Viewing The Grand Prix From a Luxurious Yacht

This package is one of our favourites because you can see all the action and excitement the Monaco Grand Prix has to offer from the comfort and luxury of a large yacht berthed in the harbour. The stunning views is second to none from one of the 3 decks aboard the yacht and you could be hardly be closer to the race than here onboard and what lavish surroundings you will find you are in by being actually in Monaco harbour.

Our yacht is moored in a great location on the mega-speedy straight between Chicane du Port and Tabac and offers an excellent view of one of the large TV screens so you can easily be kept abreast of how the race is unfolding, though we will be on hand with any questions you may have about the race to make your time onboard as enjoyable as possible. This is nothing more glamourous and adrenalin fuelled than watching on board a luxury yacht on Monaco harbour with the action so close you can almost feel the wind the racing cars generate as they rush by at over 140mph, there will be no time for napping onboard the yacht when the race is on!

2024 Monaco Grand Prix Private Yacht Charter

Yacht charter at the monaco grand prix monte carlo, monaco 24-26 may 2024.

If you are looking for a truly VIP package at the Monaco Grand Prix we have over one hundred yachts available for private charter .

These can be hired for as little as five nights over the Grand Prix or more if you are looking to base yourself in Monaco for a longer stay.

Email [email protected] or Call 0207 118 0456 The yachts we have vary from those built within the last twelve months to others around ten years old. All come with a professional crew ranging from around six to twenty five people depending on the size of the yacht. We have a wide range of sizes too, anything from 17 metres right the way up to 90 metres . Obviously the big yachts can’t berth at the front of the harbour  and thus won’t have a track view.

Some of our yachts can sleep up to twenty people on board with the smaller ones just having one or two cabins.

As well as the cost of the chartering the yacht and the crew you also have to bear in mind the cost of the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) which is food, drink, fuel and berthing costs. The APA is usually around 30% of the charter fee.

However, many people have questions about the booking process. From when to book to where to berth, this article gives a run-down of the most commonly-asked questions and answers, complete with expert advice and tips on how to get the most from your Monaco Grand Prix superyacht experience. 

How do I rent a yacht at the Monaco Grand Prix?

The first thing you will need to do is find a reputable yacht charter broker , who will act as a buffer between you and the yacht owner. They will be able to give you sound advice and information and will ultimately be responsible for organizing your grand prix yacht charter, right down to the very last detail.

Booking a yacht at the Formula One fixture is a complicated process, so be sure to find yourself a broker who has undertaken the procedure before. A broker with the necessary expertise and connections will ensure a smooth and straightforward superyacht experience at the F1 Monaco Grand Prix.

When do I need to book my Monaco Grand Prix yacht charter?

You will need to book your Monaco Grand Prix yacht charter up to eight months in advance if you are looking to secure a berth in Port Hercules. Demand for these berths is extremely high, so you will need to get in touch with your charter broker well ahead of time in order to start the planning process.

How can I book a berth with trackside views?

Many luxury yachts based in Monaco hold year-round berths in premium locations that overlook the racetrack. If track views are important to you, you should try to book a yacht that has already secured a desirable trackside berth. This will remove the hassle of trying to secure one such berth yourself.

How long can I rent a yacht for at the Monaco Grand Prix?

The minimum number of days you can rent a yacht over the Monaco Grand Prix is five days and it has to be between Wednesday and Sunday. This is because practice and qualifying sessions begin on Thursday, through to the main race on Sunday. Roads open to the public on Monday.

Superyachts cannot leave the marina throughout the duration of the grand prix. But, guests can easily extend their yacht charter and explore the glittering coastlines of the French Riviera when the racing draws to a close. 

What can I do if I can’t berth in Port Hercules?

There are 700 berths in Port Hercules, and they all fill up well in advance for the Monaco Grand Prix. If you are not able to secure one of these coveted slips, don’t panic; there are other places you can berth. 

Tucked around the corner from Port Hercules is Port Fontvieille. Though smaller, demand for berths here is much less fierce as you will have to take a tender across to Port Hercules to watch the on-track action. It is recommended that you book a minimum of three months in advance to secure one of the 275 berths.

Alternatively, superyachts can anchor around the Bay of Monaco and, again, take a tender in to watch the racing. Of course, you will not need to book to anchor, but your yacht will not benefit from the facilities available at the marinas. Please note, if you are coming to Monaco via tender to watch the races, you will need to hold a ticket that allows access to the F1 Monaco Grand Prix or have a hospitality package secured at one of the venues surrounding the track.

Can I get off my yacht to watch the races?

As the streets of Monaco make up the grand prix circuit, much of Monte Carlo is closed off during practice and race sessions. At these times, when cars are on the track, access from the land to Port Hercules and vice versa is not possible.

