The interior layout and design of RADIANT have been kept a secret from the public although it is rumored to be very modern and tasteful with contemporary design choices rather than traditional.

The yacht can welcome twenty guests in ten cabins as well as 44 crew members. She has a cinema, an indoor pool, elevators, and a spa onboard.

RADIANT was built by Luerssen at their Lemwerder shipyard in Germany. She was delivered in late 2009 and conducted her maiden voyage in February 2010.

She has a somewhat unconventional exterior which isn’t all-white like most superyachts but features a light grey lower half. She has a helipad on the top deck, although it can only support smaller aircraft.

The bow, which is usually where a helipad would be placed on a large yacht, is instead a spacious sun deck with storage facilities for smaller tenders and water toys such as jet skis. The aft of the vessel has several decks with comfortable seating areas.

The RADIANT yacht was sold to the owner for an estimated price of US $300 million. She generates an additional US $20 to $30 million in annual running costs.

A sister to Al Raya, Radiant was commissioned by the Russian media tycoon Boris Berezovsky, who wanted a rival to Pelorus, owned by his arch enemy Roman Abramovich. However, he subsequently sold her to Abdulla al-Futtaim, a billionaire car dealer from the United Arab Emirates, before she was completed. As well as the standard features for a yacht of this size - helipad, gymnasium, cinema, spa - she has one of the highest security specifications ever conceived. Berezovsky ordered a personal “escape launch” – a speedboat with turbo-charged twin diesel engines capable of exceeding 75 knots. She is also equipped with an arsenal of sonic guns that fire low-frequency sound waves that can burst the eardrums of approaching assailants, and a military water cannon capable of sinking an approaching boat at more than 100 yards.

The history of the Radiant

The Radiant was originally built as a commissioned vessel ordered by Boris Berezovsky, who is a Russian media magnate. His intention was to have a superyacht built that would outshine the yacht owned by his enemy Roman Abramovich, who was the owner of the Pelorus. This gives us the back story that inspired the specifications of the luxury yacht that was intended to be one of the most glorious yachts to float the seas. The construction code name for the yacht was Darius with the first name to replace the code name as Radiant. The naval architect and builder of the ship is the German shipbuilder Lurssen, and she was launched in 2009 under the Cayman Islands flag . The Radiant was sold by Berezovsky to its current owner, Abdulla Al Futtaim. He hails from the United Arab Emirates and made billions of dollars in the car dealership industry.

Specifications of the Radiant

The Radiant was built with an aluminum superstructure and a strong steel hull. The total length is 360 feet and 10 inches which qualifies it as a superyacht. the beam is 53 ft and 5 inches and the draft is 14 ft 9 inches. The deck material is teak wood. The exterior of the Radiant was designed by Tim Heywood with the intention of making the beam large to provide for an ultra spacious luxury interior. The 110 metre yacht, project named Darius, was launched in April 2009 out of Lurssen Shipyard’s new floating dock located in Bremen Germany. She was delivered to her owner in 2010.

Her interior is styled by design house Glen Pushelburg and she was delivered to her owner in February 2010. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Tim Heywood Design and she was last refitted in 2023.

Mega Yachts and a Peek at Three of the Most Extravagant

Mega yachts may be the high-class queens of the seven seas, but there is fierce competition among wealthy mega yacht owners about just how much extravagant luxury they can cram onboard their super-vessels.

Here we take a look at three of the most expensive mega yachts sailing the seas today with decks dripping with the most expensive and extravagant amenities on the water.

1. Mega Yacht The Dubai

With an estimated price of around $350 million, the Dubai mega yacht has gone under three different name changes since its launch: Platinum, Panhandle and Golden Star. Originally constructed for  Brunei Prince Jefri Bolkiah, the Dubai is now under the ownership of Sheik Mohammed Rashid Al Maktoum of the United Arab Emirates.

Spread over seven decks, the Dubai has a spectacular circular glass staircase, but each step changes colour as you glide elegantly down them. This is just one of the unexpected extravagant touches contained on board.

Other luxury touches include huge plush red sofas, a home theatre, a helicopter station that can hold a model weighing up to 9.5 tons, and a swimming pool that is tiled out with hand-made mosaics fashioned into a work of art that resembles Persian Gulf sea life.

