While in Zero Emission Mode, she can cruise, moor or rest using only the battery packs or up to two inline diesel generators. The yacht promises greater reliability courtesy of her electric motors. The Power Management system ensures that generators are only used when required, keeping engine hours at a minimum and reducing standard maintenance which in turn increases the time between overhauls. The WIDER 170 has transformed the face of environmentally-conscious yachting without sacrificing guest comfort.

The WIDER 170’s interior configuration is flexible and has been designed to maximize comfort for her guests. There is a strong focus on blending the interior spaces with the sea, courtesy of the expansive windows. The central position of the engine room guarantees a unique layout with spacious accommodation and living areas. With close proximity to the aft beach club and lower-deck spa area, the main salon is the central locale for guests to gather. Her wheelhouse is characterized by an ultra-advanced island dashboard that offers optimal visibility and control of the maneuvering operations.

With configurations for up to 14 guests, the WIDER 170 offers absolute privacy for each guest onboard. The sweeping full-beam owner’s suite is forward on the main deck boasting 80sqm of living space complemented by a private terrace overlooking the sea. This is a true haven of relaxation and opulence with the finest interior finishes and furnishings. The standard layout offers four spacious cabins on the lower deck, all with the same standard of luxury as the master. The lower deck allows for custom arrangements with the possibility of up to six guest cabins. A large spa/cinema/gym area can be accessed from the main salon adding an additional element of customization. Nine crewmembers are welcome in four generous double crew cabins plus a Captain’s cabin.

With up to 360sqm of exterior living spaces, the WIDER 170 has put alfresco living at the forefront. At the bow, a protected garage houses a Jet Ski and 18’ (5.5m) tender that can be easily deployed by the built-in crane. The upper deck offers a peaceful lounging and sunbathing area, which can be converted into a touch-and-go helicopter platform when needed. Aft on the upper deck guests will find a generous alfresco dining space. The yacht’s sundeck has an impressive area of 85sqm that can be configured to offer total privacy or dedicated to entertainment with a lounge, bar and dining area.

One of the most distinctive elements of the WIDER 170 is her awe-inspiring beach club. When opened, it creates a huge platform at water level measuring more than 90sqm. From the main salon via a rounded pocket sliding door, guests have direct access to the beach club area. Other notable features include a custom infinity pool aft and an expansive indoor/outdoor dining area. The side balconies and open stern create one large terrace spread across three levels overlooking the water.

Rossinavi is the heavy metal master of the marine world and its latest superyacht shows why. The fully custom 170-foot masterpiece, known as Florentia , sports an impeccably made steel hull that is as striking as they come.

Florentia was commissioned by an exacting owner who tasked the yard with creating a timeless gem that pairs classic features with modern details. Rome-based architecture firm Studio Vafiadis spearheaded the exterior design, while Italian designer Carlo Colombo of A++ design studio took care of the interiors. As with all of Rossinavi’s high-quality vessels, Florentia was built entirely in-house at the yard in Viareggio and hit the sea on June 13.

“ Florentia is the most representative example of a fully bespoke superyacht made in Italy,” says Stefano Vafiadis of Studio Vafiadis.

Florentia  is characterized by sinuous lines and a sleek silhouette that together give her an effortless elegance. She features a full-displacement steel hull and aluminum superstructure, as well as 800GT of interior volume. Power-wise, twin 1,750 hp Cat 3512E motors propel the vessel to 15 knots at full tilt or 13.5 knots cruising. She can cover some 5,000 nautical miles when chugging along at 10 knots.

The interior, meanwhile, was inspired by the ocean’s waves and features a soft, neutral color palette and high-end materials that make it both peaceful and relaxing. The pièce de résistance is the central staircase that serves to connect all areas of the yacht in a harmonious manner. Standout features include an amphitheater-like upper deck which can double as a cinema thanks to a built-in projector, an expansive main saloon and dining space that’s divided by a bespoke cabinet, and a generous main deck where guests can take in the ocean views.

