Located just north of the Andaman Sea , about 60 km off the coast of Khao Lak, Similan National Park comprises 9 ​amazing islands.

With speedboats from Phuket, it is a short trip that takes just 1 hour and 15 minutes. Nothing separates the coast from the Similan Islands , but when on the horizon you see the first islands the view will leave you breathless. The water is crystal clear and the seabed is rich in corals and several species of colorful fishes. As you approach the white beaches you’ll realize even more how clear is the water in this place, like a big, natural pool. The vegetation that surrounds these islands is lush and emerald green which makes it, even more, the blue sea and the blinding white of fine beaches.

Its famous scenic viewpoint on island number 9 offers a stunning view of the endless horizon, and from that point, the boats, anchored to the buoys several hundred meters from the beach, seem suspended in space.

During the day, we will stop for some snorkeling in the most beautiful spots of Similan Islands Park. Here, with a little luck, you can meet one of the many turtles swimming close to the people or you even can see dolphins jumping and playing curious about tourists.

One Day Tour to Similan Islands by catamaran or speed boat

You'll start your trip from the pier on Phuket on speed boat or catamaran (you can choose 1-story catamaran for 60 people or 2-stories for 120 people), in about 2 hours you'll enjoy snorkeling close to the Similan Islands. You'll visit all the islands and have lunch on one of them during this trip. We organize the journey every day with our guide.

Similan Islands are located 84 km northwest of Phuket. Koh Similan is one of the best-known island groups in the Andaman Sea, largely because of the wonders that wait beneath the clear blue waters that surround it. Generally counted among the 10 most interesting dive areas in the world, this little archipelago has also become a favourite destination for yachts and tour boats.

"Similan" is derived from the Malay sembilan, and means "nine". Each of the Similan Islands has a number as well as a name. These are, running from north to south: Koh Ba Ngu (No. 9), Similan (No. 8), Payu (No. 7), Miang (No. 4, No. 5 and, in some opinion, No. 6), Payan (No. 3), Payang (No. 2), and Hu Yong (No. 1). Hin Pousar, or "Elephant Head Rock", is alternatively designated No. 6 by some. Koh Bon, lying 17 miles north of Ba Ngu, is part of the Similan National Park and may be granted honorary status as No. 10. In fact, in terms of both marine life and bottom topography, there's more variety than you'll find in most other dive destinations around the world. The Similan Islands has almost everything - coral walls (if we count Koh Bon, to the north, as one of the Similans), big rocks, huge sea fans and barrel sponges, caves, swim-throughs, and plenty of shallows for snorkeling as well.

More than 200 species of hard coral have been identified in this area, while these islands have the greatest profusion of reef fish in Thai waters.

Please note that the Similan islands are officially open to the public from 15 October until 15 May, but dates may vary each year. They are closed for stay at night.

• 14.15 Arrive Donald Duck Bay on Similan Island (island 8) where you can relax on the beach, swim, take pictures or clamber up to a view point on the top of a Boat rock. You can also take a shower and change your clothes on this island.
• 15.00 Depart Similan island (island 8) and head back to private pier.

Pick up from your Phuket hotel lobby / Khaolak Hotel.   Arrive safely to “Tablamu Pier” with a smile.

Check-in – Arrive at the pier for check-in and enjoy light breakfast, such as sandwich, fresh fruit juice, tea and coffee.

Introduce our loving – nature tour guide & get ready for hopping on the boat – Program briefing from our tour guide on coral-friendly tour including details and safety instructions on board, full of smiles and laugh.

Let’s start!  – Hop on our first class speedboat and head for Similan Islands

Donald Duck Bay Similan Island (Island No.8) – Let’s do some hiking to the famous symbolic Sail-Rock for amazing scenery and worth a 100+ likes Instagram shot. After hiking, white sand beach is perfect for relaxing, swimming and sunbathing for beautiful sun-kissed skin.

1st snorkeling spot at Ba Ngu Island (Island No.9) – It’s snorkeling time! Let’s explore the breathtaking Coral Bay, the best place to see all different kinds of fish in colorful sightseeing underwater world.

Lunch time – Enjoy a home cooked delicious Thai lunch and fresh fruits on the island with the most beautiful white sand beach in Thailand.

Take a rest at Mieng Island (Island No.4)  – Visit and enjoy the gorgeous beach of the Honeymoon Bay & Princess Bay for more scenic photos and relaxing time.

2nd snorkeling spot  – Finding Nemo! Arriving at the snorkeling point at Payu Island (Island No.7) where sea turtles and clown fish (Nemo) are often sighted.

Time to say goodbye.  – Heading back from Similan Islands to our pier.
