(“Dry” was added later when it was discovered the islands had no fresh-water springs). Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.

Galley, is sometimes referred to as the Salon. Salon typically has a dining area with comfortable seating.  Kitchens are located in this area that are fully furnished for all your cooking desires.  In the kitchen, the vessel could have a stove, cook top range, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and sink. Furthermore they will have plenty of storage for cooking essentials.

Vessels have TV’s with DVD players for the entertainment you desire.  This area is well lit, with many windows, for beautiful ocean views.  Yachts are equipped with stereo/CD players for your listening desires.

Bellamaggio (BM) sailing catamaran is 48 feet long and is one of our most popular yachts in Key West to charter.  Located at Stock Island Marina Village, 7005 Shrimp Rd., Key West, FL.  Equipped with four cabins with each cabin having its private bathroom and shower.  Taking up to 12 passengers sailing and up to ten sleeping under a bareboat rental agreement, makes BellaMaggio popular.

Using all natural, ecofriendly, cleaning products ensures your Key West yacht rental is healthy and fun.  Bella also provides its guests with organic linens, bath towels, and all natural toiletries.

Cabins & Under Water Viewing Windows

Equipped with two master estate rooms located in the rear of the vessel and two forward guest suites located in the front of the boat.  The forward cabins have underwater viewing windows.  Cabins are well lit and have windows to open to let the fresh ocean breeze flow through your windows.

Great Room or Galley is large and spacious. Well lit with windows surrounding the entire area giving you 360 degree views of the ocean whenever you desire.  Located in this area is the Kitchen, fully furnished with cook top stove, oven, microwave, two refrigerators and freezers. There is plenty of dining space on this yacht.

The galley can seat up to eight adults as well as the table folds down to sleep two adults after a day of sailing and playing.  Widescreen TV and DVD player and an assortment of movies can be found in the galley.  Featuring CD/Stereo system for your listening enjoyment.

Helm, Deck, and Trampoline

There is room for two with the captain at the helm. Additional seating for up to three adults on the starboard side of the cockpit area as well.  Boasting 48’ of deck space, 26’ wide to lay out, lounge or play.  This makes a perfect place to get close to the waves while sailing. Trampolines are nice for sun bathing, or just fun for jumping.

Two additional seats sit the most forward part of the catamaran.  One on each side at the tip of the bow.  These seats are incredible to get close to dolphins, turtles, and ocean waves.  Great for viewing beautiful coral reefs and fish right underneath you.

Cockpit area is large and spacious with seating up to 12 with an outdoor dining table area.  Most of this area is covered by another part of the boat giving plenty of shade and sun protection.  BBQ grille in the stern of the cockpit makes this yacht a Key West yacht chartering delight.  Listen to your favorite music or socialize with your guests, there is plenty of room for everyone on this boat.

During your charter you will have access to the yacht’s dinghy.  Eleven feet long with a Yamaha outboard makes a great taxi to any beach.  Transporting guests to private islands, makes the dinghy a lot of fun. Dolphin encounters are popular as well on the tender.

In addition to a charter to a destination, guests enjoy staying on BellaMaggio at the beautiful Stock Island Marina Village (SIMV).   During a guests stay on the yacht, guests will have access to the marina’s shower and laundry facilities.  SIMV has a dog park, restaurants, 2 new waterfront swimming pools, and free shuttle service to downtown.  Downtown Key West is located 4 miles from the marina.  Live music is offered most nights at the world-renowned Perry Hotel .  The amenities of the resort make it difficult to leave this island paradise.

Aurora, a Leopard 44 catamaran was “Boat of the Year” when introduced in 2011. Everyone was raving about the sailing speed on the water, easy handling and the revolutionary forward cockpit.   Featuring two cockpits.  One forward and one aft with outside dining area protected by a hard-top bimini. On top of the bimini are, mounted solar panels throughout, making her self-sufficient. The forward dining area is perfect for up to six adults.  The aft dining area is massive with seating up to 12.

Cabins and Layout

Galley-up has ample storage and a huge drawer type fridge and freezer. Large cooler and additional refrigerator make more cooling space for your provisions.  No steps up or down anywhere on the salon level. 3-cabin layout features an owner-dedicated starboard hull with master stateroom, and office area.  Boasting the largest head in the fleet, with separate shower forward, makes Aurora an ideal charter boat, Key West.

Sailing this Leopard catamaran is easy.  Both main and jib sheets lead to stoppers and self-tailing (electric) winches directly adjacent to the helm. There’s room for two on the bench-style helm seat, but you need only one to trim sails! Accommodations for up to nine adults in three berth suites.  Queen bed that converts from the galley seating area makes a great bed for two couples.  She comes with a 10’, 6 HP dinghy to make your island escapes fun and exciting. Located at Stock Island Marina Village with the rest of our fleet.

