The Pisces, in our opinion, is the best deal as it comes with better watercraft and a better helicopter than the Orion. However, if you are a fan of jet skis and don’t mind the extra cost, The Aquarius is the way to go. Once you have decided which yacht to buy, you can customize it with aesthetic upgrades such as gold fittings, lighting, and a paint job. You can also choose your own flag and name for the yacht.

How to Buy a Yacht in GTA Online

To buy a yacht in GTA Online, you need to open your phone, head to the internet, then to vehicles and transportation. Click the “Galaxy Super Yacht” banner, pick your yacht, and set your options. Then click “Buy Now,” and you will immediately receive a notification and a new contact. Once you get the notification, head back out to the free roam lobby to get another notification about your chopper (if your yacht comes with one).

What Can You Do With Your Yacht?

Besides having a helicopter, watercraft, and a bedroom, there are other things you can do with your yacht. For example, you can move the yacht around the coastline, though you can’t actually drive the yacht itself sadly. Additionally, you can call in your helicopter by going to contacts, toggling down to the captain, and requesting a helicopter. The yacht also comes with some defenses, but keep in mind that if someone swims to your yacht, the defense system won’t target them. Finally, you can start yacht missions, which can be a great way to earn money.

Yacht Missions

Yacht missions are missions that you can start once you have the yacht. There are six missions in total, and they can take between eight and twenty minutes each to complete. Additionally, the missions can typically pay between twenty and thirty thousand dollars each. However, keep in mind that it can take a while to break even, as you need to complete a minimum of 200 missions to break even with the cheapest yacht.

concert updates from rockstar for gta online there’s no shortage of new content and interesting things to do join me then as we look at the luxury yachts in gta 5 online before we dive in if you’re new to the channel we do how-to guides news and giveaways so consider subscribing and ring the bell to stop today so first things first why on earth would you want a yacht well there’s a few core reasons the luxury heli so depending on your budget your new yacht might come with a helicopter which can be called for a small cost they have a very specific spawn point so they’re not quite as convenient as a sparrow or the oppressor but they’re still very nice some watercraft so that’s a few jet skis and a lovely power boat all of which are stationed off the back of the yacht an additional spawn point so unsurprisingly the yachts have a bedroom so you can spawn in and this can be handy if you have businesses near the southwestern coast or you want quicker access to the los santos airport anti-griefer measures so the yacht comes with a neat defense system that gives you a safe haven it has a couple of caveats but it’s a great way to deal with vehicle-based idiots access to exclusive missions the yacht gives you access to facility specific missions they’re designed for noobs and can be done completely solo and of course it’s a hell of a flex i mean it’s a nice facility to have and one of the most expensive things you can buy in the game so it is a cracking way to show off right we have three different options to choose from with the yachts starting with the orion at 6 million which is a 210 footer and it comes with a single helipad a small two-person canopy runabout and a jet ski the pisces at seven million dollars also a 210 footer but this one comes with two helipads a swift deluxe helicopter the big car speeder which is arguably the best boat in the game a dinghy and two jet skis and a hot tub and finally the aquarius at eight million even now this is the same size and birth as the other yachts 210 feet and has two helipads a hot tub and a dinghy the same as the pisces but comes with the super volito carbon and the toro as well as four jet skis so i’ve gone for the aquarius here but only because it was on super special if i was paying full price the pisces at seven million dollars is a better buy in my opinion the speedboat and their helicopter that come with the pisces are much better and really how often are you using four jet skis at the same damn time next up is the trim chrome is included but you can step it up with gold fittings for an additional seven hundred and fifty 000 lighting and color scheme next now again there is a free option but you can pick from the eight available which will set you back anywhere up to 600 grand sticking with the aesthetics the paint job is next starting with the white paint job and grey trim included and with 12 options ranging in price up to 650 000 and the final option is your flag and yacht name both of which are included in the original price so your minimum out of pocket on this one is six million which gets you the base model yet and nothing else if you have around 8 million to spend though the pisces with a few aesthetic upgrades would be the go right once you’ve decided on your model find somewhere safe open your phone and head to the internet then to vehicles and transport docts and click the galaxy super yacht banner pick your yacht and set your options click buy now and you will immediately receive a notification and a new contact close out of the internet by hitting the x up the top right and you’ll see a new notification with the yacht icon top left as well as a new message from the captain of your new vessel after that you can head back out to the free roam lobby and you’ll get yet another notification this time about your chopper if your yacht comes with one and i’ll cover how to call that in in a bit right so once you’re ready head over to your new yacht and take a look around and after you’ve had a bit of an explore head to the helmets where the captain hangs out and into the yellow marker to start yacht missions there are six missions in total and depending on your skill with a chopper a boat and a firearm they’ll take you between eight and twenty minutes each to complete and typically pay between twenty and thirty thousand dollars each which means an absolute minimum of 200 missions or 27 hours to break even if you go for the absolute cheapest option and get the maximum payout every time honestly though it’ll be more like 300 missions and 75 hours of grinding at maximum difficulty to get your money back so great flex rubbish investment you do get this sweet captain’s outfit though which is nice oh and there’s a few additional things you can do with the yacht which can come in handy too firstly if you’ve gone for the pisces or aquarius you can call in your helicopter and to do this open your phone and go to contacts toggle down to the captain and give him a call once he picks up select request helicopter which will set you back a thousand dollars now this is a little old school so the chopper will spawn in in one of a few dozen places around the map which was great back in the day but it is pretty inconvenient if you’re used to a sparrow or a mark 2 oppressor but anyway once it’s spawned in you’ll see a new chopper icon on the map head on over and you’re good to go while we’re on the captain’s phone you may have also noticed a few other options you can use this same menu to call in your premium boat which will again spawn somewhere up the coast oh and you can also request a personal vehicle or your next job too should you feel so inclined the next thing you can do is move the yacht around the coastline now again this is a little old school so you can’t actually drive the damn thing sadly it’s not the kasaka but you can have the yacht quick travel to different locations in the lobby or be it at a particularly ouchy cost of 25 grand a throw to do this head to the helm on your yacht and stand next to the captain to trigger a button prompt in the top left of the screen click the button noted and bring up the location menu then you can cycle through the locations until you’ve found the one you’re after your defenses and management is next now to access these you can be anywhere on the yacht or anywhere outside in the free roam map head to the interaction menu that’s m on your keyboard the double squares on your xbox or swipe for your playstation scroll down to services and galaxy super yacht from there there’s a few things you can do to skipping the defenses for a moment we can set up who has access to the boats jet skis and the chopper if you have one we can also change who can access the yacht itself and we can set the type of clothing that people wear in the hot tub if yacht has one finally let’s scroll back up to defenses when these are on and don’t forget to set your exclusions but when these are on any player in the free roam lobby in a vehicle will be targeted by the defense systems oh and this also takes care of guided missiles from the casa too but there’s a rub it’s only players in vehicles if someone swims to yacht they won’t be targeted and will be able to board the vessel so it’s great for mark to inject griefers but not so good for people who are just running around being a pain in the backside oh and one more thing with the defenses when they’re on no one can draw a weapon no one it’s great because you can’t have a griefer come in and The Galaxy Super Yacht is a yacht introduced to Grand Theft Auto Online in the GTA Online: Executives and Other Criminals update for the PlayStation 4 , Xbox One , and PC .

In A Superyacht Life - Bon Voyage , it is stated that "Galaxy" would provide some compensation for unexpected engine failure. It is not certain whether "Galaxy" is the company name of the ship manufacturer, or just simply a short-form for "Galaxy Super Yacht" as a full company name.

Description [ ]

The yacht is a full-sized yacht/cruiser fitted with a range of luxury features, including one or two helipads. The vessels feature a large bridge and 3 individual decks, while medium and high-end yachts also include a jacuzzi and a luxury helicopter.

There are a few options which can be chosen by calling the ship's captain using the in game phone, and can be used to gain access to the yacht when it is anchored at a location. The options include:

Calling for the helicopter (if applicable) which spawns on the yacht to be delivered to a location near the anchor point. Costs $1,000.
Calling for a boat to be delivered to the shoreline near the anchor point. This will always be the Dinghy . Costs $750.
Requesting your personal vehicle to be delivered to the shoreline so that you can travel from the yacht to the shore and have a car waiting for you. Free of charge.

Yachts can be purchased from $ 6,000,000 to $8,000,000 in GTA Online .

The Yacht cannot be controlled and does not move by itself, but the player can request the captain to move it to another location for $25,000. This fee can be reduced to $10,000 by completing the A Superyacht Life missions.

The ship comes with 2 NPC crew members — the captain and a bartender. The player can select who can access the yacht and its vehicles. Like apartments, the yacht can be set as a spawn point. Essentially, the yacht acts as a floating apartment, although it does not count toward the total properties owned by the player.

When entering the location of the yacht or nearing it, the following format of text will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen: [model of yacht] [custom name of yacht] [player's ID]

Air defenses [ ]

The owner can activate the vessel's weapons defense system through the interaction menu and specify who can pass through, but while the system is active, players cannot access their personal weapons or fire their weapons from armed vehicles in a 150-meter radius of the yacht. The defense system can attack player and NPC aircraft and those with parachutes by emitting nearby explosions within the 250 meter radius, and also giving a warning to intruders to leave the air zone when approaching in the radius of 400 meters. It can even destroy armored aircraft (including the Avenger ) in one direct hit. The air defenses can also defend against incoming rockets from aircraft and launchers.

Similar to the customized apartments , several modifications can be applied to allow the player to create their own yacht. The following apply to all models of the Yacht.

Essentially, the main difference between the two types of lighting options is that the Vivacious puts light bars on the exterior of the yacht as well as lighting the interior, whereas the Presidential option only lights the interior.

