Here's Where the Cast of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 Is Now

Did the drama continue?

Since it debuted back in 2020, Bravo’s spin-off Below Deck Sailing Yacht has certainly delivered some of the most dramatic feuds and steamy boatmances, and it looks as if Season 3 is no different.

While Captain Glenn Shephard is returning to take the lead of the Parsifal III, there’s a lot that’s changed, including a brand new crew and filming location. The cast will be sailing through the stunning waters of Menorca, Spain, but they’ll definitely be hitting some rocky moments, especially when it comes to returning crew members Gary and Daisy’s love-hate romance.

Well, it seems as if there’s more to come as Bravo teases one of the most unexpected crew hookups in Below Deck history. Say what? With so much having happened during the cast’s filming last summer, what exactly have they been up to since?

Captain Glenn Shephard

When Season 3 wrapped, Daisy Kelliher, who returned aboard the Parsifal III as chief stew, took some much-needed vacation time. Kelliher hit up Antigua in the Caribbean , which is where she rang in the New Year and has remained since filming. Considering her ongoing love-hate relationship with fellow castmate Gary King, Daisy remains single for the time being, but she’s certainly not fallen out of love with traveling. Despite appearing to be living the life so many wish they could, Daisy revealed she’s been suffering from severe separation anxiety as she shared just how hectic and demanding her line of work could be in a February 13, 2022 post on Instagram

Gary King - First Officer

Being involved in Bravo drama is nothing new for Gary, especially after his steamy season with Daisy. Well, after wrapping up season three in Menorca, Gary took some time off to reunite with his family; sharing an adorable photo of him and his niece, Ava , on Instagram. The Bravo star is currently in St. Lucia , soaking up the sun, but he hasn’t managed to escape the drama. After sharing a kiss with Daisy Kelliher in the most recent season three trailer, fans have been wondering if he and Daisy are an item. Well, despite the rumors, Gary and Daisy aren’t dating, after confirming to E! News that the two are “just friends.”

Colin McRae - Chief Engineer

Colin McRae has returned to his old stomping grounds aboard the Parsifal III, and considering his love for sailing, fans aren’t surprised to see the Bravo star back on their screens. Since wrapping up last summer’s filming, it didn't take too much time before Colin and fellow Chief Stew Daisy reunited back in December. Since then, Colin has given most of his time to his YouTube channel, Sailing Parlay , which features an array of videos showcasing his sailing adventures. Things are clearly going well for Colin’s online presence, considering he was rewarded with a YouTube 100,000 subscriber count plaque back on February 6. "It has been 4 years of VERY hard work, possibly the hardest of any sailing channel out there that I know of so far, and to reach this milestone is so gratifying for us,” he wrote on Instagram.

Marcos Spaziani - Chef

Say hello to Bravo’s newest chef, Marcos Spaziani. The Venezuela native has been in the industry for over 10 years and is bringing his culinary expertise to the waters of Menorca. It didn’t take much time for Marcos to make a name for himself following season three of Below Deck Sailing Yacht . Spaziani is currently settled in California and has decided to open up his very own restaurant in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Marcos and fellow chef Louis Huh have been working diligently on their newest business venture, ML Eats LA .

Gabriela Barragan - 2nd Stew

Gabriela Barragan reigns from San Diego and while she’s new to the Below Deck crew, she is certainly no stranger to yachting . Barragan has worked as both a stewardess and a deckhand over the course of the last two years and has continued her yachtie life after filming season three of Sailing Yacht . Gabriela spent January and February working a yacht in St. Thomas. After living and working the island life, Gabriela took to Instagram to share that all of her “ wildest dreams are coming true ,” and considering she’s spending her days sailing through crystal clear waters, we don’t blame her.

