The Construction & Naval Architecture with respect to Luxury Yacht SECRET LIFE

The yacht's wider design collaboration came from De Voogt Naval Architects. The formal naval architect drawings are the work of De Voogt Naval Architects. the Netherlands is the country that The Feadship De Vries Shipyard built their new build motor yacht in. After the formal launch in 1973 in Aalsmeer the boat was afterwards passed over to the owner after final finishing. Her core hull was crafted from steel. The motor yacht superstructure is made predominantly from aluminium. With a beam of 8.41 metres or 27.6 ft SECRET LIFE has fairly large interior. She has a reasonably shallow draught of 2.9m (9.5ft). She had refit maintenance and alteration work carried out by 2002.

The vessel for its propulsion uses two efficient GM diesel engine(s) and can reach a swift max speed underway of around 16 knots. The main engine of the yacht generates 1060 horse power (or 780 kilowatts). Her total HP is 2120 HP and her total Kilowatts are 1560. Connected to her GM engine(s) are twin screw propellers. For stabalisers she was supplied with Vosper. With respect to thrusters she was built with Schottel. Her industrious cruise speed is 14 knots which gives a range of 3600.

In the master suite there is a settee that can convert into a double bed (measuring 1,40m), which is where the 12th guests on board would sleep. The convertible settee area can be separated from the master cabin with a sliding door. The yachts VIP double cabin has a 1,60m Queen bed and is located on the main deck forward, which can also transform into a cosy salon. The triple and two twin cabins are located on the lower deck and all cabins are equipped with ensuite facilities, a fridge and LCD TV with DVD and CD player.

YACHT MAIN DECK

As soon as you step aboard your SECRET LIFE yacht charter you will be amazed by the main deck aft table, sofa, and chairs which are perfect for socializing, having breakfast, or enjoying the cruise around magical Croatian islands. Moreover, this area is ideal for all 8 guests onboard this yacht for charter and I am sure you will have a lot of amazing stories to tell while sipping your favourite champagne or the best Croatian wine.

On the starboard side of the main deck aft, you will find the stairs that lead to the lovely flybridge, but I will tell you more about it later.

Moving forward on the main deck you will enter through the sliding glass doors to a charming indoor salon.  On the starboard side, you will have a comfortable beige C-shape sofa with a coffee table ideal for reading a book or watching your favourite movie on the TV. Furthermore, just one star up you will arrive at the indoor dining area with a sofa, chairs, and dining table. This dining area is ideal for chilling while the sun is in its zenith.

Next to the sofa, there are stairs that also lead to the beautiful upper deck. In addition, there is the lovely galley, opposite of the dining area, where you or your hostess can prepare whatever you want.

The best thing is that on the main deck you will also have the sofa from where you can watch your captain cruising and where you can ask him whatever you want. The helm station is perfect for chit-chatting with your captain about Croatian islands, culture, or history.

This indoor area has windows from each side so you will have a lot of fresh air and natural light during your yacht charter vacation.

YACHT FLYBRIDGE

The flybridge of this fabulous yacht for charter is extraordinary, mainly due to its size; your friends and family will adore this area. On the starboard side, you have a cute sofa with an alfresco dining table ideal for having your dinner or playing board games with your charter guests.

Moving forward you will find sun pads for enjoying perfectly sunny days on your yacht charter vacation in Croatia, but also the helm station from where you can spend more time with the captain. This flybridge is ideal because the whole group can enjoy the area at the same time.

What I really like about this flybridge is that you can enjoy star gazing from the uninhabited bay and count the falling stars. Furthermore, your captain can teach you more about astrology and show you the Ursa Major – one of the constellations visible from Croatia.

YACHT LOWER DECK

Moving down to the lower deck of the amazing SECRET LIFE yacht charter you will find 4 well-appointed cabins: a full-beam master cabin, a charming VIP cabin, and two twin cabins.

Yacht Charter Accommodation: The Master cabin

The lower deck aft is reserved for the amazing full-beam master cabin. The queen-size berth is located in the middle of the cabin, and it is surrounded by two nightstands ideal for storing your phone, watch, or best-seller book that you are reading before going to sleep. Moreover, right across the berth, there is a large TV perfect for watching your favourite romantic movie or a football game.

What I like about this master cabin is that it has a seating area with two sofas and a table, from where you can work on your laptop or play cheese with your better half. It is also a great area for sipping your first-morning coffee while watching the magical Croatian Adriatic Sea.

