10 Examples of Yachts With a Price Tag Over 100 Million Dollars

Not all yachts are created equally. These megayachts get their wealthy owners from more than just A to B.  Whether it is the size or just pure luxury, all ten of these come with a price tag of over $100 million dollars… and some well over.

1. The Rising Sun

Price: $200 million +

Owner:  Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle.

Size:  453 feet.

What’s Really Cool About it:  It can go up to 52km/hour which is pretty fast for a mega yacht of this size.  Larry Ellison is known for racing boats so he was sure to add some speed to his yacht.  It also has a basketball court on it, just in case you need a quick pick up game.

2. The Maltese Falcon

Price:~$225 million

Owner:  Tom Perkins, Venture Capitalist

Size:  289 ft.

What’s Really Cool About it:  It’s not only a stylish mega yacht, it is also a sailing yacht, that has two 1800 horsepower engines.

3. The Venus

Price: ~$126 million

Owner: The Late Steve Job’s family, he made the computer you’re on.

Size:  256 feet

What’s Really Cool About it:  This was Steve Job’s last project.

4. The Dilbar

Price:$263 million

Owner:  Alisher Usmanov

Size:  361 feet

What’s Really Cool About it: Has a helipad.

5. The Seven Seas

Price: ~$200 million

Owner:  Steven Spielberg

Size: 282 feet.

What’s Really Cool About it:  Movies available before release, in of course his indoor cinema.

Price: ~$350

Owner:   Sultan Qaboos of Oman

Size: 508 feet

What’s Really Cool About it: This is the third largest yacht in the world and decked out with luxury.

7. Shiek Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Yacht

Price: ~$300 million

Owner:  Shiek Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

Size: 525 feet.

What’s Really Cool About it:  The interior luxury is stunning.

8. The Eclipse

Price: $590 million

Owner:  Roman Abramovich

Size:  536 feet

What’s Really Cool About it:  At one point was the world’s biggest and most expensive yacht.  It has a missile defense system and a laser beam that will destroy the cameras of any paparazzi that try to get too close.

9. Super Yacht A

Price: $300 million

Owner:  Andrey Melnichenko

Size: 390 feet

What’s Really Cool About it:  Look at that design.  There is also a rumor of an escape pod just in case the Russian billionaire needs to escape for some reason…

10. Unknown 4.8 Billion Dollar Yacht

Price: $4.8 billion dollars.

Owner:  Rumored: Robert Kuok

Size:  Unknown

What’s Really Cool About it:  This is basically a total mystery.  It is known to be owned by a Malaysian businessman, only 3 of which are billionaires, so it is guessed that it is Robert Kuok, who has a net worth of 12.5 billion.  The luxury is what makes the price tag.  It supposedly is covered entirely in platinum gold and even has meteorite rocks embedded into.  You will have to let your imagination ride with this one.

9 The Rising Sun – 250 Millionen Euro

8 „A“ Motor-Yacht – 270 Millionen Euro

7 Dubai Yacht – 325 Millionen Euro

3 Serene Yacht – 500 Millionen Euro

Preis: 5 Millionen US-Dollar/Woche. Insgesamt finden 24 Gäste in 12 luxuriösen Kabinen Platz.

  • Erbauer: Blohm + Voss

For sale: Five yachts for sale under €5 million

Owning a luxury yacht doesn't have to cost you hundreds of millions. We shine a light on five standout superyachts currently listed for sale for less than €5 million to show you how much boat you can buy for just seven figures...

A finalist for the 2023 BOAT International Design and Innovation Awards in two separate categories – ‘Outstanding Exterior’ and ‘Best New Series’ – Edge sets a new standard for smart arrangement and extensive use of glass. The SARP Yachts build is a testament to synergetic style, showcasing naval architecture by Van Oossanen and interior and exterior by Red Yacht Design . Playing with light and visibility, integrated glass surrounds the entire saloon of the 25.9-metre motor yacht, allowing guests to soak up her natural surroundings and sea views.

Edge is asking €4,950,000 with Denison Yachting.

Spirit of Venice

A synthesis of high-quality materials along with a respect for tradition and history endow 27.3-metre Spirit of Venice with a classic masterpiece quality. Penned by Olivier van Meer , who also conducted the naval architecture, the yacht's interiors are characterised by traditional styling and showcase a collection of artworks. Thanks to her reduced draft, she can enter smaller harbours and shallow sailing areas, while her stern platform allows easy access for her tender to slide into the water. She was built by VMG Yachtbuilders and delivered in 2018.

