OneWater has completed a sale and leaseback arrangement of the Roscioli Yachting Center with Bradford Marine . The Florida-based yachting services provider will acquire the refit and maintenance service operations at Roscioli and all real estate assets, and in turn, will provide support for the OneWater Yacht Group and Sunseeker brands.

“We are proud to have acquired the Roscioli Yachting Center and to partner with OneWater on this transaction,” says John Kelly, CEO, Bradford Marine. “We are excited about combining our adjoining properties and the expanded capabilities this transaction provides us.”

Roscioli Yachting Center is a full-service marina in Fort Lauderdale, providing services ranging from custom carpentry and fabrications to painting and refinishing, and mechanics.

“Roscioli’s comprehensive yacht and mega yacht service offering is a natural complement to the highly regarded Bradford family of companies, and we look forward to a continued partnership for years to come,” says Austin Singleton, CEO, OneWater.

The proceeds from the sale of Roscioli will be used to reduce OneWater’s long-term debt, as well as fund its ongoing plans for further merger and acquisition opportunities.

“This strategic relationship allows us to sharpen our focus on growing our Sunseeker Yacht sales, warranty and service operations, while also strengthening our balance sheet,” adds Singleton.

OneWater Marine is one of the largest marine retailers in the US, operating 97 retail locations and 11 distribution centres. Notably, the boating conglomerate acquired Denison Yachting  in April 2022.

roscioli yachting center sold

Jan 4, 2021, 3:00pm EST

From the South Florida Business Journal:

The Roscioli Yachting Center in Davie was sold for $30.4 million, following the death of founder Bob Roscioli in 2020.

Roscioli Yachting Center Inc., managed by his widow Sharon Roscioli, sold the marine center at 3201 and 3225 W. State Road 84 to South Florida Assets & Operations, part of Buford, Georgia-based OneWater Marine Holdings(Nasdaq: ONEW). The deal covers 12.1 acres with 222,890 square feet of marine-related facilities.

The seller was represented by Wes Shelton and Dan Smith of SM2 Advisors. Shelton said OneWater Marine will keep the Roscioli name on the property and retain the employees.

It was originally developed in 1985 and expanded in 2006. The facility has undercover storage for boats of up to 150 feet and offers a full range of yacht service and refurbishing capabilities.

Roscioli Yachting Center ranked No. 12 on the Business Journal list of largest South Florida Marine Industry Businesses with revenue of $11.6 million in 2017. It had 61 employees at the time of the survey.

Roscioli died at 78 in July from Covid-19.

Now, the Roscioli Yachting Center is in the hands of OneWater Marine, which has 68 stores in 10 states. This comes on the heels of the company’s purchase of Walker Marine Group in southwest Florida.

Roscioli Yachting Center Founder Bob Roscioli Dies

Bob Roscioli, founder and owner of Fort Lauderdale’s Roscioli Yachting Center, has died.

Roscioli, who was a marine industry icon, passed away on Monday, July 27 after being hospitalised with COVID-19, according to reports.

Beginning his career as an apprentice in 1962, Roscioli went on to become a well-known industry figure in the South Florida marine industry.

His career spanned many notable achievements, including the foundation of the state-of-the-art, full-service shipyard Roscioli Yacht Center.

It was here he became known for personally checking each project to ensure the highest quality was maintained, gaining a reputation as a meticulous perfectionist.

In the 1980s, he began building custom sportfishing yachts with Roscioli Deonzi Yachts, a long-held ambition.

A statement released by the Roscioli Yacht Center said: “Bob’s mantra “Today’s the Day” is the way he started every day at the yard. He could be seen walking the shipyard every morning, preparing for the day ahead.

“A true friend to first responders and veterans, Bob was an advocate of providing jobs and teaching those who have served or needed a chance. A true legacy to the marine industry.”