The decorative elements onboard use a mix of tile materials including gold leaf, marble, onyx, lazuli, and malachite, creating beautiful artwork wherever you look.

2. Super Yacht The Pelorus

The Pelorus is a popular mega yacht that has changed hands many times over the years and included Roman Abramovich and David Geffen as owners that made major upgrades along the way. In fact, it was Roman Abramovich that added a second helipad because he needed room for more than one helicopter. 

With an estimated price of around $300 million, current owner Samuel Tak Lee is said to be able to captain the boat literally via a joystick!

Styled to feel like an informal beach house, the interior was designed by Terence Disdale and uses a mix of distressed natural wood panelling that was purposely distressed for the mega yacht. With two swimming pools on the top deck and the sea-level transom opening onto a platform for launching a selection of water toys, this mega yacht really does have a beach house feel to it.

Not only does the Pelorus have its own movie theatre, but it is also the only mega yacht (so far) to include beds in the cinema for the ultimate comfort in late-night movie viewing.

3. Luxury Yacht Radiant

With an estimated value of around $300 Million, this mega yacht is now in the hands of Emirati businessman Abdulla Al Futtaim. Originally named Darius, this 361-foot superyacht was renamed Radiant because of the way it radiates light when it’s lit up at night.

Designer Tim Heywood installed a huge central beam on board to enable the interior to be left wide open. With decks made of teak, a helipad, fully equipped gymnasium, beach club, massage rooms, swimming pools and a swimming platform, the Radiant mega yacht has everything guests need to keep themselves healthy and looking great.

Scared of pirates? No need to be when on board the Radiant! The mega yacht sports an extremely powerful water canon to defend the ship against attacks. The vessel even has an ‘escape launch’ turbo-charged twin diesel speed boat that can let you escape the boat at 75 knots.

Diddy's private jet tracked to caribbean island amid raids in u.s., diddy loveair private jet tracked amid raids down on caribbean island, exclusive 3.6k 3/25/2024 4:22 pm pt.

Diddy 's homes were raided in the U.S. to kick off the week -- but the guy's own private jet is miles away in a completely different nation ... although it's unclear if he's aboard himself.

TMZ has tracked Diddy's personal LoveAir LLC jet -- the well-known black Gulfstream 5 that Diddy has flaunted and flown for years now -- and it looks like the aircraft is currently on the ground in Antigua ... which is down in the Caribbean.

Based on the flight activity, viewed by TMZ, Diddy's jet has been up and down California between Sunday and Monday -- taking off from Sacramento Executive Airport Sunday evening around 5:30 PM PT and landing at Palm Springs Int'l Airport about an hour later.

An hour after that, around 7:30 PM PT, Diddy's jet took off from Palm Springs yet again and landed at Van Nuys Airport, which is in the L.A. area, about 30 minutes later around 8:00 PM PT. Around 9 AM PT Monday, the jet took off from Van Nuys airport and landed at some point in Antigua.

The plane is currently grounded there, although the flight data has yet to update and register him as having officially landed. In any case, it's definitely Diddy's jet ... no question.

The only thing that remains unanswered is whether Diddy is on the plane -- we don't have any evidence he is at this point ... and we also don't know what's happening on the scene.

As we reported ... two of Diddy's homes, in L.A. and MIami, were swarmed by federal law enforcement agencies Monday -- and armed officials stormed the properties, taking some people into custody ... including his sons Justin and King . Unclear if any arrests took place.

The raids are believed to have stemmed from accusations hurled at Diddy in multiple lawsuits -- which have touched on alleged human and sex trafficking, among other claims ... all of which he's vehemently denied.

We've reached out to Diddy's rep and lawyers ... so far, no word back.

What yachting industry insiders have to say about Jeff Bezos' superyacht

• Jeff Bezos' yacht , which reportedly cost $500 million to build, completed its first year at sea.
• The superyacht, Koru, was a frequent topic of conversation at the Palm Beach boat show.
• Here's what industry insiders think about the vessel.

