What is more is that catastrophic oil spills only account for five percent of the total water pollution, the rest of the major chunk is avowed against engine emissions, oil leaks, and refueling from waterborne vessels. The Batteries on Sunreef’s Electric Catamarans

Sunreef Yachts Eco’s electric catamarans are equipped with custom engineered marine battery banks that offer prolonged battery life and more power despite compact size and optimized weight. With a density below 5.2kgs per kWh, these lithium-ion battery packs are recognized as 30 percent lighter than standard battery systems used worldwide. The reduced weight of the battery accounts for lesser drag, which translates to reduced energy being consumed by propulsion.

Additionally, the battery size is also smaller, leaving more room in the hulls to expand on living space. The ability to charge the batteries of this electric catamaran in harbors across the world, regardless of the voltage, adds a unique level of versatility and convenience for cruising.

It is important to note that Sunreef Yachts Eco equips each model within its range with custom marine lithium battery banks, scaling between 400 to 700V with pack sizes extending up to 1MW. Their capacity allows for nearly two days of air conditioning and house appliances use. These are fast charging, long-lasting batteries with a lifespan of up to 10 years; but even after years of service, 80 percent of the original capacity is maintained.

The Utilization of Renewable Energy on Yachts

Energy regeneration onboard an electric catamaran allows them to have an unlimited range without relying on external fuel sources, making them fully self-sustaining. Installing a clean green energy production to the catamaran’s existing battery pack makes it far easier to run the essential electric components onboard.

Renewable energy produces no GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions despite powering the world’s growing fleet of electric catamarans. To protect the oceans, here are the three major renewable energy types that can be harnessed onboard an electric catamaran:

1.  Solar Power 

The utilization of solar energy on electric catamarans has proven to be a significant step in decreasing the consumption of environmentally damaging fossil fuels such as gasoline. Sunreef Yachts Eco has successfully produced its in-house engineered, patent pending technology, solar panels that can be fully integrated into the composite bodywork of the electric catamaran. The energy produced is stored in lithium-ion batteries.

These are the industry’s lightest solar panels, that can be mounted on the superstructure, hull, or mast, for maximum power generation. In general, multihulls offer a more stable platform for accommodating a large solar array in comparison to monohulls.

2.  Marine Wind Turbines

Marine wind turbines (also known as wind generators or wind chargers) are mounted atop catamarans to maximize the conversion of kinetic energy of air in motion to electricity. This in turn keeps the battery banks charged in the absence of solar power; hence playing a vital role in the energy mix of electric catamarans.

It is generally a stable source of power throughout the day, regardless of whether the vessel is docked or under navigation. That being the case, the more wind pressure the catamaran encounters, the more power the turbines produce. Overall, wind turbines significantly reduce operational costs by minimizing fuel consumption.

3.  Hydro Generation 

Hydro generation allows you to create power whilst sailing in an electric catamaran. Simply put, harvesting the momentum of waves converts kinetic energy into electrical energy, which can later be fed into batteries to supply electricity to the ship.

Sunreef Yachts Eco redesigned their sailing catamarans to draw power from the energy of waves rather than fossil fuels. Because regeneration can even come from the free spinning of propellers when the boat is under sail, it proves to be a viable method for procuring clean, green energy. Additionally, it has proven to be highly efficient on electric catamarans produced by the shipyard as the electric power can be recovered from two engines.

Sunreef 120 Power

Description

120 Power is a pleasure catamaran manufactured by Sunreef since 2019. It has a fiberglass hull, which is 36.6 meters long, 14.4 meters wide, and has a draft of 2 meters. The vessel is equipped with sixteen berths and eight berths for passengers. International CE (A) certification allows you to go out to the high seas.

