I've been twice for brunch with my friend who is a member. I'm a member of the LAAC, so I think I have reciprocity, but I'm not sure. The brunch menu is limited, and so is their drink menu which is the only thing I would change. They have bloody mary's and mimosa's but I would love a bellini or a paloma. I've had their breakfast burger which is incredible, and their huevos rancheros which are good. I would definitely get the breakfast burger each time. Haven't been there to play pickleball, but they have an outdoor court and an outdoor pool. If my friend decides to learn how to sail then I'll come and see how it differs from the Long Beach sailing program.

Came here for an event & love the views. Would come back again. Easy free parking. You can also rent this place out.

We came here for lunch not realizing it was their 100 year celebration. They were having a buffet brunch so I can't provide a review on their restaurant. The club was clean and had a ton of places to relax, both in the sun and in the shade. Beautiful tennis and pickleball courts, pool and more. Everyone we met was so friendly Jelena gave us our tour and handled our charges. She was so kind and helpful. We really appreciated the attention we received from her. The brunch buffet was decent. Beautiful club!

Incredibly fabulous club with incredible facilities including the marina, pool, tennis courts, and lovely dining room. Enjoyed the Gorgeous, Friday Evening, All-You-can-eat Seafood and Prime Rib Banquet. The food, ambience and live music were all A+++!
We had a large luncheon at the club last week and the planning and execution and food and drink were all perfect. Angela and her team were so accommodating and responsive. The special lunch menu was terrific and Ed the bar tender did a great job keeping up with our orders as did Nera who took care of our every service need. It is just a spectacular setting for any event and the dedication from the staff was wonderful. Can't wait to do future events at the club!
This is a gorgeous spot to hold an event. We hosted 40 people for a baby shower and Tiffani and her team (especially Adrian the captain for our event) went above and beyond to make sure each of our guests was treated royally. The Brunch Buffet included Brioche French Toast and Eggs Benedict that were superb. The Hickory smoked bacon and chicken apple sausage amazing. The seasonal fruits were incredibly fresh and the Mimosas with a top shelf champagne couldn't have been better. And of course the setting with the view of the harbor and boats is breathtaking. We can't wait to have the next celebratory event at the CYC.
As a neighbor of the club, I have to say that they allow events far too late and far too loud. I have called their desk to request the volume be turned down only to be placed on hold and never having my concerns addressed. Incredibly rude people. Cannot wait for the club to be shut down.
I came here for an event that I wasn't organizing so can't comment on the pricing/booking experience, but the California Yacht Club definitely has some amazing views and is a great place for a classy gathering. Coming here around sunset, you can stand on a beautifully lit deck and see the yachts docked in the marina. Most of the on-site venues have floor-to-ceiling glass which gives you a good view even when you're indoors. The service is great with prompt drinks delivery and catering. I would definitely consider hosting my own event here in the future!
Great experience all around... from the location...to the service and of course the food is SUPERB! Exactly what I need after a long day!
Wedding 5/13/23. California Yacht Club was the first venue we looked at, and it was by far the best choice for us despite numerous other venues visited. We were so impressed with the space, the ambiance, and the staff. For anyone who has visited CYC before, please note that Miki Mootsey and Adam Spicer (both of whom were so helpful to us in the initial planning) are no longer with the company. Thankfully, Brooke Caress, the current Catering and Event Coordinator, was phenomenal in making sure our day matched our vision! Brooke and her team were extremely professional and detail oriented. Brooke walked us through the venue and the plan on multiple occasions and was willing to make any adjustments we wanted to make sure the event was perfect for us. She had great advice during the rehearsal and made sure everything went smoothly. She did so much for us before we even got to the venue on the day of to make sure everything was where we wanted it! We had the ceremony on the grass area, and then the staff converted it during the cocktail hour so we could have our dream outdoor reception. The food supplied by the venue was also absolutely amazing! We unreservedly recommend the filet mignon entree, which so many guests told us was the best steak they had ever had! For appetizers, we had beef wellington, artichoke bruschetta, and crab cakes, all of which were delicious. Brooke made sure we had appetizers and drinks in the bridal room after the ceremony to spend some time together as a couple before joining the crowd. Brooke and her team kept everything running smoothly with practically no involvement from us, which allowed us to enjoy the wedding, our family, and our friends even more than we expected. It was a wonderful day, made all the more amazing by the efforts of Brooke and her team!
My name is Nicole Hickey owner with All About You Events . I just completed a wedding for my client last Friday , May 26th at the CA Yacht Club. I would highly recommend this venue for any special occasion . The on site Catering Coordinator Brooke Caress who is hands on thru the entire wedding wedding process , follows up promptly to all emails and phone calls immediately. The banquet staff was efficient and friendly at all times. The chef was personable and the food was delicious . This is how all venues should aspire to be in our Hospitality Industry .

