Used ‘van buyer’s guide – Mobilvetta Euroyacht motorhome

If you're searching for used motorhomes for sale but you still want some luxury, we think the Mobilvetta Euroyacht A-class motorhomes are worth considering

Published: October 10, 2014

For top luxury from a used 'van, the experts at Practical Motorhome think the Mobilvetta Euroyacht is well worth considering

Luxurious and powerful, the Mobilvetta Euroyacht A-class motorhomes built between 1996 and 2002 should be on your ‘must-see’ list if you’re thinking of buying a deluxe motorhome.

As we do regularly at Practical Motorhome, online and in the magazine , here we are focusing on a great used mainstream motorhome, giving you expert advice so you are able to buy with confidence. We tell you which is the best of the bunch, what to pay and any problems to look out for.

This time, we are looking at the Iveco-based Mobilvetta Euroyacht. If you are looking for the best luxury used motorhomes for sale, make sure you take a look at some pre-owned Euroyachts.

Mobilvetta Design began making high-end furniture in 1961 – in 1976 it built its first motorhome. Around 20 years later, the company launched the Euroyacht, which – when coupled with the bombproof twin-rear-wheel-drive Iveco chassis-cowl – resulted in one of the best A-class motorhomes ever built.

These Italian lovelies really were in a class of their own, featuring
quality cabinetwork with traditional joinery and radius hardwoods. The high standards of equipment levels and practical, new-to-Britain layouts led to them sailing out of the showroom with ease.

The Iveco-based range kicked off with the 6.8m 170 LX and 175 LX models. The 170 has a forward lounge and a midships kitchen ahead of a rear washroom. The 175, meanwhile, has double and single Pullman dinettes and bunk beds – bringing the sleeping-berth count to seven!

Next up was the 7.45m 180 LX, with a similar lounge to the 170. However, the extra length allows a fixed, European-style corner bed ahead of the full-width rear washroom.

The Mobilvetta Design Euroyacht A-class coachbuilt was built in Barberino Val D’Elsa, Tuscany, Italy between 1996 and 2002. The Euroyacht’s overall length is a modest 6.85m to 7.45m (22ft 6in to 24ft 6in).

So, what should you look out for when looking round a used Mobilvetta Euroyacht at a motorhome dealership? Here are Practical Motorhome’s expert tips to help you buy better. Let’s start with the base vehicle. The 2.5- and 2.8-litre mechanical injection TD units are under-stressed and should – given regular maintenance – last 250,000 miles. On early five-speeders, the first gear was so short that many drivers didn’t bother to use it: so do check that it can still be selected easily.

Some back-axle noise is acceptable, but avoid motorhomes with incontinent gearboxes and rear-axles. Almost all examples of the Mobilvetta Euroyacht are left-hand drive vehicles, which might be an advantage if you spend a lot of time on tour abroad in your motorhome.

The skirts of the Euroyacht can discolour over time, and the gel coat on the moulded GRP front end cap goes flat! Bargain hard if this is the case, but be prepared to put a lot of effort in if you decide that you want to restore it to its former glory.

The foam in the habitation seat squabs was soft even when new, so this is likely to need replacing for maximum seat comfort.

So, what do we think of these ‘vans? Here are our likes:

  • Eye-candy good looks
  • Revolutionary (in their day) layouts
  • Twin-rear-wheel drive
  • Easy chassis upgrade

And our dislikes:

  • Three-piece windscreen has blind spots
  • Challenging access to the in-line engine

What’s our pick of the range? Well, unless you have a large family, go for the Movilvetta Euroyacht 180 LX. We think this is the motorhome that offers the most sensuous luxury.

But what to pay? Mint examples are available from close to £18,000. Those that have been lived-in and need an interior overhaul are sometimes available on eBay from £10,000 (on European plates).

What alternatives are there? You could also try the  Laika Ecovip 200i and 400i Iveco-based A-class models, or the Mobilvetta Icaro. These have the same layouts and are also based on Iveco vans, but have been built as overcab coachbuilt motorhomes. Consider all three if you see them come up at a good price on the secondhand market.

