GERMAN YACHT

She was built between 2002 and 2004 in Germany by Cassens Werft, under the supervision of Germanischer Lloyd. ACCOMMODATES 40 GUESTS

With twenty (20) cabins, accommodating up to forty (40) guests, and fully-equipped with futuristic technology and every modern feature, the Giga yacht has been designed to cater to the most discerning corporate clients as a superior conference and business venue. Of course, this does not mean her creature comforts have been overlooked. Where there is work there must also be play, and this yacht boasts a full range of watersports equipment, massage and beauty salons, spas, Jacuzzi, sauna, and gym to cater to every private or corporate guest’s needs.

COCKTAIL RECEPTIONS

Guests can sink into luxurious Alcantara leather sofas in the main saloon (living room). This room has soft lighting and soothing art for relaxation.  Music from an Ottomeister grand #piano is the perfect backdrop for a cocktail reception. Guests enjoy live music as they mingle, sip exotic drinks, and sample the delicious canapés. In specific, prepared by the yacht’s five-star Italian Chefs. The focal point of the main lounge is the bar.  Magnificent Rosenthal glass sculptures frame the bar, leading out to the ample aft deck.  The dining room features unique artwork and warm mahogany.  Place settings of silver cutlery are from Sambonet of Italy and Carrs of London.  In addition, fine bone china crockery and crystal glassware are designed exclusively for the yacht by Rosenthal.

OWNER’S SUITE

The main owner’s suite is 78 square meters.  It includes a separate conference room, lounge, dressing room, and walk-in wardrobe.  Additionally, a spacious bathroom ensuite boasting a lovely full-sized marble Jacuzzi tub.  The yacht has 3 VIP cabins, all 48 square meters in size.  Each has a salon as well as an ensuite bathroom. The mega yacht has an additional, equally luxurious 10 guest cabins. These are 38 square meters in size.  Important to note, equal in superior amenities to the larger VIP Suites. Finally, there are 10 more staterooms. Each is 19 square meters in size. These offer charter guests adjustable twin/double beds, ensuite bathrooms, and computers. In addition, a multimedia entertainment package and mini-bar in each.

SUITE AMENITIES

All suites have 2 TV screens, Mac Mini equipment, a music library, and a movies library.  The yacht offers numerous 50-inch plasma Televisions and multimedia systems throughout the vessel. The Music library includes an International selection of 10,000 songs, and the Movie library has 800 movies.

Motor Yacht

Luxury motor yacht Lauren L is an impressively spacious and exceptionally serviced superyacht built in 2002 by German company Cassens-Werft. With a steel hull and superstructure, the motor yacht features interior and exterior design by Alpha Marine. Formally known as Sun Bay II and Constellation, she measures 90 metres and can accommodate up to 40 guests.

Lauren L started life as a 100-passenger cruise vessel. She was purchased by Russian oil magnate Mikhail Khodorkovsky to be used as a floating headquarters though she never actually was. The late Andreas Liveras re-named her Lauren L and completely converted her adding a large master suite and spa as well as moving the helicopter pad to the fore deck so that tenders could be stored on the bridge deck aft.

The motor yacht can accommodate parties of up to 150 and cruises comfortably at 14 knots. A crew of 31 is available to ensure the needs of all guests are met during yacht charters. Featuring a dedicated crew and a wide range of onboard facilities and water toys, she is a top charter yacht for luxury family holidays, corporate groups or as a conference venue.

Amongst her 20 cabins are eight double staterooms each with en suite and salon; 10 double/twin suites with en suite and saloon; a 100-square-metre master suite with dressing room, bathroom, separate Jacuzzi and salon; and a double VIP suite with walk-in-wardrobes, bathroom and salon.

Boasting a full range of exciting entertainment options, Lauren L features a helipad, Lido Bar and beauty centre including Jacuzzi, sauna, Steam room, Gym, Aromatherapy, Relaxation Room with aquarium, Hair & Nail Saloon and Massage Room among her extensive list of amenities. You will also find onboard a spacious conference room, library, conference centre and formal dining room.

Lauren L is equipped with an entire armada of water toys to provide endless hours of entertainment during any yacht charter. Water toys include water skis, Jet Skis, windsurfing, tubsters, wake boards, thrashers, bananas, fly fishing equipment, a water sledge, diving equipment, sport shooting equipment, two Solemar B28 offshore tenders, and a Sea Doo Bombardier 200 horse power speed boat. There is also a Bauer dive compressor on board.

For entertainment back on the yacht deck, Lauren L carries a collection of board games and features a digital television with over 50 satellite channels, digital on-demand services with at least 600 movies and 10,000 songs, while every cabin also includes a digital TFT television set and a personal computer with full internet services.

The vessel calls the port of Monaco home during the summer but docks in the Caribbean in the winter. In the summer months the motor yacht sails the West Mediterranean, covering the Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia. Winter sees her sailing the Caribbean, covering the Virgin Islands, Leeward Islands and the Windward Islands.

