The 71.6m/234'11" 'Utopia' motor yacht built by the Dutch shipyard Feadship is available for charter for up to 12 guests in 6 cabins. This yacht features interior styling by British designer RWD.

Built in 2004, Utopia is custom-built for world-class luxury yacht chartering, offering a wealth of spacious living areas and fabulous amenities, you'll be in for a treat from the moment you step on board. Her features include an elevator and gym.

Exterior Design

Six decks include a duplex sun deck, an entire owner’s deck and a vast main deck that provides both indoor and outdoor entertaining space. A lower deck gives crew a superb living environment and an under lower deck enables them to operate the yacht without needing access to guest areas.

Interior Design

The contemporarily styled interior sets modern furniture against a background of light oak panelling with mahogany inlays. Two large guest suites are located on the lower deck and a further four on the main deck forward, while the whole deck above is a 200 sq m owner’s suite.

Guest Accommodation

Families will particularly love Utopia thanks to her child-friendly setup. She offers guest accommodation for up to 12 guests with a layout comprising a master suite, two double cabins and three twin cabins. There are 9 beds in total, including 3 king, 6 singles and 3 pullmans. She is also capable of carrying up to 17 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

A charter on Utopia is comfortable and convenient thanks to the provided amenities, particularly a gym with all the latest equipment to maintain your fitness routine. Sit back with a glass of champagne in the deck jacuzzi.

Whatever your activities on your charter, you'll find some impressive features are seamlessly integrated to help you, particularly an elevator, making any part of the yacht quickly and easily accessible. Satellite communication systems keep you in touch wherever you voyage or with Wi-Fi connectivity you don't have to lose contact with the outside world, unless you want to. Guests will experience complete comfort while chartering thanks to air conditioning.

Performance & Range

Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles from her 156,700 litre fuel tanks at 13 knots. Utopia features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels.

Set against the backdrop of your chosen cruising ground, you and your guests can enjoy endless days of fun on the water with the exceptional collection of water toys and accessories aboard Utopia. Principle among these are two Lazer sailboats to bring out the explorer in you. Take to the sea on the Jet Skis offering you power and control on the water. You'll be loving the huge adrenaline rush as you zip over the water on one of the two WaveRunners. If that isn't enough Utopia also features waterskis, wakeboards, kayaks, WindSurfers and scuba diving equipment. Utopia features three tenders, but leading the pack is a 8.5m/27'11" RIB to transport you in style.

Marketing Description

UTOPIA has a special place in the Feadship league of launches. The owner’s brief to the De Vries shipyard was very simple: build a yacht that would justify her name. Subject to no particular constraints the 71.6 metre (235’) yacht was planned with three priorities in mind: huge internal volume, unprecedented glazed areas and highly automated systems.

Motor Yacht

Completed by Feadship in 2004, the 71.60m Utopia was one of the largest Dutch-built yachts at the time of her launch in 2004 and has since undergone an extensive refit in 2013. Aptly named and meticulously maintained, this traditional custom Feadship is a sophisticated member of the builder’s fleet and a features incredible interior volumes.

Space is key on board Utopia as her headroom of 2.20 metres creates a sense of freedom and comfort, enhanced by the full-height windows and relaxed, homely interiors. This giant of height and space can house up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising of three double cabins and three twins. What’s more, is that guests can step on board in style thanks to a helicopter landing pad on the aft.

The owner’s deck is one of six grand platforms, spanning over 50 metres of space with private Jacuzzi and dining terrace, sky lounge, gym and stateroom with 270 degree curved window. The remaining five guest rooms may not boast as much space as a dedicated deck, but are created to provide unbridled comfort. Safety joins space, as the engineering throughout means comfort and stability are achieved through technology and design.

$2M price drop on 63m Rossinavi motor yacht Utopia IV

The 63-metre Rossinavi motor yacht Utopia IV, listed for sale with Moran Yacht & Ship , has received a further price reduction of $2,000,000 ahead of her appearance at the upcoming Miami International Boat Show.

Built in aluminium by Italian yard Rossinavi to a design by Team For Design Enrico Gobbi , Utopia IV was delivered in 2018 and is on the market for the first time since her launch. She was the recipient of a Neptune at the World Superyachts Awards in 2019 and is offered for sale following a refit which included a full paint job and service of all major machinery including engines, jet drives, and generators.

Accommodation is for up to 12 guests split across six en suite cabins, including a forward-facing master suite with its own six-metre terrace. Below, a VIP suite, three doubles and a twin cabin complete the layout of the guest areas, while the crew quarters are suitable for a staff of up to 13. Brands such as Armani and Hermes feature throughout.

Special features include a 70-square-metre beach club in the transom, three spa pools and a touch-and-go helipad, while her 11-metre beam allows for a total interior volume of 930GT.

Power to this yacht for sale comes from four 2,600hp MTU M96L diesel engines, coupled with Rolls Royce Kamewa waterjets. This combination translates into an impressive top speed of 28 knots.

Utopia IV is now asking $47,900,000 and will be at the Miami International Boat Show (16-19 February 2023).

Main Salon & Dining

Two 4 1/2 meter sliding glass doors on the main deck allow a connection between indoors and out. Step into her spacious and well-appointed main salon featuring elegant contemporary furnishings and lighting built into her walls creating a natural light effect. She has been outfitted in creamy whites, muted grays, and light woods—letting pops of turquoise and the ocean views offered up from the floor-to-ceiling windows reign supreme. A dedicated bar is located on her port side as you enter providing a comfortable refuge to enjoy a craft cocktail. A large TV is hidden cleverly in a mirror forward of the seating area.

Forward of the main salon is her dedicated dining room divided from the main salon by a partition of rich wood paneling. Lights are built into her walls and ceiling creating a comfortable and elegant dining experience for guests. Twelve guests can dine comfortably in this generous space.

Master Stateroom & Lounge

Unsurprisingly, the forward-facing owner’s suite is the vessel’s crown jewel. Besides its palatial proportions, it is filled with sexy details - the bedroom overlooks a glass-enclosed Jacuzzi bath separating his and her bathrooms. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open out onto a 20-foot-long fixed balcony for enjoying the outdoors in complete privacy. A dedicated owner's salon and office allow owner's to watch TV or curl up with a good book in complete privacy.

Just aft of the bridge is the vessel's skylounge which was designed with family in mind. Kick back and watch a movie on her hidden TV or enjoy a competitive game of cards. A pantry is located off the skylounge for quick guest service.

Forward of the skylounge is a dedicated playroom for kids which features a large TV and couch.

The lower deck features a large reception area with a beautiful swimming pool with fantastic views of the surrounding ocean.

A large full-beam seating area is located on her bridge deck aft with room for at least 50 guests. Additionally, a large al-fresco dining table and large bar complement this amazing area for entertaining guests. Forward of the bridge on boat's bow is a generous seating and sunning area with enough space for large parties or to get away from it all.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
