Join our friendly and legendary crew on the ultimate catamaran adventure, as we welcome you aboard the Afrikat Catamaran, our home to you, on the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. We ensure that you get personal attention from our friendly 3 man crew and a relaxed and fun atmosphere onboard.
Leaving from Puerto Base, Puerto Rico, we cruise along the impressive coastline of the South West of Gran Canaria, enjoying the amazing views and beautiful weather. We pass by the Port of Mogan, the beautiful fishing village, known locally as “Little Venice” as we see the beautiful beaches and dramatic cliff and coves. Onward bound, we head along the protected coastline, to see our Volcanic island´s natural formations, towards a calm crystal clear bay called “El Perchel”.
Here we anchor so that you can enjoy a swim in the clear blue refreshing water and even take a look at the marine life enjoying the bay. Craving fun, speed or adventure? – then try the donut ride and be whizzed along the waves, or be in control of the speed on the Jet-ski or experience the amazing sensation of parasailing – all watersports at a special onboard discounted rate. You can also take a fun journey with a Captain in our speedboat (optional). Or, if you fancy, do absolutely nothing except lie back on the comfortable sun-cushions, soak up the beautiful Canarian sunshine and relax!
Time for something to eat, so be pampered as our crew prepare your meal. Throughout you experience and time with us on board, there is a choice of Sangria, beer, soft drinks, juice, coffee or water available. We care and want to avoid the use of one time plastic – all our customers receive a souvenir reusable drinking glass.

This is the amount you pay to reserve your Afrikat charter date. The deposit, in this case, is a portion of the total amount to be paid and therefore will not be returned after the activity.
The remaining amount to be paid is noted as Arrival. You will pay this on the day of your booked experience upon check-in at the luxury yacht in Puerto Rico. This can be done in cash or via card unless your ticket states otherwise.
Your paid down payment, and the amount to be paid on arriving, will be listed on your E-ticket that you will receive after you place your order.

- Do not forget your Club Canary ticket. You can have it on your phone or printed out.
- Make sure you carry some cash and a credit card with you, as the tour requires final payment before it begins.
- Pack your swimwear, a towel and sunscreen.
- The crew of this boat speaks several languages.
- A maximum of 66 participants can join the private trip.
- On the catamaran, there are sunbathing spots and sitting areas in the shade.
- The catamaran is accessible for people in a wheelchair.
- Smoking is allowed only at the designated areas.

- This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

- Cancellation 7 days before the event 0% refund.
- If you do not cancel in time or you don’t show up you lose the deposit.
- If you get sick or want to end the trip earlier, you won’t get refunded.

Animaos a disfrutar de una travesía por la costa de Puerto Rico a bordo de un catamarán desde el que podréis divisar cómodamente los cautivadores paisajes del sur de Gran Canaria.
Tras pasar a recogeros por vuestro hotel del sur de Gran Canaria , nos desplazaremos en autobús hasta el muelle de Puerto Rico , donde zarparemos a bordo del catamarán Afrikat 69 .
La embarcación, de 21 metros de eslora y capacidad para 69 personas , dispone de un servicio de barra libre a bordo que incluye agua, café, zumos, refrescos, cervezas y sangría. Además, cuenta con una zona de solárium para que podáis broncearos mientras navegamos por la costa de Puerto Rico, en el litoral suroccidental de Gran Canaria .
A mitad de trayecto, el catamarán efectuará una parada. Durante dos horas, os daremos la posibilidad de realizar diferentes actividades acuáticas. Si os apetece, podréis disfrutar de un paseo en lancha rápida , pilotar una moto de agua, utilizar el equipo de snorkel o, incluso, hacer parasailing. Para reponer fuerzas, cargaremos las pilas con un almuerzo a bordo compuesto de wrap de pollo con guarnición de ensalada y chips o verduras salteadas para vegetarianos.
Después de comer, descansemos en la cubierta del barco antes de poner rumbo hacia Puerto Rico. Desde allí, regresaremos por carretera a vuestro alojamiento.
La excursión incluye la recogida en los hoteles de las siguientes zonas turísticas del sur de Gran Canaria : Bahía Feliz, San Agustín, Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas, Costa Meloneras, Taurito, Playa Del Cura y Arguineguín.
Si no os alojáis en estas zonas o preferís ir por vuestra cuenta al punto de encuentro, deberéis presentaros con 30 minutos de antelación en el muelle de Puerto Rico .
Actividades acuáticas opcionales
El paseo en lancha rápida y el uso del equipo de snorkel son opcionales pero, en cualquier caso, no conllevarán coste extra. Asimismo, también podréis disfrutar de otras actividades acuáticas durante la ruta. Los precios por persona son:

After boarding the Catamaran in the harbour of Puerto Rico, we sail South West of the Island, towards Playa De Taurito, or Playa De Tauro, made famous for its rustic feel (weather depending). Enjoy the glorious Canarian sunshine, whilst chilling on the nets or one of the padded deck areas, whilst listening to chilled tunes played through the trip. There is an inclusive bar during the entire trip and this includes beer, wine, sangria, and soft drinks, so laying in the sun with a cold drink seems like the perfect thing to do! For those who struggle with the heat, there is a shaded area also. After an hour or so, we reach our swim stop point. This is the time for those of you who want to cool off, to jump off the boat and enjoy the ocean. Lunch is served, which is freshly prepared by our chef on board and it is very nice. It is marinated chicken, canarian potatoes, mojo sauce (Canarian speciality), salad and fresh bread. As we cruise a little further, you should take this time to relax with a full stomach and sunbathe with a cocktail or beer. Our final stop is where you can all enjoy a banana boat ride (included). Pick up and return to hotel was included in the price. The only 2 negative things were we didn’t get the Parasailing pictures o n the day but they have pulled out all the stops to get the photo’s for us. The other thing the transport from our hotel to the boat did take quite a long time the driver told us it was because clients were late coming out so this wasn’t the boat companies fault and the service all in all was fantastic. Would definitely recommend! Erasmus spring breakTwelve people in our Erasmus group did this tour last week and we all had a fab time. Great value for money, food was fab and drinks are plentiful and packed a punch. The staff were so nice and friendly. Some of our group paid for extra water sport activities, although they said they were a little short but I guess this is normal where ever you go and do Jetski’s in the world but they did really enjoy them.