Lauren L runs with a full charter crew of 45 members which offers a great crew-to-guest ratio and guaranteeing your group an excellent level of service.

Captain Brent Chapman has been working at sea for almost 30 years. As a Master Mariner, he has some incredible experiences including commanding the Smithsonian Institution’s research ship, tall ships, passenger ships and late in 2006, he turned to the mega-yacht industry. Brent joined Lauren L in December of 2012, having previously been in command of various charter and private yachts worldwide. His interests include audiophile music systems, riding motorcycles, skiing, flying airplanes and diving – both scuba and skydiving!

Lauren L. is an exquisite statement sailing yacht – years ahead of her time she is a blend of a vision from one of the most successful building architects, Donald Gibbs, collaborating with the brilliant sailing mind of Ron Holland. Donald Gibbs conceived a cruising sailboat and unleashed a small fortune to develop and build (a five year construction period) Lauren L. to his exacting standards. At the time, Ron Holland was deeply immersed in the America’s Cup campaign as hull designer for New Zealand. As a result of the tank testing Holland provided an innovative new keel design.

The 90m/295ft luxury yacht ‘Lauren L’  is fresh from a refit of her main salon, master suite and VIP staterooms.

Thanks to Mokka Design and Elysee Yachts Ltd, Lauren L now features brighter, more contemporary interior spaces, which retain their grand, stately aura.

In the main salon, navy blue and gold settees have been replaced by powder blue sofas and armchairs, and light blue and cream flooring has taken the place of dated navy and gold patterned carpets.

Gone too are the matching curtains. Instead roll-up blinds frame the windows, which creates a more modern look as well as allowing more natural light to flow into the salon.

Meanwhile, the master stateroom has been spruced up with new upholstery. Cream damask-patterned curtains match the luxe bed linen, and the carpets have been refreshed. Powder blue armchairs are also new additions.

A huge transformation can be seen in the VIP cabin of charter yacht Lauren L. The carpet is no longer red and gold, but boasts soft blue and cream hues, and the gold bed linen has been replaced by an elegant cream option.

The new look of these staterooms provides a much more peaceful, calming vibe and the corridors have also been re-vamped to adhere to this theme.

The project took place in Athens, Greece , and was overseen by Titan Fleet Management. The next round of work will see an overhaul of the yacht’s dining room. Yacht Charter Fleet will keep you updated on the developments.

Alongside a master suite and VIP cabin, there are three executive suites and 15 double cabins, 10 of which feature adjustable twin bed facilities. Special amenities include a fully-equipped gymnasium, health and beauty salon, and business centre.

Perfect for an event charter due to her capacity to hold up to 300 guests at port, M/Y Lauren L is available for charter in the Caribbean as well as in less well-travelled destinations such as Brazil, Panama and Costa Rica .

The guest accommodation continues to impress with a 60sqm VIP stateroom, ten double/twin cabins and a further five double suites. Vessel Performance

One of the many advantages of Lauren L is that her range is limited only by your imagination! Some smaller sailing vessels may not be able to venture to the seas where Lauren L will be able to take you in comfort. The headsail is a carbon /mylar sail. She is designed to be sailed with minimal crew and set up with hydraulics that will simplify your sailing experience. The Barient hydraulic winches and Maxwell anchor windlass are driven from the main engine hydraulic pump or can be hooked up to a separate 24V hydraulic system depending on which suits you best. The unique and innovative keel design means that she cuts through the water easily and if you are not looking at her while she passes, any evidence she was there at all quickly vanishes.

Accommodation, Comfort, and Interior

When you purchase a large yacht, you want to know you are getting something special. Lauren L more than delivers on this and once you’ve experienced what she has to offer, you’ll never settle for anything less. Lauren L is able to sleep up to 8 guests. The master bedroom offers a luxurious queen-sized bed and a modern aesthetic in line with the rest of the vessel. You will find cedar-built furnishings along with an en-suite with a shower and vacuflush toilet. The expansive windows afford you a 180-degree view of the outside world. The two guest staterooms are located forward of the mast and mirror each other. Each room can accommodate up to three people with a double lower bunk and single upper bunk. The lower bunks in each room can also fold into a couch with incredible ease for your guests. The rooms are all fitted with AC and fans for great ventilation and the guest rooms are even equipped with two sinks and a shower. Once up, you can prepare for the day ahead in the huge main salon with the rest of the party.

The main salon offers an incredibly spacious area and views to match that, putting you  IN  the world in which you find yourself. The dining room can be converted to an easier coffee table and easily seats up to 14 people, there is no shortage of space on Lauren L. The salon area comes fully equipped with a TV, wine cooler, ice maker, heating, air conditioning, a writing desk, full room length couches, and communications systems. The galley is also located here which is fitted with all of the practical appliances that you could ever need: microwave oven, cold plate system freezer, refrigerator, wine cooler, propane stove and oven, and even a trash compactor!

The last thing to mention of the interior, comfort, and style of Lauren L is the wheelhouse. Where the magic happens.