Spirit of Venice is asking €2,100,000 with Northrop & Johnson.

Wally vessels are a major contender in the world of sailing – and Y3K sets her own pace with an impressive racing pedigree in superyacht regattas. She boasts three consecutive Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup trophies, in part thanks to her powerful sail plan (she flies 1,162 square metres of sail downwind). Her sleek racing lines are met with a flush teak-decked terrace-on-the-sea aft, creating the perfect spot to relax, even underway. Equipped with a full racing wardrobe and equipment, the 30.5m sloop is ready to race.

Y3K is asking €3,800,000 with Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage.

Delivered in 2021 by Italian shipyard Extra Yachts , 26-metre Haze sports a “penthouse feel” with a full-beam master suite and interior design by Lawson Robb . Modern lines and eco-focused photo-voltaic cells set the tone for the motor yacht’s exterior design, while entertainment facilities include a tiered 50-square-metre open-air beach club with shaded al fresco dining, an aft-facing sofa set-up and steps leading to a hydraulic swim platform.

Haze is asking €4,400,000 with Fraser.

The first catamaran built by JFA Yachts and the first project undertaken by naval architect Joubert-Nivelt, 25.6-metre Azizam is built to cruise the world’s oceans quickly, comfortably and safely. Encouraging an al fresco experience when sailing, the aft deck is well-covered with ample dining and lounging areas. Set apart from many other catamarans, Azizam'’ s port transom opens hydraulically to allow easy boarding from the tender, and it also doubles up as a large beach club and swim platform. Her collection of water toys encourages guests to spend hours on the water, before lounging on trampolines on the foredeck.

Azizam is asking €2,200,000 with Northrop & Johnson.

10 Wide-Body Yachts That are Changing the Face of Boat Design

For many yacht owners, the solution to finding more space aboard for friends and family is summed up by that immortal line by Chief Brody in Jaws : “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

Until now, bigger has typically meant longer. But that’s quickly changing as more and more builders are creating interior volume by going wider and taller. For disrupter builder Wally Yachts and its polarizing new Wallywhy 150—which refers to its internal volume rather than the boat’s length—the quirky design is said to deliver 50 percent more space than more traditional 78-footers.

Other builders like Princess have been in the game since 2021. Its X95 first appeared several years ago, effectively throwing down the gauntlet as a way forward for sub-100-foot yachts to supersize both interior and exterior volumes.

Since then, many other builders of small superyachts have jumped on board, with designs that typically have somewhat bloated profiles, far-forward main suites, and open transoms—features all designed to maximize space but minimize length.

Here are 10 new yachts 100 feet and under that are breaking the mold in an attempt to dominate the nautical space race.

wallywhy150

These 10 Pocket Superyachts Have Extraordinary Volumes Under 100 feet.

It’s no wonder that disrupter Italian builder Wally—now part of the Ferretti Group—calls its latest head-turner a “spaceship.” Claiming up to 50 percent more space than comparable 78-footers, the 150 (named after interior volume rather than length) has standout features like a main salon with over eight feet of headroom, and a beam of more than 22 feet. The pragmatic design includes a one-level main deck attached to an open rear cockpit that offers easy access to the water. Its most noteworthy feature is the rule-breaking, full-beam master suite tucked into the bow on the main deck. It has wraparound glass—stretching all the way around the bow—for panorama-like views from the main bedroom. Priced from about $6.7 million.

Lazzara UHV 87

yacht 100 millionen

Short for Ultra High Volume, this new Turkish-built pocket superyacht is a sistership to Lazzara’s UHV 100 and 125 models. The newest Lazzara boasts an impressive 2,153 square feet of interior space in its 87-foot length. Arguably, the boat is not pretty in a classic sense. The towering hull sides, blunt, plumb bow, and dark-tinted glass make it look more like a dinner cruiser than a mini-superyacht. But the interior space is astonishing, from the cavernous Sky Lounge, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, to the salon with a separate, chandelier-lit dining area and chef’s galley. With a fuel capacity of 3,000 gals, the twin 1,000 hp Volvo D13s deliver a top speed of 16 knots. The boat also has transatlantic range. Base price starts at about $10.9 million.