Should I consider a Monaco Grand Prix yacht hospitality package?

If you do not want to charter a yacht privately, but would still like to step on board a superyacht, you can do so with the help of an F1 yacht hospitality package.

These are a cost-effective option for those who do not wish to book an entire yacht for 5 days and will entitle you access to a superyacht over the course of the races, as well as a host of other advantages including premium drinks, gourmet food and drink and live performances from international DJs. A bid(s) entered by mistake on the part of a bidder is NOT grounds for cancellation of that bid. Each bidder is responsible for his or her own account and bids. In addition, allowing access to another who enters a bid without your knowledge is NOT grounds for cancellation of a bid.

C. Fraudulent Bidding

All Bidders must meet Charitybuzz’s qualifications to bid. Any Bidder who is not a client in good standing of Charitybuzz may be disqualified at Charitybuzz’s sole discretion and will not be awarded lots. Such determination may be made by Charitybuzz in its sole discretion, at any time prior to, during, or even after the close of the Auction. Charitybuzz reserves the right to exclude any person from the auction.

Bids will not be accepted from minor persons under eighteen (18) years of age without a parent’s written consent containing an acknowledgement of the conditions herein and indicating their agreement to be bound thereby on behalf of the bidder.

If an entity places a bid, then the person executing the bid on behalf of the entity agrees to personally guarantee payment for any successful bid.

Any bidder that represents a purchaser is personally and individually responsible for any obligations of the purchaser set forth in these terms and conditions. All purchasers purchasing pursuant to a valid resale license will need to provide appropriate documentation for removal of state sales tax.

D. Winning & Disputes

The successful bidder is the highest bidder acknowledged by Charitybuzz. In the event of any dispute between bidders, or in the event of doubt on Charitybuzz’s part as to the validity of any bid, Charitybuzz will have final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the lot in question. If any dispute arises after the sale, Charitybuzz’s sale record is conclusive. While Charitybuzz makes every effort to guarantee accuracy, in the event of an error, and a lot is accidentally declared sold by mistake, Charitybuzz reserves the right to cancel the sale and relist the lot in its sole discretion.

By accepting the Conditions of Sale, Bidder personally and unconditionally guarantees payment.

Title to any lot remains with the Seller, any secured party of the Seller, or assignee of Seller, as the case may be, until the lot is paid for in full by the Bidder. Charitybuzz reserves the right to require payment in full before delivering any lot to the successful bidder.

A maximum bid is a secret amount you enter, that represents the maximum amount you are willing to bid. It is higher than the current price and also higher than the next allowable minimum bid amount. If you enter a maximum bid, we’ll bid on your behalf up to that maximum bid amount in response to other bids, according to Charitybuzz’s bidding tiers.

The value and status of your maximum bid will be visible only to you, unless it is the leading bid.

Charitybuzz strongly encourages the use of Max Bids to increase your chances of winning.

When an auction reaches the final 10 minutes before it closes, any bids received in that final 10 minutes push out the previous close time by an additional 10 minutes. This recurring 10 minute extension is known as “Extended Bidding,” and is signified by a banner above the auction timer on the lot page.

This dynamically extending period is designed to protect against a practice commonly known as “sniping” or “last second bidding” where bidders attempt to enter a quick bid in the final seconds of an auction to secure a win before competing bidders have a chance to counter.

Live bids lots are a special type of auction lot on Charitybuzz. Live bid lots on Charitybuzz are paired with a real world, physical auction, where that real world auction is often scheduled to occur at a later date. You can distinguish Live Bid lots by the “Live Bid” label in the title of the lot, and additional description text at the start of the lots “Overview” tab.

In a Live Bid lot on Charitybuzz, a lot is created that is similar to any other auction lot on the site. These special lots last for similar amounts of time and bidding occurs normally by our users.

Things start to differ after a Charitybuzz Live Bid lot closes. After it closes and the winning bidder is chosen, that winning bidder’s bid amount or (if it exists) the max bid amount associated with that winning bid, are taken and entered into the associated real world auction. For example, if a bidder on Charitybuzz wins at $12,000 with an unrealized max bid of $15,000, then that $15,000 dollar amount is passed on into the real world auction.

Before the winning bidders bid or max bid amount is passed on, someone from Charitybuzz contacts that winner after the Charitybuzz lot closes and before the real world auction opens. This is to confirm if the bidder would like to increase their bid or max bid amount before it’s entered into the real world auction.

What happens during the real world auction? Each individual one may vary. Charitybuzz does not own or operate any real world auctions, nor does Charitybuzz require any partners to follow a specific auction model. We make no claims to the consistency of real world auction experiences and encourage bidders to contact us for more details as needed.