Argo Navis 

Largest yacht and catamaran in our fleet.  Argo Navis (AN) boasts a length of 75’ and a beam of 36’.  AN is a 75’ luxury catamaran launched in 2016.  Charters on this large catamaran yacht are all inclusive with the exception of certain luxury items. The vessel carries a complete crew compliment to include: Captain, Chef, Stew/Mate. With a beam of 36 feet it would be hard to find a more comfortable ride under way.

Consistent cruising speed of 10 to 12 knots makes the most demanding cruising itinerary possible. The bridge deck is high off the water which minimizes the wave slapping that occurs on many catamarans.

Draft & Sailing Speed

Drawing 3.5, feet, makes it possible for her to go into the shallowest anchorages in Key West.  With the dagger boards dropped, the vessel draws 8 feet and becomes a very able sailing vessel.

Salon and Cabins

To say the saloon is vast would be an understatement. There are two dining areas to provide seating to twelve people very comfortably. Meals are provided by the fully stocked galley. Ahead of the galley is the entertainment center and Navigation Station. Below the main deck are three King Sized State Rooms all with their own ensuite head and showers. All cabins are climate controlled.

Carrying a 15 ft zodiac aboard as a tender for bringing guests ashore, snorkel trips, fishing and, exploring. With a 40hp Yamaha outboard the tender can be used for wake boarding or skiing.

If you prefer a slower pace Argo Navis carries six inflatable stand up paddle boards. Perfect for meandering through mangrove islets. Elevated stance on the board, gets a great view of the fish life below you.

Weddings and Large Parties

Perfect for weddings and cocktail parties. With ample deck space, we can accommodate up to 90 guests. Due to her 36ft. beam stability is phenomenal making for a very comfortable ride. Argo is a very versatile boat, whether you want to just relax or go for a spirited sail.

Sweet Chariot (SC) is a new 46′ Bavaria Vision mono-hull sailboat.  She is sleek and luxurious in every way.  Offering the finest in modern sailing amenities.  SC is the fastest sailboat in our Key West charter fleet.  The perfect sailing boat for up to 6 passengers away from the marina and 8 passengers sleeping at the dock.  Very wide for a sloop, while inside she is bright and spacious complimented by a mass amount of hatched and windows.  Three cabins and two heads, will make this sailboat rental Key West unforgettable.

Cabins and Heads

This sailboat is one of a kind with three estate rooms and two heads.  The master estate room is large, well lit, and luxurious, located forward of the sailing boat.  The master cabin offers a private head or bathroom with a shower.  There are two guest estate rooms on board.  Port aft you have the choice of two single berths or they convert to one king size bed.  Starboard aft you will have a queen size bed for a great nights rest on your sailboat charter Key West.  Prior to getting to the starboard room you will have a walk through head.  This bathroom offers a roomy stand-alone shower.

The Dry Tortugas

Dry Tortugas National Park (DT) is our most popular, private, boat charter destination.  70 miles (113 km) west of Key West lies the remote Dry Tortugas National Park . The 100-square mile park is mostly open water with seven small islands.  Accessible only by boat or seaplane, the park is known the world over as the home of magnificent Fort Jefferson (FJ).  Picturesque blue waters, superlative coral reefs and marine life, and the vast assortment of bird life that frequent the area.

Fort Jefferson

Fort Jefferson, the largest all-masonry fort in the US, built between 1846 and 1875 to protect the nation’s gateway to the Gulf of Mexico. Supply and subsidence problems and the Civil War delayed construction. The fort was never completed. Fears that additional bricks and cannon would cause further settling and place more stress on the structure and the cistern system. Distinguishing features include decorative brickwork and 2,000 arches. Time, weather, and water continue to take their toll, necessitating ongoing stabilization and restoration projects.

DT is typically a minimum of a six night private Key West boat charter, round trip.  Can be done in as little as three nights one way, taking the Yankee Freedom back to Key West.  Charterer or customer would be responsible for paying the captain to return the boat back to its port in Key West. Florida Keys Yacht Charter

Day 1: stock island to little palm island 24 nm.

Leave our charter base and try Little Palm Island. Reservations for dockage and dinner are highly recommend at this private resort. Ashore, watch for the miniature key deer and tropical birds.

Day 2: Looe Key and Marathon 25 NM

Looe is 5 miles south of Little Palm Island. It is one of the most colorful and alive of all the reefs in the Keys. Your destination tonight will be Boot Key Harbor. You’ll have a choice of marinas and anchorages.