Each of the color options features an additional accent color, this is most visible when looking at the demonstration photos of the lighting when selecting the options when you purchase the yacht. If the player selects the Vivacious Gold lighting for example, the top decks are lit up purple, and there are other places along the yacht which this accent color will feature. Accent colors feature on both Presidential and Vivacious options, however the latter is more vibrant. The following accent colors correspond to the lighting choices:

Based on the colour scheme chosen, the spawned vehicles on the yacht will take on that color scheme as well.

The player is able to select from 46 flags to place on the rear:

It costs $500,000 to downgrade to the Orion and $1,000,000 to downgrade to the Pisces.
Darcy states in A Superyacht Life - Overboard that paper documentation kept onboard identifies the ship and crew as permanent residents of international waters. Without it, taxes would have to be paid to the IRS.
Multiple yachts can be in the same area, except they are spread out. There are 12 spots around the map which a yacht can be moved to, and there is a limit of 3 yachts at one time in the same location. This means that there are enough spaces in a single 30 player free roam lobby for every player to have their yacht on the map at the same time.
In addition, it will also cost $250,000 to rename their yacht, and $25,000 to fit a different flag onto their yacht.
Despite the vessel's size, there doesn't appear to be any staff present other than the Bartender and the Captain, Brendan Darcy . However, there are apparently further occupants according to the Bartender, as she will sometimes comment to the player "The crew are so well trained, you wouldn't even know they were here". In A Superyacht Life - Overboard, Darcy mentions that he will send out crew members to retrieve the jetskis stolen from the ship.
All models feature inaccessible areas, as evidenced by windows not connected to rooms in the cabin. This could be where the crew mentioned above reside. Additionally, there seems to be a large engine room as seen on the Dignity , as these Yacht models share the same removable access hatch by the stern.
Vehicles that come with the yacht purchase will respawn on/with the yacht a few minutes after being destroyed.
In addition, should one deign to sit in one of the designated seats in the Jacuzzi, their health would quickly regenerate to full.
The yacht hot tubs also have a location where the player can stand and lean against the side of the tub, which is unique to the yacht hot tubs.
The ash trays that appear around the Jacuzzi have " Buckingham Luxor " branding on them, likely because they were reused from the ash trays present in the Luxor Deluxe .
The roof and electronic masts vary between yacht models. The Orion has a mostly flat roof and a tall, vertical mast; the Pisces has short exhaust risers, more anti-aircraft launch tubes, and a sloped mast; and the Aquarius has tall exhaust risers, even more anti-aircraft launch tubes and a short mast attached to an arch.
Despite the number of anti-aircraft launch tubes between yacht models, they all have equal range, firepower, and reloading times.

Example of the generic "true" name that can appear on a yacht when the owner leaves the session.

When there's someone on a yacht and the owner leaves the session, the yacht will have the name "true" or "false" shown on the back. No-one will be able to use the vehicles that belong to the yacht. When no one is looking at the yacht, it will despawn. In some cases, the defense system will come online, with Brendan warning the player to leave the yacht's vicinity.
When a player moves their yacht, any other players on it will also be moved on the yacht to its new location.
If the player moves their yacht, vehicles left on it that do not belong get left behind. If another player is in the area, the vehicle will simply fall into the sea.
The chair on the right side of the Yacht's bar has unique animations where the player sitting on it will do actions such as head banging, tapping their feet, resting their arm on the chair's head and clapping their hands.
There is an error with the Hot Tub where the player's clothes will not get visibly wet when entering it, however, water can still be seen falling off of them after they have left it.
Despite not being near land, strippers from the Vanilla Unicorn can still be called to the Yacht. The phone options menu will state "Invite to Your Apartment" however, but if the player is present inside their Yacht, they will buzz the Cabin door there instead.
If a vehicle is driven into the hot tub, it wouldn't get damaged from the water, even if it's fully submerged.
The yacht's anti-air defenses are not able to defend against Merryweather Security 's airstrike service.
The yacht, especially the Aquarius, appears to be the same yacht from Max Payne 3's "Sun Tan Oil, Stale Margaritas, and Greed" chapter, which is another Rockstar game. Likely a homage, considering that Max Payne 3 came out in 2012, one year before Grand Theft Auto V .

Glitches [ ]

There is a minor visual glitch that occurs during rainy weather, wherein the ceilings and canopies of the yacht will not block the rain while the player is on the deck, and the rain falls through these surfaces.
Sometimes, yacht owners may see someone else's yacht marked as their own; it will be marked on their radar and their name will appear above it, as if the player owned a second yacht. This, however, does not affect any functionalities on either the player's own yacht or the other player's, such as accessibility or the air defenses.

The Best Boats To Buy In GTA Online

There are a plethora of available boats to buy on the GTA Online marketplace but a select few are a notch above the rest.

There are several classes of vehicles in GTA Online , all of which are quite well-known to any veteran of the franchise. However, there is one certain class of vehicle that tends to get overlooked and undervalued in GTA Online. That class is the boats, which are extremely useful and unique in their own right compared to cars, jets, etc. While boats don't serve as many purposes as those aforementioned vehicles, they can still be a solid class to either collect or stock up on so you're ready for any occasion.

In this guide, we'll be going over what we believe to be the best boats to buy in GTA Online. This list will not include yachts or the Kosatka submarine , however, as we feel those are in a class of their own. Instead, we'll be focusing on actual boats, which range from military-grade to racing to luxury.

Best Boats in GTA Online

While some players might think the fastest boats in GTA Online equals the best, that's not entirely true. Though it does apply to certain boats, there are some that aren't fast at all but might be more worth your money than a boat that can blaze across the Pacific Ocean.

Shitzu Longfin

The Longfin kicks this list off, and for great reasons. Not only does the Longfin have the top boat speed of 122 miles per hour, but it also features outstanding handling, perhaps better than any other boat in GTA Online. Though the handling does come down a bit thanks to the large body of the Longfin, players can still fly around sharp turns with ease while still maintaining their speed. Performance aside, the Longfin has a sleek and slender look that screams luxury. What also screams luxury is its price tag, which is $2,125,000. This is by no means the most expensive boat in the game but it does require players to open their wallets more so than other options.

Lampadati Toro

The Lampadati Toro is yet another luxury boat that comes pre-equipped with a decent speedometer and a terrific aesthetic. The Toro tops out at around 50 miles per hour, which isn't nearly as fast as the top boats in GTA Online. However, the Toro has high acceleration, meaning players will get faster over time, allowing them to catch up to another boat in a race or speed away from police. Its handling is a bit lackluster and will still spend $1,750,000 to acquire it. However, the Toro is a solid investment that's a ton of fun to drive.

Pegassi Speeder

While the Pegassi Speeder doesn't have the top-rated boat speed in GTA Online, coming in at 68 miles per hour, or superior handling and acceleration, it does come with a feature other boats don't. That feature is the ability to be stored on the Galaxy Super Yacht, which comes in handy when you're planning a heist or waiting on your yacht for other reasons. The Speeder also doesn't cost an arm and a leg, only coming in at $325,000. While it's not the best boat in GTA Online, having the ability to be stored on the Galaxy Super Yacht and featuring above-average performance makes it a great purchase.

Nagasaki Weaponized Dinghy

Who doesn't love a dinghy with a machine gun? The Nagasaki Weaponized Dinghy is an extremely popular boat in GTA Online, mostly due to its machine gun and overall performance. It has a top speed of 71.50 miles per hour, making it faster than plenty of standard boats. However, it cannot be used in standard races, so players might have to use the regular Nagasaki Dinghy for those needs. The difference between the two is the standard Dinghy has no weapons but can be raced. The price for the weaponized version is $1,850,000, which is actually not a bad deal for what you're getting in return. Comparatively, the price for the non-weaponized version is only $166,250.

If you want an even better weaponized boat, you can shell out for the Kurts 31 Patrol Boat, which costs nearly $3 million. The Patrol Boat has better overall performance than the Dinghy but does cost over 50% more.

Speedophile Seashark

Rounding out our list is the best Jetski in GTA Online. While not technically a boat, since there are so few high-performance Jetskis in the game, we decided to include the Seashark. It has two variants, the standard one and the Lifeguard one. The only difference between the two is their paint jobs. Both have a top speed of 67 miles per hour, keeping them competitive with top-rated boats on the open water. As one would expect, the Jetskis also have terrific handling.

As a cherry on top, the Seashark can also be stored on the Galaxy Super Yacht and doesn't cost much, coming in at only $17,000. If anything, the Seashark is a worthwhile purchase for the simple pleasure of riding a Jetski on the Pacific Ocean in GTA Online.

GTA Online: How To Complete The Superyacht Life Missions

The Superyacht Life Missions are a complex series of quests in GTA Online. Here's everything players need to know about them.

What is a superyacht life, mission 1: overboard, mission 2: salvage, mission 3: all hands, mission 4: icebreaker, mission 5: bon voyage.

Unlike most entries in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, Grand Theft Online allows players to breathe life into their characters and explore Southern San Andreas as their own crime lords-to-be. Now outside the confines of the stories of usual Grand Theft Auto protagonists, GTA Online players are left to their own devices to make a name for themselves with a rising criminal empire. That, or just go have explosive mayhem with their friends.

Thankfully, players who want a genuine GTA experience can rely on missions to give them a semblance of sanity in the game’s setting. One such quest is “A Superyacht Life,” which in itself is a series of six missions that players can pursue with up to three friends. What makes “A Superyacht Life” one of the most memorable quest lines in the hit online installment, and how can players complete it?

Available through the Los Santos Summer Special update released in 2020, “A Superyacht Life” is a questline given to a player or up to four players. This questline is primarily set in the Galaxy Super Yacht , an expensive GTA Online vehicle that players will eventually own.

Similar to other questlines in GTA Online , the ones provided in A Superyacht Life revolve around an interconnected plot point. Players must assist the quest-giver, Captain Brendan Darcy, in various duties involving the usage of the Galaxy Super Yacht. These include undersea missions, cargo retrieval, and even fulfilling the goals of high-end clients.