Sunseeker 100 Yacht

yacht 100 millionen

Movie nights under the stars should have a whole new appeal aboard UK builder Sunseeker’s brand-new 98-footer. Lie back on the yacht’s extra-wide foredeck sunpad and watch the latest blockbuster on a 140-inch screen with laser projection. Or, if you’re the lucky owner, stargaze from your private terrace tucked away in the bow, just steps from the full-beam main-deck master suite, with atrium-style glass sliding doors. One of the best innovations here is the wide, uninterrupted walkway around the entire top deck, which provides safe, easy access from the flybridge to the forward entertaining space. With its twin 2,600 hp V16 MTU diesels, top speed is an impressive 29 knots. Priced from about $10.5 million.

Azimut Grande 26M

yacht 100 millionen

For its brand-new Grande 26M compact superyacht, Italian builder Azimut has gone extra wide to create massive interior and exterior spaces. Spatial highlights include a full-width flybridge that’s almost 20 feet across and close to 40 feet long, and a foredeck entertaining area that seems more like an outdoor patio. The Alberto Mancini-styled go-fast cruiser is crammed with space-enhancing innovations, such as a teak-decked garage door that, at the touch of a button, hinges upwards to extend the rear cockpit by almost five feet. New ZF pod drives coupled to the yacht’s twin 1,650 hp MAN V12 diesels also save space. It is priced from about $6.2 million.

Princess X95

10 Wide-Body Yachts That are Changing the Face of Boat Design

As we said during our 2021 tour of Britain’s Princess Yachts’ tri-deck X95 “When it comes to the polarizing, head-spinning design, there are no half-measures, no in-betweens. You either love it. Or loathe it.” But what those eye-popping lines hide is perhaps the most spacious 95-foot luxury cruiser in the category. Reckoned to be some 40 percent roomier than cruisers with the same length, the X95 has stretch-out accommodations for up to 10 in five cabins and living spaces that rival most apartments. The flybridge covers almost the entire length of the yacht. The 100 is also fast, with twin 1,990 hp MAN V12s delivering a top speed of 23 knots. Prices start at about $12 million.

Extra X96 Triplex

yacht 100 millionen

This broad-beamed 96-footer is from the Italian builder Extra Yachts, which is part of the Palumbo Superyachts Group. While it’s called the Triplex, there are actually four levels if you include the cozy upper sundeck with its outdoor kitchen, dining area, and oversized sunpads. The exterior comes courtesy of Italian designer Francesco Guida, while interiors are by Milan-based Hot Labs. Both teams have made the most of the yacht’s class-leading 25-foot beam. Notable features include a vast full-beam master on the main level and an upper salon dedicated entirely to dining, with a table for 10, an open chef’s galley, and an adjoining outdoor bar. Twin Volvo IPS1350s deliver a 16.5-knot top speed. Priced from $12 million.

Sunreef 100

yacht 100 millionen

This Sunreef power catamaran’s beam spans a staggering 44 feet, offering the kind of interior and exterior spaces you only get with superyachts twice the length. Every element of the yacht is XXL-size—from the massive hydraulic swim platform to the full-width flybridge that covers almost 1,000 square feet. Down in the salon is a huge 11-seat U-shaped bar that would delight any mixologist. The five staterooms in the twin hulls have space for 10. A pair of 1,300 hp MAN V8 diesels delivers a six-knot top speed. It is priced from about $15.3 million.

Absolute Navetta 75

yacht 100 millionen

In Italian, the word “navetta” translates to “little ship.” Which is a perfect description for Absolute’s new 75-foot fast cruiser. It’s an evolution of the strong-selling Navetta 73 but with nearly two feet of extra length. The yacht’s expansive interior volumes will remain the same, with features like a forward master stateroom on its own level that has a private entrance steps away from the main salon. The salon features floor-to-ceiling glass, with full views of the water, courtesy of open bulwarks. Twin 1,000 hp Volvo IPS1350 diesels deliver a top speed of 25 knots. Pricing starts at about $4 million.

Arcadia A96

yacht 100 millionen

Cross a spacious Miami high-rise penthouse with a Canyon Ranch spa and the result could be this new 96-foot superyacht from Italian builder Arcadia. Boasting a remarkable 4,300 square feet of total living space, there’s room for 12 guests and five crew. And the living spaces even expand, courtesy of fold-down terraces in the main salon and on the rear deck. But the yacht’s focus on wellness and healthy living sets it apart. That expansive, teak-decked foredeck, spanning over 500 square feet, is perfect for yoga sessions or meditation, while the cockpit and beach club offer another 1,000 square feet of social space. For extra peace and quiet at anchor, solar panels can provide up to nine hours of generator-free power.

