ROMA Yacht – Idyllic $45M luxury yacht

The ROMA yacht is a 62.0m superyacht built and delivered by Viareggio Superyachts in 2010. 

She is the fourth largest yacht built by the Italian company, and she is also ranked as the 429 largest yacht in the world.

The ROMA yacht interior design was penned by Katharina Rczek from Newcruise.

The color scheme in white shades with gold, red and green hues honors the ocean with a sand-like carpet and sea shell-like panels on the main staircase. 

ROMA has a modern interior style perfect for the guest to either relax or socialize. Her panoramic windows fill the yacht with natural lights providing amazing views.

She can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in six staterooms, including a master suite, four double cabins, and one twin cabin. She can also carry 17 crew members in separate cabins. 

To ensure comfort and relaxation, ROMA has a variety of amenities to entertain every single guest, such as a swimming pool, movie theatre, gym, air-conditioning, inflatable water slide, games consoles, and an elevator. 

Her toys include jet skis, Yamaha wave runner, paddle boards, kayaks, sea bobs, jet surf, flyboard, floating pool, inflatable trampoline, and snorkeling and scuba diving equipment. She is also equipped with two tenders ready to use. 

ROMA yacht exterior

The ROMA yacht features both exterior design and naval architecture by Espen Øino International. 

She has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure and she’s characterized for having multiple open areas to sunbathe or use as platforms for any sports or activities.

ROMA features “at anchor stabilizers”, increasing onboard comfort and security even on rough waters. 

She has a Dynamic Positioning System that gives her access to coves and beaches, in spite of her size. She is also wheelchair friendly. 

ROMA yacht specifications

The ROMA yacht has a beam of 11.0m, a draft of 5.32m, and a volume of 1,090 GT. She is powered by two Caterpillar engines (2,682HP).

She has a crushing speed of 12 knots and can reach a maximum speed of 17 knots with a range of 6,000 nautical miles. She is also capable of carrying 158,000 liters of fuel and can store up to 39,000 liters of water. 

ROMA is known for being environmentally friendly, she is a RINA-certified green yacht. 

She also features PADI Certified Training Center and Approved RYA Water Sports Centre, so guests can learn how to scuba dive on a charter vacation. 

According to some websites, the ROMA yacht was last sold in 2015. This luxury yacht is available for private or corporate charter and events. 

The summer rate goes from 345,000 to 395,000 EUR per week plus expenses. 

Her cruising regions for this season are Croatia, France, Italy, Monaco, Montenegro, Turkey, Amalfi Coast, Corsica, French Riviera, Ibiza, Sardinia, and The Balearics. 

As for the winter season, there are no available rates or destinations.

ROMA has a current price of $45 million and an annual running cost of $4.5 million approximately.

The 203-foot (62m) luxury superyacht RoMa is beyond impressive. From her comfortable on-deck living areas to her contemporary interior spaces that were inspired by the ocean, RoMA provides the perfect platform for an exceptional charter experience from the moment you embark.

Launched in 2010 by Viareggio Superyachts, RoMA features impeccable design courtesy of famed Norwegian architect Espen Oeino. The yacht’s lavish, modern interior style was created by Katharina Raczek from Newcruise. She conceptualized a pristine color palate of crisp whites enhanced by golds and deep reds with hints of green. The interior décor pays homage to the sea with nuanced touches such as the main salon’s sand-like carpet and the Nautilus sea shell-like laser-cut paneling on the main staircase.

The spacious main salon is ideally suited for relaxing and socializing. The space features seating, a backlit onyx bar and coffee tables. Forward is formal dining for 12 at a beautiful circular table. The main deck also is home to the master stateroom located furthest forward. This elegant space features a king-size bed as well as a pullout sofa. Panoramic windows provide incredible views and natural light. The en-suite bathroom has his-and-hers sinks and a bathtub and a dressing room rounds out the lavish suite. Three additional en-suite staterooms also are found on the main deck. A fifth stateroom is located on the upper deck and the sixth is found below deck for added privacy. Twelve guests are comfortably accommodated on board.

RoMa’s on-board movie theater is a favorite space for guests after a day on the water. The full-beam skylounge features seating and a game table and beautiful nautical-inspired décor. Aft of the skylounge is a large alfresco dining table and built-in lounge seating. This is the perfect place to enjoy outdoor meals.

The sundeck aboard RoMa is a favorite place for guests to spend sun-soaked days. From the loungers and adjustable sunpads to the large pool and bar, what’s not to enjoy? This space also has an air-conditioned gym that offers impressive views as you work out.

RoMa comes with an outstanding inventory of water toys. Easily launched from her beautiful beach club, play with paddleboards, water skis, Jet Skis, Seabobs and snorkeling gear. The crew can set up the enormous waterslide for fast fun. A water golf game will keep everyone on their toys and the Castoldi Jet tender can take guests anywhere they want to go. RoMa is a PADI Superyacht Dive Boat and her onboard scuba instructors ensure total safety for all guests. She also is a RYA Personal Water Craft (PWC) School ensuring that all guests are able to use the Jet Skis and other toys. The yacht’s licensed masseuse/beautician provides a variety of spa treatments for guests. RoMa’s captain is well versed in yoga and meditation and is always willing to share his expertise on these and any other fields.