The cockpit of the model is equipped with a closed cockpit, equipped with a hard roof with a flybridge, equipped with two corner sofas with tables, a captain's station with an electronic control panel, and a bar counter with several seats. Inside the cockpit there is a soft sofa for several people, a dining table, soft armchairs, as well as entrances to the Sunreef 120 Power cabins. The outer part of the cockpit is equipped with two tables with compact chairs and a sofa that converts into a sunbed.

On the bow of the ship there are two corner sofas with compact tables, and on the roof there are spacious sun loungers. You can enter them through the passages located along the sides of the catamaran. Water access platforms are installed at the stern, one of which is equipped with a removable ladder for access to the water, as well as a towing attachment.

The model's passenger cabins have double beds, spacious walk-in closets, boxes for personal belongings and compact tables. The adjacent areas have private bathrooms with showers, as well as galleys equipped with sinks, refrigerators, ovens, electronic ovens, and food / crockery drawers. You definitely can’t say that at Sunreef Yachts they don’t believe in motor catamarans. They released many projects, like the Power 80 , Power 115 , up to the 45-meter trimaran Power 150 . Now it’s time for another big boy: Sunreef 120 Power . With her reversed bow, extra-wide hull and generous glazing, the 120 Sunreef Power is a custom craft designed for contemporary yacht owners looking for strength and originality.

So much space everywhere

With a growing interest for multihull concepts in the superyacht segment, the shipyard’s in-house design team has elaborated a large yet dynamic catamaran model. Inspired by the supercar industry, the lines of the Sunreef 120 Power feature numerous chrome elements and LED accents.

The 120 Power offers free customization in terms of décor and space arrangement. The first layout proposition includes accommodation for 8 guests and 8 crew . On main deck level, three sliding doors open the saloon onto the sides and the aft dining space to create a vast open-air lounge. The large, modular sofas are the central point of the social area equipped with a 110″ TV, interactive screens and premium sound system.

The dining table for 10 is placed closer to the galley to ease service. Further towards the bow, the master suite makes use of the yacht’s immense 14.4m beam , offering a walk-in dressing room, a large master bathroom and direct access to a private terrace. Starboard off the main deck, guests have a quiet retreat in the three en-suite cabins .

The main crew area is located in the portside hull, featuring accommodation for 7 and a mess. From there, a staircase leads directly to the yacht’s galley, while the captain’s quarters and helm station are both placed on flybridge level to offer the best visibility.

Towering over the main deck, the flybridge is the Sunreef 120 Power’s main alfresco area featuring a bar, spa-pool, free-standing furniture and plenty of room for massage beds and gym gear. Sunreef Yachts is proud to introduce its latest superyacht concept, the 120 Sunreef Power, represented by striking, aerodynamic exterior lines and vast living areas on board.

120 Sunreef Power Catamaran Yacht

She has a modern, reversed bow as well as increased hull width, combined with huge glazed areas providing her with original and unique looks as well as modern, bright and flowing interior and exterior areas.

Sunreef 120 Power Catamaran’s lines were inspired by the supercar industry resulting in an elegant and sporty vessel with a number of chrome elements and LED accents.

She is very much customisable when it comes to her decor and space arrangement. The first layout includes accommodation for up to eight guests and eight crew. 120 Sunreef Yacht, a catamaran inspired by a superyacht

As Francis Lapp president of Sunreef Yachts told us at the Cannes Yachting Festival press conference, the Polish shipyard wishes to develop the motor catamaran. It is therefore only natural that the luxury catamaran specialist has just unveiled a new project, the 120 Sunreef Power.

Sunreef Yachts had the idea to develop this new concept after observing the growing interest of multihulls in the field of superyachts. The 120 Sunreef Power is inspired by the design of luxury cars and has sporty, yet angular lines. It is a pure "powercat" and therefore there is no sail version planned.

Its design features include an inverted bow, widened hulls and a fully glazed superstructure. The interior, on the other hand, is custom, with a personalized layout for up to 12 guests.

as an example, for 8 guests and 8 crew members, there is a large salon on the main deck, with three sliding doors on the sides and one in the cockpit to create a large semi-open space. All the latest electronic equipment is included such as interactive screens, a 110" TV and a high-end audio system.

