Recently hauled out and painted, new zinc's on bottom. Remodeled inside cabin and bathroom is all new. You will have to see to believe all the electronics you'll have right in your hands. You have great visibility from the Helm Station and Camera System. Galley has a residential-size stove and refrigerator. Three staterooms and one head. The owner has enjoyed almost ten years and said he has done very well with it but is hoping to retire in the next couple of years. As for now, he will continue to enjoy fishing it until it is sold. The boat is listed as being a project, however it has great potential. As seen in the photos there is some minor surface rust, however the seller states the hull is structurally sound. The outdrives look to be in good operational condition and show no damage. The cabin is cluttered but shows no excessive wear and tear. The helm looks neat and functional. The bridge will need the arch installed and the deck could use new paint. The forward head needs cosmetic work. The interior needs some light cleaning and cosmetic repairs. Has Great Potential!!! ***Please see the detailed video*** This Lotus Trawler 52 is a great shallow water boat. Is has been used most of its life in freshwater on the Great Lakes. The boat drafts 3'6" making it ideal for cruising where most boats its size cannot reach. The rugged all steel hull has a centerline keel for stability and to protect the outdrives from grounding. The stern of the hull flattens out providing an extra stabile platform. The boat is currently on the hard but was just motored down the waterway 50 miles to its current boatyard a few weeks ago. The boat has twin 2018 Volvo Penta D4 diesel engines matched with Volvo Penta Duo-prop outdrives. The engine room is located beneath the steps in the stern. With the 18-foot beam, there is plenty of room inside. A covered overhang from the massive upper deck surrounds the cabin, providing protection from rain and shade. A large auxiliary tank is mounted on the bow for extra fuel storage. The spacious cabin has plenty of windows and a sliding glass door to the aft, for easy entry. The helm is well laid out. The captain has twin Volvo Penta engine control LCD screens, a VHF, and a large Garmin 12" MFD overhead with radar. The boat has autopilot and electric steering. There are two cabins and two heads below. For convenience, there is an onboard washer/dryer. Three solar panels have been installed, and two new panels are still in boxes. The Kubota 11 kW generator provides plenty of power for all your electrical needs.

This custom-built shrimp trawler is ready to go out now. Vessel was built of all welded steel construction by J & J Marine, Inc at Bayou LaBatre, Alabama during 1996. The boat is a typical twin-screw refrigerated double rigged trawler. The wheelhouse contains many navigation and other equipment. On top the wheel house or in the rigging are radar scanners, many lights, and antennas. The cabin is located forward of the wheelhouse. Located aft of cabin is the galley and dinning area. located aft from those areas is a 4-man bunkroom with built in locker and bunk drawers. Be sure to check out the trawling gear included as well. There have been very few newly constructed trawlers for the Gulf of Mexico since 2002. This custom-built shrimp trawler is ready to go out now. Reason for selling is retiring.

This one-of-a-kind vessel was originally a high-seas commercial trawler launched in 1973. She was purchased by the current owner as an empty hull with integrated fuel tanks but without deck, superstructure or machinery. Starting with an excellent hull as a blank slate, the current owner undertook a very thorough, 100% keel-up refit, which was substantially completed in 2010 with additional hull and system enhancements made continuously through 2022. Accommodations are extensive and she is presently fully equipped for a party of 8 with room for expanded berthing. -Owner's Stateroom abaft wheelhouse with bath ensuite -Fully equipped ship's office -2 single and 2 double cabins with direct deck access and 2 shared head/showers on main deck -All upper accommodations, wheelhouse, office and salon/galley are air-conditioned via a Carrier multi-split inverter system new 2018 -2 large workshops below decks with mig/tig/stick welders, plasma cutter, lathe/milling machine, hydraulic press etc. -Dining area for 8 -2 entertainment centres in master stateroom and salon with: smart TVs, DVD/VCR/ BluRay She currently has 50,000 liters of fuel on board with additional fuel capacity that will give her an 18,000 nautical mile range. She is constructed of Naval grade steel with 12.5 mm garboards, 25 mm keel, otherwise 10 mm naval grade steel (A131) with new 6 mm alloy superstructure. She has a new deck of 6MM naval steel laid in 2004. All new machinery, electrics/electronics, plumbing, anchors/chain, windlass, bulbous bow and furnishings followed soon thereafter. About Trawler Yachts

Trawlers Characteristics: Trawlers are generally defined as motor yachts that boast fuel efficiency, rugged lines, sea worthy hull designs for long-distance cruising, and interior layouts that are beneficial for liveaboard yacht owners.

Trawler Construction & Hull Design: Beginning in the 1970's, most trawlers are fiberglass-construction. However, many large trawlers, and expedition yachts over 75', are built with steel and aluminum hulls and superstructures. Classic trawlers and motor yachts were typically built out of wood. With a caring owner, many of these trawlers are still in use today.

Trawlers with full-displacement hulls are for yachtsmen that place a high value on distance, comfort, and safety over speed. Trawlers typically have deeper drafts (with a skeg or keel deeper than the propellers so that the running gear and propellers aren't damaged if the hull touches the bottom).

Trawlers are usually designed with a round chine, or hull configuration with a curve near the waterline instead of a hard chine typically found on semi-displacement motor yachts. This hull design has been proven over many centuries to be the most efficient at lower speeds. Of course, this hull design also allows a higher volume of interior space, which benefits long-range cruising as well. Many trawlers and expedition yachts utilize stabilizers to minimize rolling at sea.

Bulbous bows can also be found on larger displacement trawlers. Large commercial vessels use this protruding underwater stem to break the water in front of the vessel and thus reduce the friction of movement, which results in a more efficient hull design. Yachts may use them for the same effect as well as for possible attributes in reducing pitch, or fore and aft motion. The most popular Trawlers built with bulbous bow options are Selene Trawlers , and Nordhavn Yachts (both full-displacement trawler builders as well).

Trawler Power Options: Trawlers are usually powered with single engines to achieve better efficiency for longer-distance cruising. However, many trawlers are fitted with a second engine, or a get-home generator that will assist owners if the single engine were to fail.

Ocean-Cruising on a Trawler: Many trawler owners are enticed to the idea of owning a large trawler or expedition yacht so they have the ability to cross oceans and explore the far reaches of the globe. Trawler owners that desire to explore extreme parts of the world, like Antartcia, and the North Atlantic, will want a long-range yacht with special reinforcements, especially around the bow waterline area. Ice breaking hulls will offer another layer of protection for boats traveling in oceans with icebergs, and other frozen debris which of course can be harmful to even the world's largest megayachts and cruise ships.