Day 3: Long Key Bight 23 NM

Take your time, relax and have a slow start to your day. You might want to take a side trip out to Sombrero Key for snorkeling. If not and after leaving Boot Key Harbor follow Hawk Channel in a northeasterly direction and set a course to Long Key Bight.

Day 4: Indian Key 8 NM

The plan for this day is to take a short sail and then do some exploring on Indian Key, which was the Dade County seat from 1836 to 1840. About 1 mile south of the Indian Key, you’ll find mooring buoys marking the remains of the Spanish sailing galleon “San Pedro” in about 18′ of water.

Day 5: Duck Key 20 NM

Day 6: Bahia Honda Key 23 NM

As you depart Duck Key today you will back track with your destination being the anchorage at Bahia Honda Key. Bahia Honda is a state park and you can dinghy ashore where you’ll find a gift shop, an old broken railway bridge and a small swimming beach on the bay side.

Day 7: Key West 30 NM

It’s time to start heading back for Key West Today. If you make an early start today you might want to make another snorkeling visit to Looe Key.

Key Largo, Florida

A Key West yacht charter to Key Largo is a little bit more of an aggressive charter to do in a week.  This would mean less stops and more sailing, however will be well worth the charter.    A yacht charterer could take a few of the stops listed previous along the way with the final destination, John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park .  Once there snorkel the famous John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the first underwater state park encompassing 70 nautical miles.

Snorkeling Christ of the Abyss is probably the most famous underwater attraction in Key Largo, Florida. It is also known as Christ of the Deep. We have everything from pontoons and deck boats with space to lounge to center console fishing boats, all available from our marina in Key West. Our rental boats range in size and space, based on your rental needs. You can rent a small, personal 2 person boat up to a 12 person pontoon. Our boats are perfect for trips to the sandbar, fishing, snorkeling & more.

Boats are available for rent for half day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours) rentals. Half-day boat rentals must be scheduled at 9 am and returned by 1, or 1 pm and returned by 5 pm. Please note, renters must be 25+ to drive.

The boat rental folks at Sunset Watersports were extremely helpful and fun! The crew had winning personalities that made the trip extremely enjoyable and the staff at our boat rental day went out of their way to be helpful during shuttle service and getting us set up with fun GPS coordinates for our pontoon boat rental day. Absolutely incredible boat rental. The crew were fantastic. Christie and Bridget did a wonderful job at Cow Key Marina. If you want a great boat rental in the Key West area, this is the place to go! We rented a pontoon boat and they directed us to a beautiful sandbar for the best day ever!!

We did a full day rental if the 22 foot center console fishing boat. Service was great before and after rental. I selected the incorrect boat when booking online and called in to change the order. They were very accommodating. Staff was very helpful with pointing out spots to check out and when going over the boat. Built in cooler and swim ladder. Overall a great experience!

Sunset Watersports boat rental crew made it easy to rent. The shop had fishing pole rentals, snorkeling rentals and bait. Helped us download the navionics app on our smartphones and prepared us for what the waterways were like. Great guys!

My wife and I were in Key West to celebrate her birthday. The staff were very helpful. They advised us the 21' center console fishing boat would be a better option due to the weather conditions which was a good choice, as it had been renovated recently and had better equipment. The staff prepared us for our outing, we took their advice and had a great day. We cruised around the entire island. Encountered a group of dolphins who joined us for about 30 minutes, playing in our wake and leaping out of the water. It was fantastic! Went to the sandbar and enjoyed relaxing in the ocean. Big thumbs ups from us!

Snipes point sandbar boat rentals:.

Located east of the mangrove isles of Mud Keys, its easily one of the favorite local sandbar hangouts. This sandbar gets even more popular on weekends, where you can find tons of locals from the middle to lower Florida Keys. Snipes Point water is crystal clear and shallow.

Jewfish Basin Sandbar Boat Rentals:

Located just 7 miles north of Key West you will find a series of beautiful sandbars tucked away in between the Harbor Keys & Mud Keys. These sandbars are perfect inlets for boat rentals & very close to our marina dock at Cow Key Marina.

Mud Keys Sandbar Boat Rentals:

The only reason this location is number 3 on the list is due to the difficulty navigating. The Mud Keys are a series of mangrove islands and shallow water way passages. This location is much less popular, not because of it’s beauty but due to it’s true seclusion. We highly recommend asking our company for a guide to help navigate these tough passages.