In this same space, there is a dining area near the kitchen, while the front of the deck houses the large owner's suite, 14.4 meters wide. It has a dressing room, a beautiful bathroom and direct access to the private terrace.

The hulls are reserved for guest and crew accommodation. The port hull offers 3 cabins, while the starboard hull is for the crew with sleeping for 7 people and a kitchen/dining area. The captain's cabin, as well as the helm station, is located on the flybridge for maximum visibility.

Finally, the flybridge is the relaxation area on board with a spa, a bar and modular furniture. You can therefore choose to install sports equipment for example.

Finally, the bathing platforms, extension of the skirts, have ladders to access the sea, while the central garage has enough space to carry the tender, a jet-ski and many water toys.

As for all Sunreef catamarans, we will have to wait for the signature of an order to see the construction of the multihull start, and for the moment, we can take advantage of 3D photos to get an idea of this new project.

Sunreef Yachts’ 120ft (36.6m) multihull, 120 Sunreef Power has been created for cruising in pure relaxation.

With its aerodynamic design, increased hull width, reversed bow, generous glazing, chrome elements and LED lights, this muscular custom superyacht concept offers plenty of space and stability.

Owners can customise its décor and layout, which as a first proposition includes accommodation for 8 guests and 8 crew. On the main deck, three sliding doors lead to the saloon onto the sides and to the aft dining space, creating a large open-air, open-plan lounge. Adjacent to the galley, the dining table seats 10 guests, who can easily move to the lounge after meals and settle on the large modular sofas to watch a movie on the 110″ TV, enjoy the interactive screens or simply sit back and listen to music through the state of the art sound system.

120 Sunreef Power’s huge 14.4m beam allows for plenty of space in the master suite, which boasts a walk-in dressing room, vast master bathroom and direct access to a private terrace.  Three en-suite guest cabins are positioned starboard off the main deck, for maximum privacy.

The New 120 Sunreef Power Redefines Catamaran Cruising

For nearly two decades, Sunreef has been the spearhead of the catamaran world by first designing cruising sailboats which further progressed towards luxury yachts and then broke into the power segment. The company’s new 120 Sunreef Power stands clearly in the superyacht world, and makes use of some of the most modern design ideas in the field.

The main advantage of the 120 catamaran is the massive 47 foot beam and the volume between its separate hulls, allowing for a lot more space for other features, such as the large main saloon of the 120 Sunreef Power. The modular sofas, the dining table for 10 by the galley and the open aft area connected with the cockpit are some of the features of that unusually large main saloon.

What’s more, the rear sliding doors could be opened wide, transforming the entire main deck into a an open floor party stage.

The flybridge is spacious and benefits of open sides, with a bar, a pool and spa and mobile furniture pieces that leave enough room for customization, transforming the flybridge into a large dining room or a full dance floor. The foredeck features an open private area with seats and sun lounges, not to mention superb views all around.

The 120 Sunreef Power is available in different layouts, offering accommodation for eight crew and eight guests total. There’s also a large garage for the tender, the Jet Ski and some other fun water toys.

The 120 Sunreef Power: A Catamaran To Fuel The Superyachts’ Envy

Sunreef has been making its name known in the world of catamarans for nearly two decades. What started as simple cruising sailboats evolved into luxurious sail yachts and then those quickly began to dabble in the power sector. The new 120 Sunreef Power is purely that – powerful. With its roomy design and contemporary sculpting, its a catamaran spacious enough to make a superyacht jealous.

The outer side passages, aside from overhangs, are open-air to allow natural light to shine into the interior while serving as the protected link between the foredeck and open transom.

The theme of the flybridge is “alfresco.” There’s a ceiling for protection but otherwise, the bar, spa-pool, and furniture that can be rearranged to turn the area into a dance floor or large dining room are open to the breezy ocean air. The foredeck also offers an open private area, with seating, sun loungers, and wonderful views of the ocean.

