Monaco Wolf - 2014

Built to impress, designed for living

Monaco Wolf is the fourth yacht in our award-winning 50 metre aluminium series. Less power is needed to achieve a given speed and less power, means less fuel. Monaco Wolf attains a top speed of 23 knots and has a transoceanic range of 3,100 Nm. It is a combination that no other yacht of this size and quality can match.

First impressions

The 70 square metre sun deck has been designed as a massive open-plan space to be custom furnished to the owner’s exact requirements. A large jacuzzi is almost entirely surrounded by full-beam sunpads and such is the flexibility of the Heesen build programme that there is still time for a gymnasium to be built as an extra feature.

Step aboard

Monaco Wolf can accommodate up to twelve guests in six staterooms. The master suite is traditionally located on the main deck. Both bedroom and bathroom are full-beam with windows running along their entire length. The other guest suites are found on the lower deck and include a full-beam VIP, two double and two twin suites. Lastly and perhaps most importantly, the use of plate glass screens in the exterior railings means that as well as satisfying all the usual safety regulations, Monaco Wolf also offers safe passage for any canine companions.

Monaco Wolf is a custom motor yacht launched in 2014 by Heesen Yachts, in the Netherlands.

From day one, Heesen has pursued a consistent mission: to create yachts with exceptional standards of engineering and meticulous attention to detail.

Monaco Wolf measures 49.80 metres in length, with a max draft of 2.50 feet and a beam of 9.00 feet. She has a gross tonnage of 499 tonnes.

Monaco Wolf has an aluminium hull with an aluminium superstructure.

'Crossing borders and Synergy' is the operative logo of Omega Architects. The company was founded by Frank Laupman in 1995. Ever since then he has worked on architecture, yachts and interiors. He was able to ‘cross the borders’ of his own background and finish designs in areas of different nature.

Her interior design is by Francesco Paszkowski.

Monaco Wolf also features naval architecture by Heesen Yachts and Van Oossanen Naval Architects.

The 49.8m/163'5" motor yacht 'Como' (ex. Monaco Wolf) was built by Heesen in the Netherlands at their Oss shipyard. Her interior is styled by Italian designer design house Francesco Paszkowski Design and she was delivered to her owner in May 2014. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Omega Architects and she was last refitted in 2019.

Guest Accommodation

Como has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M73L) 16-cylinder 3,860hp engines running at 2050rpm, she comfortably cruises at 17 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 23 knots with a range of up to 2,000 nautical miles from her 68,800 litre fuel tanks at 16 knots. Como features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 16,200 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Yachting Service, ✠AMS classification society rules, and is MCA LY2 Compliant.

Heesen delivers a 50m super yacht Monaco Wolf in a record breaking 4 months!

Powered by the latest 16V 4000 M73L MTU superyacht engines, the MONACO WOLF’s well-engineered all-aluminium, semi-displacement hull, produces excellent cruising and maximum speed, while maintaining very low levels of noise and vibrations.  The superyachts' unique superstructure was designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects while the modern and very elegant interior was the work of the well known Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski. Founded by Frans Heesen in 1978 in Oss, the Netherlands, Heesen Yachts was the first Dutch shipyard to employ aluminium alloy for the building of yacht hulls. Since then the yard has become a world leader in the design, engineering and construction of high performance, all-aluminium motor yachts and is increasingly beknown for delivering pedigree yachts at reduced delivery times.  In 1992 Heesen Yachts expanded their business to include the construction of traditional displacement, long-range steel-hulled yachts, and today the company can also deliver magnificent private yachts within the 37 to 70 metres size range, and beyond. The current fleet which is to be found across all world oceans, includes aluminium, steel, displacement, semi-displacement and the new revolutionary fast displacement. Additional twelve yachts are currently under construction and their deliveries span through to 2017.

Superyacht Monaco Wolf delivered by Heesen

Dutch yacht builder Heesen Yachts has delivered 49.8m superyacht Monaco Wolf .

Heesen launched Monaco Wolf , previously known as hull YN 16650, in March 2014. The yacht was delivered earlier this month after sea trials in the North Sea. Monaco Wolf was sea trialed in moderate weather conditions with a wind force 3/4 in one metre high waves, reports owner's representative Howard Lowe from Royale Oceanic. Monaco Wolf exceeded her contractual maximum speed of 23 knots by 0.4 knots, powered by the latest MTU 16V 4000 M73L engines. The all-aluminium semi-displacement yacht also recorded low noise and vibration levels.

Frank Laupman of Omega Architects is responsible for Monaco Wolf 's distinctive exterior lines – her superstructure gives the sense of movement even when at rest. She shares the same naval architecture as previous 50m series Heesen's including Heesen's very zen superyacht Satori (renamed Septimus ) and Ventura . Her elegant interior design comes from Francesco Paszkowski.

'From contract signing in early February, to delivery on June 2, in just four short months experienced owner will be enjoying his new yacht! says Rupert Nelson, sales director for Burgess in Monaco, who introduced the owner to the yard. 'This is a fitting testimony to Heesen shipyard's continued commitment to providing pedigree yachts with reduced delivery times that the current market seems addicted to.'

Monaco Wolf is now delivered to her owner with plans to be extensively used this summer in the Mediterranean.

Burgess Yachts has been named central agent for sale of the 163-foot Heesen Monaco Wolf , a 2014 launch with an asking price of about $32.5 million.

Monaco Wolf is a 2014 launch built in aluminum as a sistership to Satori. Burgess worked with the original owner on the build, which was the second of four Heesens that Burgess has now sold in this size range.

Frank Laupman of Omega Architects handled exterior design. Monaco Wolf has a 755-square-foot sundeck, a foredeck lounging area for privacy in port, and upper- and main-deck dining.

Interior décor is by Francesco Paszkowski, who used teak, limestone and leather in the contemporary ambience. Six staterooms accommodate 12 guests. Both the main-deck master and the belowdecks VIP are full beam.

Power plants: Twin 3,650-horsepower MTU diesels generate a top speed of 23 knots. Range at 12 knots is 3,400 nautical miles.

Monaco Wolf ‘s exterior lines are designed by Frank Laupman of Dutch design studio Omega Architects. The interior comes from Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski.

Owner’s Representative Howard Lowe from Royale Oceanic commented:

“During the first day of sea trials, we had the chance to test the vessel in moderate weather conditions with wind force 3 / 4 and waves around 1 meter. We met all requirements and the yacht performed well. M/Y Monaco Wolf is now ready to be extensively used and enjoyed during the summer season in the Med.”