Ashley Marti - 3rd Stew

Ashley Marti is making her Below Deck Sailing Yacht debut, and she’s relatively new to the industry. Marti first began working on yachts at the start of the pandemic. Although she reigns from New York , Marti is currently a West Coast gal as she takes in the Los Angeles sun alongside a few of her castmates. Since wrapping up Season 3, Ashley traveled through the United States and the Bahamas and is adamant about returning back aboard the Parsifal III, so Bravo fans just might be seeing more of her in the future.

Kelsi Goglia - Deckhand

Kelsi Goglia is making her Bravo debut this season of Sailing Yacht. After catching the travel bug following a trip to Croatia, Kelsi has been a yachtie ever since, and it doesn’t look like she’s turning back any time soon. She currently resides in San Diego, California, and loves herself some travel, as most Below Deck crew members do. While her romantic life remains a mystery, it’s clear she’s too busy roaming the world to settle down just yet.

Tom Pearson - Deckhand

Growing up on a lake , Tom Pearson is no stranger to the water, but he’s brand new to the Bravo family. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht deckhand was spotted getting his boatmance on, making us all wonder if he’ll be headed toward hot waters. Well, it seems as if Pearson remains single, but his life is anything but boring. After returning home to Windermere, England, Tom has kept busy surfing through the British waters but has taken quite a liking to his new image. The Bravo star has been attending a number of events following his newfound fame, including his most recent appearance in London, England for the launch of a new app on January 20.

Bravo’s Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 is underway and the only thing calm may be the water.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 is here, and Captain Glenn Shephard is back to balancing the demands of vacationers with the drama of his crew. And let’s face it, in most instances, the baggage of his crew far outweighs the luggage of any guest. 

This season takes the show to the waters surrounding Menorca, Spain. The breathtaking views only serve as momentary interruptions to the hookups, the confrontations, the injuries and the occasional emergencies of the new season. Given the interesting dynamic that already exists between returning crew members like Daisy Kelliher and Gary King, the addition of a new chef, new stews and new deckhands make sailing anything but smooth aboard the Parsifal III.

Here’s what we know about Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3. 

When is the next Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 episode?  

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 premiered on Monday, February 21. New episodes continue to air on Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo TV in the US. Episodes are available the next day in the UK on Hayu , which can be included as part of a Prime Video subscription. Additionally, Peacock via Sky TV or NOW TV also offers next-day streaming for Bravo content. 

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is back with the first part of the season 3 reunion airing on Monday, June 27, at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo. After a tumultuous season full of drama and love triangles, it will be interesting to see what the cast has to say to one another when they face off.

What happens on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3? 

Viewers of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 will recall that the last time the crew was together, first mate Gary King was involved in a messy love triangle with deckhand Sydney Zaruba and stew Alli Dore. While fans of the show won’t have to worry about seeing King in a continuation of that love saga, based on the trailer, King will again find himself entangled in a romance. It appears he entangles with chief stew Daisy Kelliher of all people. While the two appeared to make amends at last year’s reunion after feuding all season 2, no one expected the two to be locking lips. 

Additionally, it should be noted that Below Deck Sailing Yacht is done with love triangles, as Bravo TV teases this season fans can expect to see a “twisted love pentagon.” More may not turn out to be merrier in this case.  

Fans of the show will also remember that Captain Glenn Shephard and his crew were involved in an accident during season 2 . Season 3 shows how Captain Shephard has been able to bounce back from the incident while also trying to avoid another potentially disastrous event.

New episodes of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 air live on Mondays in the US. With a subscription, episodes can also be streamed live via Fubo TV , Hulu with Live TV , Sling TV and YouTube TV . Additionally, Peacock provides next-day streaming for its subscribers. In order to access episodes, would-be viewers will have to subscribe to Peacock Premium , which offers either a $4.99 ad-supported or $9.99 ad-free plan.

All aboard!  Below Deck Sailing Yacht   is about to set sail with a brand new crew of sprightly yacht pros. This season, the hit Bravo reality series will coast through the clear waters of Menorca, Spain, debuting with a supersized premiere episode in just under a month. Beginning in February, you’ll be getting new episodes of  Below Deck Sailing Yacht  weekly.