Florentia ’s generous layout can accommodate up to 12 guests and 11 crew members. The main-deck owner’s cabin features its own private balcony, not one but two walk-in wardrobes—somebody likes their clothes—an ensuite and incredible saddle-stitched leather bed. Not to be outdone, the VIP suite off the fly deck has a living room, ensuite, private balcony and access to the outdoor jacuzzi at the stern. The lower deck features two king bedrooms and two doubles for the remaining cabins guests, as well as the crew quarters which includes five twin rooms, a kitchen, living room and laundry.

There is just one glaring problem with Florentia, at least for potential buyers who might want the same yacht . S he’s a one-off. That’s good news, of course, for the Rossinavi aficionados who appreciate the yard’s diversity over the years. The yachts are unique, but equal for beauty and levels of build quality. They range from Aurora to  Endeavour II to Utopia IV  and more than a dozen others. Vector 50 and LEL are expected to launch later this year.

Description This 50-meter yacht designed with modern and captivating lines. The amount of open space, the on-board comfort, together with intrinsic feeling for the contact with the sea are her strengths. the WIDER 170 is elegant and sporty at the same time, with plenty of deck space and big internal volumes coexist with a futuristic wheel-house and the latest technology, including the WIDER sustainability. The project is the natural evolution of her predecessor WIDER 165, merging and improving all the distinctive features of the WIDER world. The external living spaces reach 360 sqm with large windows guarantee the maximum visibility of the sea and surroundings in the main and upper salons.

The internal layout is totally flexible and can accommodate an arrangement with up to six staterooms plus the Owner’s cabin of 80 sqm.

The beach club, in its operational opened state, creates a huge platform at water level of more than 90 sqm.

Crew is one of the largest expenses on a superyacht and critical to the owner’s enjoyment of their vessel. As the largest crew agency in the world, we know crew. Our cost calculator contains customized crew lists for yachts ranging from 80ft to 600ft with salary information based on our reference verified salary data.

Our users also have the ability to completely tailor the crew list to the specific needs, schedule and requirements of their vessel. Each yacht is unique and may have specific owner requests in addition to the yacht’s safe manning requirements.

Management of the supplemental crew costs and strategic budgeting can help avoid significant overspend on categories such as food and uniform. This tool contains default values based on our industry expertise and recommended budget for an efficiently and safely run superyacht.

Our chart of accounts displays seven major categories, 20 sub-categories plus a further 80 detail categories for a total of 107.

Our yacht operating cost calculator is now on it’s third major revision. We start with actual yacht expense data from our yacht management accountants and then generate formulas to extrapolate out the budget for a wide range of yachts. We have been providing accounting services to large yachts for the past 18 years.

Our operating cost calculator is tuned for yachts from 80 to 600 feet. We find operating variables create the largest variances for yachts smaller than 100 feet and larger than 250 feet. We have tested the numbers the most in the range from 100 to 250 feet.

Our budget calculator factors in the fuel burn for a range of engine sizes typically seen installed on yachts by length. By dragging the green “fuel dockage” slider to the right you will increase the projected fuel burn rate and therefore the budget cost for fuel. Our default position would be for a typical displacement fuel burn. Position the slider in the 60-80% range for fuel projections for planning hulls.

Our default values produce a budget number that we believe is generous to run a yacht to a high standard. Perfect is a very expensive word to use in the yachting industry where standards are already high. Moving the crew and maintenance sliders to 80% will provide an “industry best” quality of crew and give them the maintenance budget to operate to a very high standard. If you need to go over the 80% area then you may have unusually labor intensive equipment on the yacht.

Yes, our yacht operating cost calculator can output a budget suitable for this situation. Adjust the owner use to 2 (minimum value), owner slider to 0, crew slider to 10%, Administration to 10%, Fuel and Dockage to 0, Maintenance to 10% and then Capital Repairs to 0. This will remove all of the large charges associated with owner use and vessel movement but leave the essential base maintenance and insurance in place.