Numarine 26XP Fast

yacht 100 millionen

Think of it as offering pace, with space. Turkish yard Numarine has been building its bold 85-foot 26XP explorer style mini-superyacht since 2018, but later this year, it will launch the U.S.-focused 26XP Fast. Instead of slow-churning 435 hp diesels and nine-knot cruising, it’s bolting-in a pair of mighty 1,800 hp MAN V12s and modifying the hull to deliver a top speed of 31 knots. What hasn’t changed is the XP’s cavernous interior and expensive deck space. Take the top-deck flybridge which, thanks to the yacht’s 21-foot beam and far-forward helm, spans over 700 square feet. That space will include a dining table for eight, a full outdoor kitchen, and more lounges than a Saint-Tropez beach bar. Prices start from $6.95 million.

Beautiful boat

Very impressed with the quality of this boat. The spec is top of the line and we'll maintained. The toilets are fresh & clean. The route on the river through Moscow takes in many of the iconic sites of Moscow and is a great introduction. The food was nice. Wide selection. Service was pleasant. Get the iPod with audio for some interesting commentary. I recommend the 2 1/2 hour trip.

We had it today. Nice views and a fun way to see the city. We also had some pasta and drinks, which were ok. Service was very nice. Shame we didn't know that the tour from Gorky Park is just half way - lasts about 1.5 hour. If we knew we would start at Ukraina hotel.

Dear Paweł S, thank you for the feedback about your cruise on the yacht "Radisson Royal". Flotilla “Radisson Royal” has 10 perfectly equipped yachts designed for year-round entertaining excursion cruises on the Moscow River with restaurant service aboard. Our company organizes cruises 365 days a year. The standard return route from Gorky Park Pier to Hotel Ukraina Pier lasts two and a half hours with the pivot closer to the business center "Moscow-city" to the Kotelnicheskaya embankment without any stops. On weekends the departure time is at four p.m. and eight p.m. The boarding starts thirty minutes before the departure.

When I got on Radisson's cruise boats, I thought that it's a normal, boring river cruise, but 10 minutes later I found out I was totally wrong. What a beautiful view of the historical buildings of Moscow!!!! The statue that hung in the middle of Moskva River is amasing. Service is acceptable and waiters/waitresses are freindly and the food is in good quality.

Went with business group on dinner cruise, with guide. Really enjoyed the views after dark - seeing Red Square/The Kremlin from this vantage was great. And being on the top deck to view with no obstructions was worth the cold wind ! Kind of hard to eat and see the views at the same time, but the food was nothing special so we focused on the views. Service fine but not notable. Guide might as well have been a pre-recorded piece as there was no attempt to engage us - and it was hard to tell what building or view she was referring to as she just sort of looked in the direction of the item and spoke with monotone voice. Go for the views, not the food or service.

Hello, dear lbes! Thank you for the feedback about your cruise on the yacht "Radisson Royal". Unfortunately, due to the nature of the rolling stock, the menu is presented on the yacht, may not be as diverse and exquisite in the filing, copyright in stationary restaurants. Great boat ride - see all the sights. The food is way better than you expect on a riverboat. This is a great 3 hour ride through Moscow with too many sights and views to name individually - take your camera!

It would be great to arrive before departure time inorder to enjoy your dinner. And spend the rest of the trip enjoying the scenic views. Our waiter was a gentleman. He spoke broken English. But he made great effort to explain some of the important buildings as we passed by. He made sure that our little girl was treated like a princess. If we travel back to Moscow we will have a day trip and an evening trip. We selected the Royal class.

Lords pass five amendments to Rwanda bill in heavy defeat for Rishi Sunak

Peers, including senior Tories, vote by margins of about 100 votes for changes to legislation, which will have to go back to Commons

Rishi Sunak has suffered his heaviest defeat in the House of Lords after the archbishop of Canterbury and former Conservative ministers joined forces with the opposition to force through five amendments to the Rwandan deportation bill.

The string of government setbacks, most passed by unusually large margins of about 100 votes, means the legislation, which aims to clear the way to send asylum seekers on a one-way flight to Kigali, will have to go back to the Commons.