Captain Glenn Shephard is back aboard Parsifal III in Season 3 of the series. Alongside him is returning chief stew Daisy Kelliher , chief engineer Colin MacRae, and first mate Gary King. We’ll also be introduced to some new faces, so get ready to meet chef Marcos Spaziani, second stew Gabriela Barragan, third stew Ashley Marti, and deckhands Kelsie Goglia and Tom Pearson.

This season, Bravo has teased that Daisy and Gary will leave their arguments behind them as they “bring their relationship into uncharted waters.” Further, as Daisy attempts to keep her stations clean, her team begins to threaten the hierarchy of the boat as resentments grow between the stews. Chef Marcos isn’t used to cooking at sea, and while he attempts to maintain the same standard of excellence he knows on land, everything seems to be falling out of his hands.

“ With a twisted love pentagon, a litany of gruesome injuries and a dangerous, potentially vessel-crippling accident that threatens the safety of everyone on board, this is  Parsifal III ’s most epic charter season yet,” Bravo writes.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is produced by 51 Minds with Mark Cronin, Courtland Cox, Vivian Kohon, Tania Hamidi, Christian Sarabia and Zachary Klein serving as executive producers.

Glenn Shephard

Captain Glenn, a native of Montreal, has always been driven by a desire to travel the world. He was offered to serve as a deckhand aboard a 50-foot classic sailboat early in his travels and was immediately enthralled, never looking back. Glenn knows how to keep his calm while catering to the über elite, with over 21 years in the industry and 12 years as the Captain on Parsifal III. Until his limits are strained, this laid-back Captain remains cool. Captain Glenn joked in one recent interview that Parsifal III's first mate Gary King was his "nemesis," who will also be appearing in Season 3. "I can't seem to get rid of him, so I spend pretty much every day and night with Gary." He also hinted that he has found love recently, teasing viewers with the news that "there is a particular woman that I'm kind of chasing."

Marcos Spaziani

Marcos enters the galley with over ten years of industry expertise, eager to wow the charter guests with his exceptional culinary talents. He went to culinary school in Venezuela and has since travelled the world, learning from some of the top chefs in the world.

Daisy Kelliher

Chief stew is back. Daisy Kelliher is regarded as a legend in the sailing world. Her grandpa competed in the 1964 Olympics for Ireland as an Olympic sailor, and her parents — as well as numerous aunts and uncles – were yachtsmen. Daisy has a lot to live up to when she returns to Parsifal III after a successful previous season, and you can always depend on her to tell you what's on her mind and let her hair loose to have a great time.

Colin MacRae

Colin MacRae, a seasoned sailor, spent 13 years as a Chief Engineer aboard superyachts before joining Parsifal III for his second season. Colin is more than willing to provide a helping hand wherever he is needed, and he does so with a huge heart and a mischievous smile.

Gary's 12 years of experience shows in the way he manages his deck personnel, having commanded smaller boats and run the deck on numerous busy superyachts. He commands his department with an iron grip on the one hand, yet he is never the first one to leave a party on the other. He has a naughty charm about him, but his flirting lands him in trouble both on and off the deck.

Gabriela Barragan

Gabriela, a surfer girl from sunny San Diego who's now a jet-setting yachtie, is thrilled to be joining Parsifal III. Gabriela is an experienced crew member who has worked as a stewardess and a deckhand for the previous two years. She is ready to provide five-star service to demanding charter passengers.

Ashley Marti

Ashley Marti, a stewardess from New York, relocated to sunny South Florida to pursue a life on the beach. Ashley chose to pursue a career in sailing during the epidemic and has never looked back. She's travelled the East Coast of the United States and the Bahamas since then, and she's looking forward to further adventures onboard Parsifal III.