Need help finding a good motorhome dealer that you can trust? Every year, Practical Motorhome invites readers and website users to rate their motorhome and also their supplying dealer, as part of the Owner Satisfaction Survey . As a result we have fantastic feedback on all the best and worst dealerships out there, as well as reliability ratings for different brands of motorhomes. So take a look at the findings in our 2014 Owner Satisfaction Survey  when searching for motorhomes for sale, to help determine who to buy from and what to buy. The full results were published in the April 2014 issue of Practical Motorhome magazine – back issues are available by calling 08456 777 812, while stocks last.

Mobilveta Euroyacht 175 LX

Archiesgrandad.

Just spotted a Euroyacht 175 LX for sale on Autoscout 24, and it could be just the van to replace the Pilote.

It's 1998 on an Iveco chassis, but there is no indication of the gross weight. Could one of you guys take a look through your back copies etc to see if you can work out whether or not it might be under 3.5 tonnes. I've tried to look it up on the internet, but I'm hopeless at it, and I need to know before I start chasing around France , talking to foreigners etc.

Many thanks

There was a 3.5 GVW of the daily back then but Looking up a 98 MMM buyers guide No GVW listed only payload. Euroyacht came in three sizes

140- 487kg payload probably on the 3500 kg GVW chassis.

170- 1130kg PL probably on the 4000kg GVW

180- 1100kg PL probably on the 4000kg GVW.

Allowing for the usual makers optimism on ULW I doubt the 140 has much payload and the bigger ones are too big.

Solwaybuggier

Found an old advert from a Dutch website which suggests a GVW of 3500 kg -

http://www.speurders.nl/overzicht/caravans-en-kamperen/campers-overige-merken/mobilvetta-euro-yacht-175-camper-135231441.html

Many thanks guys, that is exactly what I hoped for, I will see how we get on.

The Euroyacht was built on two different base vehicles . the 140 gvw 3500kg on a FWD Ducato

The 170 175 180 on the RWD Iveco daily chassis with gvw 4000kg.

The rear wheels are the giveaway.

The Ducato has a single wheel at the back. Dished outwards like the front

The Iveco rear axle has twin wheels bolted back to back and the outer has a deep inward dish that can be seen in photographs.

This 2014 discussion relating to a 1998 Euroyacht may be of interest

http://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Axle-weights-/36008/

It seems likely that all Euroyacht 170/175 motorhomes left the Mobilvetta factory with a maximum overall weight of 3500kg, and as the motorhome you mention is being sold in France

http://www.truckscout24.com/vehicle-details/Caravans-Campers-Mobilvetta-Euroyacht-175-LX-Semi-Integrated/16158329/2

it’s a racing certainty that this vehicle will not have been uprated beyond 3500kg.

These motorhomes are based on a hefty Iveco twinned-rear-wheel ‘truck’ chassis with little regard to constructional weight-saving and I’d be extremely wary of potential payload issues at the 3500kg limit.

There’a a buyer’s guide here

http://www.practicalmotorhome.com/advice/30495-used-van-buyers-guide-mobilvetta-euroyacht-motorhome

I own exactly that model on an Iveco chassis 2.8TD & it is plated @ 3500 GVW ;-) Must add to that it is an excellent vehicle. Brilliant layout, very comfortable in all aspects.

It’s perhaps worth mentioning that when your 3500kg GVW Euroyacht was MOT-tested its weight was measured at 3486kg, leaving just 14kg of extra ‘payload’ available.

It’s unlikely that the weight of the Euroyacht in the French advert will differ significantly from your vehicle’s, which means that AGD would need to be ultra careful about loading it or ignore the probability that it’s going to exceed the 3500kg maximum in normal use.

Although SVTech advised you that your motorhome’s 3500kg weight-limit could be uprated to 3850kg, the chances of this approach being authorised in France are minimal as the French rules regarding uprating are far stricter than the UK’s. So, even if AGD has an ‘over 3500kg’ driving-licence entitlement, taking a French-registered 3500kg Euroyacht beyond that weight limit will almost certainly be a non-starter.

If the first line figure of 14kg effective payload is correct just the driver boarding would put it well overweight..

George Collings - 2016-03-11 11:30 PM   If the first line figure of 14kg effective payload is correct just the driver boarding would put it well overweight..

That’s what was said...