In our experience, real world auctions tied to Charitybuzz Live Bid lots are typically executed by our partners in a few common ways.

In one scenario, if an auction house and an auctioneer is present, winning live bids from Charitybuzz Live Bid lots are treated as “absentee” bids. This normally means that the Charitybuzz winning bid is placed in the auctioneers books as a bid. As the auctioneer conducts the auction, they will bring up and enter the Charitybuzz winning bid during the course of the auction as the current price or next minimum bid value approaches the Charitybuzz winner’s bid amount. In this scenario, other people in the real world room are expected to bid against the auctioneer, not the Charitybuzz winning bidder. If no one is bidding in the room, the auctioneer will typically keep bidding up the price until the Charitybuzz Live Bid winner wins the real world auction.

In other models, an audience member (including, but not limited to a charity partner employee) might act as a proxy for the winning Charitybuzz bidder. They will usually bid on behalf of the winning Charitybuzz Live Bid winner during the normal course of that auction, using whatever means provided for that auction house (i.e. paddles, etc.)

After the auction is completed, someone from Charitybuzz contacts our bidder to let them know the outcome. If that Charitybuzz Live Bid bidder has won, payment occurs as usual. If that Charitybuzz Live Bid bidder did not win, they will be notified accordingly.

A reserve bid is a bid placed by Charitybuzz on behalf of the seller up to the minimum reserve (if applicable). Bids placed by Charitybuzz on behalf of the seller up to the amount of the reserve, will be counted toward the total bid count displayed on the lot page’s bid box.

Refunds are rewarded on a case by case basis and at the sole discretion of Charitybuzz, LLC.

Experiences auctioned on Charitybuzz.com go through a specific redemption process to coordinate details and complete. That process normally involves messaging and scheduling between all parties (i.e. winners, charities, sellers, venues). Details discussed include but are not limited to experience dates, arrival procedures, airfare, hotel accommodations, restrictions, will-call requirements, and any other on-site notes. Scheduling requires an initial request sent by the customer, and a followup confirmation submitted by relevant redemption contacts.

By using Charitybuzz to bid and win lots, bidders agree to use the Redemption Center exclusively (where enabled) to message and schedule all experiences – doing so is a requirement of redeeming experiences through Charitybuzz. In addition, bidders agree that they are bound by all site terms of use and auction conditions of sale.

Getting your item - Items will either be shipped directly from Charitybuzz or from the item seller (Third Party) as indicated. Items shipping from Charitybuzz will be sent within five business days of payment settlement by the winning bidder. All third party items will be shipped within the times indicated on the lot page. Winning bidders should ensure the desired shipping address is provided to Charitybuzz within 24 hours after payment settlement. Oversized items may require special delivery arrangements, which Charitybuzz will coordinate between the winning bidder and the selected freight carrier. Will Call Pickups - In some cases, tickets will be left at the venue’s “Will Call” window under the winner’s name. Winning bidders may be required to submit the names of attendees up to several weeks ahead of the event. A valid photo ID for each person listed at Will Call is often required. When available, Charitybuzz will attempt to provide an onsite point of contact, but makes no guarantee that this information will be available for any given lot. Will Call tickets are typically available at the Will Call window at least an hour before the event, unless otherwise specified. The Will Call window is usually located near the venue's main entrance.

After winning - Detailed redemption information will be emailed to the winning bidder. Redemption contact information will be emailed to the winning bidder within two business days of payment settlement by the winning bidder. The redemption contact will work with the winning bidder to fulfill the lot within the appearance times, time constraints, event dates or locations, and other particulars listed in the lot details.

À l’occasion de la 7e Monaco Ocean Week, organisée à l’initiative de la Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco aux côtés du Gouvernement Princier, de l’Institut océanographique de Monaco, et du Centre Scientifique de Monaco, le Yacht Club de Monaco a mené les échanges dans le domaine de la Grande Plaisance jeudi 21 mars dernier, et a remis les 4e « YCM Explorer Awards by La Belle Classe Superyachts », une initiative lancée en 2019.

Un jury de professionnels a attribué les prix dans les différentes catégories définies comme « technologie et innovation », « science et médiation » et « aventure et éthique environnementale », et l’engagement de ces hommes et femmes a été salué par le Souverain : «  grâce à leur forte sensibilité environnementale, ils jouent et joueront un rôle crucial dans l’exploration marine, apportant un soutien inestimable aux scientifiques et aux communautés locales. »  Le Prince Albert II a égaiement rappelé que la tradition d’exploration était profondément ancré dans l’histoire de Monaco et que nous la devons au Prince Albert 1er.