Accessing The Quests

Players can access "A Superyacht Life" from the Bridge of the Galaxy Super Yacht. From here, they should head to the Captain’s Workstation to load the current mission available to them.

Alternatively, players may be able to use their smartphone to call Captain Brendan Darcy and then choose a Request Job. The current available mission in the series should be made accessible to players. Both these options are available as long as players haven’t completed the questline in full.

When players access this mission, a distressed Captain Darcy informs the player that someone has stolen the yacht’s jetskis (another expensive GTA Online vehicle ) as well as important documents related to both the Captain and the players. The documents specify that they are “permanent residents of international waters.”

First, head to the Vespucci Canals, the last known location of the joyriders. The waterworks can prove tricky ground to eliminate the thieves at first, but the area provides both decent cover and a lot of openings to shoot opponents.

The Captain will then inform players that the thieves were part of a Puerto Del Sol yacht club, which means players have to exact revenge against them. To do this, they need to head to the yacht club and sink the 10 boats located there. Players need to do this fast, as one of the boats may attempt to sail away from danger. This second objective is tricky, as this part of the mission is done with a Wanted level that doesn’t lower. The yacht club also has medium-level Security Guards. Moreover, the mission is only completed once players lose their Wanted level as well.

After a successful encounter with thieves, the Captain sends players to their second Grand Theft Auto mission . "Salvage" resembles a more modern take on sea exploration, albeit with a dash of wanton violence. The Captain informs a player of a distress call that has come from a sunken supply ship, the Olifantus, not too far from them. Should they make it in time, they will be able to retrieve the cargo and the loot for themselves.

Retrieving Supplies

Players are first directed to a dredge barge just south of the yacht. Go underwater towards the shipwreck and slowly retrieve the supplies. Players can’t stay underwater for too long, though. They are able to rise and swim back courtesy of Rebreathers, around 10 of which are provided. Players may also use their own scuba suit for this portion of the game.

Dealing With The Kkangpae

The Captain, via a call, congratulates the player after their retrieval of the cargo. Unfortunately, the sound of glass breaking can be heard, as well as the implication that part of the cargo has been stolen. Players have to go back to the ship, only to see it hijacked by the Kkangpae. They will also notice some enemies riding Dinghies circling their yacht. The confrontation with the Kkangpae is tricky, as players find themselves surrounded. There is no time limit for rescuing the Captain though, so players can take their time.

After eliminating the Kkangpae, players will receive a call from an unknown number with the Captain on the line. He will explain that the Kkangpae took him and the bartender hostage as revenge for the yacht destruction in the previous mission. Players will be directed to a peninsula near Cape Catfish, with one area designated as a hostage site. Be careful during this portion of the mission, as the player's travel towards the peninsula will have them encounter various Kkangpae. Not only that, they need to steer clear of the hostage site, as the Captain and bartender will be executed once players are seen at a particular distance. Eliminating the hostiles stealthily will complete the mission.

The adventures of the players and the Galaxy Super Yacht take a wilder turn fitting the Grand Theft Auto name courtesy of the third mission. When players accept their mission, the Captain tells the player of a business deal they have to salvage involving the Pacific Country Club. Apparently, an unknown party has started setting club members' cars on fire, and it’s up to players to stop this. Despite its straightforward nature, the mission has a particular complexity that players need to consider.

Stealing The Tula

First, go to the LSIA to steal a Tula (an aerial firefighting plane) from the coast guard before the fire department is able to respond to the situation. When players arrive at the airport, around 10 Coast Guard members are patrolling the area. Players will notice stealth visibility cones in their minimaps, all from the Coast Guard members. Players need to steal the Tula quietly, as getting spotted will give players 2 Stars in Wanted levels.

Once players do steal the Tula, they will notice a new part of the HUD: a “Water Remaining” gauge. Players need to land on water periodically to refill it, and should do so until they have around eight water gauges. This serves as “water bombs” to wipe out the fire in the garage. After filling up the bars, players will get a text message warning them to stay out of this problem.

Putting Out Fires

Players will notice eight burning cars when they arrive at the country club, all of which they have to extinguish. This becomes challenging as Kkangpae try to destroy the Tula from the ground. The added challenge here is that players only have five minutes to save all these vehicles.

When players finish this segment, the Captain will tell players that they need to go to the Pipeline Inn nearby to save yet another set of vehicles. This time around, players need to save six more vehicles within another five minutes while enemies try to destroy the Tula. After putting out all the fires, the Captain will tell players to bring the Tula back to the yacht for disposal. The mission ends when the player lands the Tula near the yacht.

Despite the difficulty of the mission, failing and restarting does get players next to the Tula without any enemies present. This allows them to simply load the Tula with water and proceed with the rest of the mission.

In the fourth mission, the Captain has begun formulating a plan for exacting vengeance against the Kkangpae for the previous mission’s kidnapping. This becomes a more action-packed take on the questline, akin to more standard missions in the title.

First, players have to go to the Fridgit Cold Storage warehouse inside the Cypress Flats. The mission will tell them to destroy all AC units that maintain the temperature of the gang’s products. During this part of the mission, the Kkangpae will attack players from Frogger choppers from the skies and from other rooftops. Players new to GTA Online need to be careful here, as they might be overwhelmed.

Next, players are asked to steal Benson, a product that the gang is currently preparing to deliver. The Captain will then tell players to deliver the product to the buyer themselves. During the process of delivery, the Kkangpae will still try to chase and attack the players from various directions and from different vehicles. The buyer is located in Del Perro’s Hedera Hotel, in an alley behind the structure. The mission is completed after players exit the vehicle.

Bon Voyage takes place during a heavy thunderstorm. At the start of this mission, the Captain tells players that the heavy rain has shut down both yacht’s engines and generators. Even the power onboard will go down, and the helicopter aboard the expensive GTA Online yacht explodes while waves of enemies slowly arrive.

The yacht usually has anti-aircraft systems, but the lack of electricity means they’re non-functional. Only the players are able to defend the yacht. This is perhaps the most difficult confrontation in the questline. Enemies will be coming from multiple fronts: enemies already onboard, those arriving from the sea, and those rappelling down from choppers.

There will be three waves of enemies of progressing difficulty. Unfortunately, players won’t be able to enter the interior of the yacht. However, players will continuously see Body Armor and Health pack pickups on the top deck just outside the bridge’s entry to give them the occasional boost.

After the second wave, the Captain will realize that the attackers are once again the Kkangpae. When players reach the third wave, the Captain will finally get power back on the yacht and activate the defenses. This gives players an offensive boost, as the Captain will be able to handle threats from the skies. After players clear the remaining threats from the boats and on the ground, they will finally complete the mission.

Grand Theft Auto Online was released for the PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.

GTA Online Yacht Missions And Payouts

GTA Online offers a wide variety of mission chains and quests, providing players with the opportunity to earn substantial rewards. Among these missions are the Yacht missions, which are part of the "A Superyacht Life series" and become available after purchasing a Yacht.

To assist you in completing these missions and obtaining the associated rewards, we have provided a comprehensive breakdown below. We will outline the specifics of each Yacht mission, explain the payout structure, and reveal the rewards you can expect upon completion.

GTA Online - All Yacht Missions

As part of the Los Santos Summer Special update in Grand Theft Auto Online, players can engage in a series of six missions called " A Superyacht Life. " These missions are assigned by Brendan Darcy, the captain of the player's Galaxy Super Yacht, and can be played by a group of 1 to 4 players.

Below are the descriptions of all six of these Yacht missions in GTA Online:

Mission 1: Overboard

Captain Darcy alerts the player that the yacht's jetskis and important documents, which establish both the Captain and the player as permanent residents of international waters, have been stolen. The player is instructed to proceed to the Vespucci Canals, where the joyriders were last spotted. Eliminating the thieves in this area can be challenging, but it offers decent cover and strategic shooting positions.

The Captain reveals that the culprits are members of the Puerto Del Sol yacht club, prompting the player to seek revenge. The next objective is to head to the yacht club and sink the 10 boats docked there. Time is of the essence, as a boat may attempt to escape. Sink them all, and the mission will be completed.

Mission 2: Salvage

Brendan Darcy informs the player about a distress call from a sunken supply ship nearby. They are directed to a dredge barge to collect the sunken cargo around the wrecked Olifantus ship.

After retrieving the cargo, the player returns to find the yacht invaded by the Kkangpae. They eliminate the hijackers and receive a call from Brendan, who reveals he and the bartender have been taken hostage. The player rescues them while fending off attackers and returns to the yacht.

Mission 3: All Hands

Brendan alerts the player about a problematic business deal at the Pacific Country Club. They must steal firefighting planes from LSIA to extinguish cars set on fire by club members. Guards at the airport trigger a 2-star wanted level until the Tula is acquired.

After refueling in the air and receiving a threatening text message, the player heads to the country club. They extinguish burning vehicles while fending off Kkangpae attacks. There's a 5-minute time limit for each task. Brendan mentions additional fires at the Pipeline Inn. Returning the Tula to the yacht concludes the mission. Failing restarts at the LSIA hangar without enemies.

Mission 4: Icebreaker

Brendan Darcy devises a revenge plan against the Kkangpae for kidnapping him. The player destroys air-conditioning units at the Fridgit Cold Storage warehouse and steals the prepared product.

The player must deliver the goods while fending off Kkangpae attacks. The mission ends when the player reaches the buyer in an alley behind the Hedera Hotel in Del Perro.

Mission 5: Bon Voyage

The mission starts with a stormy setting as the yacht's systems fail. Enemies attack from different directions, including onboard, in Dinghies, and from Buzzards. Brendan reveals that the attackers are the Kkangpae, the gang that previously kidnapped him.

The player defends the yacht through three waves of enemies. Brendan restores power and requests the player to eliminate remaining foes on foot and in boats. The mission ends after completing this task.