I have a 1996 copy of “Which Motorcaravan” magazine and the Mobilvetta entry in the buyer’s gude listing indicated that Euroyacht 170 and 190 models were then being marketed in the UK (in LHD) by Don Amott. The base vehicle was said to be an Iveco 40.12 and the payload was quoted as 1130kg for the 170 and 1100kg for the 190. However, what firm evidence there is points to Iveco-based Euroyachts marketed in the late-90s being plated at 3500kg, which - given the vehicle’s specification - would make a large usable payload very doubtful.

It’s probable that the Euroyacht 175 in the AutoScout24 advert is plated at 3500kg and - if that’s so - there’s every reason to think it will have been operated at that weight since 1998. French motorcaravanners (being generally restricted to driving up-to-3500kg camping-cars and liking the idea of big ones) don’t appear to be too fussed about driving overweight motorhomes, whereas UK motorcaravanners seem more concerned about doing this.

It should be straightforward enough for AGD to confirm the advertised Euroyacht’s maximum gross weight, but less easy to establish the payload reliably without actually weighing the vehicle. As he has had so much bureaucratic pain over registering his RHD Pilote in France, it would be sensible that he be aware at this stage of possible payload limitations with the Euroyacht and that the UK procedure of gaining extra payload by chassis ‘uprating’ is unlikely to be practicable in France.

I would like to thank everyone for such a fantastic response, I do like the look of the Euroyacht, but the weight problem bothers me, I only have the 3.5 tonne licence now, so I think I will wait until after I have returned the Pilote to the UK and sorted that out. What an incredible bunch you really are, many thanks.

First Oceanic 140’ fast expedition superyacht sold and construction underway

October 16 2020

Written by Yachting Art Magazine

Considering the growing demand for the Oceanic Range, Canados announced that construction of its flagship model of Fast Expedition vessels, the Oceanic Yacht 140 Tri-Deck, is well underway.

First Oceanic 140’ fast expedition superyacht sold and construction underway

The yacht has been sold to a loyal Canados client who intends to keep the boat based in Cote d’Azur.

This new contract represents a true milestone for the Rome based iconic builder, as it is the larger model ever build by Canados.

While original contract delivery date was set for September 2021, it has been decided with the client to push the delivery back to March 2022 in order to benefit from the new CAT 32B Series which are a direct evolution of the CAT 32 Acert.

The decision to switch to these new engines has been based on the increased performances they will bring to the package and the favor made by CGT/Caterpillar Italy to choose Canados and the Oceanic 140’ as the opening builder for this new Tri-Turbo engine which power cannot yet be released to the public.

As a result, the Oceanic 140’ will be the first yacht powered with these engines delivered in Europe. The 43-meter Oceanic hull #1 is a triple engine configuration that has been engineered to run either at displacement speeds or planning speeds, offering extended navigation possibilities.

The Canados DHC – Displaning Hull Concept

The hull design by Canados technical office has been named DHC for “Displaning Hull Concept” for its very specific ability to bring the best of both world, long range at 10 to 14 knots and a top end speed of 25 knots at planning speed.

The partially keeled hull has been designed with twin massive steps, triple propeller tunnels and bulb. The keel runs over two third of the hull length to increase stability at slow speed and in following seas.

The two steps play two roles, reducing the buoyancy aft to keep pitching movement to the minimum at displacement speeds and compensate the weight of the superstructure installed very much forward, while they will ventilate the propellers at higher speed.

The specific bulb design that has been studied at the Rome tank testing facility (Insean), increases the running surface at slow speed, thus reducing fuel consumption.

Above 20 knots, the bulb will partially be out of the water and will also help reducing pitching movements. The three propellers tunnels where designed to reduce the draft of the yacht that will be limited to 2,10 meters at half load, opening extended shallow waters cruising grounds.

As a result, with these new engines, the Oceanic 140’ Fast Expedition will offer a range in excess of over 6000 NM at 10 knots while at 21 knots, she has an 800 NM range and a top speed of 25 knots.

Apart from this all new hull design and astonishing performances, the engine configuration is fairly unusual with the two wing 12 cylinders CAT equipped with trolling valves and the center engine’s gearbox equipped with an intercooler. This will allow to run the yacht long range on the two side engines with the center one off without any risks for the gearbox and the side engine injectors. In this configuration, the Oceanic will run at about 10/11 knots with a very reduced consumption in the region of 50 liters per hours.

