We can’t say enough good things about Captain Doug and his boat! We booked 4 hours - which made for a perfect day on the water! We explored the waters and islands! Then stopped for a yummy waterfront lunch at a local restaurant. Yum! Captain Doug was so knowledgeable about the area’s history and made it so fun for our little one as well! It really felt like such a private special experience for my family and in-laws! We will be booking every year when we come back for family vacation!

We had the best time with captain Doug, he went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and he called us the day before to answer any questions we had & gave us great parking directions. Not to mention he found our missing phone in the ocean and we got to see soooo many dolphins. We will definitely be contacting him next time we’re in town!

From beginning to end, this was a stellar experience. Brandon did a phenomenal job with the booking answering any questions we had and made the launch and ease. Was super helpful and explaining the features and additions of his boat and provided a phenomenal Fourth of July. Highly recommend Brandon and his vessel. Super clean, well-maintained and a great economical Fuel wise boat. Had a fantastic day.

Captain Josh and his partner Dawson were amazing at what they did, and they were very friendly. We went out with them on a Saturday on their 6 hour trip and we had so much fun we went out with them again on the following Tuesday on the 11 hour trip. Both experiences are ones we will never forget!!

Great 4 hour trip with Captain Brandon and crew member Ricky. Brandon moved the boat several times to make sure we kept catching fish. They were very attentive to ensure they kept bait on our hooks and removed the fish as fast as we could catch them. There were 20 people Caught about 35 fish during our 2 hour fishing and had 5 we could keep. Sea bass and pig fish. Great time for the monet. I would do it again

Hubby took the 11 hr fishing trip and came back with a cooler full of fish. He had a great time, said the boat crew were friendly & helpful. He can't wait to go again on our next trip to the Myrtle Beach area.

First time we had a private charter. Great time and Josh and Johnny were very informative and helpful. We definitely had enough for supper and then some.

I highly recommend Little River Fishing Fleet for anyone looking for a great affordable fishing experience. We went on a 4 hour shark fishing charter and as you can see by the picture, it did not disappoint. Captain Brandon did a great job placing us on the fish. Additionally, deck hand Ricky was as great of a deck hand as you could expect. We never had to wait for more than a few seconds before he was there to help. I will definitely be booking another charter with them next time I’m at Myrtle Beach.

Josh and Rex killed it all day, they even came around and helped the kids catch fish when they weren’t pulling fish off the hooks and baiting everyone’s hooks

We had an amazing trip, we booked the 6 hour morning trip and had a blast. Ricky and Brandon did everything in there power to ensure a safe and fun trip Ricky was always there to assist, and when brandy was not steering the boat he was also there to help, a couple of great guys that have a true passion and love for what they do. If you guys are reading this, thank you again.

My friend and I went on the half day specialty fishing tour with Captain Lee and Alex, we had a blast! I had never fished before and it had been a few years for my friend, and they both made us feel safe and comfortable. Captain Lee and Alex were there to assist putting bait on the hook and cheering us on when we caught any fish. Couldn’t have been a better charter, we recommend for ALL!! Tip the crew they deserve it!

Was very pleased with this company, but especially our captain and mate Brandon and Ricky. These two went way above and beyond helping out party. We had a elderly disabled person with us and these guys helped and made things happen to ensure that our physically disabled person was safe and able to participate. My daughter asked about seeing dolphins and sharks. Well we fished hit tons of mackerel fallowed a shrimp boat and saw dolphins swimming, then came the best yet (see photo). I can’t brag on these guys more.

We had captain Lee and first mate Dalton. We did a half day tour on 9/20/22. Those guys were awesome. Put us on a good slew of fish. Great guys easy going easy to get along with and very dedicated to making sure we had a good time and caught fish. 10/10 can’t thank y’all enough we will be back for a longer charter with Lee and Dalton. Thanks y’all !

Went on a 11 hour gulf stream fishing trip today on the Southern Tide. Capt. Lee and mate Dawson were awesome. He put us on the fish all day. They were attentive to everyone. The laughs were flowing. If I get the chace I will definitely come back and go fishing with ya'll again. Guys get some new batteries in those scales. Ya'll are really good. Couldn't of landed the grouper withou your help

Great experience!!! The crew were very laid back and easy to talk to. Josh and Dave were constantly giving tips and moving to new spots, to enhance the experience! We caught a lot of fish. They filleted them right there on the dock! ( The pelicans loved them for it!) Great experience; would go there again!!!!

My daughter and I went out with Josh and Dawson on the 6 hour trip Saturday and loved it so much that we booked an 11 hour trip and went out again on Tuesday. They are fantastic!!

We had an awesome fishing experience with Captain Robert and first mate David. Both made our experience first rate. Everyone had a great time from grandma and grandpa all the way to the kids. We will definitely sail with them again.

We had an awesome experience! It was my kids’ first deep sea fishing experience and the staff made it an exceptional experience for them! Ask for Captain Brandon and Dawson if you can!