Mission 5: D-Day

Brendan informs the player about the boss of a money laundering outfit staying on a heavily defended yacht. He suggests using a Kraken submersible to sneak past their defenses. The sub is located near a barge, close to the rival yacht's defensive zone patrolled by Dinghies.

While operating the sub, the player must stay low to avoid detection and navigate through underwater mines. A detection meter shows the player's visibility to the yacht's defenses, while a depth meter indicates their underwater level. Staying at a safe depth of around 275-350ft is crucial. The surrounding area is patrolled by boats, so the player must remain submerged.

Approaching the yacht's vicinity, the player resurfaces and boards the ship, engaging multiple enemies onboard. After eliminating all enemies, the boss tries to escape in a helicopter. The player must give chase, with the helicopter being escorted by two others. Dinghies also join the pursuit. The escort helicopters have gunners armed with RPGs. The target helicopter's health is displayed on-screen. Once the helicopter is destroyed and the boss is killed, Brendan suggests collecting the bounty on the boss's head, concluding the mission.

GTA Online - Yacht Missions Payouts

Currently, we don't have an exact number for the payout of each of these missions, since they depend on other factors such as the rank you play at and the amount of time the mission takes. However, we can say that the payout will be around the $38,000 mark (adjusting for the 25% increase thanks to the recent update), as after they are all complete, players will earn the Captain's Outfit as a souvenir.

It’s handy to escape low Wanted levels, so give it a try!

14. Boat-Mobile

When someone mentions amphibious vehicles, the average person will think of a car or bike that can also float on water like a boat.

But what about a boat that can also drive on land?

The Boat-Mobile is, at the same time, one of the most ridiculous and extraordinary custom vehicles I’ve ever seen.

On water, it looks like any other small boat – on land, it’s a sailor’s idea of a monster truck.

13. Shark Jet-Ski

But if you’re looking for something truly absurd, you can’t go wrong with the Shark Jet-Ski.

Imagine the fear in local law enforcement’s eyes when they see a total madman approaching on a giant shark! They might just run away instead of chasing after you.

Riding on this beast reminds me of playing Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire and riding my Sharpedo by using Surf – though this might be a little bit larger.

12. Rapid Boat

Enough with the joke boats. Let’s get into the good stuff!

Called simply the “Rapid Boat,” this graceful vessel is all about speed and style.

With enough space for only a small squad and maybe some duffle bags full of cash, this boat is perfect for a successful criminal who dabbles in smuggling.

It’ll get you and the team from point A to point B in no time, and you’ll look like a true professional as you approach the coast.

11. Aeroboat SV12 (2018)

Some people like to ride the waves.

Others want to cut through them like a hot knife through butter.

The Aeroboat SV12 flies over the waters like an arrow thanks to its sharp, thin body shape and mighty V12 Rolls-Royce engine refitted from – get ready – a WW2 British Spitfire fighter aircraft.

If it’s good for fighting fascists, it’ll be great for eluding the somewhat heavy-handed police of the San Andreas state.

While there has been a slight shift throughout the years, it’s evident to everybody that the mainstream gaming industry makes games primarily for a Western audience.

One way non-American or European gamers have to bring some of their personal spice to their favorite games is through modding – and the Thai Zing boat is a beautiful example.

To call it “maritime” might be a bit of a stretch.

Hovercrafts are commonly seen in swamps, shallow rivers, and coastal waters. Take one to the high seas, and the chances of getting blown away or capsized by a large wave are close to 100%.

Luckily, GTA 5 doesn’t have realistic wind physics or anything of the sort – so the sleek Nagasaki Vortex can comfortably operate like any other boat.

7. USS Missouri

The polar opposite of the light and juvenile Nagasaki Vortex would be something cumbersome, unwieldy, and definitely not meant to transport a single person.

It would be something like the USS Missouri.

The Missouri – also known as the BB-63 – is an Iowa-class battleship introduced toward the end of World War 2. It was used to rain devastation on the Japanese islands of Iwo Jima and Okinawa in 1945, and later continued to see action during the Korean War between 1950 and 1953.

Now, it comes to the coasts of Los Santos to inspire the populace with its massive figure sailing slowly against the sunset.

6. US Bogue-Class Escort Carrier

Another massive chunk of metal assembled during WW2 that’ll make a great addition to the waters of San Andreas state is the Bogue-Class Escort Carrier.

Finally, you can reenact the original Top Gun!

With a detailed model, gorgeous textures, and accurate specs – from size to top speed – this add-on will turn the waters of Los Santos and Blaine County into a World of Warships match.

This mod includes ten different liveries representing multiple specific carriers, including the USS Bogue, the USS Copahee, the USS Nassau, and the USS Breton.

5. The Batboat

Everyone knows about the Batmobile – but had you heard about the Batboat?

Gotham City’s law enforcement seems chronically out-of-their-depth when it comes to any and all criminal activity, and the Coast Guard isn’t any better.

So, of course, Batman has a bad-ass boat.

This version lacks the original’s ability to submerge itself, but it looks terrific while speeding over the waves off the coast of Los Santos.

Hopefully Batman won’t mind you taking it for a ride.

GTA 6: Live updates as publisher Take-Two announces layoffs

Grand Theft Auto 6 is still at least another nine months away but gamers are aching to know every detail they can - and there hasn't been a shortage of leaks, rumours and theories.

One report says GTA 6 could be delayed to 2026 as a fallback option with Fall 2025 now being targeted by employees at Rockstar.

That's after reports suggested development falling behind is the reason why the majority of employees have been called back to the office full-time but it's led to a backlash from some workers.

Since Rockstar posted the trailer for GTA 6 in early December, after it was leaked online , social media has been a hotbed for theories about when exactly the game will be released, when further details such as trailers will be announced, what will be in the game itself and loads more.

It's no surprise really given that Grand Theft Auto 5 was widely recognised as the best game of the last decade - it came out in 2013 and is still popular with gamers today as Rockstar continues to release GTA Online updates.

Below is a roundup of some of the most recent leaks, rumours and discussions, and this will continue to be updated, so keep checking back for the latest.

Reaction to Take-Two layoffs

GTA 6 Subreddit users have been reacting to the news of Take-Two layoffs.

While it's reported some 2K staff will be cut, it's not known at this stage if it will affect Rockstar or GTA 6 .

There has been no official confirmation from Take-Two on how it will cut five per cent of its workforce at the time of writing.

Visara57 said: "The only way I expect cuts on Rockstar staff is if the game is basically finished and they don'tneed those people anymore."

Hope for 'eerie back alleys'

One Reddit user has posted in the GTA 6 Subreddit saying 'I hope GTA 6 has these eerie back alleys that were lacking in GTA 5 '.

Accompanying the post is a clip of gameplay from GTA 4 .

Map 'bigger than last five games combined'

GTA 6 map is rumored to be bigger than GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, GTAIV and GTAV maps combined, featuring several cities and more interiors than ever.\n\nRockstar describes it as the \u201cbiggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet.\u201d — (@)

The map of Leonida, a fictional state based on Florida, in GTA 6 is said to be 'bigger than GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA 4 and GTA 5 maps combined'.

The mapping project, a community that's piecing together what Leonida is likely to look like based on co-ordinates from the trailer, leaks and widespread speculation, recently added the 'panhandle' to its latest version.

If that's included, what's already speculated to be a huge map will be even bigger.

A comparison of that updated map with the ones of the previous five Rockstar Games has been posted online to show its scale.

'Collectors Edition' discussion

A Reddit user has posted in the GTA 6 Subreddit a theory of what could be in a 'Collectors Edition' of GTA 6 if Rockstar decides to release one.

awesomea04 posted a fan-made concept with the caption: "Featuring: GTA VI on PS5 or Xbox Series X, exclusive steelbook, Welcome to... Leonida travel guide, social media popsocket, green and red bandanas based on the characters Jason and Lucia, Hotel Dixon do not disturb double-sided sign, Fred's World annual pass badge, all inside a party cooler."

It's got a number of users commenting.

DoeDon404 said: "Love the idea of in-game branded coolers being the main container. The travel book reminds me of 3D era GTA booklets, Vice City's was themed as a brochure."

Take-Two announces layoffs, scraps projects

Rockstar Games

Take-Two Interactive Software will lay off around five per cent of its workforce, or around 600 employees.

It said it will also scrap several projects in development as part of a cost-reduction plan, which is expected to result in total charges of up to $200m, but declined to name the projects which will be chopped.

It's unknown if this will specifically affect Rockstar and development of GTA 6 at this stage.

The move is expected to save more than $165m per year, Take-Two has said.

Office space will also be reduced.

Take-Two is a holding company that owns developers Rockstar, 2K and now Gearbox in a deal that was recently announced for $460m.

It isn't the first in the industry to make cuts like this - Riot Games, Electronic Arts Japan's Sony Corp have all trimmed their workforces this year due to uncertain spending from consumers after the pandemic-era boom.

Boiled_Thought said: "If the 2nd trailer focuses on Jason as much as the first trailer focused on Lucia, instead of one word we will hear him say like 14, and like 3 more seconds of screentime. Heck yeah."

GTA 6 'could save the gaming industry' says expert - video

In a recent interview, Steven Ogg and Ned Luke revealed that throughout their time working on GTA, Rockstar had actually planned to create a \u201cMaking of GTA 5\u201d documentary that would have followed the development of the game. \n\nI really wish that this idea had seen the light of\u2026 — (@)

Cast members of GTA 5 recently revealed Rockstar had filmed footage for a behind-the-scenes documentary of the game - but 'never did anything with it'.

Ned Luke (Michael De Santa), Shawn Fonteno (Franklin Clinton) and Steven Ogg (Trevor Phillips) did a rare appearance together with the service Streamily.

Fans could request their autographs on various prints and watch them sign it - as part of this, they also did a live Q&A.

And in a clip that's been posted online, the cast revealed a behind-the-scenes documentary was in the works.

Ned said: "It was nuts to me they had that behind-the-scenes camera going the whole time and they never did anything with it."