Kelsie Goglia

Kelsie got bitten by the travel bug after a sailing vacation in Croatia, and she quit her corporate desk job to work on the deck. Kelsie is a genuine explorer who enjoys spending time outside, especially in the ocean, so it's no surprise that she spends her offseason in San Diego. Kelsie is ecstatic to contribute her tenacity and dedication to Parsifal III.

Tom Pearson

Tom was raised on a lake and enjoys being in the water. Working on the deck was a natural fit for him because he spent his days on the lake in speed boats and participating in water sports. Tom, a self-described social butterfly, enjoys meeting new people onboard, but will his quest for a crew romance get him into trouble?

Yachtie Gabriela Barragan is a surfer girl from San Diego. Although this is her first season of Below Deck , she has worked as both a deckhand and a stewardess over the past two years, so is a very experienced crew member.

Tom Pearson

Tom is also new to the Below Deck crew, and he’s told his followers to “Strap on your seatbelts because it gets crazy”. His yachting experience is unknown, however he has a love to be in the water, and growing up he spent his days doing water sports.

Colin MacRae

Colin has been apart of the crew since season 2. Before this, he worked as a Chief Engineer on super yachts for 13 years. He got viewers excited for the new season in his announcement post, saying that “So much stuff went down, it was even crazier than last season if that’s even possible!”

Daisy Kelliher

Daisy is also back for another season, who according to Bravo is considered “a yachting legacy”. This is because in 1964 her grandfather was an Olympic sailor for Ireland. Not only this, but her parents and other family members were also yachties.

Marcos Spaziani

Fresh face Marcos is a new crew member this season. He has over 10 years of experience within the industry, and will be on the yacht working as a private chef. The Bravo star is opening up his own restaurant in Koreatown, L.A.

Ashley Marti

Ashley decided to take up yachting during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the beginning of her career, she has travelled the East Coast of the US and also The Bahamas. In her Instagram bio she states that she is currently in Fort Lauderdale.

‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Season 3: Official Cast Pics & Bios Released!

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 was announced by Bravo earlier this morning (January 24) and in addition to an explosive trailer , the network has also released the official cast pics.

As previously reported, returning for Season 3 in addition to  Captain Glenn Shephard  are Chief Stew  Daisy Kelliher,  Chief Engineer  Colin MacRae , and First Mate  Gary King . After what was a dramatic Season 2,  Natasha De Bourg, Dani Shares, Alli Dore ,  Sydney Zaruba  and  Jean-Luc Cerza-Lanaux  are all sitting this round out and viewers will be introduced to a few new faces when the show premieres this February.

Glenn Shephard, Captain

Originally from Montreal, Capt. Glenn’s life has always been dictated by the need to see the world. Early on in his travels, he was invited onboard a 50-foot classic sailboat to work as a deckhand and was immediately hooked and has never looked back. With over 21 years in the industry and 12 years as the Captain on Parsifal III, Glenn has hosted hundreds of high-end guests over many busy charter seasons. Glenn knows how to keep his cool while catering to the uber elite. This laid-back Captain is calm until his limits are pushed. Don’t mess with Capt. Glenn!

Daisy Kelliher, Chief Stew

Returning chief stew Daisy Kelliher is considered a yachting legacy. Her grandfather was an Olympic sailor for Ireland in 1964, and her parents – and many aunts and uncles – were yachties. Daisy has a lot to live up to when she returns to Parsifal III after a successful last season and can always be counted on to give you a piece of her mind and let her hair down to have a good time.

Gary King, First Mate

Having captained smaller boats and run the deck on several busy super yachts, Gary’s 12 years of experience is apparent in the way he runs his deck team. On one hand, he rules his department with an iron fist but on the other hand, he is never the type to leave a party first. He brims with mischievous charm but his flirtation gets him in hot water on and off deck.