Went out on Tuesday with Captain Lee and First Mate Henry who are awesome!! Both of them were very personable and helped with lines, bait and finding the best fishing spots. There were only 8 people fishing for the 9-1 pm trip and our lines were always baited and they took off the small fish to throw back. We had several Black Sea bass keepers and had the most wonderful day on the water. On the way back in, the dolphins were cresting the water and Captain Lee circled the boat around them so we could watch and enjoy 🐬 highly recommended!

I just got back from the best fishing trip I've ever had. Brandon and Ricky Made the entire experience awesome. I've never seen anyone work as hard as Ricky did and both of these gentlemen wanted nothing more than to make our day a great success. They were just as excited when someone caught a fish as the angler. Their passion for the sport and customer service shines through. Thank you gentlemen and thank you Little River

Me and my girlfriends family went out today for our first ever ocean fishing experience and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out even with a boat FULL of people they were attentive helpful and very kind making sure every last one of us was having a good time and trying to make sure we all caught fish Corey even cut our blood minnows in half to increase our chances to hook one !!!all of them were absolutely amazing we WILL BE BACK 10/10 experience !!!

Captain put us spot on the fish. We got a fish or two at the time of dropping the line. We all caught our limits and then had to throw back. Loved my trip ❤️.

Great trip. Lots of catches. Crew was very helpful. Several people got sea sick, so definitely pre medicate yourself. We had a great time, would definitely recommend!

We had a great fishing trip and would totally go again. The water was choppy when we first set out, so mostly everyone was soaked by the waves but no one seemed to mind too much. It was much calmer going back in the evening. The boat took us somewhere 18-20 miles off shore.

Great all day trip with a great crew! I was part of a 10 person group of friends and lucked out having the boat to ourselves. The Captain kept us on the fish and the mate kept everyone baited and helped greatly during the entire 11 hours.

We would definitely recommend Little River to anyone. We took a half day charter for our youngest sons birthday, our crew was Capt. Alex and Micheal on the blue runner. They where hands down a great team and made his birthday one he will remember for sure, on top of all the knowledge they had they also maintained a very clean work and safe environment. They made it a priority to be hands on and helpful for all of us, our only regret was not booking the entire day. This was an awesome experience! I'd never been deep sea fishing before and it was so fun. I love being outside, being on the water, enjoying nature, and having fun! The Little River Fishing Fleet did not disappoint. The boat was clean, provided us with plenty of bait and most importantly, Captain Brandon put us on the fish! Me and my boyfriend had a blast today on our 3/4 day with captain Josh and First mate Dawson. With taking two different charters out on our trip this one was by far the best Josh and Dawson were amazing to us and everyone else on board constantly helping everyone with unhooking fish and baiting. We will for be booking another trip with these gentlemen again hopefully in the near future. Not two mention we saw dolphins so we got a two for one deal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do i need a fishing license.

You are covered under our fishing license. Also, we’ll provide the rod, reel, tackle, and bait. You provide the smiles and sense of adventure.

What am I going to catch?

On the shorter trips, you’ll catch a lot of fish, but due to federal regulations, you’ll have to throw a lot of them back. The further out the trip goes, the more fish you are able to catch, keep, and bring back to the dock with you. Our experienced Captains will always do their best to put you on the fish. Call us in the office to find out what’s currently being caught.

Where does the boat depart?

We have two different departure points. The Little River waterfront and the Calabash waterfront. Both are close to the inlet and allow for maximum fishing time. We’ll give you exact directions when you book your trip, or you can call us for more specifics at 843-361-3323

Is this family friendly?

Yes! We love to take kids fishing, however we don’t recommend that children 4 and under venture out onto the high seas for personal safety reasons. With a mate to help bait hooks and remove fish, this is the perfect chance to take those above 4 out for a day on the water.

We had a great time with Captain Ben and first mate Jon. The boys really loved seeing bird island and swimming. I would definitely recommend this charter company!

Ben and Jon were great!  Very knowledgeable about the area. This is a great, inexpressive way to explore  a different side of north myrtle, I highly recommend them. 

So much fun! We had a fantastic experience and didn't have to drive. Captain Ben knew the area very well and took us to great locations for shopping and restaurants. We even saw dolphins.

Rent a 22’ pontoon boat today and have up to 9 passengers out on the water for a 4 hour half day or an 8 hour full day. Our pontoon boats are equipped with radio, iPod connectivity, life jackets as well as all required safety equipment. Bring your fishing gear or just relax and enjoy the ride. While on the water, you can take a 2 hour ride down south to the beautiful and popular Sandy Island and enjoy the day on a secluded beach. This is a great way to spend some time on the water with a large group of friends and family! All gas is included, so no refueling cost!