It's been just about a year since Koru, Jeff Bezos ' $500 million megayacht, set sail from the Oceanco shipyard in the Netherlands, capturing the attention of yachting insiders and land dwellers alike.

Even after her first season at sea, the 127-meter ship is still one of the most talked about vessels among those in the know — and not just for the busty figurehead on its prow, which many have wrongly speculated is based on Bezos's fiancée . Koru was a hot topic at the annual Palm Beach International Boat Show, where the yachts of other billionaires were on display for sale or charter.

The overwhelming response from those Business Insider spoke to was awe, with many praising her unique design, commenting on her immense size, or remarking that they'd been lucky enough to see her up close.

"It's absolutely beautiful," said Federico Rossi, the COO of luxury yachtbuilder Rossinavi.

Still, due to the small size of the industry — and the fact that privacy is paramount in the yachting community — even those who complimented Koru mostly did not want to go on record in order to protect professional relationships.

"That thing's amazing," one such superyacht expert told BI. "It's very well done in terms of craftsmanship."

Unlike many other megayachts, Koru, which media billionaire Barry Diller's Eos inspired, is designed as a sailing yacht. That bucks the current trend of more severe-looking explorer boats — though Koru's 75-meter support vessel Abeona is of a more typical style,

"I heard back in 2018 or something that somebody had ordered a classic sailing yacht," the superyacht expert also told BI. "You order 125 meters, that's not really going to be classic. But it is. I think it's pretty cool."

Like most other megayachts, Koru is powered by her engines, which are reportedly innovative in their use of a kinetic energy recovery system. Industry experts, therefore, pointed out that her sails are more for looks than anything else — but that still works in her favor, with many praising her overall aesthetic appeal.

"It's stunning," added a captain who has worked on several megayachts. He said he'd seen Koru in St. Barts, a favorite spot of Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez , over the holidays.

"There are definitely uglier boats out there," one yacht architect said. "It's not like it's shaped like his rocket," he jokily added, referring to the phallic design of Blue Origin's New Shephard .

Some, though, think the yacht is a bit excessive — which is saying something in a world where bigger is better and $250 million is a normal amount to spend.

"That's over the top. That's an insanely ridiculous boat," a longtime broker who favors discretion said. It's a "whole big show."

And the expert who praised the yacht's craftsmanship balanced his admiring comments by saying Koru's liberal use of teak — a wood traditionally used for yacht decks — was "bizarre."

The material has gained a bad reputation in the industry in recent years, as it typically comes from Myanmar, a country with a checkered human rights record. Plus, it takes a long time to grow, leading to deforestation.

Many shipyards have now turned to alternatives, like bamboo or plantation-grown teak, in their pushes toward sustainability. Bezos' team did not respond to BI's question about the origin of the deck's wood.

Teak or not, the yachting industry isn't generally known for being all that environmentally friendly — or indeed lowkey, so many who BI talked to didn't buy into the idea that Koru is "too much."

"If this is genuinely Jeff's dream come true, then great," Anders Kurtén, the CEO of brokerage Fraser Yachts, said. "I'm genuinely happy for him, and I'm happy for the people who got the opportunity to have employment to work on that."

And Bezos, of course, isn't the only billionaire with a stunning yacht . Billionaires like Jerry Jones and Bernard Arnault have also, at times, turned heads with their boats.

Most recently, insiders have tied Mark Zuckerberg to a 118-meter ship named Launchpad . It's the latest superyacht to capture the yachting world's attention.

So, as she sets sail for her debut summer season, Launchpad may take Koru's place as the main yacht on everyone's radar this year.

Producer who accused Sean 'Diddy' Combs adds Cuba Gooding Jr. to sexual assault, harassment lawsuit

A music producer who filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs last month has now accused actor Cuba Gooding Jr. of sexually harassing and assaulting him, an amended federal complaint filed Monday night shows.

The amended civil complaint was filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan hours after federal officials searched Combs’ homes . Combs is a subject of a federal investigation, and several people have been interviewed by federal officials in Manhattan in relation to allegations involving sex trafficking, assault, illegal narcotics and firearms, a source familiar with the matter told NBC News.

Representatives for Combs, 54, did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment Monday.

