YKK Vislon #10 Separating Zipper Automatic Lock Short Double Pull Metal Slider

YKK No. 10 Vislon Separating Zippers are extremely strong and lightweight and differ from conventional zippers, because the “teeth” are made from Delrin® and the tape is polyester. Is your canvas still new but needs a light touch of repair. We can re-sew broken stitching (we only use the best UV stabilized thread), add patches or reinforcements where needed, replace zippers, replace windows, and fix most things you bring us. If you bring in a repair, we do insist that they are thoroughly cleaned and dried before bringing them in.

We offer a variety of fabrics, including the latest Sunbrella® colors, standard marine Sunbrella®, SeaMark™, and Stamoid® fabrics. The best quality window vinyl in .040, or .060 gauge is available in Strataglass® for the best clarity and scratch resistance. We also offer Makrolon for those wanting hard window options. SolarFix® UV stabilized sewing thread is the only thread we use as it’s guaranteed in writing to outlast your fabric!

Our Approach to Marine Canvas

Who is harbor canvas company, llc.

My name is David and I'm the owner/operator of Harbor Canvas Company, LLC. I'm an avid and lifelong passionate boater professionally trained in custom marine canvas fabrication. My passion for marine canvas work started in 2006 with the restoration  of a 1967 Chris Craft and eventually evolved into the formation of Harbor Canvas Company in 2014. I specialize in, and focus on;

"Custom marine canvas" means the canvas work is specifically designed for the details on your boat. And, just as importantly, for your needs and application. This insures a custom, clean fit, professional appearance and a quality that is rarely, if ever replicated by factory canvas products.

Each canvas project is patterned on your boat and framing to insure the best possible look and fit. I also use a very meticulous method and unique design that's carried across in all  my canvas projects. You'll find similar design elements in all my Bimini Tops and Enclosures. There's even certain distinct elements noticeable in the Dodgers (both Traditional and California). Some of these design elements include concealed external zippers. This not only creates a very nice, clean custom look, but it also protects the zipper from the elements and UV exposure. I also use custom designed forward and aft visors, straight, by curve or flip trace depending on the tops needs. These visors are double material which give a much better look. It also makes the visors much more durable and able to hold a clean form.

All of the framing hardware is marine grade stainless steel. I don't use plastic fittings or aluminum tubing. The frames are custom designed by me and fabricated right in my shop. Again, this is the only way to produce that clean, custom look.

I use only quality, marine grade products including lifelong Solarfix UV thread and  Sunbrella  marine fabrics. The use of marine grade, UV resistant products is paramount when it comes to the marine canvas application. Some factory or off the shelf products keep their pricing low by offering lesser quality material. While this may save in the initial cost, it inevitability results in a much shorter lifespan, poorer quality cover, poorer fit and more money in the long run.

RENEGADE CANVAS

R enegade Canvas is a small, full-service custom marine canvas fabricator using the finest techniques and the best materials available in the market.  At the helm is Chris Cadman.  He has owned Renegade Canvas, formerly RC’s Marine Upholstery and Audio, since 2006.  Chris is personally involved in every project, from the estimate to patterning, sewing and installation.

Chris has spent his whole life around water and on boats.  His love for boats is what has got him to where he is today.  When it came time to reupholster the cockpit in one of his personal boats, he started taking his old seats apart and said “I can do this.” After spending many years as a career firefighter he decided to venture out on his own and started his own business doing boat canvas and upholstery and hasn’t looked back since.  He bought a sewing machine and taught himself how to sew.   He completed some of his first canvas jobs out of the garage in his home.  Later he purchased a box truck where he set up his machine and traveled to different marinas in the area. 

In 2009, he ran into Carlton Phillips, the owner of Prince William Marina, voted number one dealer in North America 2010 and 2011.  Carlton was in need of a full time canvas shop at his marina, so Chris took the opportunity and has been running his shop out of Prince William Marina since. In 2019, he bought Vara Upholstery to expand the upholstery side of the business and moved it to its current location in the Willow Landing Marina in Stafford. The canvas side of the business is run out of the Prince William Marina location now and the business office and upholstery work is run out of the Willow Landing Marina location.

We use only the highest quality products, and we take a custom pattern of your vessel to ensure a perfect fit on your custom enclosure.

Premium Design, Precision Fabrication

All of our enclosures are custom designed and fabricated. Our expert technicians come to your vessel to take a custom pattern on your boat. This is to ensure that you get the perfect fit you are looking for. If you’re located outside of our coverage area, you can also bring us the boat for both patterning and installation. In order to ensure that our custom boat canvas projects fit the way they are intended to, we always take the pattern ourselves for your specific vessel.

Once the pattern is taken, our experienced fabrication team will start to create your enclosure on the table. We use only the highest quality marine canvas materials in our projects. We offer multiple options for the clear vinyl used in the windows for your front or side curtains. The solid water resistant material used in your enclosure can be either marine grade vinyl or solution dyed acrylic fabric. Both are mildew resistant and work exceptionally well in protecting you and your passengers. They simply provide a different look, and we want you to love the way your enclosure looks. We typically use Sunbrella marine fabrics, but have the ability to order any material available to help bring your dreams to life.

Explosions occurred in Moscow region, several settlements lost power

E xplosions were heard in the town of Lytkarino, Moscow region, tonight, November 23. Several settlements in the Moscow region are without power, according to Baza.

Around 1 a.m., local residents allegedly heard a bright flash from the substation. Afterward, the lights went out in the Lytkarivsky district. A fire reportedly broke out at the site of the explosion.

According to Russian media, power was lost in several settlements in the Moscow region.

It should be noted that Lytkarino is situated 30 kilometers from the Russian capital.

Shots fired in Russia

In 2023, the number of attacks in a number of regions of the Russian Federation by attack drones increased. Also, something often burns and explodes on the territory of Russia. Different regions, including Moscow, are under attack.

At the same time, Ukrainian intelligence has already warned residents of the Russian capital that they should hardly relax, as the number of drone attacks will only increase.