The prime minister has previously warned the unelected chamber against frustrating the “will of the people” by hampering the passage of his safety of Rwanda (asylum and immigration) bill, which has been approved by MPs.

Sunak has made “stopping the boats” a key pledge of his leadership. However, he has been hit by several setbacks including the bill being challenged in the courts. Last week, official auditors said it will cost £1.8m to send each of 300 migrants to Rwanda.

The draft legislation and a treaty with Rwanda are intended to prevent further legal challenges to the stalled deportation scheme after the supreme court ruled the plan was unlawful .

As well as compelling judges to regard the east African country as safe, it would give ministers the power to ignore emergency injunctions. It has been warned that the legislation is “fundamentally incompatible” with the UK’s human rights obligations and would flout international law.

But Downing Street has said the government remains committed to sending flights to Rwanda “in the spring”.

In all, peers backed five changes to the bill on Monday night, including ensuring it complied with the rule of law and that parliament cannot declare Rwanda to be safe until the treaty with its promised safeguards is fully implemented.

The Lords also supported a move that would allow the presumption the country is a secure haven to be challenged in the courts.

Justin Welby, the archbishop of Canterbury

Among those to vote against the government were the Most Rev Justin Welby and Conservative grandees Ken Clarke, Lord Deben and Viscount Hailsham, who have all previously held Cabinet positions.

The size of the defeats raise the prospect of an extended tussle between the Commons and Lords during “ping-pong”, in which legislation is batted between the two houses until agreement is reached.

The barrister and independent crossbencher David Anderson said the provision in the bill requiring Rwanda to be treated as safe “takes us for fools”.

Proposing an amendment that would allow the presumption to be challenged in the courts, Lord Anderson added: “If Rwanda is safe as the government would have us declare, it has nothing to fear from such scrutiny.

“Yet we are invited to adopt a fiction, to wrap it in the cloak of parliamentary sovereignty and to grant it permanent immunity from challenge. To tell an untruth and call it truth. Why would we go along with that?”

Welby said international human rights law had developed following the horrors committed by Nazi Germany, to act as a “fallback” and “stop” on governments. “We are not in any situation remotely like that, let’s be clear,” the archbishop added.

“The government is not doing something on the scale of what we saw at that stage, but the government is challenging the right of international law to constrain our actions.

Lord Clarke, the former chancellor, said he hoped there would be a legal challenge to the bill if it was passed. “I cannot recall a precedent in my time where a government of any complexion have produced a bill which asserts a matter of fact – facts to be fact,” he said.

Later, responding to concerns about the mental health support asylum seekers would receive in Rwanda, the Home Office minister Andrew Sharpe said: “It would be far in the best interests, mental health interests of those seeking asylum, and who are victims, to seek asylum in the first safe country they came to.”

The government faces the threat of further defeats on Wednesday when the bill is again before the Lords.

The UK and France are planning to establish a new customs partnership designed to disrupt the supply chain of small boats in the Channel.

James Cleverly, the home secretary, hosted a meeting in Brussels on Monday of the Calais Group of northern European countries. They plan to disrupt the supply chain of boat parts including engines and building materials.

Trump wants a 78% discount on his bond while he appeals the massive $454 million judgment against him

  • Donald Trump offered to post a $100 million bond as he appeals his fraud trial loss.
  • The judgment against him, the Trump Organization, and other executives stands at $454 million.
  • Bond companies typically don't like dealing with real estate as collateral, an expert told Business Insider.

Insider Today

Donald Trump is pleading poverty.

The former president's lawyers said in a court filing Wednesday that he's prepared to post a $100 million bond to stop the enforcement of the New York attorney general's massive court victory against him in a sprawling civil fraud trial, multiple media outlets reported.

That would be a 78% discount on the $454 million judgment Trump, his company, and others owe after his court loss.

Arthur Engoron, the New York judge who oversaw the trial against Trump, issued his judgment earlier in February . Engoron found Trump liable for fraudulently misrepresenting his assets for bank loans, insurance, and tax filings and said the Trump Organization should be disgorged of ill-gotten gains.

Trump is appealing the case. But appellants typically still need to pony up funds to prevent New York Attorney General Letitia James from collecting the judgment — which could mean her seizing some of his jewel properties, including possibly Trump Tower or 40 Wall Street in Manhattan. The judgment amount has continued to grow with $112,000 in interest every day.