Steven said: "I think at one point, didn't we discuss how cool it would be to have 'the making of' so we could have a documentary on the making of GTA ?"

Popular Miami Vice meme

A meme of a classic scene from the hit 80s TV show Miami Vice is proving popular in the GTA 6 Subreddit.

The post by dlovan666 is called 'me and bro when GTA 6 Online releases' and has more than 1k upvotes at the time of writing.

The Miami Vice scene from the very first episode shows Detective James Crockett (played by Don Johnson) and Detective Ricardo Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) cruising in a convertible at night to the soundtrack of Phil Collins' In the Air Tonight .

Detective Tubbs then loads a sawn-off shotgun as Detective Crockett asks: "How much time we got?"

Detective Tubbs responds: "25 minutes."

Full PS5 Pro details leaked

The full specs of Sony's upcoming mid-generation update, the PS5 Pro, have been leaked online.

Insider Gaming previously said a number of 'leaks' had been confirmed by sources, such as support for 8k gameplay, 45 per cent faster and have four times better ray tracing, a method for producing visual images constructed in 3D computer graphics environments.

The new console is also reported to be released in 'holiday 2024', so sometime between Thanksgiving and New Year.

Now The Verge has confirmed it's full steam ahead for Sony and games developers for the PS5 Pro as it has obtained 'a full list of specs for the upcoming console'.

The report says: "Codenamed Trinity, the PS5 Pro model will include a more powerful GPU and a slightly faster CPU mode.

"All of Sony's changes point to a PS5 Pro that will be far more capable of rendering games with ray tracing enabled or hitting higher resolutions and frame rates in certain titles."

It's reported Sony has indicated PS5s will continue to be sold alongside PS5 Pros, with existing games patched for higher performances yet urging developers to keep in mind their games will have to run well on both consoles.

Gamers 'happy' GTA 6 has modern setting

Gamers on the GTA 6 Subreddit have said they are 'happy' GTA 6 is set in modern times, even if it does throw back to the 80s on occasion as GTA: Vice City was set then.

AnimeGokuSolos got the discussion started, posting: "I want Rockstar to make fun of modern day stuff for this game, which they will. They wouldn't do so if it took place in the 80s again."

beezy604 said: "Yeah I feel like it's a good basis to have the game set in modern times but have that 80s style it'll work super well."

Anti_Sociall said: "It would be nice to get an 80s single player DLC, but that's probably not going to happen."

One user said: "My only complaint about modern times is the extreme use of the cell phone for the radio buddy system. I really didn't mind playing games where someone isn't yakking in my ear for the whole mission."

Employees return to office

April 15 is the day the majority of Rockstar employees have been told they must return to the office to work there five-days-a-week.

When the decision was told to them on February 28, it didn't go down well, and some publicly lashed out at the decision.

Employees claimed the move does not make sense because when they were working on Red Dead Redemption 2 , although they would be in the office, they would be working remotely with other studios and departments anyway and say GTA 5 was made almost entirely remotely.

But it's reported Rockstar is forcing this through to issue productivity and security concerns after a major leak of unfinished portions of GTA 6 came in 2022 and the trailer leak that was posted online hours before it was due to be officially released.

Insane GTA 6 trailer details discovered in real-life Florida remake

Behind-the-scenes footage of a real-life remake of the GTA 6 trailer has uncovered insane levels of detail in it, from how buildings are connected down to the correct positioning of lifeguard towers on Miami Beach.

Andrew Levitt and Jacob Phillips have previously recreated digital content in real life, such as the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer, Apple MacOS wallpapers and the Windows XP wallpaper.

Andrew posted a video on his YouTube channel eight months ago to say he would not be uploading any more videos and would be posting different content on another account.

But he recently posted a behind-the-scenes video for a real-life remake of the trailer, also on his channel, explaining that because of the amount of hype around the GTA 6 trailer, he had to "come out of retirement" to make this.

Honour system discussion

A discussion is ongoing on the GTA 6 Subreddit if players want to see an honour system introduced.

An honour system is featured in Red Dead Redemption 2 , meaning there are consequences for actions players perform during the game, earning them a high or low honour.

High honour leads to reduced prices, better loot, and more outfits whereas low honour yields more loot and other discounts.

AnimeGokuSolos posted and kicked off the discussion, and said: "Imagine playing as a low honour Lucia or a high honour Jason? I think it'd be interesting."

It's got people talking online.

This is in reference to the 2022 leaks where a number of early development gameplay videos were leaked, totalling around an hour in footage.

The user goes on to ask if others are happy about this or if they want to have a bigger selection available at all times like in GTA 5 .

Leak 'no-one is talking about'

Reddit user reef_fart has posted a feature that's been 'leaked' in the GTA 6 Subreddit which 'no-one is talking about'.

The user has noticed players will have the ability to prone - in other words lay down on the floor.

The post said: "Most people who watched those leaked videos came across the moment with Jason crawling on the ground, well, it looks a lot like a regular cutscene, but you can also find a moment where Jason actually lies down at the developer's command, (hold L3 button btw) which tells us that this is a full-fledged mechanic."

It's not something that's ever been used in the GTA series before.

ThisIsaGoodIdea said: " You may have not seen all the leaks. That 'cutscene' of him crawling on the ground is only one of two videos I know of that features him prone. There's another leak of Jason in some sort of test arena with the white and black squares. It shows him going from standing, to crouched, to prone a few times. So yes it's a feature."

GTA 6 'could save the gaming industry' says expert

A video games expert thinks " GTA 6 might be the game to save the gaming industry" because of its expected popularity, the sheer amount of money that's gone into it and market trends it is likely to show when released in 2025.

Given 2024 is expected to be a quiet year for the gaming industry, one expert thinks GTA 6 can help save it.

George Osborn is the creator of Video Games Industry Memo and the managing director of Half-Space Consulting with 15 years' experience in the industry having also studied at the University of Cambridge.

When asked by Indy100 about just how big the release of GTA 6 will be, George said: " GTA 6 might be the game to save the games industry, it's the game to restore confidence in it."

A Reddit user has posted the GTA 5 map on top of the updated GTA 6 map put together by the mapping project community - and the size difference looks huge.

Skywrpp's post shows the community's GTA 6 map, with the 'panhandle' now included, appears to be three-to-four times bigger.

And those in the GTA 6 Subreddit are getting even more impatient for the game.

Reddit user BrendaTheSloth has sparked a discussion in the GTA 6 Subreddit, saying "I hope we get to see more realistic arrests unfolding with NPCs instead of just a gunfight".

It's got people commenting.

GTA 4 DJ dies

DJ Mister Cee, the co-host of "The Beat 102.7" in Grand Theft Auto 4, has died aged 57, his station HOT 97 is reported as saying on April 10.

Mister Cee, whose real name was Calvin LeBrun, had spent 21 years with HOT 97 and had a show called Throwback at Noon .

He had worked with artists like Notorious B.I.G. and Big Daddy Kane, and produced the Biggie Smalls album Ready to Die.

Big hip-hop and rap names such as 50 Cent, MC Lyte and DJ Jazzy Jeff have been paying tribute to him.

'GTA 6 trailer but it's GTA: Vice City Stories'

Reddit user BullyGuireStudios has posted a video in the GTA 6 Subreddit of what a trailer for GTA: Vice City Stories could look like in the style of GTA 6 .

GTA: Vice City Stories released on PSP in 2006 and PS2 in 2007 and is a prequel to GTA: Vice City which follows the exploits of ex-soldier Victor "Vic" Vance.

Others are amazed at how much graphics have improved since that game was released.

Subject_Passenger_22 has asked: "Do you think Rockstar will improve story mode's longevity? If so what needs to improve?"

The user goes on to say 'in 5 , after you hear the story there's pretty much nothing to do'.

GTA+ subscription price hike

The cost of Rockstar's premium subscription service has gone up for the first time since it launched more than two years ago.

GTA+ now costs £6.99, $7.99 or €7,99 a month on both the PlayStation and Xbox stores, up from £4.99, $5.99 and €5,99 for new members.

Existing members won't experience this rise until June.

It comes as the service now has two exclusive locations in GTA Online plus full price games like Red Dead Redemption and the GTA: Trilogy included with Bully and LA Noire being added later this year.

New map with 'panhandle' revealed

The GTA 6 mapping project has been updated

A new update has been posted by the GTA 6 mapping project community adding details as to what players can expect in the fictional state of Leonida, based on Florida.

It's a group that's piecing together what the in-game map is likely to look like from co-ordinates in the trailer, leaks and widespread speculation.

The latest big update is the addition of Florida's 'panhandle'.

DuPz0r created the map with others contributing and in an update posted April 12, DuPz0r said: "The main layer, a map born on top of the data that the community has analysed, plus some speculation."

The update was posted in the GTA 6 Subreddit too.

One user said: "Oh man, those drive across the map missions from GTA Online are going to be brutal."

Ant0n61 said: "Whoa, panhandle..."

Double money and 4x RP on some GTA Online missions

Rockstar has posted an update for GTA Online on its newswire .

Executive bonuses are in place through April 17.

Double rewards are available on special cargo sales and mixed goods, with a GTA $100,000 bonus for completing any sell mission.

Double money and 4x RP are available on any Martin Madrazo contact missions too.

There's double money and RP in 'Collection Time' with new vehicles available in-game along with more discounts on other items too.

Weapon cleaning

Gregory Connors is the latest actor speculated to be playing Jason in GTA 6 .

A screenshot posted online showed he had included a lead voiceover role at Rockstar for 'TBD (2025 release)' on his CV.

It's understood this has since been removed, leading a number of social media users to speculate that Gregory will play Jason.

Troy Baker recently shut down any speculation that it's him.

It's widely rumoured Manni L. Perez will play Lucia and she recently said: "I've been transitioning my career into voiceover and motion capture."

RPG discussion

A discussion is taking place on the GTA 6 Subreddit if people want to see more RPG elements included.

