in an interview. “She pitches us different ideas on how to stylistically evoke different feelings and change the mood a little bit of ‘Below Deck’ without removing what really works.”

Moving through the rest of the season, and potentially through seasons to come, Olender is aiming to bring a cutthroat management style while also bringing affection for his stews, all with his signature British humor.

On Bravo’s side, there are changes in the works for the other “Below Deck” spinoffs — including “Sailing Yacht,” “Mediterranean” and “Down Under” — which collectively, have 26 seasons. Specifically, Samton said that “Down Under” is currently filming and that even though fans should be ready to see new things, the show will stay true to its original concept.

“These are real yachties doing a real job so you have to stay within those confines because the audience isn’t going to want anything that is too produced or fake,” Samton said. “So we have to find ways to reinvent while staying true to the original concept of the show.”

And as Olender said: “I’m sure that every year if I were to work with this franchise again, that I’ll be thrown a collection of total chaotic and disastrous stews — that’s what makes it watchable.”

An earlier version of this article misquoted Fraser Olender, the chief stew of “Below Deck.” He said, “I also feel like Kerry this season. ... Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” not “I feel like Kerry this season, as opposed to Lee, has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him.”

9-1-1 season 7 episode 2 review: rock the boat.

below deck sailing yacht season 1 episode 4

If there's someone you want to be on a potentially deadly cruise with, it's Athena Grant-Nash.

While the cruise from hell kept getting decidedly worse, Athena and Bobby found themselves in a terrifying position during 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2 , which had them prepared to say goodbye to one another for the last time.

If that sounds terribly dramatic, it absolutely was. But it's also 9-1-1 at its very best.

Concerned Buck & Eddie - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

When the credits rolled on 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 1 , pirates had come aboard the ship, and it looked like things were about to get real. And they did, but not necessarily in the way expected.

From the exceptionally effective and invigorating media blitz leading up to the premiere, we've always known there would be an explosion on the ship. But once those pirates entered the equation, it wasn't clear how the two connected, if at all.

Chaos On The Cruise - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

Well, now we know.

The pirates and their hostage situation were extremely short-lived, as they really did just want that dongle, and then they were ready to bounce.

Poor Norman was the biggest loser in this situation, and nothing was his fault.

He thought he and Lola were living the dream, living the mundane everyday life and setting out to sea where they could be on a different beach with a different cocktail every day.

But little did he know, Lola was seemingly as bored as ever. And that's saying something.

Bobby In Therapy - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

There was something shady about the short interaction we saw between Julian and Lola previously, and nothing on 9-1-1 is ever done by mistake. Athena picked up on the shadiness, and Athena, being Athena, was not about to let any guilty parties get away scot-free.

Athena may have left the uniform at home, but she will always do her job.

Julian truly was a snake, and he was content to let someone get shot rather than give over the damn money until Athena forced his hand.

Everything happening on the cruise ship was shrouded with chaotic energy, but they did try to give some insight into Julian's motives, though I'm still not sure what exactly they were.

He branded himself a white-collar criminal, and maybe he technically was, but that doesn't mean you're not a bad guy. He was still committing a crime, and mostly everything that transpired on that boat from the moment the pirates hopped aboard could be directly traced back to his actions.

Lead Pirate - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

Everything except the weather, of course. He's not that powerful.

Everything moved quickly from the second the pirates hopped off the boat with their riches, and the bomb went off.

Athena and Bobby jumping right into their natural roles as leaders is what we've come to expect from the pair, and there was a tender moment between Bobby and Norman juxtaposed with Athena, who was laying into Lola and Julian.

Ochoa: Captain Nash. If it wasn’t for your wife, I never would have made it out of there. Bobby: Where is she? Julian: Saving the ship. Bobby: Of course she is. Permalink: Of course she is.

This was the Angela Bassett hour, and she delivered in every single way as she took it upon herself to help save so many lives on the ship.

As scared as he was when he couldn't find Athena, you could see how prideful Bobby was, knowing that his wife was stepping up to be the hero she'd always been destined to be.

Even though we knew that a near-drowning scene was on the horizon, it was still gut-wrenching in all the best ways.

Helping Out - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

9-1-1 has perfected the art of tugging on your heartstrings until the dam bursts.

Bobby and Athena haven't had a perfect marriage, but it's been close. They found one another at a time when they were both open to something, and they decided to leap together.

Taking those kinds of leaps can be incredibly scary, but also exactly what you need. And Bobby and Athena have always needed each other.

It's interesting to see the two different fears Bobby and Athena had heading into the cruise. Their talking to each other about things ahead of time probably could have saved them an incredible amount of emotional stress but would have robbed us of our near-death confessions.

Bobby not thinking he was worthy of Athena, their love, and his second chance may be a battle he continually grapples with. But I so love how Athena is always there to remind him that he's deserving of this life he's built for himself.

Eddie Listens - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

There's a boulder on Bobby's shoulder at all times, weighing him down and reminding him of his perceived failures, and it's a pain that he'll probably always live with. Being with Athena, building this family, and working at the 118 with his found family may have lessened the weight, but they never took it away.

Athena's assurance that she and Bobby were both more than deserving of this second act together was such a beautiful moment between the pair, especially knowing how things were at times during 9-1-1 Season 2 .