This superyacht will offer an aft deck of about 110 square meters/1184 Sq. feet, with aft Jacuzzi, sun pads, bar, dining room and day head with direct access to the tender bay for a 6-meter tender and plenty of toys located amidship. Underneath the tender bay will be installed a Veem 145 SD gyroscope stabilization system.

Interior Design by Rome based Michela Reverberi Studio

The interior of the Oceanic 140’ is being designed by Rome based Michela Reverberi who is used to collaborate with Canados and designed the latest delivered Canados 888.

The interiors will be particularly elegant with a mix of saddle stitched leather panels, washed gold color embossed hard leather panels representing the Fibonacci sequences, bronze inserts, Tay washed wood, and Rose wood panels as well as mahogany with brushed stainless-steel inserts. The entire main deck will be dressed with a tatami textured European oak silver finished with gold dust.

The main deck will be devoted to saloon and dining areas with full height windows, galley, captain’s cabin and full beam wheelhouse with integrated Böning bridge.

The lower deck will be shared between the crew quarters to fore and the four guest-cabins, out of which two are gigantic VIPs with queen size beds and private corner saloon.

The engine room aft of the tender bay is accessible from the control room next to which the engineer’s cabin is located.

At the transom is a garage with two electric cars that will be unloaded to the dock with the help of an Opacmare Transformer. When emptied from the cars, this space will be turned into a beach club.

The upper deck is fully devoted to the owner’s suite with a private aft deck and a fore terrace equipped with jacuzzi.

The sun deck is equipped with two wing stations, sun pad, bar, sauna and bathroom. Despite its expedition concept and architecture, the Oceanic 140’ will come with a mirror finished Awlgrip painting and second-to-none in-house hand-crafted interiors for which Canados is famous for since 1946.

A spacious camper with a handy layout that you no longer see nowadays, Italian Design with a strong 2.5 liter Turbo Intercooler and double air at the rear. Although the camper is from 1995, it has always been stored indoors and has always been well maintained. We received compliments from the appraiser on how it looks for its age.

We, our family of 5 people and a dog, have used the camper for a few weeks every year in the summer. In addition, my parents, the original owners, traveled throughout Europe every summer.

Because we cannot yet make optimal use of the camper, it is now regularly rented out. Insurance has been taken out for this, including SOS assistance throughout Europe.

Originally it is a 7 person camper, but then you can hardly take anything with you. Ideal is 2 to MAX 5 people. More persons are not allowed! There are seat belts for 5 people. Not suitable for 5 adults, so a family with children under 18 years of age could, in consultation.

It seems big, but before rental I will always test drive it to give you instructions and tips. The tenants all say that shifting gears and driving takes some getting used to and that you get used to it after a few hours. Thanks to the powerful engine, it has no trouble in the mountains or hills.

The camper is also well suited for free parking/camping (not in winter) without facilities. This is due to its large water tanks (clean and dirty!) and its 3 solar panels. The last tenants had it with them for 2 weeks and visited a campsite/camper site once.

It has a shower, toilet (with fixed waste water tank), (gas) oven, (gas/electricity) refrigerator, 4-burner gas stove and a heater.

There are 2 double beds, 1 of which is a pull-down bed (190 x 130 cm) above the driver and passenger seat and is therefore always made up and 1 is a double bed (180 x 90/120 cm), a single bed (180x65 cm). ) and 2 long single beds (200 x 60 cm). When using a bunk bed, i.e. above and below, there is a small storage space left, which is why the lower part is almost never used, creating a spacious storage space.

In short, it is ready to drive away after loading your own belongings and go on holiday through Europe.

Preference: not to Italy/Croatia!

Please feel free to contact me to come and view the camper, for example.

marcone62

Voter Registration Info

Early voting starts Oct 25th, and runs through November 3rd. During this period, citizens can go to the Latah County Courthouse between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and vote. Otherwise, election day is on November 7th, at which time citizens will need to go to their respective precincts to vote ( Precinct Map ), based on their residential address.

If your permanent residence is here in Moscow, Latah County, Idaho:

****************************************************************************************************

To register to vote online (voteidaho.gov) or at the Latah County clerk’s office or at the polls, you must be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age, a resident of Idaho and your county for 30 days prior to the election. To prove this, you must provide:

  • Idaho-issued identification card or Idaho driver’s license or current US passport
  • One approved proof of residence document

Any of the above photo identification with correct residence address:

  • Lease or rental agreement
  • Utility bill (excluding cellular telephone bill)
  • Bank or credit card statement
  • Paystub, paycheck, government-issued check
  • For students: Enrollment papers from current school year.