The producer, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, filed his original lawsuit against Combs and others in February, alleging that Combs forced him to procure sex workers and pressured him to engage in unwelcomed sex acts with them.

The amended suit alleges that Gooding groped Jones while on Combs’ yacht.

An attorney and representatives for Gooding did not immediately respond to requests for comment late Monday.

Gooding “began touching, groping, and fondling Mr. Jones’ legs, his upper inner thighs near his groin, the small of his back near his buttocks, and his shoulders,” Jones’ the suit states.

Jones “was extremely uncomfortable and proceeded to lean away from Mr. Gooding Jr.,” the lawsuit says. “He rejected his advances and Mr. Gooding Jr. did not stop until Mr. Jones forcibly pushed him away.”

Attorneys for Jones said in the lawsuit that the incident happened on a yacht rented by Combs in the U.S. Virgin Islands in January 2023. It accused Gooding of sexual assault and misconduct.

Gooding has not been charged with any crime.

In a different case, Gooding pleaded guilty in 2022 to a misdemeanor charge that he forcibly kissed a worker at a New York nightclub in 2018.

He completed alcohol and behavior modification counseling, was then allowed to withdraw that plea and then pleaded guilty to a lesser harassment violation, resolving the case with no jail time .

On Monday, federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations executed search warrants at properties belonging to Combs in Los Angeles and Miami, sources told NBC News.

There has been no information connecting Gooding to any of the searches, and it is not clear what the searches entailed.

Combs has been accused of misconduct in civil cases filed by four women. One was quickly settled and three are pending . Combs has denied the allegations in those lawsuits.

“Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth,” he said in a December statement.

Jones said in the lawsuit that he worked on Combs’ latest album, “The Love Album: Off the Grid.” The album was released in September 2023 and was nominated for a Grammy.

The suit alleges , in part, that Motown Records, and others, benefited from his work on the album, but that he was not fully compensated.

Monday’s amended complaint filed by attorneys for Jones contains a declaration by former Motown Records CEO Ethiopia Habtemariam who it appears to show her willing to testify about the contract involving “The Love Album.”

A spokesperson for Universal Music Group, which owns Motown Records, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The lawsuit seeks damages, including punitive damages, but does not specify an amount, seeking amounts to be determined at trial.

Cuba Gooding Jr. Added As Defendant In Sexual Assault, Harassment Suit Against Diddy

P roducer Rodney Jones has amended his lawsuit against rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs to include actor Cuba Gooding Jr. , court documents obtained by HuffPost can confirm.

Hours following federal raids on Combs’ Los Angeles and Miami properties on Monday, Jones amended his claim to list Gooding as a defendant, accusing him of sexual harassment and assault during a January 2023 trip on Combs’ yacht.

In his initial suit filed in February, Jones accused Combs of operating a racketeering enterprise, groping him and forcing him to engage in sexual acts with sex workers, among other claims.

Those first filings also included a section detailing the rapper’s “attempts to pass off” Jones to Gooding during a group trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands last year.

Gooding was not initially listed as a defendant in the suit, however. 

Jones’ filings state that while on the 2023 yacht trip, he came to believe that Mr. Combs “was grooming him to pass him off to his friends.”

According to the suit, the actor “began touching, groping, and fondling Mr. Jones’ legs, his upper inner thighs near his groin, the small of his back near his buttocks, and his shoulders” while alone with the producer in a makeshift studio on the vessel.

The filings state that Jones “was extremely uncomfortable and proceeded to lean away from Mr. Gooding Jr.”

Jones claims he “rejected” Gooding’s “advances” and said the actor “did not stop until Mr. Jones forcibly pushed him away.”

February’s extensive complaint also included photos purported to show Gooding touching Jones during the 2023 trip.

Representatives for Gooding did not immediately return HuffPost’s request for comments.

The complaint also references separate claims made against Gooding, describing the new defendant as someone who “was a relevant actor who has fallen from grace due to several sexual assault lawsuits and a recent guilty plea for sexual assault.”

In 2022, Gooding pleaded guilty to forcibly kissing a woman at a New York nightclub, but was later able to withdraw that plea and agree to a lesser harassment charge after completing alcohol and behavior modification counseling.