Bring your own boat when you visit us that you may keep in our parking lot (up to 25 ft.) or rent a pontoon or sport boat for a half day, full day, or a few days through a local company that our staff recommends. For those who wish to explore the area by boat we recommend several different boat cruises within minutes of our property. Through our fractional ownership, you can also enjoy exclusive membership through Freedom Boat Club, which grants you unlimited access and usage of an entire fleet of fishing boats and cruisers in local locations. In addition to boat parking, we have a fish cleaning room, walk in refrigerator and gas/charcoal grill to prepare and enjoy your catch of the day.

Us and three other couples booked this hotel off of the internet without knowing anything about it. What a home run!! This hotel was perfect for us. The rooms are spacious, the pool was perfect and Aaron at the front desk was fabulous. We arrived on a Saturday night after a 15 hour drive from CT and within an hour we all agreed that we wanted to stay another night rather than go on to Myrtle Beach. Aaron was able to book us an extra night and remain in our rooms so we didn't have to move to another room. He gave us suggestions, was pleasant and made our stay perfect. We swam every night and sat up in the widow's walk with cocktails at night just enjoying the view and the breeze. Good location, not too far from Marsh Walk and close to other towns for shopping and site seeing. Great choice for all of us. I hope to have an occasion to go down that way again because this hotel was certainly worth the trip! Thanks Aaron for everything! :)

We were in Murrell's Inlet for a business conference and stayed at the Lodge upon a recommendation. We were very impressed with the entire facility and friendly staff. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a mini kitchen and full size refrigerator. A continental breakfast was served every morning. Even though we were not there to hunt or fish we noted they had storage facilities available for your gear and an area available to clean your fish and store in a walk in freezer. The Bliss Restaurant and Lounge located right next door served excellent local seafood. We shall be staying here once again when we return in November.r.”

This is a hidden jewel in Murrell's Inlet. We have traveled throughout the U.S. and this is one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in. The mahogany engraved doors are just the beginning of a great suite. I would have loved this room as a studio apartment when I lived in Chicago. The staff was also amazing. Aaron and Randy were incredibly professional and courteous! Made us feel like family. I will definitely stay here again when I return. Plus it is so near so many bars and restaurants.

This hotel was selected by the bride and groom for all of their family and friends to stay. A fantastic selection! Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, great service, nice complimentary breakfast. The location is perfectly set on the main drag in Murrells Inlet, you can walk and/or drive to many restaurants, bars, gift shops, etc. We really enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I love this place! This is our place to stay now when we are in the area visiting family. Friendly staff and love the studio rooms with full kitchen, couch and dining table for 2. Luxurious showers and well done bathrooms. The rates are great for a boutique hotel experience. For the ladies, there is a Day Spa around the corner. Great place for fisherman and outdoor gear lockers for your gear. Free continental breakfast and the coffee is very good!

All our pontoons are tritoons (tritoon is a pontoon that has three pontoons instead of two which makes for a better more stable & safer ride)

So if you don’t have much boating experience or just don’t want the stress of operating the boat. Captains can be hired to operate the boat for you. Info below* 

You can even bring your dog

• Boats have 115 or 150 hp 4-Stroke Yamaha engines.  All boats equipped with hydraulic steering, canopy for shade, map of the area, anchors, life jackets + all the other U.S. Coast Guard safety requirements.  Boaters license not required, but is recommended. We will provide instruction how to operate the boat.
• Boats do have stereos with bluetooth but its recommended to bring a bluetooth speaker.
• Boats hold up to 11 people, 12 if a few are kids. (13 people is NOT permitted). Max weight: 2,100
• Gas is paid upon return, gas can range anywhere from $20-$80 for a half day rental for a 115 hp boat depending on how much and how hard you run the boat.  Can be $100 or more for a full day rental.  The gas is higher on the 150 hp boat.
• Towing of tubes is not permitted. Towing of anything is not permitted.
• Must have at least one 30 year old adult on the boat at all times to rent the boat.
• Take your North Myrtle Beach adventure into your own hands with a Tritoon boat rental! You set the course for your half-day or full-day excursion on the waters off of North Myrtle Beach & Little River
• Our boats are kept in excellent condition and we make sure you’re comfortable with the boat and all equipment before you set sail.
• If fishing, a fishing license is required.  Licenses can be obtained at Wal-mart or online at www.dnr.sc.gov
• We highly recommend obtaining fishing gear, license, bait etc.. the day before your rental instead of last minute so you’re not late.
• Kids 12 & under do not need a fishing license.
• * Captains can be hired to operate the boat for an additional fee.  $150 for a half day, $300 for a full day.  You cannot book a boat with a Cap’t online. This has to be booked over the phone in order for us to insure a Cap’t is available on the particular day & time of your rental.  The Cap’t are paid separately by the renter.
• Boats have to stay on the main channels of the Intracoastal Waterway, NO SMALL SIDE CREEKS.  Boats CANNOT go into the ocean.  Pontoons are not made/designed to go in the ocean.  It is not safe.