Identification

Do you have an Idaho state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license)?

Yes, I have an Idaho state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license).

Is your address current on it?

If not please update your address online at dmvonline.itd.idaho.gov/   Or in person at Latah County DMV, 1313 S. Blaine Street, Moscow, ID 83843. (No need to pay the $20 new-card fee. The address will be corrected in the state’s system.)

No, I do not have an Idaho state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license) .

Follow the Idaho DMV rules for a driver’s license. Or apply for an Idaho photo identification card:

Bring 1 or 2 (2 will allow you to get a Star Card for travel purposes) of these original documents proving residency that are less than a year old in your current name with current address to the DMV:

  • Lease, rental agreement, mortgage, or deed
  • Account statement from one or two different utilities (no ¾ page or cell phone bills)
  • Account statement from a bank or financial institution
  • Medical or insurance provider statement, invoice, or explanation of benefits
  • Pay stub or employment verification (it must list your legal name.)
  • Idaho school enrollment records with current address (college IDs are not accepted)
  • Residency affidavit signed by an adult over age 18
  • Vehicle, homeowner’s, or renter’s liability information.
  • And bring your birth certificate and social security card .

Have you been recently married and need to update your name on your Idaho state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license)?

First, change your name on your social security card by taking to Lewiston Social Security Office:

  • Maiden name social security card
  • Marriage certificate (not the gold-seal version, but the certified copy)
  • Must have State File Number, Groom, Bride, and Family ( maiden ) Name completed
  • Birth certificate (recorded copy, not the keepsake copy)
  • Maiden name state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license).

Then, change your name on your Idaho state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license) at the Latah County DMV, 1313 S. Blaine Street, Moscow, ID 83843.

I was recently married, but I do not have ANY valid photo identification card

  • Follow the Idaho DMV rules for a driver’s license.

Or apply for an Idaho state-issued photo identification card (see steps above). Wait for the plastic one to arrive in the mail.

2. Change your name on your social security card by taking to Lewiston:

  • New Idaho state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license).

3.  Wait 24-48 hours. Then return to DMV in person for your state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license).

There is a new, free Idaho voting identification card option for people who do not drive. This program began in July 2023, so there is not much information available on it.

The signed affidavit is only to be used if the properly registered voter comes to the polls without a picture identification, and his verbally given address matches the roster. If the addresses do not match, the person must re-register to vote (must go and get the photo identification and proof of address).

As a student , where should I register to vote?

From the Idaho Secretary of State’s website :

“College students must establish, as with all other voter registration applicants, that the locale within which they seek to register and vote is their domicile i.e. that they are living in the college community with the intention of abandoning their former domicile and with the intention of remaining permanently, or for an indefinite length of time, in the new location. Some of the factors which may be relevant in determining whether domicile has been established for voting purposes by a student as well as any other applicant, are as follows:

  • Has the applicant registered to vote elsewhere?
  • Where does the applicant maintain his checking and saving accounts, if any?
  • Where does the applicant pay taxes, and what address did he list as his residence on his last income tax return?
  • What is the residence listed on the applicant’s driver’s license?
  • If the applicant owns an automobile, where is it registered?
  • Does the applicant live year round at his claimed domicile, or does he divide it elsewhere? If it is divided, how much time is spent elsewhere and for what reason?

As a student, you should not be registering and voting in your college locale simply because you failed to register and vote at your true domicile. Registering to vote is a serious matter which should only be done after proper reflection. It should be noted that there is no federal right to vote anywhere in the United States for the office of President. State laws control registration and voting and State residency requirements must be met.”

“We need and want all students to vote at their legal domicile.”

If your permanent residence is in another state, contact your home state’s election division to register and vote (absentee?) there.

The Comprehensive Guide to Moscow Nightlife

  • Posted on April 14, 2018 July 26, 2018

camper euroyacht 140

Moscow’s nightlife scene is thriving, and arguably one of the best the world has to offer – top-notch Russian women, coupled with a never-ending list of venues, Moscow has a little bit of something for everyone’s taste. Moscow nightlife is not for the faint of heart – and if you’re coming, you better be ready to go Friday and Saturday night into the early morning.

