It really not a bad product but it has a film on top of the wood. Its a way keeping the consistent look of the product. I removed the film to show a closer look at the wood underneath and show a side by side comparison. We ordered light grey but were sent dark grey. It’s has a brownish hue more than a grey. Good if you want something natural looking for but you may be disappointed if you wanted a dark grey like a charcoal. They fit above our baseboard with little extending over which is nice. However, 6 inches is not the exact width of the panels. They have a slit to help them connect like shiplap. So, they end up being 5.625in. This was a big deal because we did the math accordingly and ran out of panels which we would’ve have the exact # correct of if it was accurate. Keep that in mind for your purchase.. Edward. Our corrugated metal wainscoting comes in single sheets at 36 inches tall and 26 inches wide. Steel wainscoting style option: Rusted - pre-rusted and created with an all-natural, accelerated rust treatment. Because the solution is spray applied, rust is more evenly distributed, and the result is a more even coat of copper rust color that completely covers the entire front side of the panel. Galvalume - new galvanized steel, light silver, semi-sheen. No rust or color variation. Antique galvanized - antiqued steel, dark grey look, weathered, flat texture. No rust or color variation. The finish wears with time (can produce white rust with exposure to moisture), will continue to age with exposure, and may scratch (does have normal scratches from manufacturing).

I bought the antique.... It turned out absolutely beautiful!! the sizing is a little awkward when purchasing. It is 3 ft tall by 2 ft across. This will help you when calculating. I had to make a couple of orders because of this mistake. LOL another trick we did when installing it because of the metal bldg and drywall attachment issue was we liquid nail glued it to the walls. Simple DIY installation with a finish or Brad nailer.

We love it! We spent 30 mins sorting each box in to 9 piles. then it took us about 10 hours to complete the wall (the longest was the first 3 or 4 rows as we cut around the vent and socket but then it was easy. You do have to swap out pieces and try a few to get the best fit each time. My husband and i are novice at doing this and so long as you take your time, you can do it. The instructions were good....mark out your stud lines first and also use a nail gun. We didn't paint the wall behind black, but each time we put a piece of wood up we looked to see if we needed to do any paintning behind the joins or holes and then just dabbed the wall in those areas - however we did miss a few joins that we didn't see until we shone the light directly on it as we finished off as it was getting dark. When you buy a few boxes you should spend 30 mins sorting the wood near to your project in to 9 piles. The wood comes in 3 widths and 3 lengths eg we called them wide, medium and narrow. Each width also comes in 3 lengths, small, medium and long (hence 9 piles) so that as you are building as you go you can reach for a wide long piece and they are all together so you can try a few. item is ok it’s a laminate over wood not a stained color - i gave 3 stars due to the packaging this is a replacement because the other came damaged it’s only packaged with a thin styrofoam tissue in a skimpy box that tears easily and then your item gets damaged like this but going to keep it not worth the headache of a return to get another broken one- so after all that and working around damaged pieces final result it came out nice. Love this peel and stick wood. Product says it comes in varied lengths. All my pieces were the same size except 2. It sticks so well that you cannot reposition it so make sure it is where u want it first time. We rented a miter saw and it worked perfect. The first board we cut splinter on the edge. Looks so good! I’m a rookie when it comes to stuff like this, but this wasn’t so hard to install. We made some mistakes but it still looks fantastic. It comes in single planks- the picture shows three, but it’s all separate planks you lay on top of each other and they make the perfect spacing. We used liquid nail and hammered nails in since we don’t have a brad or nail gun. Gun would make this job even easier, but you live and learn. We painted after and it looks awesome. Couple planks came in damaged, (and boxes looked kind of roughed up when I got them) but Wayfair was awesome with their customer service. Super happy.. Jennifer. I've been looking for well over a year for a product like this that would be easy to work with, thick enough to hide some wall flaws, but thin enough to be able to work with behind my pedestal sink and not have too much of a profile against my trim. I am so happy I found this product! I am a relatively advanced DIYer, but even a beginner could use this and get beautiful results. It cuts easily with a box knife or scissors and is lightweight; just remember to measure twice and cut once CAREFULLY. The planks have plenty of variability in color and grain, as well as a convincing texture. While they acclimated I separated the planks first into three piles based on how much character each one has. I also cut some of them to different lengths and was able to create a nice, random pattern that looks very realistic. I had minimal waste, and all of the planks arrived in excellent shape with no damage to the corners or edges as you will often find with these kinds of products. We also did not want the 3D foam because it damages too easily and is not durable. This product was perfect! It fits like a puzzle piece so seams are hidden. It’s a wood product and the 3D bricks looks and feels realistic. We used Gorilla construction glue for extra durability. It’s easy to cut into the size you need with a regular saw.