Lift on and float in yacht transport is a popular way to transport yachts across large ocean passage. The yachts that this service certainly applies to are ones that may not have the motoring range or structural integrity for blue ocean cruising. The cost of transporting a yacht twice per year is put into our budget once the “Fuel Dockage” slider hits 75%. If your yacht has the range we recommend self-sufficient ocean passages whenever possible. Whilst the transport companies sell their services based upon reportedly well oiled operated schedules the reality is that your yacht may stay waiting for pickup for a week or more with no compensation due. When factoring in all secondary factors of self-sufficient passages (increased fuel, maintenance, potential storm damage, crew time off, extra delivery crew) compared with transporting your yacht (insurance, potential loading / unloading damage, loss of schedule control, no work whilst underway, crew flights, crew accommodation) we believe that there is a 100% premium associated with float in transport and a 75% premium with lift on transport compared with self-powered.

Abandoned yachts crash in value. We recommend that even if you are trying to sell your yacht that you use the yacht for a minimum of two weeks per year so that systems are tested and working every six months. There is nothing worse for a yacht than not being used. If you truly are not going to use the yacht then you should sell it immediately for the first genuine offer as every dollar you put into maintenance will not be recovered at the time of the sale.

We did not build this version with sailing yachts in mind. Early in our development of this version we decided to exclude sailing yachts as a few of the major cost drivers scale very differently for sailing yachts compared with motor yachts. For example: To calculate paint costs we reviewed the surface area of over 100 large yachts and created a formula for painted surface area to length. Sailing yachts just don’t scale in a consistent way. Similarly crew numbers don’t scale in the same manner that they do for motor yachts. If there is sufficient demand we may build a sailing selector switch into a future version of this tool.

We hate to hear when yacht owners were told by their broker to factor in 10% of the purchase price to operate the yacht. This over used saying is sadly right occasionally (particularly for newer yachts in the $20-30M range)… but just because a broken watch tells the right time twice a day you shouldn’t rely upon it to tell the time. As yachts get older their capital value decreases but their maintenance costs increase. There is no way that a fixed 10% of purchase cost rule can be true… if your broker told you this rule then you need a new yacht broker… we know some good ones. 😊

Centro stile WIDER, has penned the exterior and the interior of this sleek and masculine superyacht, built entirely in aluminium. The project is the natural evolution of her predecessor W165’, merging and improving all the distinctive features of the WIDER world. External living spaces reach 360 sqm. The large windows guarantee the maximum visibility of the sea and surroundings in the main and upper salons. The internal layout is totally flexible and can accommodate an arrangement with up to six cabins plus the owner’s cabin of 80 sqm. The beach club, in its operational opened state, creates a huge platform at water level of more than 90 sqm. The wheelhouse is characterized by a hyper-technological island dash-board, which offers a perfect view and control of the manoeuvring operations.

The  WIDER beach club  is certainly one of the characterizing and distinctive elements of our yachts. From the large main salon via a rounded pocket sliding door, you have direct access to the beach club area of  more than 90 sqm.  Here you will find a  custom infinity pool  aft of the internal/external dining area. Internal Layout

The  internal layout  of the WIDER 170 has been designed to ensure maximum comfort for its guests with special attention to  direct contact with the sea . Thanks to the central position of the engine room, the yacht is able to guarantee a unique layout with huge guests and living spaces. Cabins and living area

The  internal layout  of the WIDER 170 has been designed to ensure  maximum comfort  for its guests with special attention paid to the direct contact with the sea. With the compact engine room positioned centrally, the arrangement offers a unique layout with huge guests and living spaces. The main deck saloon with its large windows is closely connected to the aft beach club area and the spa area on the lower deck. The  owner’s cabin  is located forward on the main deck and extends to the full width, offering an  80sqm area  and a  private and exclusive terrace  overlooking the sea. The  standard layout  on the lower deck has  four very spacious cabins , plus a large spa/cinema/gym area with direct access from the main deck saloon. This  lower deck  area allows for custom arrangements with the possibility of incorporating up to six cabins. + Quite and exclusive terrace over the sea + Cinema + Spa and gym area + 4 spaciuos cabins on the lower deck

Entertainment

In the bow a  protected garage  houses a  jet ski  and a 5,50 meter  tender , both of which can easily be deployed by the inbuilt crane through side doors in the hull. Above this on the upper deck, there is a  peaceful lounging  and  sunbathing area , which can be transformed into a  touch and go helicopter  platform. Aft on the upper deck, there is a  lounge and an outdoor dining area .