Colin MacCrae, Chief Engineer

Longtime sailor Colin MacRae worked as a Chief Engineer on super yachts for 13 years before joining Parsifal III for his second season. With a big heart and an impish smile, Colin is more than happy to lend a hand anywhere that he might be needed. However, when Colin’s kindness gets mistaken for weakness, fireworks fly.

Tom Pearson, Deckhand

Growing up on a lake, Tom loves to be in the water. He spent his days on the lake in speed boats and doing water sports, so working on deck was a natural career option for him. As a self-proclaimed social butterfly, Tom loves meeting new people while on board, but will his desire for a crew romance lead him to hot water?

Marcos Spaziani, Chef

With over 10 years of industry experience, Marcos steps into the galley ready to showcase his superb culinary skills and impress the charter guests. He attended culinary school in his home country, Venezuela, and has since traveled the world, learning from the best chefs across the globe. Currently, Marcos is setting roots on land and opening a restaurant in Koreatown in Los Angeles.

Kelsie Goglia, Deckhand

After going on a sailing holiday in Croatia, Kelsie was bit by the travel bug and ditched her corporate desk job for the deck. A true adventurer, Kelsie loves to spend her time outdoors, especially in the water, so it’s no surprise she calls San Diego her home in the off season. Kelsie is thrilled to bring her determination and work ethic aboard Parsifal III.

A surfer girl from sunny San Diego turned jet-setting yachtie, Gabriela is excited to come on board Parsifal III. Having worked as both a stewardess and a deckhand over the last two years, Gabriela is an experienced crew member and is eager to deliver five-star service to the demanding charter guests.

Ashley Marti, Third Stewardess

Hailing from New York, stewardess Ashley Marti made her way to sunny South Florida for a life by the shore. During the pandemic, Ashley decided to pursue a career in yachting and has never looked back. Since then, she’s made her way through the East Coast of the United States and The Bahamas and is looking forward to future experiences aboard Parsifal III.

Check Out (or Follow!) the Cast of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 3 on Instagram

For Bravo fans, it's become tradition to tune in to Below Deck on Monday nights. In February of 2022, Season 3 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht debuted on the network, and the Parsifal III crew members wasted no time with getting the drama started.

While viewers can check out the cast members during the charter season on Mondays, they can also stay updated with their lives outside of the show on social media.

Whether you want to investigate and look for any clues regarding the current statuses of the boatmances, or you simply want to know what the stars have been up to since filming concluded, we've rounded up all of the Instagram accounts for the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 cast members.

1. Captain Glenn Shephard (@BigSailboats)

The Parsifal III captain, who has appeared on every season of the Below Deck spin-off, posts on his Instagram with the handle @BigSailboats . His feed is filled with plenty of selfies, and a lot of gorgeous travel shots from the water.

2. Daisy Kelliher (@DaisyKelliher87)

Season 3 marks Daisy's second go-round as the Chief Stew on the sailing vessel, and she'll engage in a bit of a romance with fellow sophomore season star Gary King.

On her Instagram page, Daisy shares photos from the show, and she also posts clips from her Below Deck -themed podcast, Beneath the Surface .

3. Gary King (@King_gk)

The First Mate secured a spot on Season 3 after engaging in one of the most dramatic love triangles to ever exist on a Below Deck show. This time around, Gary's new love situation involves Daisy and Ashley Marti (who work together on the interior team). Gary is active on his @King_gk social media.

4. Colin MacRae (@ParlayRevival_Colin)

When he's not working as a Chief Engineer (or stirring up the drama), Colin chronicles his journey to fix up a hurricane-damaged catamaran on YouTube . His verified channel has more than 200,000 subscribers.

5. Chef Marcos Spaziani (@ChefMarcoSpaziani)

Below Deck fans have seen many intense chefs in the galley over the years, and it remains to be seen if Chef Marcos will be like his peers, or if he'll break the mold.

In addition to his food truck, Chef Marcos is in the process of opening up a restaurant in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The third stew made quite the impression on the Season 3 premiere when she locked lips with Gary (and shot down Tom Pearson for being too young).

