At 85 meters, the large luxury yacht Gigia (ex Areti) has a young and sporty profile. Winch Design was responsible for both the stunning exterior and the harmonious interior. The bespoke vessel, delivered in 2017, features a subtle cream hull with white superstructure and whisper grey accents. With a broad beam of almost 15 meters, she has a very spacious layout, which has been consistently designed for use by family and friends. The atmosphere is intimate and cosy, despite the large volume. The design is in line with the Passenger Yacht Code, with a precise and perfectly balanced signature, complemented by a traditional but fresh interior with an American classic twist.

Lürssen delivers 85m superyacht Areti

The 85 metre  Lürssen  superyacht  Areti  was successfully delivered to her owner earlier this week (July 19), the German yard has confirmed. She will spend her debut season cruising the Mediterranean before attending the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show .

Areti 's steel hull and aluminium superstructure were built to DNV GL standards and the whole project is PYC compliant, meaning up to 18 guests can be accommodated in nine cabins. It is understood that she will be flagged in the Cayman Islands and her interior volume totals 2,850GT.

Exterior styling is courtesy of British studio  Winch Design , with a cream-coloured hull, white superstructure and grey accents. Winch also developed Areti 's interior décor, which is described as "traditional but fresh" — key materials include neutral fabrics and lavish woodwork.

These latest photos showcase her design attributes, with a large, cat-eye shaped section of glazing along the main deck and a curvaceous superstructure. A pair of dramatic superyacht staircases lead down from the aft deck to the large swim platform, and the cutout section in the bow hints at a foredeck tender garage  beneath the fully-certified helipad.

In a statement, the yard added: "Project Sasha is a voluminous yacht featuring a large master suite and eight spacious guest cabins. A luxurious spa accommodating a sauna, hammam, jacuzzi pool and full depth plunge pool on the lower aft deck present a relaxed outdoor space with a light and open beach club. Private exterior decks create the perfect retreat for the guests."

Areti  ranks among  the world's top 200 largest superyachts , with an LOA of 85 metres, but she is not one of the  10 biggest Lürssen superyachts  ever built. Top spot, of course, goes to the  world’s largest yacht , the 180 metre  Azzam .

Other projects currently under development at the German yard include Project Thunder , which was launched earlier this year with an LOA in excess of 120 metres.

Lürssen Delivers Superyacht Areti

After completing sea trials, Lürssen delivered the 279-foot Areti last Wednesday, so the owner can spend the summer in the Mediterranean. The newest Lürssen will make its public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. Winch Design , responsible for both the interior and exterior, gave Areti a quasi-classical profile, with a high-riding forward section and tall radar tower on the sundeck. The hull is cream-colored, balanced nicely by the white superstructure and gray accents. Areti ’s owner chose this color scheme to match his previous yachts.

The yacht was built to the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC), which allows for more than 12 passengers. Areti has eight guest staterooms and a full-beam master suite on the main deck. The owner worked closely with Winch designers to create an interior with lavish woodwork and neutral fabrics, and entertainment areas with a “beach-chic vibe,” as Lürssen describes it. The spa, for instance, has a sauna, hot tub, full-depth plunge pool, relaxation area, and “experience” shower (with multi-temperature water jets, chromatherapy lights, and aromatherapy scents). The spa connects to the large swim platform at the transom for the full ocean experience.

Winch also designed in a number of private deck spaces for the owners and guests to enjoy the yacht without intrusion. The owner’s suite has its own forward deck, with Jacuzzi and sunbed, along with a breakfast table. Areti also has a helipad in the bow, allowing easy transfers for the owners and guests.

The owner, chairman of a Russian natural gas conglomerate, had owned three other Aretis before this one. He kept Areti I and Areti II (identical 127-foot yachts built by Burger Boat Co.) in the Mediterranean and the United States so he would have one on each continent. Later, he took delivery of the 198-foot Areti from Trinity Yachts , the largest all-aluminum yacht the U.S. shipyard has built. This larger, bespoke Lürssen Areti promises to open a new yachting chapter for the owner and his family.

The 38.61m/126'8" motor yacht 'Areti' (ex. Areti I) was built by Burger in the United States at their Manitowoc, Wisconsin shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Burger and she was delivered to her owner in December 2007. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Burger.

Guest Accommodation

Areti has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3508B-DITA) 8-cylinder 1,300hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 4,146 nautical miles from her 14,300 gallon fuel tanks at 10 knots. Her water tanks store around 3,000 Gallons of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Yachting Service, AMS classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.

Sunrise Yachts, a luxury yacht building company which is based in Turkey, has been made a main sponsor of next year’s 2011 Moscow International Boat Show (MIBS). The four-day Russian yacht show event is currently scheduled to run from April 14-17 at the Moscow’s Crocus exhibition centre.

MIBS is organised by the ITE Group and it is one of Russia’s leading boat shows and is an internationally recognised superyacht event. The show covering everything from small parts and accessories to large superyacht with over 9,000 people and 178 exhibitors attended the last year show.

The Paolo Scanu-designed Sunrise 45 yacht is an ocean-going cruising yacht that was released in 2009 to much acclaim at this was the group’s first-ever model.

Sunrise Yachts was founded in 2007 by the German entrepreneur Herbert P Baum along with the French-British yacht builder Guillaume Roché. The luxury yacht group is based in Antalya, Turkey and utilises a 10,000sq m shipyard facility. Sunrise has two sheds measuring 100m (328ft) x 16m (53ft), as well as a 70m (230ft) x 16m (53ft) fully acclimatized paint shed that can accommodate new-build and refit projects up to 65m (213ft) in length and 1,200 tonnes displacement.

Along each side of the yacht-building facility, space is available for long-term sub-contractors with the latest equipment and logistics capabilities, along with air-conditioned storage, ventilation and extraction plants. The shipyard is organized as an “assembler,” based loosely on the car industry’s model, with a small, yet powerful project management team charged with running all the in-house long-term sub-contractors.