This comprehensive guide to Moscow nightlife will run you through the nuts and bolts of all you need to know about Moscow’s nightclubs and give you a solid blueprint to operate with during your time in Moscow.

What you need to know before hitting Moscow nightclubs

Prices in moscow nightlife.

Before you head out and start gaming all the sexy Moscow girls , we have to talk money first. Bring plenty because in Moscow you can never bring a big enough bankroll. Remember, you’re the man so making a fuzz of not paying a drink here or there will not go down well.

Luckily most Moscow clubs don’t do cover fees. Some electro clubs will charge 15-20$, depending on their lineup. There’s the odd club with a minimum spend of 20-30$, which you’ll drop on drinks easily. By and large, you can scope out the venues for free, which is a big plus.

Bottle service is a great deal in Moscow. At top-tier clubs, it starts at 1,000$. That’ll go a long way with premium vodka at 250$, especially if you have three or four guys chipping in. Not to mention that it’s a massive status boost for getting girls, especially at high-end clubs.

Without bottle service, you should estimate a budget of 100-150$ per night. That is if you drink a lot and hit the top clubs with the hottest girls. Scale down for less alcohol and more basic places.

Dress code & Face control

Door policy in Moscow is called “face control” and it’s always the guy behind the two gorillas that gives the green light if you’re in or out.

In Moscow nightlife there’s only one rule when it comes to dress codes:

You can never be underdressed.

People dress A LOT sharper than, say, in the US and that goes for both sexes. For high-end clubs, you definitely want to roll with a sharp blazer and a pocket square, not to mention dress shoes in tip-top condition. Those are the minimum requirements to level the playing field vis a vis with other sharply dressed guys that have a lot more money than you do. Unless you plan to hit explicit electro or underground clubs, which have their own dress code, you are always on the money with that style.

Getting in a Moscow club isn’t as hard as it seems: dress sharp, speak English at the door and look like you’re in the mood to spend all that money that you supposedly have (even if you don’t). That will open almost any door in Moscow’s nightlife for you.

Types of Moscow Nightclubs

In Moscow there are four types of clubs with the accompanying female clientele:

High-end clubs:

These are often crossovers between restaurants and clubs with lots of tables and very little space to dance. Heavy accent on bottle service most of the time but you can work the room from the bar as well. The hottest and most expensive girls in Moscow go there. Bring deep pockets and lots of self-confidence and you have a shot at swooping them.

Regular Mid-level clubs:

They probably resemble more what you’re used to in a nightclub: big dancefloors, stages and more space to roam around. Bottle service will make you stand out more but you can also do well without. You can find all types of girls but most will be in the 6-8 range. Your targets should always be the girls drinking and ideally in pairs. It’s impossible not to swoop if your game is at least half-decent.

Basic clubs/dive bars:

Usually spots with very cheap booze and lax face control. If you’re dressed too sharp and speak no Russian, you might attract the wrong type of attention so be vigilant. If you know the local scene you can swoop 6s and 7s almost at will. Usually students and girls from the suburbs.

Electro/underground clubs:

Home of the hipsters and creatives. Parties there don’t mean meeting girls and getting drunk but doing pills and spacing out to the music. Lots of attractive hipster girls if that is your niche. That is its own scene with a different dress code as well.

What time to go out in Moscow

Moscow nightlife starts late. Don’t show up at bars and preparty spots before 11pm because you’ll feel fairly alone. Peak time is between 1am and 3am. That is also the time of Moscow nightlife’s biggest nuisance: concerts by artists you won’t know and who only distract your girls from drinking and being gamed. From 4am to 6am the regular clubs are emptying out but plenty of people, women included, still hit up one of the many afterparty clubs. Those last till well past 10am.

As far as days go: Fridays and Saturdays are peak days. Thursday is an OK day, all other days are fairly weak and you have to know the right venues.

The Ultimate Moscow Nightclub List

Short disclaimer: I didn’t add basic and electro clubs since you’re coming for the girls, not for the music. This list will give you more options than you’ll be able to handle on a weekend.

Preparty – start here at 11PM

Classic restaurant club with lots of tables and a smallish bar and dancefloor. Come here between 11pm and 12am when the concert is over and they start with the actual party. Even early in the night tons of sexy women here, who lean slightly older (25 and up).