The 120 offers accommodation for eight guests and eight crew. The crew quarters are in the port hull, providing a division from the guests, who are located on the starboard side of the yacht. The owner’s suite is located on the main deck to offer exceptional privacy. Because you can’t forget the toys, the 120 Sunreef Power is equipped with a large garage to house the tender, Jet Ski, and a selection of other water toys.

Sunreef Yachts proudly unveils the shipyard’s latest superyacht concept – the 120 Sunreef Power. A daring, aerodynamic design stretching living spaces to the extreme and opening new possibilities for worldwide cruising in ultimate luxury. With her reversed bow, increased hull width and generous glazing, the 120 Sunreef Power is a custom craft designed for bold contemporary yacht owners valuing strength and originality.

With a growing interest for multihull concepts in the superyacht segment, the shipyard’s in-house design team has elaborated a monumental, yet dynamic catamaran model. Inspired by the supercar industry, the lines of the 120 Sunreef Power are both elegant and sporty with numerous chrome elements and LED accents.

The 120 Sunreef Power offers full freedom in terms of décor and space arrangement. The first layout proposition includes accommodation for 8 guests and 8 crew. On main deck level, three sliding doors open the saloon onto the sides and the aft dining space to create a vast open-air lounge. The oversized modular sofas are the central point of the social area equipped with a 110″ TV, interactive screens and premium sound system. The dining table for 10 is conveniently placed closer to the galley to ease service. Further towards the bow, the master suite makes the best possible use of the yacht’s immense 14.4m beam, offering a walk-in dressing room, vast master bathroom and direct access to a private terrace. Starboard off the main deck, guests find a peaceful retreat in the three luxuriously appointed en-suite cabins.

The main crew area is located in the portside hull, featuring comfortable accommodation for 7 along with a spacious mess. From there, a staircase leads directly to the yacht’s galley. With an efficient layout and clever storage solutions, the space is designed to facilitate workflow and deliver high-end restaurant service. The captain’s quarters and helm station are both placed on flybridge level to offer the best visibility.

Towering over the main deck, the flybridge is the yacht’s main alfresco lounging and dining area featuring a bar, spa-pool, free-standing furniture and plenty of room for massage beds and gym gear. To the aft, two transformer platforms serve both as passerelles and swim ladders. The yacht’s ample garage holds the tender, jet-ski and wide selection of water toys. Forget superyachts. Sunreef ’s “super cat” is ready to prowl the high seas.

After announcing the new 100 Sunreef Power back in May, the Polish shipyard unveiled images of the very first model on Wednesday. Measuring 96 feet from tip to tail, hull number one is the largest super cat of the fleet and has the finish of a traditional superyacht, according to Sunreef.

“Sunreef Yachts is the only shipyard in the world to inject superyacht quality into multihull architecture,” founder and president Francis Lapp said in a statement .

The multihull has been customized to reflect her new owner’s appreciation for classic design. Built in composite, the cat’s sleek hull has been finished in dark gray and rose gold.

With a beam of roughly 44 feet, the vessel offers a generous interior with suitably lavish décor. Think natural oak veneer with rose quartz and brass accents. At the heart of the main deck is a relaxation area with a large lounge, drop-down 55-inch TV and bespoke drinks bar. To the bow, the yacht’s galley features an array of high-end appliances as well as a cold room below deck. Elsewhere on the main deck, the well-equipped gym offers views out over the ocean while you work out.

The cat can accommodate 10 seafarers across five sizable staterooms that each come complete with an ensuite. There are also three cabins for the crew. The stand-out master suite, which is located in the port hull, sports a plush king-size bed, built-in wardrobes and armchairs from which you can soak in the views. Through glass walls, you can catch a glimpse of the luxe master bathroom featuring classic black and white tiles.

