Established in 2013 and as a company based in The Netherlands, where quality and efficiency are highly valued, we create realistic and above all groundbreaking yacht designs.

Every project starts with a blank canvas and a client's vision . From there on, the design process initiates.

Hand sketching.

Through handsketches we are able to put ideas quickly and understandable on paper. A fundamental part of the design proces. Especially in the initial stages these sketches are an asset to grow ideas into groundbreaking designs.

Once the overal design concept has been laid out, we fixate our ideas into a 3D styling model. Making sure the concept and ideas all fit, subsequently fixating all styling lines and surfaces. We work in Rhinoceros, a standard in the shipbuilding industry. We strive to build our 3D models to absolute perfection and precision - we often consider it our most important 'deliverable'.

Visualization

Nowadays 3D visuals are getting more and more important. Hyper realistic artist impressions are a must for our clients, it will often boost sales and marketing of a project. We team up with one of the best professionals out there in the industry.

Disciplines.

Yacht exteriors have always been our passion. We look for pure & crisp lines in our designs. Lines that not only follow function, but give a design its own character and identity. Surface design is always focussed on how light will reflect upon it, creating highlights and shadows in the right place. Creating sculptures that stand the test of time, always seeking for 'the essence' in our designs.

After gaining experience in yacht exterior design for many years, we found ourselves in the position to extend our services into interior design for the 38-50 foot range production yachts. Especially in this size range it is vital to have a design concept whereby exterior and interior touch and are in absolute harmony. A design that follows the same DNA from out- to inside.

Back in 2014 our very first project was a yacht refit, or also called 're-build'. When refitting a yacht, there are many boundaries to consider. It can comprise technical and production challenges, knowing where you can and where you cannot modify is key. We love the challenge in seeking the best possible design alterations, within the enveloppe of an existing yacht.

About Bernd Weel

Bernd draws on his extensive cross-sector knowledge to push design boundaries that delight clients. Having always had a deep devotion to all aspects of design, from architecture to automotive, he mastered his skills to perfection in Italy, before establishing his own independent design studio in 2013. Bernd has built an impressive portfolio having worked among the most prestigious professionals in the yachting industry and loves to inspire the client through direct involvement in the process, providing authentic hand-drawn sketches, which are then developed into high-quality 3D surface models.

OLIN Yacht Design

Since August 2020, Lars Nobel and Mathieu Almekinders have joined their forces to create a strong team at ‘OLIN Yacht design’. Together they have over 25 years of experience in Yacht and Superyacht design at world’s leading yachting companies.

Over the years, the team has been involved in numerous of well-known (sailing) yachts and superyachts which have been developed in close relationships with their respective owners. Being at the front of the development side of the yachts, means all these yachts have started at their desks from scratch, up to concept level, further developing them towards a realistic end result.

Based in the Netherlands ‘OLIN Yacht Design’ represents a true mix between Dutch high quality standards and innovative, temporary design. At ‘OLIN’ we focus on yacht design, naval architecture and concept development.

Hollander Yacht Design is a small boutique yacht design and visualisation studio based in the heart of the Netherlands. Although HYD is a rather young company, with a combined experience in the industry of over 8 years at world-renowned yacht design companies like Sinot yacht design & architecture and de Voogt/Feadship, your project is in great hands. HYD is led by its co-founders Simon Hollander and Alexandra Nicolaescu, who formed the company in 2019 with the aim to challenge the status quo.

Interior Design

The interiors we design are custom made to fit the lifestyle of even the most demanding of clients. whether it's a main deck lounge or a guest cabin, we ensure that every minute detail of the space is thought out to the highest standards and make sure no space goes to waste by keeping in mind the available gross tonnage of the vessel. during the interior design process we deliver 2d floor plans, moodboards, real material samples and 3d visualisations that all work together to ensure the yacht meets all of the clients requirements​..

Creative Designer / Stylist Yacht Interiors

Today our international team of creative professionals is looking for an experienced Creative Designer / Stylist who can help us to create Yacht Interior designs to perfection!

CHECK OUT YOUR TASKS:

• Taking the lead in developing creative designs & design directions for interiors, custom furniture, styling, décor and materials according to requirements and art direction;
• Produce sketches, drawings, floor plans, idea / mood / style / materials boards to communicate creative designs & design directions to the Art Director and project leaders;
• Enhance and improve interior space functionality and style by designing & modifying architectural elements and arranging furniture, furnishings, FF&E, artwork, and décor up to final design phase;
• Creation of presentations, full briefings for CGI artists, design and collection of material samples and control on all required project documentation and schedules;
• Execution of projects with art director / senior designers / CGI artists / stylists / design engineers as a project team member and independently when necessary.

• 4-8 years professional experience as creative interior designer in super yacht industry and / or high-end luxury interior markets;

High-end Interior CAD Technician

You will work together with our development teams on several projects and will immerse yourself in effective drawing-up of interior designs for superyachts. Project will range from tenders to 100m+ superyachts.

• Creation and management of design-describing CAD drawing packages
• Contribution to and translation of developed designs for hi-end interiors / loose furniture, integrating form, function, technology and materials
• Development of design-related technical solutions and details according to requirements
• Intense cooperation with informal & supportive international team
• Communication and information transfer internally & with external parties.

Your Qualifications

• Proven 3 years+ of experience as interior CAD technician for hi-level residences and / or yachts
• Good knowledge of interior and furniture production and integration of systems and installations
• Professional mastery of AutoCAD and good knowledge of Adobe Suite
• Self-starter and team player
• Can-do mentality, flexible, responsible for workflow and deadlines;
• Good communication skills and able to work in an international environment
• Professional mastery of English language is required, Dutch is a plus
• Responsible, proactive, organized and a sharp eye for detail
• Living in or willing to relocate to Netherlands, a valid Dutch work permit is required.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic Visualizing Designer / CGI Artist (with an interior or industrial design background) to create interior models & visuals of great beauty and detail.

• You will be actively involved in and contribute to design and development processes;
• You execute projects in close cooperation with design directors, designers & and stylists;
• You interpret a sketch / mood board and transform it into high-quality designs, full custom 3D models and interior visuals;
• You create & apply material mappings that challenge reality;
• You apply superb light settings according to design and style directions.
• 3 years+ experience in creation of high-quality INTERIOR renderings, visible in portfolio;
• Master in 3DS Max, V-Ray and Adobe Suite;
• Expert modelling skills in 3DSMax: 99% of our projects is full custom;
• Open minded self-starter & team worker; very flexible towards iterations;
• Organizational & communication skills; to get the job done while meeting deadlines;

Dutch yard Damen Yachting has announced the delivery of the 60-metre Marsa . Sold in May 2021 as part of the original Amels 200 Limited Editions line, the yacht features a Tim Heywood exterior that shares similarities to fellow Limited Editions models Volpini 2 and Stella M . 

The custom interior is by Winch Design and features of the 1,015 GT vessel include a four-deck elevator, an air-conditioned gym on the sundeck and full-height windows in the owner's suite. Accommodation is for 12 guests and a total of 13 crew including the captain.

Tom Oomkens, project Manager at Damen Yachting, said the project was one of the most beautiful in the shipyard's fleet. "[The owners] were very impressed with the magic we did in the time we had. The pride in their eyes made us forget all the hard work and long hours," he said. 

Powered by the hybrid electric propulsion, the yacht will now embark on a private itinerary with her owner.
