After a relaxing sail to a  sheltered bay, with ample time at your disposal, indulge in the activities of your choice, fully immersing yourself in the wonders of the Bay. Our experienced crew will then prepare a fresh lunch with homegrown produce. Then, as the day draws to a close, enjoy a pleasurable sail back home, savoring the memories created during your extraordinary private yacht charter.

Vigilant carries two kayaks, as well as snorkelling equipment for you to use and enjoy during our island time.

Lunch is a fresh wrap or salad with veggies straight from our garden, we’re happy to cater to any dietary requirements, just let us know in advance.

Dolphins, penguins, friendly sharks and seabirds are frequently sighted so remember to pack your camera.

Your private charter will depart the Russell wharf at 10am, and return at 330pm, these times are flexible if you prefer earlier or later. Only $1400NZD for up to 10 people onboard, for a magical day in the Bay of Islands. 

If you’d like a larger group on your private day charter, Vigilant can cater for up to 13 people, at an additional $140NZD per person.

A yacht charter in the beautiful, Bay of Islands, can be delightful. The Bay of Islands maritime park is comprised of 144 islands, secluded bays, untouched coastline and natural harbors. The cool waters are abundant with sea life including kingfish, marlin, dolphins and seals. You can even rummage for clams, mussels and shellfish for your evening meal. The Bay of Islands is unique and the only way to enjoy them all is on a yacht charter. Offshore, the islands are stunningly beautiful. Onshore, the pretty towns are steeped in New Zealand history.

Urupukapuka, the largest of the islands, forms a natural barrier protecting the inner islands from ocean swells. On the lee side of the island are several bays offering safe, picturesque anchorages. Other main islands, well worth a look at on your yacht charter, are Moturua and Roberton Islands. They boast sandy golden beaches and sheltered anchorages. The northern islands of Cavali are a haven for divers who come for the opportunity to dive the wreck of New Zealand's, "Rainbow Warrior". The northern islands also tend to become inundated with fish species from the tropics, over summer, becoming a haven for fishing enthusiasts.

Hermes features 12 spacious convertible suites across the main and upper decks. (Ten are doubles and two are singles.) Each suite sports floor-to-ceiling windows, a walk-in closet, a private bathroom, a minibar, and a scenic private balcony with a Jacuzzi. The premium beverage menu is complimentary, so you can sip on something tasty while enjoying the views.

Beyond the suites, Hermes showcases several upscale social areas indoors and out. The compact multihull offers amenities akin to a larger cruise ship, too.