Not to be outdone, the exterior areas sport an array of amenities. The flybridge is fitted with a bar, a large dining table and a custom-built spa pool flanked by sun pads. This space can also double as an outdoor cinema and is equipped with a retractable projector, screen and high-tech audio system. The full-beam cockpit, meanwhile, has yet another dining area, along with a daybed and wet bar. From here, you can also access the day head.

To top it off, the vessel is equipped with a garage that can hold two three-seater jet skis and plenty of water toys, along with a refueling station to keep the toys running. There is also a large hydraulic platform aft that doubles as a beach club when lowered for seaside entertaining.

The super cat doesn’t want for power, either. It’s equipped with twin 280 hp engines that Sunreef says give a transatlantic range.

“Thanks to projects such as the 100 Sunreef Power, we are also gaining ground on the monohull-dominated superyacht scene, because today, more and more owners realize that catamarans make fantastic luxury yachts,” Lapp adds.

I’ve had a soft spot in my heart for Sunreef Yachts since I first visited the shipyard in Gdansk, Poland where a hard-working entrepreneur named Francis Lapp was building large luxury catamarans. That was way back in 2010. And since his fledgling shipyard was located in the Gdansk Shipyard where Lech Walesa helped found the Solidarity trade union that played a key role in the eventual collapse of the Soviet Union, it was inspiring to see something so new and innovative emerging from such a historic place. Little did I know that he was just getting started!

Since then, Sunreef Yachts have continued to push the innovation envelope when it comes to the design and construction of fully-customized eco-responsible catamarans and multihull superyachts. Sunreef Yachts’ current range of sailing and power catamarans ranging from 50-feet to 210-feet-long! And Lapp’s company combines electric propulsion, smart energy management, ultramodern solar panels and ethically-sourced finishing materials to provide a yachting experience unlike many other yachts.

I also love how astute Lapp is when it comes to recruiting high-profile owner/ambassadors who include superstars like Rafael Nadal and Formula 1 champions Fernando Alonso and Nico Rosberg. Sunreef Yachts are cool and in high demand for lots of reasons.

In fact, demand has been so high, the always forward-looking Lapp wasted no time in developing a brand-new, state-of-the-art new production facility that just opened in Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE.

I saw it for myself last week during a break from the Dubai Boat Show last week. And I have no doubt the new facility’s modern paint shop, laminating, carpentry, upholstery and stainless-steel work will be world class.

According to Lapp, Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE was the best strategic choice for this new facility due to Ras Al Khaimah’s incentive, industry support, and easy access to key markets and transportation infrastructure.

“We can now further expand in an environment that merges perfect strategic location, skilled workforce and proactive mindset,” says Lapp. “The yachts produced in Ras Al Khaimah will elevate eco-responsible yachting to a new level and showcase industry-first technology. Sunreef Yachts announces sale of new 100 Sunreef Power catamaran

Sunreef Yachts has announced the sale of a new unit in its 28.6-metre 100 Sunreef Power series. According to the Polish shipyard, this recent uptick in orders is indicative of a "growing interest in big multihulls globally".

The model's naval architecture and overall design have been completed in-house. Notable features include "immense al fresco dining areas" and a walkaround beach club.

Accommodation is for eight guests across four cabins, including a master cabin equipped with a king-size bed and a sea view "relaxation area". All guest cabins are en suite.

Designed with panoramic glazing, the main deck saloon is fully customizable and able to be converted into an indoor-outdoor space, thanks to the sliding door that leads to the full-beam aft cockpit. The bow will feature a sunken lounge and sunbathing space, while the flybridge – another important convivial area – will be arranged with a C-shaped sofa, dining table, bar and sunpads.

Equipped with a hydraulic aft platform and a garage for two Jet skis and Water toys, the 100 Sunreef Power's foldout platforms also allow for extra toy and diving gear storage. 

Propulsion will come from two 1300hp engines.

This follows the US debut of Sunreef Yachts' eco-catamaran Sól at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show .