Athena had a lot of fear about letting herself be happy and how it looked for her to be divorced and moving on, and Bobby never had those struggles, but as evidenced here, he still had fear about feeling like he'd somehow pressured Athena into both the marriage and their current predicament.

There's nothing like the fear of knowing you're potentially minutes away from dying to bring a lot of things full circle, and even though they were both scared of different things, they both also realized at that moment how much love was there.

Serious Buck - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

I LOVE a sad but poetic and cathartic love declaration! And that's precisely what 9-1-1 gave us as they wrapped around each other, shared a little kiss, and waited for the water to take them.

So dramatic and so perfect all at the time.

The bottom line is that their lives are messy, and I don't foresee the mess stopping any time soon, but now that they're both aware of what the other feels, there's no reason they can't get beyond this by firing up that communication.

Perhaps they should even book a little joint session with Frank, who may miss the extra money from separate sessions but would be helpful to them in the long run.

Thinking that escaping that death trap meant the terror ended meant underestimating the craziness this show loves to unleash. Now, we'll get everyone upside down with the ship sinking some more, people injured, and time running out.

Hen Reacts - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

I'd say good luck in the most sarcastic of tones if I didn't know Bobby and Athena were still on that boat, and Hen was on land about to gather the troops.

Bless Henrietta Wilson for trusting her gut.

It was overall a depressing hour for Hen, who found her temporary captaincy in jeopardy over a situation in which it appeared she didn't do anything wrong.

I won't pretend to know what all the rules are in certain situations, but it seemed that she was following the correct protocol throughout the entire emergency. Once medical care was refused, the right thing to do was respect that refusal, right?

Things obviously went tragically wrong and threw everything into turmoil, but while Hen was in the thick of the emergency, she made the right calls.

Buck Is All Smiles - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

Unfortunately, Hen has undoubtedly seen a scene like that play out before during her lengthy career, and she was steadfast in her convictions. But being questioned by her friends understandably put her on edge.

I understand where Chimney, Buck, and Eddie were coming from, especially since none of them were as sure as Hen was about what happened. They did have her back, but they also wanted to reassure her that if there were some wrongdoing on her part, they would still have her back.

But to Hen, it felt like a betrayal for them to doubt her, and an insinuation that she would want anyone to lie for her had to feel incredibly overwhelming.

NONE of them would want the others to lie for them if they did something wrong, least of all Hen. She's a big girl who can accept her mistakes and face the consequences of her actions.

Hen wasn't even off duty more than maybe an hour before she quit sulking and immediately dove into investigation mode in a way Athena would be proud of.

Hen & Karen Talk - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

I have long been on the 'give me more scenes with Maddie and Hen' train, and Hen going to Maddie and using her resources at the dispatch center was smart. It's not exactly them hanging out for fun, but I'll take the win!

Maybe it's because I'd just watch Athena and Bobby get taken hostage and almost die together on said cruise ship, but it was incredibly frustrating to see no one take anything Hen had to say seriously.

First of all, this is Hen. She's always right, and that's just how it will always be. Secondly, the boat was suddenly nowhere on the sea, and a massive hurricane was coming. Why was no one taking Hen more seriously?

I'm mostly looking at that rude Chief, but also anyone who doesn't immediately believe Hen Wilson will forever get a stank look from me.

The cruise has been separate from things at the 118, which was a nice departure from how these opening-season disasters usually play out. Typically, everyone is directly affected by the disaster in some way, either being caught in it or helping in the aftermath.

Hen & Chimney Chat - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

This time, it's just been Bobby and Athena, but now that Hen's on the case, the 118 will be getting involved in no time. And they are not in the business of leaving anyone behind.

  • Even though it was obvious Bobby and Athena were not going to die on that ship in that manner, that was still a tense scene because it did not feel like there was a way out for them.
  • 9-1-1 LOVES a redemption arc, and they gave it to Julian as he turned into the Bathena savior. But I have a strong feeling he will somehow escape when this is all said and done like he originally planned.
  • If Norman makes it off that ship alive, he needs to leave Lola ASAP, and I hope that's where this storyline heads. Lola needs to go back to jail, and Norman needs to get his second chance at love and a life without that woman.

Chimney Waits - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

  • Norman not wanting to leave the boat without Bobby was lowkey the sweetest little moment. So stupid for his health, but so sweet.
  • Those boys were DEVASTATED when Hen walked out on them. Their hearts were in the right place, but Hen wasn't wrong to feel how she felt. I need BIG hugs the next time they see her!
  • I already said this was Angela Bassett's hour, but it must be repeated. The comedic timing, the emotional beats, and the action! What can't she do? The answer is nothing.
  • Is there only one therapist in Los Angeles? I just know Frank keeps immaculate notes, so he makes sure he doesn't mix anything up while seeing all these people who know each other.

Eddie Chats In The Locker Room - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2

It will be all hands on deck when this emergency disaster wraps up in the final hour, as the 118 will be called in for the rescue of all rescues!

9-1-1 Season 7 is off to a very steady start, and I'm curious to hear all your thoughts about this installment as we head toward its conclusion.

So, drop all your thoughts below, and let's chat about it!