Her contemporary, light and the functional interior was designed by NEWCRUISE - Yacht Projects & Design. The main salon features a large lounge area with onyx bar, ideal for socializing and relaxation. PRESENTING ROMA

Viareggio SuperYachts launched the 62-meter megayacht ROMA. Important to note, after superyacht Candyscape II, this is the second VSY 62.  Similarly, the second new-build for this shipyard.

Motor yacht ROMA has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. Her build is to the strictest environmental standards.  She has an ES certification by ABS (Environmental Safety).  Significantly, the first-ever issued by ABS for a superyacht. Consequently, more Mediterranean yacht charter customers protect the environment.  To say nothing of the fact that her certification demonstrates the owner’s commitment to reducing the yacht’s carbon footprint.

The VSY 62 is an Espen Oeino design.  Her interior design by the German firm, Newcruise.  In addition, another German company, Gehr, is responsible for interior manufacture.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The Viareggio SuperYachts 62 has a voluminous interior. Subsequently, an even larger exterior. She accommodates 12. In specific, in 6 cabins. Her accommodations are a VIP stateroom on the bridge deck. In addition, three large staterooms on the main deck level.  Her master suite is up and forward on the main deck level. It has panoramic views over 270 degrees.  The sixth guest stateroom is below to starboard.  Of course, all staterooms offer ensuite facilities.

Some of the amazing features of this sensational yacht charter superyacht include state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.  Also, communication systems throughout. She features the latest in entertainment.  Additionally, a Lutron cabin control system, elevator, and gym. Lastly, a Jacuzzi pool, a cinema room, and a full array of water toys.

The crew quarters include eight double cabins below and the Captain’s cabin behind the bridge.  Uniquely, this makes for a total crew complement of 16 – 18 on board.

Description.

RoMa is the first and only yacht licensed as a PADI Superyacht Scuba Diving School, which means she is a legitimate diving school and guests can complete any official PADI course available on board and receive a genuine license which is valid worldwide. She is also a RYA licensed Personal Water Craft Centre, guests who meet the minimum requirements can obtain a provisional license to drive the motorised toys whilst on charter with exception to the Castoldi tender and the T/T RoMa 16.9m (55’ft) Anvera chase boat. RoMa achieved the accomplishment of being the first yacht ever, regardless of the size category, to be placed in all three competitions at a MYBA Charter Show. Notably, the Chief Stewardess won 1st place in the Wine Pairing & Table Presentation competition, the Chef was placed 3rd in the Chef’s competition and the entire crew of RoMa showed their amazing ability to deliver the best entertainment for guests by winning the “All Hands on Deck” competition. Furthermore, RoMa’s crew has also been nominated for the 2019 prestigious “Best Charter Crew Award.” RoMa is 100% child-friendly, wheelchair friendly and her crew is incredibly multilingual. She boasts an elevator for guests which serves all decks, a pool with counter-current jets for those wanting a good work out in the water, a very well equipped gym on the sun deck and an unbeatable array of toys including her exhilarating 27m water-slide which plunges all the way from the sundeck into the water. RoMa is also technically outstanding: she is equipped with DPS (dynamic positioning system) the Captain can stop anywhere without having to use the anchors, thus having no problems in floating completely still even on areas where the launching of anchors is forbidden due to algae meadow protection. Another amazing plus of chartering RoMa is her fantastic 16.9m (55’ft) Anvera chase boat. This amazing T/T RoMa is a small yacht in her own right and features a cabin, salon and bathroom in harmony with her ultramodern exterior. Master Suite: On the desirable Main Deck the entire forward area of the yacht is dedicated to the voluminous Master Suite along with three additional Guest Staterooms. The Master Suite exudes an understated elegance and features a King size bed as well as a pullout sofa for additional flexibility. Panoramic views, a working desk, and a private dressing area compliment this full beam stateroom. Decorated with neutral shades, subtle lighting is used to create a light and airy ambiance. It features a spacious en-suite with a steam/shower room built in beautiful Estremos marble ensuring the ultimate luxury charter experience. King bed: 2m wide Guest Suites: Three Main Deck Guest Staterooms feature en-suite bathrooms as well as a writing desk and separate seating areas. Each of the rooms is swathed in Champagne and cream tones with an alternate theme repeated in the detailing. A fifth Guest Stateroom is located on the Upper Deck, while the Sixth Stateroom is situated on the Lower Deck for those who may enjoy a little more privacy. The single beds in this last cabin can easily convert into a king size bed. There is a drinks fridge and a safe in each stateroom. An elevator services all guest levels. A separate crew elevator for service to all decks. The dining area is just forward of the salon and showcases the circular ding table that will comfortably seat 12 guests in style. Cinema / Games Room: One of her most impressive features is a on-board Cinema / Games room on the Main Deck. The walls of which are adorned with fiber optic stars. Upper Deck Lounge: A full beam Sky Lounge with coral accented pillows, is nestled in the same familiar soft cream tones as the Main Salon and Guest Staterooms.