The second floor of the Ugolek restaurant is an extra bar with dim lights and house music tunes. Very small and cozy with a slight hipster vibe but generally draws plenty of attractive women too. A bit slower vibe than Valenok.

Very cool, spread-out venue that has a modern library theme. Not always full with people but when it is, it’s brimming with top-tier women. Slow vibe here and better for grabbing contacts and moving on.

camper euroyacht 140

High-end: err on the side of being too early rather than too late because of face control.

Secret Room

Probably the top venue at the moment in Moscow . Very small but wildly popular club, which is crammed with tables but always packed. They do parties on Thursdays and Sundays as well. This club has a hip-hop/high-end theme, meaning most girls are gold diggers, IG models, and tattooed hip hop chicks. Very unfavorable logistics because there is almost no room no move inside the club but the party vibe makes it worth it. Strict face control.

Close to Secret Room and with a much more favorable and spacious three-part layout. This place attracts very hot women but also lots of ball busters and fakes that will leave you blue-balled. Come early because after 4am it starts getting empty fast. Electronic music.

A slightly kitsch restaurant club that plays Russian pop and is full of gold diggers, semi-pros, and men from the Caucasus republics. Thursday is the strongest night but that dynamic might be changing since Secret Room opened its doors. You can swoop here but it will be a struggle.

camper euroyacht 140

Mid-level: your sweet spot in terms of ease and attractiveness of girls for an average budget.

Started going downwards in 2018 due to lax face control and this might get even worse with the World Cup. In terms of layout one of the best Moscow nightclubs because it’s very big and bottle service gives you a good edge here. Still attracts lots of cute girls with loose morals but plenty of provincial girls (and guys) as well. Swooping is fairly easy here.

I haven’t been at this place in over a year, ever since it started becoming ground zero for drunken teenagers. Similar clientele to Icon but less chic, younger and drunker. Decent mainstream music that attracts plenty of tourists. Girls are easy here as well.

Sort of a Coyote Ugly (the real one in Moscow sucks) with party music and lots of drunken people licking each others’ faces. Very entertaining with the right amount of alcohol and very easy to pull in there. Don’t think about staying sober in here, you’ll hate it.

Artel Bessonitsa/Shakti Terrace

Electronic music club that is sort of a high-end place with an underground clientele and located between the teenager clubs Icon and Gipsy. Very good music but a bit all over the place with their vibe and their branding. You can swoop almost any type of girl here from high-heeled beauty to coked-up hipsters, provided they’re not too sober.

camper euroyacht 140

Afterparty: if by 5AM  you haven’t pulled, it’s time to move here.

Best afterparty spot in terms of trying to get girls. Pretty much no one is sober in there and savage gorilla game goes a long way. Lots of very hot and slutty-looking girls but it can be hard to tell apart who is looking for dick and who is just on drugs but not interested. If by 9-10am you haven’t pulled, it is probably better to surrender.

The hipster alternative for afterparties, where even more drugs are in play. Plenty of attractive girls there but you have to know how to work this type of club. A nicer atmosphere and better music but if you’re desperate to pull, you’ll probably go to Miks.

Weekday jokers: if you’re on the hunt for some sexy Russian girls during the week, here are two tips to make your life easier.

Chesterfield

Ladies night on Wednesdays means this place gets pretty packed with smashed teenagers and 6s and 7s. Don’t pull out the three-piece suit in here because it’s a “simpler” crowd. Definitely your best shot on Wednesdays.

If you haven’t pulled at Chesterfield, you can throw a Hail Mary and hit up Garage’s Black Music Wednesdays. Fills up really late but there are some cute Black Music groupies in here. Very small club. Thursday through Saturday they do afterparties and you have an excellent shot and swooping girls that are probably high.

Shishas Sferum

This is pretty much your only shot on Mondays and Tuesdays because they offer free or almost free drinks for women. A fairly low-class club where you should watch your drinks. As always the case in Moscow, there will be cute girls here on any day of the week but it’s nowhere near as good as on the weekend.

camper euroyacht 140

In a nutshell, that is all you need to know about where to meet Moscow girls in nightlife. There are tons of options, and it all depends on what best fits your style, based on the type of girls that you’re looking for.