Boca Grande Sandbar Boat Rentals:

Boca Grande is another amazing sandbar located in just off of Key West. Boca Grande is about 15 miles west of Key West and is a 180 acre uninhabited island located in the Mule Keys. This sandbar is great for exploring & socializing among other visitors. This sandbar is outside of the range of our standard boat rental but you can hire a guide with one of our boat rentals to explore this incredible island.

Boca Chica Sandbar Boat Rentals:

The closest and most accessible of Key West’s sandbars is located just off the island of Boca Chica. This sandbar is about a mile from the marina and is frequented by jetski tours, boat rentals and charters alike. This shallow water haven is ideal for your first stop no matter if you are going snorkeling, sandbar hopping or even fishing.

Captain Charter

Sit back and relax on your own private yacht while a professional takes the helm to show you the best of the Florida Keys. We offer multi-night yacht charter vacations. All of our Captain Charters have a minimum of 5 days/4nights which is the ideal amount of time to experience one of our Florida Keys sailing itineraries . Captain Selection

Captains, cooks & mates, life aboard, family friendly & kids aboard.

We are required under USCG regulations that define bareboat charter to allow you to choose your own captain. We will not assign one for you. We can provide more information of those captains who are familiar with our operations, the waters of the Florida Keys and our vessels. Should you already have a captain we require they complete our captain’s application for approval.

Captains, Cooks & Mates, Oh My!

Unless you are on a sailing course, when you interview potential captains to hire for your charter, they will ask you about prior boating experience and your ability in assisting with things like, picking up moorings balls, anchoring, dock lines and ability to manage the vessel in an emergency situation . If no one aboard would qualify to fulfill the role of 1st mate they will require you also hire a mate. Some mates can act as cook for an additional rate while others are only able to act as a mate. Adding a cook means they take care of all the meal planning, provisioning, cooking and clean up, a splendid addition to your experience. If you are unfamiliar with provisioning and cooking aboard a vessel this is a highly recommended choice.

Captains generally charge $450-500 a day, first mates $250 & Cooks $275.00, plus their food & beverages. For Cooks, they charge a full day for planning & provisioning time before your charter start. A 15 – 20% gratuity is industry standard for services well rendered.

Life Aboard a Captain Charter in the Florida Keys

Life aboard a yacht in the Florida Keys can take you to some beautiful anchorages, snorkel sights and secluded beaches. Your yacht will have all the comforts of a boutique hotel. The galley has just about everything your kitchen at home has so cooking aboard will be seamless. Refrigeration aboard vessels is much smaller than at home, and monohulls have very tiny freezer space. While all our vessels are equipped with Generators and ACs for comfort at anchor, while underway you will not be able to run the Generator, therefore you will not have AC until you reach a mooring ball or anchorage for the night. Most guests open the hatches while underway for a nice tropical breeze. As a result of Covid, we have taken the decision to not supply masks & snorkels for safety reasons over sanitation. We do sell good qualify snorkel/masks set and rent fins. We have local companies that can rent paddleboards & kayaks.

Families & Kids Aboard your Captain Charter

Key West & the Florida Keys is a great family friendly boating destination. The captains in this area know all the best places for spotting dolphins, snorkeling and a relaxing night at anchor. For safety reasons there are few things to note about having kids aboard when considering a captain charter with children:

• Bring along or plan to buy children’s life jackets. They are weight specific up to a certain age and we don’t offer them. Children are required to wear a life vest at all times while on deck, if your children have never worn a life jacket we recommend purchasing ahead of time and practice wearing, otherwise they will be stuck below deck with an adult.
• Our captains are professional and great with kids but it is important that a parent, guardian or designated adult keep an eye on them at all times. Your captain and mate will be very busy attending to navigation, sailing, and everyone’s overall safety and should not be relied upon to be watching children should you be absent. There are many things for kids to bump their heads on, interesting buttons to push and lines to grab. An interesting tip we recently read to ensure authority has been passed from one parent/guardian to the next is to use the phrase “Your Jane and John” and make sure the other adult responds “My Jane and John;” inserting your kids names into this phrase of course. This way you know that they know you are no longer watching the kids. If you are a pilot you may be familiar with this tip, as it was modified by parents who were former pilots for around the water safety at home.
• It may also be a good idea to talk with your kids (depending on the age) about power, water and toilet management. You will potentially be away from the dock for several days at a time. All our vessels are equipped with Generators and AC’s but these items are additional amenities and should there be a mechanical failure you may not have access to additional power and AC until it can be repaired. Depending on your itinerary you may also be without WiFi or cell phone access from time to time.

Great experience! The perfect trip for a relaxing beach day in Key West! Nothing else beats it.