In the master cabin, you will also have an ensuite bathroom with a shower, a large mirror, and amazing windows which provide natural sunlight and fresh air. Furthermore, in the master cabin, you will have windows on both sides which is truly a wonderful feature.

Yacht Charter Accommodation: The VIP cabin

The SECRET LIFE yacht charter also features a full-beam VIP cabin with a cosy queen-size berth and an ensuite bathroom, with a shower, sink, large mirror, and toilet, on the lower deck. Moreover, the spectacular views provided by the huge windows of this cabin are what I truly admire about it. There is also a TV and a wardrobe where you can leave all your belongings.

Yacht Charter Accommodation: The Twin Cabin

On the lower deck of this lovely yacht, there are two twin cabins – one with separated berths and another one with bunk berths. These cabins are ideal for both adults and kids who will play in their area while parents are having a power nap in their master cabin. The twin cabin has also a TV where your guests can watch cartoons or favourite movies.

YACHT BEACH CLUB & SWIMMING PLATFORM

SECRET LIFE yacht charter has a large swimming platform where the tender is kept while SECRET LIFE is underway, but when your crew moves it into the sea, the area is transformed into an amazing beach club, ideal for sunbathing, reading a book, or sipping your favourite cocktail.

Moreover, this swimming platform is perfect for quick access to the sea, but also for relaxing and enjoying the view while your kids and friends are playing with SECRET LIFE’s water toys.

This beach club can be considered as your own private beach where you can put the sun pads, towels, and sun creams, but also call your hostess for anything you will desire. She can prepare spectacular canapes, squeezed juices, or freshwater with cucumber and lemon. Your wish is her command.

Marko is also an enthusiastic sailor and loves everything that floats on the sea. He has crossed the Atlantic and arranged several luxury yachts respectively sailing catamaran deliveries from France to Croatia and Greece. He speaks English fluently and will make sure that guests onboard SECRET LIFE will spend a wonderful time looking forward to showing them enchanting places along the coast of Croatia. Professional, obliging, and reliable would be the 3 main characterstics describing him best.

Yulia is an English teacher holding a bachelor's degree in geography and a master's degree in environmental sciences. Born 1977 she used to live in Ukraine on the Black Sea, Israel, and Canada. She was raised trilingually and therefore speaks English, Hebrew, and Russian/Ukrainian fluently with basic knowledges of a few other Mediterranean languages. Having come around, she stands out with enormous adaptability and flexibility, an eye for detail and a high level of commitment. Being connected with the Sea from childhood she is also a great deckhand able to assist superyacht captains whenever needed.

Three cabins accommodate up to six guests. Her master cabin has a walk around king bed, window seating, and en-suite bathroom. The V.I.P. cabin offers a walk around queen bed. Additionally, there is a twin guest cabin that can be converted into a double.

Her main salon has a white, U-shaped sectional with table for dining. Out on deck there is al fresco dining and large sun pad. Up on the bow there are further sun pads for lying out and soaking up the sun rays of the afternoon or taking in a little late-night stargazing.

Her fullbeam swim platform offers easy water access. Watersports include a RIB tender with 40hp engine, jet ski Sea Doo Spark, waterskis, tube, wakeboard, standup paddleboard, tube, snorkeling equipment, and sea scooter.

SECRET LIFE is a luxury motor yacht for charter built as a Cayman 70 series yacht. With exterior design and naval architecture by Italian Cayman Yachts, the interior has been designed by renowned Nuvolari Lenard boasting a 3-4 cabin layout that is ideal for up to 6-7 guests sleeping in one master cabin, one VIP, and one double guest cabin. All cabins are equipped with LED-TVs and come with their own ensuite bathrooms. For a child or nanny, a fourth bunk bed can be provided delivering an ideal layout for friends and a family at the same time.