Lucia 'shortest' main GTA protagonist

Reddit user ETkach has posted in the GTA 6 Subreddit saying Lucia will be the 'shortest' main protagonist.

The post claims 'judging by the leaks, she appeared shorter, her height is roughly 5'3"'.

Other social media users have been commenting on the post.

LoverLeaver said: "Rockstar probably design a unique fighting style for Lucia, different from Jason. Jason probably would follow similar to RDR2's (Red Dead Redemption 2) fighting mechanic."

It includes all videos posted online in September 2022.

Also included is the leaked version of the trailer.

The videos appear to have dates on them too, showing what stage of development Rockstar was at when the videos were made.

'Alien' spotted in trailer

An 'alien' has been spotted in the GTA 6 trailer

It's claimed an 'alien' has been spotted in the GTA 6 trailer.

A screenshot has been posted online of what appears to be a character with no definition at all compared to other NPCs around it - NPCs that are further away from the shot are much more detailed than this one.

Rockstar has a history of including aliens and UFOs in their games - starting with references in GTA: San Andreas and they've become much more prominent in more recent titles such as GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 .

X / Twitter user @GTAVI_Countdown said: "The character could also be a poorly rendered NPC but multiple references of UFOs were found in world events list leaked in 2022, so we should expect to see them return in Vice City."

Reddit user counts number of birds in trailer

A Reddit user has posted screenshots from the GTA 6 trailer - showing the number of birds that can be seen.

_dragoninmyanus says 122 birds can be seen across 10 different scenes, including 66 in the shot including flamingoes alone.

It was posted with the caption "I wonder what Rockstar meant by this".

In among the ridicule, Jason8ourne said: "12/02/2025 then????!!!"

Fans demand second trailer from Rockstar

Rockstar has Tweeted a promo for Red Dead Online - but it's led to a number of users demanding a second trailer for GTA 6 to be released.

The majority of comments aren't about Red Dead Online at all - they're instead calling for more GTA 6 content.

@GameRollGTA replied: "Show us Trailer 2 or else."

@MrDwein replied: "Where's the trailer 2?"

@4gntt replied: " GTA 6 Trailer 2."

@JasonfromGTAVI replied: "I'm not asking for trailer 2. I'm demanding it."

GTA 6 DLC discussion

A discussion is ongoing in the GTA 6 Subreddit as to if there will be DLC for GTA 6 .

Discussion around this might be seem premature, given the game itself isn't out until 2025, but while GTA Online has had regular updates since it launched in 2013, no single-player DLC for GTA 5 has been released.

Rockstar has instead encouraged players to play GTA Online if they are to carry on enjoying new content.

There was no DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2 either.

There was for Red Dead Redemption , in the form of Undead Nightmare , and this was an extension to the single-player experience as John Marston tries to find a cure for the highly infectious undead plague that has spread.

The post in the Subreddit has got people talking.

Location of trailer shot found in real-life

The real-life location seems to have been found of a scene from the GTA 6 trailer.

The shot in question is the one of a blonde woman in a white bikini at a pool party on the top floor of what appears to be a block of luxury apartments.

Askii_78 posted in the GTA 6 Subreddit an image of a building in Florida that looks just like the one where the blonde woman is.

Reddit users are impressed the location seems to have been found and the level of detail from Rockstar.

One user said: "I don't even think this is anywhere significant."

Automatic_Concern951 said: "I am amazed how do people even find these places... I mean... Bro found that one building sitting anywhere in Florida."

Lucia 'actor' confirms career transition

The actor widely rumoured to be playing Lucia in GTA 6 has said she is 'transitioning' her career in a video posted in the GTA 6 Subreddit.

SalvatorWithoutMundi posted a clip of Manni L. Perez being interviewed.

In the video, she said: "Right now, I've been transitioning my career into voiceover and motion capture."

Manni L. Perez has already done voiceover work for Rockstar in GTA Online .

William Popp to play Jason?

Speculation continues to swirl as to who will play Jason in GTA 6 .

A number of names have been linked, with The Last of Us , Uncharted and Batman games actor Troy Baker recently confirming it's not him.

A clip of William Popp in Law & Order has been posted on the GTA 6 Subreddit by one user asking: "Think this is our guy?"

William Popp has previously done voice acting for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 .

A Rockstar employee says in their opinion, "any masterpiece, even a game with poor image quality, is a huge challenge to XSS (Xbox Series S)".

Hailin Si, who is a senior material artist at Rockstar North, the division that makes the GTA franchise, was asked on a Chinese social media app if GTA 6 will run stably at 30 fps on the console.

In screenshots posted online, Hailin also said: "I personally won't play with this thing, even if it's for free."

The translation was done via Google.

Second trailer details 'leaked'?

It's widely speculated the second trailer for GTA 6 could drop either close to a Rockstar earnings call or around the time the 'big' summer update for GTA Online is released.

Looking at when some of the previous earnings calls were for Rockstar, Q4 2023 earnings were announced in a conference call on May 17, Q1 2024 earnings call came on August 8 and Q2 2024 call was on November 8.

There was also an annual shareholders meeting on September 21 2023.

If the earnings call theory is to be believed, that means a second GTA 6 trailer or new information about the game could drop as soon as mid-May with further updates coming around August time.

It's not known when exactly the GTA Online update will be released other than in the summer so both an earnings call and that update could coincide at the same to create an even bigger buzz around Rockstar and GTA 6 .

Xbox president teases 'biggest leap' for next-gen console

The president of Xbox has teased "the biggest technological leap ever seen in a generation" to her team in an email that's been leaked.

Windows Central received the email sent by Sarah Bond to her team which has since been confirmed as genuine by Microsoft .

As well as work on a next-gen console, the site claims Sarah also revealed a dedicated team has been set up to future-proof digital Xbox game libraries and that Diablo 4's most prominent platform is Xbox since it was included on Xbox Game Pass.

She sent out an email to 'rally the troops' according to the site.

Strip club excitement

A popular yet controversial feature of GTA games is the inclusion of strip clubs.

Players can take characters to watch women in lingerie pole dance, get private dances, interact with them while these go on and even take them home.

It looks as though this will be bigger than ever in GTA 6 if the trailer is anything to go by and social media users on the GTA 6 Subreddit have been sharing their excitement and what they're looking forward to this time around.

41 Easter eggs spotted in 'leaked' logo

The logo from company celebrations in December 2023, which looks like a modified version of the usual one, appeared to have made its way online.

And the account has noticed a total of 41 Easter eggs in a Twitter thread, ranging from the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption series to Bully , LA Noire and Manhunt .

'Everybody is raving about' new Rockstar producer

Reddit user prowantedz has posted a screenshot in the GTA 6 Subreddit showing what appears to be former Rockstar developer Obbe Vermeij praising a new producer at Rockstar North, the division that develops the Grand Theft Auto series.

The screenshot shows X / Twitter user @phantomkick asking if GTA 6 will have the same 'pull' as GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) with two senior producers leaving since those games released.

Obbe is screenshotted as saying: "There is a new producer at North that everybody there is raving about (I forgot his name). He is managing 6 together with Aaron Garbut. I'm sure they'll do a great job."

It seems this Tweet has since been deleted.

It's been speculated the producer is Rob Nelson who was one of the developers for RDR2 and has been at Rockstar since the development of GTA 4 .

'Lucia' voice comparison

A Reddit user has posted a voice comparison of what appears to be the same voice from an NPC in GTA Online and Lucia in GTA 6 .

It's widely speculated that Manni L. Perez is playing the role of Lucia - her CV reportedly says she has done voiceover work for GTA 5 which seems to be what's being compared in the video.

Ill_Natural_7723 posted the comparison in the GTA 6 Subreddit which has got people talking.

Latest GTA Online DLC trailer is second most viewed

The trailer for the latest GTA Online story update is now the second most viewed.

Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid update landed in March and with hype surrounding the Grand Theft Auto series since the first trailer for GTA 6 released, this shows gamers are more than ready for any new GTA content.

At the time of writing, the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid trailer has 15m views, with only The Chop Shop trailer having more at 26m.

The Chop Shop trailer landed just a week after the GTA 6 one, which broke all sorts of YouTube records when it dropped.

Rockstar recently announced there will be a 'big' update coming to GTA Online in the summer.

There have been rumours circulating that Troy Baker is voicing Jason in GTA 6 .

In the trailer, Jason says one word, which is back to Lucia near the end: "Trust."

It's led to speculation that The Last of Us , Uncharted and Batman games actor is playing the lead male protagonist in GTA 6 because their voices are 'similar' if not 'identical' according to some.

But speaking to @themoviedweeb on TikTok, Troy shut down the rumours.

He said: "He says one word!

"That right there is a lesson in perception. People think and they just automatically assume.

"I want that guy, whoever it is, to get credit for his work because I'm sure it's going to be great.

"They deserve all of the credit for their work, not me."

Bermuda Triangle

Reddit user SpeechOk5810 has posted a picture of the Bermuda Triangle in the GTA 6 Subreddit and has asked if it could be a 'boundary thing' or 'something else'.

The Bermuda Triangle is a section of the Atlantic Ocean that stretches between Florida (Leonida is a fiction version of the state which is where GTA 6 will be set), Bermuda and Puerto Rico and it's said to be where a number of aircraft and ships have disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

SpeechOk5810 said the location was mentioned in the leaks.

QBekka said: "I'm guessing it's going to be one of those mysteries just like the UFO in GTA 5 . When you fly over the triangle, there's a tiny chance of something unexplainable happening."

Lottery and Lake Leonida discussion

MithrandirElessar posted two screenshots from the GTA 6 trailer in the Subreddit and it's going others talking.

The first is from when an alligator gets into a shop and it focuses on what looks like a lottery stand with tickets; it says 'a new millionaire every week' on it.

The second is from when Lucia speaks in prison uniform early on in the trailer and the screenshot is of a picture behind her with what looks like a boat on a lake in front of a mountain.

