First Family Camping

It is our first time to camp as a family. I have an 8-yo daughter and she has been nagging me to camp. We don't have camping equipment. So I needed a camp that will suit first timers like us. TLYC is the perfect place for this. You can rent a tent for P400 complete with mattress, pillows and blanket. They let us borrow a grill placed near our tent for our BBQ. You pay for the charcoal (P50). They also have limited food you can order. Highlight of our trip is their Volcano Tour. They recommended the secret trail and we went down the crater via horseback riding. We also tried kayaking and swimming in the lake. Their comfort room is clean (but because it is shared CR, you cannot control other campers, one used the sink to clean their dishes, it clogged the sink). Good thing that the management clean it every once in a while. Some young campers are a bit noisy past 10pm. So we were able to sleep late and early morning, 6am, some early visitors came and were a bit loud (probably because they were excited to see the nice view of the lake at sunrise). Anyway, we had a nice stay, still. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

Thanks for the feedback about someone washing dishes in the bathroom. There is a dish washup area in the parking area. We should put a sign in the bathroom telling people that. Weve been operating for 20 years and this is the first time ive heard of something like this. Hopefully, putting up a sign will ensure that never happens again.

This was a great experience. TLYC is the only authorised operator who can take you directly to the volcano crater. It was a little hard on the back going down hill on the horse but totally worth. The staff was a little cold but I would strongly recommend it for the advantage of access to the volcanic crater lake.

This place has became my best place to keep myself away from hustle and bustle of the city. We went there when weekday, so there weren't many people there. It was only us in that heavenly place. The air is so fresh, the layout, the picture of the nature, everything. The place actually very comfortable for woman (bcs I am pregnant), they have clean Rest room, very clean and the employee really take a good care of the facilities. The safety of this place is really guaranteed because we were only one at that place that night and no one come to making noise or make us threatened. The owner is actually a friendly person with the visitor. We will go back here every month. 😁 really satisfying place.

Jason was our tour guide from Taal Lake Yacht Club. He took us across the lake by boat and then guided us up the volcano by foot. He was very knowledgable about the volcanos within Lake Taal making our experience even more enjoyable! Definitely a great memory from our trip to the Philippines!

My Fiance and I went to Talisay to visit Taal Volcano. Taal Yacht Club was recommended to us by our friend and we were not disappointed. We had a quick breakfast before heading out, and it was a relatively quick trip to the volcano. We had paid for the tour at the yacht club so we didn't need to pay for anything else at the site itself, but if you wanted to buy some souvenirs, there will be plenty of people trying to push a sale of their products at the site. The Club provided us with a tour guide and his name is "Arjay" he was quite informative about the area and helped us a lot, kept us informed of the local happenings and that we are not required to keep buying the products the locals are trying to sell us like framed pictures that they took of us. We had hired 2 Horses, my Fiance's Horse was much smaller than mine but that's ok as i am 6'2 feet/188cm tall so they had to get one of the bigger horses for me. Our guide was on foot as apparently horses for them are not provided, it would have been handy tho if he was as he was lagging behind us as he was walking on foot. I had a little problem with the stirrups for my horse as my feet was too wide for the opening so it wasn't really settled in there, i was on my tippie toes, so that they wouldn't come off. Had a great time at the lip of the Volcano and had lots of pictures taken. Had a great view of Tagaytay also and was told some local stories by Arjay our guide. there are 3 small stall up the lip of the volcano where you can buy some souvenirs and drinks if you didn't bring any. On the way back on the boat I highly recommend bringing extra clothes as there is a chance you can get wet like we did as the lake is deceptively wavy. We were not soaked to the bone but we were properly drenched as there were a couple of waves that our boat man was not able to dodge. While we were resting at the Yacht Club and drying off our closed the Manager kept us company and told us the history of the Yacht club and when it was built. Over all a good trip for both of us and recommended for everyone else.

I despise creating review accounts despite traveling extensively. I made this account purely to review the Taal Lake Yacht Club and our wonderful guide. Our guide RJ took us out around 3pm. We didn't have much time before it got dark, but RJ being in excellent shape was willing to take a very brisk pace up the volcano with me while my wife and father stayed towards the bottom and rested. He was quite fluent in English and a joy to talk to and hike with. He absolutely made the visit to Taal and Tagaytay as a whole a memorable experience for me and it's such a rare treat for me to hike with someone so fast. I cannot recommend them enough and they are worth every peso. Thank you for the tour RJ and best of luck to you in the future.

The Taal Lake Yacht Club, A Great Weekend Trip

Taal Volcano is one of the famous volcanoes in the Philippines. It is located in Tagaytay City, Cavite. The Taal Volcano may be an active volcano, but in spite of it being active, tourism is really progressing. Just minutes away from Tagaytay Ridge, you will find the Taal Lake Yacht Club. Here you will have a totally different Taal adventure.

The Taal Lake Yacht Club has been dubbed as the sailing Mecca of the Philippines. The Taal Lake Yacht Club staff think of themselves as a club by sailors for sailors. The club allows entrance to non-members too. Membership is more focused on sports than money. Bringing your own food for camping and picnic is allowed. Boat charters are available and sailing lessons to non-members are also offered.

Environmental awareness and family togetherness are promoted in Taal Lake Yacht Club. The club is also concerned about preserving Taal Lake's ecological balance. School groups and scout troops are welcome in the Taal Lake Yacht Club aside from regular day-trippers and foreign tourists.

The Taal Lake Yacht Club offers environment-friendly water sports. For sailing, they have a yacht-racing schedule, which is the basis for most of their sailing activities. Programs like "learn to sail" and "sail training" are also offered.

Hobie Racing uses Hobie 16s as the main racing class. More than two dozen boats (either privately owned or owned by the Taal Lake Yacht Club) are available for rentals.   Twice a year, the Taal Lake Yacht Club windsurfing fleet holds regattas. They have other boats like small keelboats and sunfishes. Rowing and Kayaking are also offered. If you have no previous experience in kayaking, that won't be a problem. The Club's kayaks are easy to use and guaranteed to be unsinkable and unbreakable. Sculls training is also available for beginners.

The Taal Lake Yacht Club also offers trips to Taal Volcano where you get to climb up to the crater! Three different treks are offered: the Tourist Trail and two other Secret Trails. Whatever trail you choose the experience will be unforgettable. A beautiful panoramic view of the Taal Volcano and Taal Lake before your eyes is a welcome treat.

The Taal Lake Yacht Club is about one and a half-hour away from Manila and 20 minutes away from Tagaytay.

If you're into a lot of fun water activities or just curious and want to learn, come visit the Taal Lake Yacht Club in Tagaytay, Philippines. It is a weekend trip that will delight family and friends.