Beach Weekend was absolutely AWESOME, they provided us with everything we needed for a day boat trip to the sandbar. A speaker, lily pad, cooler, and very friendly service. Plenty of parking available and if anything gets forgotten the store on property is extremely convenient.

Good afternoon Cayman, I am sorry you were not happy with your customer service at Beach Weekend. The staff from the previous marina were kind enough to join Beach Weekend Marina and to make it a seamless transition for our existing customers. It is helpful to know about every guest experience. Unfriendly to boaters even though we bought drinks and ice. They appear to cater only to fishermen.

This is a very nice marina. A good place to keep a boat in dry storage. You have easy access to the gulf or the ocean from here.

As good as it gets in KW. The crew there is always polite and helpful. I have been in there just about every week this summer working on my first boat, and they've been very helpful with trouble shooting and had everything I've needed in stock. They've also got bait, although I like to catch my own, charters, boat rentals, etc. The gas is ethanol free too, as it should be in your boat. I definitely recommend the place.

Thanks to Florida’s year-round warm weather and wide range of alternative accommodations that include tree houses, houseboats, and tiny homes, the state is a dream destination for glamping. In fact, glamping has become so popular that the state has added glampsites to 10 state parks, including three tents at Manatee Springs State Park, one of the best places in Florida for manatee sightings. But beyond the state park offerings, which tend to be a tad less glamorous, the state is home to a selection of private glamping resorts.

Here are 7 of the top places to go glamping in Florida.

Coldwater Gardens, Milton

Coldwater Gardens is an eco-resort north of Pensacola with 385 acres of gardens, orchards, and wetlands set along a creek. Each piece of planted flora is selected to support local and migratory butterflies, so it's truly a nature lover's paradise. Fruits and vegetables are grown on-site, and there’s a bee apiary and chicken coop.

For lodging, Coldwater has it all, from luxe climate-controlled cabins, cabanas, and tiny houses to stilted, above-ground canopy cottages and a modern tree house. An above-ground stargazer platform for tent campers rounds out the offerings. 

Live Oak Landing, Freeport

Live Oak Landing is the ultimate Gulf Coast getaway. It’s set on a creek, just a short drive from a renowned string of Emerald Coast beaches. There’s an outdoor pool, a playground, and boat rentals for visitors who want to get out on the water. While technically an RV resort, Live Oak Landing has over 30 glamping cottages, most of which are set right on the water. Each cottage is fully furnished with a kitchen (or kitchenette in the smaller units), linens, and an outdoor fire ring. The one-bedroom cottages also have a private bathroom plus a washer and dryer.

Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo, River Ranch

At first glance, the Westgate River Ranch looks like something you’d find in Wyoming, but this proud Florida dude ranch promises a “not-so-touristy adventure experience” with safari tents set beneath an oak tree canopy, cottages and cabins, and a lineup of covered wagons. 

The popular glamping property is set on one of the few untouched pieces of Florida wilderness. It boasts endless outdoor fun — including a ropes course, a zip line, and a rock climbing wall. A mechanical bull, horseback riding, and a petting farm bring a taste of the West — complemented by a weekly rodeo with bull riding, calf roping, and barrel racing in a 1,200-seat arena.

Island Oaks RV Resort, Glen St. Mary

It’s all about the water at Island Oaks RV Resort in Glen St. Mary. There are plenty of lakes, ponds, and pools for cooling off, as well as mini golf, sports courts, and a fitness center. As its name suggests, there are many RV sites at this resort, but glampers will want to turn their attention to the tiny house rentals, which are clean and modern with covered terraces, outdoor picnic tables, and fire rings.

It’s worth noting that Island Oaks was one of the top trending private campgrounds in a 2023 report by Campspot , a booking engine for glampsites.

The Crystalmarine Houseboat Suite, Key West

Spend a night out at sea in what is arguably the most romantic suite in all of Florida. This houseboat is anchored around five minutes from shore, providing complete privacy. Pretend, even just for a night, that you live aboard a yacht that’s anchored in the Caribbean. The folks at Blue Ocean Yacht Charters rent their boats out overnight, so you can “camp” on the water. The views — both of the night sky above and the surrounding sea — are impossible to replicate on land. 

Treehouse Cabin Retreat, Old Town

This tiny property has just two offerings — a tree house and a cabin — yet it is a favorite on the Hipcamp booking site with a 98 percent approval rating from past guests. The property is located a few minutes from the Suwannee River with freshwater springs that are perfect for swimming and paddling. The property boasts an outdoor shower, a campfire ring, and a hammock that’s positioned for stargazing.