MithrandirElessar asked if the lottery might be able to be played and if the painting is of Lake Leonida, a location speculated that could feature.

Discord's April Fools Day video has accidentally broken the GTA 6 trailer's YouTube record for the most number of views in the first 24 hours of a video being posted that's not music.

Discord is an instant messaging and social platform and posted a video on its YouTube account of 'loot boxes' coming to the app with the caption "why would we ever bring loot boxes into a chat app".

Innocent enough, right?

But the video started recording hundreds of millions of views, completely eclipsing the GTA 6 trailer record - that record was 93 million, and there's a screenshot that shows the Discord video hit 1.4 billion in 22 hours.

It was eventually taken down - but how did it all happen?

YouTuber gets Red Dead Redemption 2 working on phone

A YouTuber has managed to get Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 working on a mobile phone.

Serg Pavlov appears to be testing the RedMagic 9 Pro, an Android gaming smartphone.

While he's got the game to run, in the caption it says 'the game works very poorly, low FPS, texture bugs, stuttering sound'.

Hype for car customisation

A Reddit user has posted a gif of the car meet scene from the GTA 6 trailer and is hyped for how players will be able to customise cars.

Customising vehicles has been a long standing and popular feature in the Grand Theft Auto series.

DemiPyramid posted in the GTA 6 Subreddit saying 'this is so authentic it doesn't even look like it's from a game. It seems car customisation will be the most extensive it's ever been too'.

And other Reddit users are hyped for it as well.

There have been a number of conflicting reports if GTA 6 will release in early 2025 or Fall - there's even been reports to say 2026 could be a fallback option if development is severely delayed.

The only official date Rockstar has given of 2025 has come from the first trailer, which dropped four months ago.

Rockstar publishes new 'community guidelines'

In an update on the Rockstar newswire, the developer has published a new set of 'community guidelines' for GTA Online .

The developer says: "These guidelines outline what behaviour and actions we do not allow, as more fully detailed in our Terms of Service, and will be updated periodically to reflect any ongoing changes to the player experience."

Players are urged to report behaviour that falls foul of not being fair, respectful or safe.

Examples of this include cheating, griefing (intentionally annoying another player or interfering with their experience and progress by using the game in unintended ways) and any kind of abuse.

Concept cover art praised online

Reddit user Mean_Rent_2156 shared in the GTA 6 Subreddit a picture of concept art it seems they have hand drawn.

Imagine how previous GTA covers look - each one having a number of different stylised images of main characters or events.

Mean_Rent_2156 has shared how they think the GTA 6 artwork could look with that in mind, including drawings of Jason, Lucia, the Florida Joker and even an alligator in sunglasses - and it's gone down incredibly well with 1.3k upvotes in 15 hours at the time of writing.

PapaYoppa said: "Gotta respect it for being hand drawn."

spacecowboy2099 said: "The actual cover art better have an alligator with sunglasses."

Brahmus168 said: "So help me god if there isn't a gator on the cover art..."

Four months since trailer

It's four months to the day since the first trailer for GTA 6 was released.

Rockstar planned to share it on December 5 2023 but released it a day early after it was leaked.

And on a GTA 6 Subreddit post users have been reacting.

deezzzznutzzzs said: "Damn that was quick, we will be in 2025 in no time."

Subject_Passenger_22 said: "That's crazy I remember going on Twitter and seeing that almost threw my phone in excitement."

Its_buddy_btw said: "It's really true what they say about time speeding up as you get older."

A former Rockstar developer has revealed why planes crashed spontaneously in GTA: San Andreas .

Small planes would fly near the player to do a fly-by - and those who have played the game for hours and hours will no doubt have had experiences of planes crashing near them and in some cases crashing straight into them, causing a huge jump scare.

On X / Twitter, Obbe Vermeij, who worked at Rockstar for more than 10 years before leaving in 2009, said issues with planes spawning and the code itself occasionally caused the problem.

Obbe said: "Before creating the plane, my code looks for obstacles in its path. It scans a number of lines in the forward direction of the plane.

"These scans are slow so I used the absolute minimum. (Just the body and wingtips I believe.) This is why thin obstacles are sometimes not detected."

The post says another developer said there was an actual bug in the code.

Michael actor teases GTA Online appearance

Ned Luke, the actor who played Michael De Santa in GTA 5 , appears to have teased an appearance of the character in Rockstar's 'big' summer update for GTA Online .

The developer announced it in an unexpected update that also said Bully and LA Noire are coming to its premium subscription service, GTA+ , later this year.

GTA Online fans have been wanting Michael to appear in it for years - the other two main GTA 5 characters Trevor Philips and Franklin Clinton have already featured.

And Ned has teased fans they finally might be getting what they want.

Apparent Rockside insider @Nuro_Citrix Tweeted: "It's time for us to receive the long awaited Michael update."

And Ned replied: "Wouldn't that be nice."

Separately, a Tweet from @RStarUniverse said: "Picture this... Michael related DLC... Final mission he escapes to LSIA (Los Santos International Airport), gets a plane and says he's going to Vice City... Would be a great way to tease him in GTA 6 ."

And Shawn Fonteno, who played Franklin, replied to it, saying: "Hmmmm maybe a Michael and Franklin one."

After Rockstar Games announced Bully would be coming to its premium subscription based service later in 2024, the rumour mill about the potential Bully 2 has started back up again.

Bully , also known as Canis Canim Edit , is a 2006 open-world action-adventure game which follows teenager James 'Jimmy' Hopkins who is involuntarily enrolled at boarding school for a year.

Trailer detail praised

A Reddit user has praised a small detail from the GTA 6 trailer.

In one of the early shots, a woman in a white dress can be seen putting her hands in the air while riding in a convertible.

User DemiPyramid says the two characters are Jason and Lucia in the GTA 6 Subreddit post.

And the post has sparked a discussion.

idkiiwla said: "I don't think I've ever been mored hyped to play a game in my 25 years of existence."

Rockstar confirms return of fan favourite games

In an update for GTA+ , Rockstar Games' premium subscription service, the developer announced the return of popular titles Bully and LA Noire .

GTA+ launched around the same time GTA 5 was released on current generation consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, in 2022.

It's a service that gives subscribers exclusive content in GTA Online and a selection of Rockstar titles.

And in a recent update, Rockstar announced Bully and LA Noire are being added later in 2024.

'Most immersive evolution'

A Reddit user has started up a discussion focusing on some of the wording Rockstar has used to promote GTA 6 .

On a pinned Rockstar Instagram post shared by Oath_Br3aker in the GTA 6 Subreddit, the caption for the trailer posted on the social media site says 'the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet'.

And it's led to a discussion as to why that's been included as Oath_Br3aker says Rockstar doesn't 'usually market GTA as immersive'.

Darthlord_Juju said: "Basically just saying there will be more things to do and more ways to stay engaged."

OptimusGrimes said: "It will be the biggest jump in quality for a GTA ever, with every other game coming out the same, or next generation from the previous, this is the first time they've skipped two, so saying it will be the biggest evolution isn't too much of a reach."

The Rockstar logo seen at its 25th anniversary celebrations in December 2023 appears to have been 'leaked' online.

It was a big month for Rockstar - a landmark anniversary, the first GTA 6 trailer and new GTA Online content.

And the logo from company celebrations, a modified version of the usual one, appears to have made its way online after Rockstar announced a 'big' summer update for GTA Online .

It's led X / Twitter users to spot a number of Easter eggs on it, including Chop's tag, the Statue of Liberty, John and Arthur's hats, the girl from the GTA 5 loading screen and even Trevor's teddy bear.

Potential GTA 6 Easter eggs speculated include a flamingo and what appears to be a modified Banshee in the bottom right corner.

'Map outline' on bumper sticker

A Reddit user thinks they've found an outline of the GTA 6 map on a bumper sticker on the back of Jason's car from the trailer.

It looks a lot like the map created by the Mapping Project , a community which is piecing together the map from co-ordinates in the trailer and leaks, and the outline of the Florida state which the fictional Leonida is based on.

And others in the GTA 6 Subreddit agree with Olivr_Ont.

BeCrafttt said: "That looks extremely identical to the map made by the GTA 6 mapping project."

What GTA Online update could mean for GTA 6

Rockstar has teased a 'big' summer update for GTA Online and it hasn't taken long for the speculation to start.

Some have said it will be the final big update before all efforts are put into GTA 6 and others have theorised what could be in it.

X / Twitter user @GTAVI_Countdown said Michael, one of the main protagonists in GTA 5 , is rumoured to be included in the update - he's not yet featured in GTA Online and gamers on Reddit have been calling for this for a while.

Other theories from the account include a second trailer for GTA 6 being likely to drop around the time of the update to drive traffic.

The account says Rockstar did this with the Chop Shop GTA Online update which was revealed a week after the GTA 6 trailer - it's the most viewed GTA Online trailer.

With leaks, rumours and speculation swirling about all things GTA 6 , like when exactly it will be released, delays in development and gameplay 'leaks' appearing online, Rockstar could put all of its eggs in that basket to get it done and released as soon as possible.

PC gamers' frustration at release details

PC gamers have shared frustrations at GTA 6 release details.

The highly-anticipated game is set to be out in 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S - but there are no details at this stage when it will release on PC.

It's led to Reddit user Guimorneg posting a picture of Squidward looking at SpongeBob and Patrick playing outside - and they've been edited to be carrying the GTA 6 logo and PS5 controllers.

Guimorneg posted in the GTA 6 Subreddit along with the caption 'please tell me is not only me' (sic).

And the post has got a lot of reaction and comments.

Mixed views on celebrities in GTA 6

A GTA 6 Subreddit discussion has led to mixed views on which celebrities could feature in the game and if any should feature at all.

A number of high-profile names have already been linked with the game, including musicians T-Pain , Anita Ward and Schoolboy Q - even more could feature with Rockstar owning a record label.