*Toni Suric, Captain, Croatian Toni was born in Croatia in 1980 where he got attached to the sea in his early teenage years. He studied kinesiology and started his nautical career in 2005 looking back to the vast experience gained by operating various sailing and motor yachts. Toni is a true can-do captain, one knowing the Adriatic Sea like the back of his hand, responsible and ambitious, making sure no guests´ wishes remain unfulfilled. If you do not see Toni out on the sea, you will probably find him in the Alps as he is passioned skier. Toni speaks Croatian, English, and Russian fluently. *Tania Berisic, Hostess, Croatian Tania was born in Rijeka, Croatia, and raised in picturesque Istria on the northern Adriatic Coast. She is graduating from Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija and started to work on yachts last summer before she joined SECRET LIFE summer of 2023. Tania has excellent communication skills, is open-minded, and will make sure guests spend a pleasant stay on board. She is specialized in light Mediterranean cuisine and vegan dishes. If she is not out on the sea you will find Tania in the gym, traveling, surfing, or hiking and skiing in the mountains. Tania speaks Croatian, English, and Italian. *Valeria Zefic, Hostess/Cook, Croatian Valeria was born in 1995 in Zagreb, Croatia. Active-minded and enthusiastic it was clear that after Economics high school, Valeria will study kinesiology. Her love for cooking, traveling, and sports traced the path for her to become a professional hostess and cook in 2017 having worked on a luxury crewed sailing catamaran measuring more than 60 feet. Valeria is specialized in the Mediterranean whereas she has vast experience with gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan menus. She joins SECRET LIFE for the second half of summer season 2023 and if you do not meet Valeria out on the sea, you will probably see her in the indoor swimming pools where she is a swimming coach

It would take the sale of approximately 5.75 million HP ink cartridges to fund the $92 million purchase of superyacht Secret , currently listed for sale with Burgess. The ink cartridges were one of Walmart’s top-selling products in 2021, and might well have contributed to a successful year of yachting for Secret ’s owner, Walmart heiress and philanthropist Nancy Walton Laurie.

As the largest yacht on display at last month’s MYBA Charter Show in Barcelona, and one of three yachts reportedly owned by Laurie, the 271-foot beauty built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 2013 provides some insight into the family’s tastes and preferences.

The main salon’s bold color scheme by interior designer Jim Harris mixes pillar-box red sofas and carpets with ornate gold wall art. It’s a brave step change from the neutral beige and gray tones often selected by owners, typically with resale value in mind.

The designers also moved the formal dining room to the upper deck, leaving a large entertaining space to watch sports and socialize. A monochrome marble bar with a glass backdrop, views to the main deck aft and an onboard mixologist all help to set the tone. When it comes onboard socializing, Secret pulls no punches.

Guests arrive via the lower deck beach club or the main deck side entrance, where luggage can be ushered into the color-coded lower deck guest cabins. There are some unusual perks to being a guest aboard Secret . Heated bathroom floors feature across all guest suites, while guest mattresses are singles that zip together into doubles for greater flexibility.

The upper-deck, full-beam master suite, named Chanel to reflect the black-and-champagne silk color scheme, is highly personalized. Separate his and her en suites have their own amenities: Hers has a full-sized bath, and his has higher countertops to accommodate former basketball player and owner Bill Laurie’s 6’ 4” height. Both have steam showers. The private office is considerably smaller than the VIP office to accommodate the owner’s request for an oversized walk-in wardrobe.

The most surprising area on board is the “Valentina” main deck VIP guest suite, named after the Valentina-inspired white spiked headboard. The master has sea views and a private terrace, but the full-beam VIP, decorated and claimed by Laurie’s adult daughter when her family is on board, is arguably the superior option. It shares the same footprint as the master but enjoys a greater attention to detail. The ensuite, decorated in black-and-white stripes, has two day heads—one with bidet—and a central wet room fitted with a shower and full-sized bathtub.

The monochrome décor is echoed throughout the yacht, from the upper-deck sky lounge to the guest hallways. In the 12-person cinema, red Porsche leather armchairs are mirrored in the leather ceiling panels. The dedicated treatment room enjoys an onboard beautician and masseuse who specializes in hot Swedish massage.

A glass elevator connects the lower deck to the bridge deck, where an indoor glass-fronted gym and outdoor pool are located. For sundown soaks, the sun deck Jacuzzi ticks the box.

Last refitted in 2018, the yacht started out life at 256 feet, with an additional 16 feet added to accommodate the owner’s choice of an aft deck dining table. It’s the preferred space to enjoy buffet-style breakfasts, protected from view by high bulwarks. Further al fresco dining for 14 people is available on the lower deck beach club, where a “dining under the stars” themed evening sees guests enjoy meals at the water’s edge beneath a blanket of twinkling LEDs and real constellations above.

For families and guests with a competitive spirit, the beach club, equipped with changing rooms and rain showers, is the center of watersports action. A serious collection of toys, including kneeboards, flyboards, trampolines and towables are matched by an inflatable assault course erected by the crew for “Sports Olympics.” The addition of a female water-sports instructor has proven popular with charter guests.  When the weather’s bad, the karaoke system comes to the rescue.
