Offering an abundance of social and dining options, as well as a highly attentive crew, luxury charters aboard motor yacht Marala are set to be truly magical whatever the destination.

Guest Accommodation

Built in 1931, Marala offers guest accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising a master suite located on the main deck, one VIP cabin, two double cabins and two twin cabins. Excellent service is guaranteed, with nineteen crew members on board to look after your every need.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

Keeping comfortable and entertained on Marala is easy thanks to the available amenities such as a deck jacuzzi, perfect to enjoy the scenery with your favourite drink in hand.

Whatever your activities on your charter, you'll find some impressive features are seamlessly integrated to help you such as Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to stay connected at all times, should you wish. You can stay comfortable on board whatever the weather, with air conditioning during your charter.

Performance & Range

Built with a steel hull and steel superstructure, she offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. Marala comfortably cruises at 11 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 13 knots with a range of up to 4,146 nautical miles from her 69,000 litre fuel tanks at 13 knots.

Onboard Marala has a range of toys and accessories to keep you and your guests entertained on the water throughout your stay. Principle among these are two Flyboards for soaring over the water or swimming like a dolphin. Also there are Jobe towable toys offering fun and adventure. In addition there are two waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. If that isn't enough Marala also features wakeboards, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and snorkelling equipment. Marala features three tenders, but leading the pack is a 6.4m/21' Cockwells Duchy Tender to transport you in style.

A Blast from the Past

Constructed by Camper and Nicholsons in 1931, Marala has endured a rich and fascinating history that has seen her withstand the trials of World War II and German U-boats. Her character, layout, and original engines have been well-preserved thanks to her few owners, and although her interior and superstructure have undergone modifications, she remains a Hollywood icon of elegance. Hosting distinguished guests such as Salvador Dali, Frank Sinatra, and international royalty throughout her lifetime, Marala continues to be cherished for her enduring charm and remarkable past.

Marala's interiors have been expertly restored by Muza Lab to showcase her original 1930s Art Deco design. The main salon is adorned with a skylight and working fireplace, while the dining area features wood paneling and period chandeliers, seating up to 12 guests. The result is an exquisite blend of luxury and timeless elegance.

Marala's exterior spaces are just as impressive as her interior. The copper spa Jacuzzi pool and informal banquet seating create a relaxed yet opulent atmosphere. Adding to the unique charm of this vessel is a teak 'treasure chest' that conceals an outdoor cocktail bar, providing the perfect spot for enjoying cocktails while taking in the stunning views.

Transformed by Pendennis Shipyard, Marala takes opulence and exquisite detail to a whole new level. Over two years, the shipyard restored her original riveted construction by Charles E. Nicholson, refurbished her powertrains, replaced her timber, and installed a modern electrical system. The interior was also restored to its original Art-Deco glory by Muza Lab, using archives and original plans to create an authentic vision. The result is a breathtaking blend of nostalgia and modern luxury that pays homage to Marala's heritage.

The 58.83m motor yacht Marala (ex GAVIOTA IV, ZAPALA, EVADNE) was built in 1931 by Camper & Nicholsons in the UK. She was designed inside and out by Charles E. Nicholson with opulent classic styling. Full restoration 2020-2022. Accommodation onboard is provided for up to 13 guests and 18 crew members.

NOTABLE FEATURES: ~ Truly historic yacht used for naval service during the WWII

Her interior design represents very well maintained Art Deco styling, which was originally designed over 80 years ago. Her living spaces are spread across four decks.

The main deck forward includes a formal dining area, while the luxurious alfresco dining area is located aft. Located on aft of the main salon is a study decorated with elegant overstuffed furnishing upholstered in blue fabrics.

MARALA Specifications

The sundeck is used for sunbathing and relaxation, while a dedicated area is used to store tenders.

She is powered by two MAN engines 750hp each, which provide a maximum speed of 12 knots and a range of 3,600 nm.