California Yacht Club celebrates the beginning of sailing season in style

Just three months after a devastating fire all but destroyed their exquisite clubhouse building, the California Yacht Club celebrated the opening day of sailing season in style over the weekend. Blessed with a beautiful sunny day, members and guests were treated to a mardi-gras-inspired party, with a bountiful banquet, activities and entertainment on Saturday evening.
However, on the night of December 11 last year, at least five fire trucks and a substantial number of firefighters were dispatched to the location of the clubhouse at Marina Del Rey. The blaze was so intense that two firefighters were injured as they tried for two hours to bring it under control.
According to John Myers, Senior Vice President of the California Yacht Club , arson was soon ruled out and the cause was traced back to an electrical issue in the building’s kitchen. Originally built in 1967, most of the interior has been gutted and tragically many paintings and antique memorabilia was lost.
“Since then we’ve been slowly and painstakingly picking up the pieces, working through insurance, but also really starting to get on with what we have to do,” says Myers adding, “Fortunately, nothing besides the clubhouse was damaged, so we still have our outdoor paddle tennis and pickleball courts and we’re actively encouraging the outdoor activities this summer.”
Those who are keen sailors in Santa Monica might already know that a couple of sizable regattas have already taken place. However, this weekend is regarded as the “official” start to the season as the date marks a traditional time when the sea ice had melted sufficiently on the East Coast to allow sailing to once again take place. It is often accompanied by the use of large, loud canons at yacht clubs around the country to signify the “breaking of the ice.” Thankfully though, the only ice you’ll find here is in your gin and tonic.
Myers explains that a temporary clubhouse will be erected on the west side of the site, where part of the parking lot is currently. The asphalt surface will have some serious wooden decking laid over the top to level everything out. “This way, we’re going to be able to enjoy stunning sunsets every single evening,” he says.
Myers himself had only been in his role at the Yacht Club for a couple of weeks when the tragic incident happened, but he firmly believes the community, along with every member, will be galvanized by the efforts to repair and replace everything.
“If I was a betting man, I think this thing will be finished in about three and a half year’s time. There’s still a long way to go, working with the county and coastal commission, plus long-term lease extension discussions,” he says. But Myers is optimistic, saying that great efforts are being made during this time to rescue and restore as much of the old building as possible before demolition begins, plus the addition of new features. “That old building didn’t even have an elevator, so that’s going to change,” he laughs.
The massive, makeshift marquee will feature a similarly-sized dining area and bar and will be used for functions and private events in much the same way as the old venue was. In addition, Myers plans to have smaller, satellite-style events as well, “On busy weekends, I’m hoping to have barbecues and taco stands and other attractions both here [in front of the clubhouse] and in the parking lot.”
The weekend’s festivities attracted a very large crowd, many of whom enjoyed the event from the comfort of their own luxury watercraft. Standing on the impressively manicured grass lawn, the burnt shell of the clubhouse is both a spectacular and sad sight, but it’s clear that the Southern California sailing community remains determined and dedicated to rebuilding, bigger and better.

This can help you enjoy streamlined vacation planning , since you can make all your reservations on the same day—rather than checking availability day after day.
- All Other Guests: Make reservations up to 60 days in advance.
Explore dining experiences available for booking during your vacation.
Dining in the Theme Parks To dine at an in-park, table-service restaurant, you need a confirmed dining reservation for the total number of Guests—regardless of age—along with a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on that same date for each Guest ages 3 and up.
Dining reservations do not guarantee access to a park, and Park Hopper availability may change daily. We recommend that Guests book in-park dining at the park where they have a park reservation.