GTA Online has had a range of celebrities featuring post-launch, such as musician Dr Dre releasing an EP exclusively in the game.

GTA 4 also had appearances from comedians such as Ricky Gervais.

But views are mixed on if celebrities featuring are welcome in the Grand Theft Auto series.

Delay rumours 'met with shrugs' from Rockstar employees

It's reported when Rockstar employees were asked what they made of the current rumour mill of delayed development, the response 'was mostly met with shrugs'.

That's according to a report from Bloomberg's Jason Schreier.

It also said: "Last summer, I asked someone at Rockstar how things were going, and they responded with one word: 'chaos'."

It comes as a full-time return to the office for the majority of Rockstar employees comes into effect in less than two weeks' time which has been met with a backlash from some.

The report also says development delays are to be expected with it being a 'messy, nonlinear process'.

Why is GTA 6 publisher laying off 600 employees even after saying they had ‘no current plans’ to do so?

Grand Theft Auto publisher Take-Two Interactive (the parent company of Rockstar Games ) is set to lay off approximately 5% of its workforce, around 600 employees.

This decision comes as part of a broader cost-cutting strategy that also involves cancelling several projects under development.

The announcement was made official when Take-Two filed the necessary paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Tuesday.

The filing indicated that the downsizing process is expected to be “largely complete” by the end of the year 2024.

“As part of these efforts, the Company is rationalizing its pipeline and eliminating several projects in development and streamlining its organizational structure, which will eliminate headcount and reduce future hiring needs,” the document states.

Initially, Take-Two said they had ‘no current plans’ for layoffs

This move by Take-Two is not isolated but rather part of a larger pattern of layoffs that have been sweeping through the gaming industry. Major players such as Sony’s PlayStation, EA, Microsoft Gaming, Riot Games, and Epic Games have all announced reductions in their workforce.

Earlier in February, following a period of mixed financial results for the quarter ending in December 2023, the GTA publisher had already signalled its intention for a “significant” cost reduction plan.

Despite this, CEO Strauss Zelnick had assured that there were “no current plans for layoffs” then.

Zelnick told Variety, “Our biggest line item expense was marketing, so we do have the opportunity to optimize many expenses that don’t involve our headcount: marketing and third party expenses, vendor charges, and the like, can still be optimized.”

“We’re a big company, so we have always prided ourselves on being the most efficient company in the entertainment business.”

Take-Two’s cost-cutting measures are substantial

The company estimates that it will incur charges ranging from $160 to $200 million, with future cash expenditures expected to be between $40 to $60 million.

The breakdown of these charges includes approximately $120 to $140 million attributed to the cancellation of games, $25 to $35 million earmarked for employee severance and related costs, and $15 to $25 million associated with reductions in office space.

Despite these challenges, Take-Two has continued to invest in its portfolio

In March, the company completed the acquisition of Gearbox, the developer behind the ‘Borderlands’ series, for a sum of $460 million.

Plus, the highly anticipated ‘GTA 6’ is projected to be one of the most successful games in history.

GTA 6 is confirmed to return to Vice City, and its trailer has already shown a number of vehicles that'll be available in-game.
GTA 5 featured hundreds of cars to steal, and players can expect even more in GTA 6 , since each entry has expanded the vehicle roster.
Sports bikes, muscle cars, and classic vehicles are making an appearance in GTA 6 .

Grand Theft Auto 6 , after being leaked, has been officially confirmed. This installment will be returning to Vice City and feature new characters, making it feel completely separate from GTA 5 , but still holding onto the aspects that define games in the franchise. Regardless of the setting, however, there will surely be no shortage of cars that characters can hijack and claim as their own.

Considering the name of the franchise, it's no surprise that committing grand theft auto is a staple feature of each game. Additionally, each game in the series has included more cars that characters can steal, with GTA 5 's car count numbering in the hundreds. As such, it's likely that GTA 6 will have an even more staggering number of cars featured in the game.

It looks like the main sources of inspiration for this bike's style come from a combination of designs featured on the Ducati 1199 and EBR 1190RS. Sports bikes are fantastic in GTA for evading arrest and getting to locations quickly. The biggest downside is how easy it is to lose control of a bike in-game while driving, and end up destroying it with a single collision.

9 Ride In Style With The Cheetah Classic

Included in the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer is a glimpse of a returning car: the Grotti Cheetah Classic. This sports car is available in GTA Online as part of a post-launch update, and appears to be returning as part of the base game in GTA 6 . It's meant to be an earlier version of the Cheetah cars seen in-game , and its design takes inspiration from several sports cars.

The primary inspiration for the Cheetah Classic's design comes from the Ferrari Testarossa and Ferrari 328. Then, there are also features on the front that resemble the BMW M1 and Alpine A610. Meanwhile, the back and sides of the car show inspiration from the Ferrari FZ93, Ferrari 365 GT4 BB, and Ferrari 348. All-in-all, the Cheetah Classic is the ultimate mix of various Ferrari types to create one car that feels both modern and classic.

GTA 6 is far from the first time that the Pfister Comet makes an appearance in the franchise's universe. The Comet was included in games as early as Grand Theft Auto: Vice City , and it continued to be added to subsequent games. The Grotti Carbonizzare is another car that's been featured in Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online , and it'll be making a return in GTA 6 . Much like the D10, there's only a glimpse of the Carbonizzare as it appears in GTA 6 's trailer , so looking at its features requires using previous variations.

The primary influence for the Carbonizzare's design comes from the Ferrari F12 and Aston Martin V12 Zagato. However, the version in GTA 6 looks like it includes quite a few differences, such as a more angular body shape. It also seems to take more influence from the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta regarding body shape than seen in the previous game's version.

4 Bring Back The Classics With The Tornado

Fans of classic cars will want to hijack a Declasse Tornado , which is returning in Grand Theft Auto 6 . It includes the style of cars from the '50s, which any hobbyist or collector loves to see. As such, it would be a shame to not hijack one of these cars and explore the city with it, especially since GTA 6 is set in a version of Vice City that'll look better than it did in past games.

The primary inspiration for the Tornado's design comes from Chevrolet Bel Airs produced in the late 1950s. As such, the Tornado is a prime representation of classic sports cars, setting it apart from the more modern options that have much more representation in-game.

A car with the name Outlaw is particularly apt for hijacking, but it comes with a few other benefits as well that can be reaped when it returns in Grand Theft Auto 6 . Unlike a lot of the cars mentioned so far, the Nagasaki Outlaw is an off-road vehicle instead of a muscle or sports car. Since heading off-road is often useful when completing missions, the Outlaw could become a valuable vehicle to take.

The Outlaw is a caged ATV that takes features from the Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo and Yamaha YXZ buggy. The caged top is great in a game like GTA because, instead of flipping a car, the Outlaw rolls back to its proper orientation. This is incredibly useful during missions and chases where time can't be wasted on flipping cars and having to head off-road onto difficult terrain.

2 Control The Roads With A Mixer

There will come a time when taking over the roads with pure force becomes necessary, and that's when the HVY Mixer becomes invaluable. This isn't a sport or muscle car, and it's definitely not designed to be taken off-road . Instead, this beast is a cement mixer that's purely an industrial vehicle, which means that it's only suited for times when force is required.

A cement mixer isn't a glamorous vehicle, and the HVY Mixer in-game definitely isn't either. It's slow, it doesn't handle well, and it tips over easily on hard turns. However, it's great for pushing other vehicles off the road , and there are times when that trait is more valuable than speed or handling. Plus, it's simply fun to drive around in a massive vehicle that can control the roads just by existing.

The house sold for just a hair under $5 million, a healthy jump over the $3.7 million Chu paid for the place just over three years ago. Per records, the buyer is an LLC linked to New Jersey-based real estate developer Robert Paulus.

On the main level, the house offers an airy living room is accented by massive wooden ceiling beams, triangular clerestory windows, a stone fireplace, and two sets of glassy French doors leading to the gardens. Likewise, the formal dining room also sports French doors of its own and a vaulted ceiling, while the adjoining kitchen has a distinctly 2000s flare with speckled granite countertops, plus custom cabinetry and top-of-the-line Wolf and SubZero appliances.

But the real star of the property show are the sprawling, ultra-private grounds, which contain native plantings, a canopy of mature oaks, fields of California poppies, and a fruit/veggie garden with plum, peach, and apricot trees. Various play and picnic areas line the trail to the far rear of the property, where there’s a large swimmer’s pool set into a stone patio, plus a BBQ and spa. Elsewhere on the lot is a detached five-car garage, plus off-street parking for several more vehicles.

Chu, 41, was born and raised by a Taiwanese mother and a Mainland Chinese father in California’s Silicon Valley. Before “Crazy Rich Asians,” he was perhaps best-known for directing the second and third installments of the critically-panned “Step Up” film series, in addition to directing Justin Bieber’s lucrative 2011 and 2013 concert films.

Take-Two Interactive, the gaming company behind franchises like Grand Theft Auto , NBA 2K , and BioShock , has announced cost-cutting measures that will lay off “approximately five percent” of its global workforce and scrap several projects already in development.

The company said in an SEC filing published on Tuesday that it is “streamlining its organizational structure, which will eliminate headcount and reduce future hiring needs.” Take-Two says it will incur charges of up to $200 million to enact its “cost reduction program,” which aims to save the company over $165 million per year. The downsizing efforts are expected to be “largely complete” by December 31st, 2024.

A 5 percent workforce reduction works out to around 579 of the 11,580 employees that Take-Two disclosed in its latest impact report . The company hasn’t specified which teams will be affected or which projects will be dropped. Grand Theft Auto VI , the highly anticipated title expected to launch next year, is likely unaffected.

This announcement from one of the world’s biggest gaming companies is yet another blow to the industry , which has been blighted by mass layoffs since 2023 . Take-Two is also currently in the process of purchasing Borderlands developer Gearbox from Embracer Group for $460 million.