After an emergency hearing on Wednesday, a judge for the appellate court paused most of Engoron's order. The judge, Anil C. Singh, denied an interim pause on the "enforcement of the monetary judgment," but agreed to pause other parts of Engoron's order, such as the restrictions on Trump's ability to do business in New York.

To stop the enforcement of the judgment, Trump could put up the money in cash, or he could obtain a bond through a licensed bond company and offer some of his assets as collateral. Trump could also appeal again to New York's highest court, the Court of Appeals.

The offer of only $100 million indicates he doesn't have the cash and has been unable to strike a deal with a bond company, according to The New York Times .

A recent Bloomberg analysis found that Trump had about $600 million in combined liquid assets, which includes cash and stocks. He also owes $83.3 million that he must put up while he appeals a jury verdict against him in a defamation case from E. Jean Carroll. Trump's social media company, Truth Social, has a SPAC merger on the horizon that could give him an infusion of funds, according to The New York Times.

But much of Trump's assets are in real estate. Mark Zauderer, a New York litigator who has secured appeal bonds for past business clients, told Business Insider that bond companies are hesitant to use properties as securities. Ownership stakes could be opaque, and it's cumbersome to get a mortgage and go through the foreclosure process.

"Suppose Trump says, 'Well, I'll give you 40 Wall Street.' Who knows whether he really owns 40 Wall Street?" Zauderer, of the firm Dorf Nelson & Zauderer, told Business Insider. "He may be a partner in a partnership that owns it, or a shareholder."

In its filing Wednesday, lawyers for the New York attorney general's office asked the appellate court to force Trump to obtain a full bond, and expressed concern that he would "attempt to evade enforcement of the judgment."

"There is no merit to defendants' contention that a full bond or deposit is unnecessary because they are willing to post a partial undertaking of less than a quarter of the judgment amount," they wrote. "Defendants all but concede that Mr. Trump has insufficient liquid assets to satisfy the judgment."

This story has been updated with the decision from the appeals court.

Demolition of Cape Coral's Yacht Club slated for April will cost almost $1 million

The city of Cape Coral is preparing for the demolition of the Yacht Club and its facilities in April as it awaits permits.

Cape Coral's Yacht Club Community Park , which includes a yacht basin, tennis courts, a swimming pool, a ballroom, and a beach, has served as a popular attraction and staple for the city since the 1960s but is set to undergo major renovations.

"It should start in April," said David Hyyti, interim director of capital improvements, during a committee of the whole meeting on Wednesday.

Demolition of the Yacht Club was previously set for late December/January. Despite plans for its renovation, Hurricane Ian on September 28, 2022, demolished the buildings and shoreline, requiring a massive change in plans.

Here's what we know:

What are the current plans for the Yacht Club?

The city had planned  in early 2022 to close the park for two years  for renovations that included replacing the seawalls and marina wet slips, replacing the harbormaster building and boat ramp, and building a three-story parking garage and beach restrooms. The beach would also be expanded, and utilities relocated.

Then Hurricane Ian struck, delaying plans, and shuttering the beach for more than a year.

Since that time, Kimley Horn, a consulting firm focusing on public and private developments, has been working with the city to revamp renovations.

These plans now include a new two-story community center to replace the ballroom, removing the tennis courts, rearranging the area to accommodate a four-story parking garage, a new restaurant, and a new resort-style pool.

Previous discussions  said the project could cost up to $100 million.

Previous Coverage Cape Coral set final site plan for the Yacht Club; timeline for renovations still shaky

Who has been contracted?

Johnson-Laux Construction, a full-service construction management firm that operates out of Winter Garden, has been contracted for the demolition and deconstruction of the Yacht Club.

The firm is also tasked with preserving a portion of the old ballroom building, which includes interior ceiling beams, stonework, a fountain, and the front glass doors with the Yacht Club written on them.

What will it cost?

A contract was awarded to the construction firm on Feb 26 after piggybacking off other entities' existing contracts for a fixed price of $987,716.04.

How long will it take?

Once the permits from the Army Corps of Engineers and the Florida Department of Environmental Protections are approved, work will begin within 30 days and take 60 days to complete.

Construction will not affect the now-open beach area.

If the work starts in April, complete demolition could be finished by July or August.