Ashley is originally from New York, but, when she's on land, she's usually working in Florida.

With a few more years of yachting experience and 10 extra years of wisdom, Gabriela edged Ashley out for the second stew position. Viewers have yet to find out if this will change the dynamic for the interior team but, based on how Gabriela handled the awkward interaction with a guest at the end of the Season 3 premiere, it seems like Daisy made the right call.

When Kelsie's not working on deck, she's sharing some insight into her travels and her life in San Diego on Instagram . The Season 3 star embarked on a yachting career after a sailing vacation in Croatia.

The Brit didn't have the strongest start on the show, as he got a little bit ahead of himself during the crew's first pre-charter night out. After a long, alcohol-fueled night on Parsifal III , Tom ended up getting sick — and he narrowly missed hitting his bunkmate, Captain Glenn, with his vomit.

Tom spent the first night in the crew mess, and he went on an apology tour the next morning. Will he be able to recover from his disastrous first night, or will he say goodbye to the crew early?

The third season of the show premiered on August 25, 2015, and was filmed in the Bahamas on a 161-foot superyacht named Eros. The show featured five new crew members and their relationship with each other expectedly took center stage. Lee Rosbach is Now Exploring New Horizons Beyond Yachting

Lee was the only original cast member on the show for the season and was working as the yacht captain. He continued to be a beloved participant in the show till season 10, which aired in 2022, but health issues made him take a break in the middle of the season. He was able to come back and conclude the show in his style but it was revealed that he will not be coming back for the next season.

However, fans need not worry about missing their good old captain; in an interview, he exclaimed that he is “nowhere close to retired.” Leaving out specific details about upcoming projects, he did make it clear that there are a couple of projects with Bravo in the works, and he may be joined by cast members that the fans are familiar with. It seems like we will get to see Captain Lee charming his way through the screen very soon.

Leon Walker is Seeking New Challenges in London

Chef Ben was replaced by Chef Leon in the third season, and the time the latter spent on the show was rife with tension and drama. He took a quick dislike to Chief Stew Kate Chastain, ignored a guest’s special request, and ultimately a dirty oven caught fire under his supervision. He was let go from the crew by the Captain and even though there were rumors that he would be coming back to the production in a spin-off, he did not make an appearance. After the show ended, he has kept away from the public eye and is reportedly living in Bromley, London, and is “looking for the new challenge”.

Ben Robinson is Focusing on His Private Chef Career Now

Chef Ben came to the show after Chef Leon’s departure and reappeared on the show till Season 4 and in another spin-off. However, he had made it clear that he would not be returning to the franchise and plans to pursue different paths in life. Ben made an appearance in the chat show ‘Galley Talk’ and on US Food Network’s Beachside Brawl, so there is a chance that we might occasionally see him being a part of the entertainment industry.

The chef is currently living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and keeps updating his Instagram page with delicious-looking food. He works as a private chef with innumerable clients spread across the US and Europe. On the personal front, Ben proposed to Kiara Cabral, his lovely girlfriend of four years, in May 2023. Well, she happily said “yes,” making him feel “like the luckiest man alive!”

Kate Chastain is Focusing on New Ventures and Motherhood

Kate Chastain had been an intrinsic member of the show since Season 2 and she continued to be a fan-favorite till Season 7 when she announced her retirement. She said that she was feeling fulfilled in the rule and wanted to scope out new things for herself. She published her book ‘Lucky Charming’ in 2016 and moved to New York. Chastain has accomplished a lot since her retirement, which includes her radio show called ‘Unapologetically Kate Chastain’ and a production company called Remotely Possible Productions.

Chastain runs a non-profit resale clothing store for homeless women and children called Genesis Boutique and participated in ‘The Traitors’. In May 2023, Chastain gave birth to a beautiful baby boy whom she named Sullivan Cay. With the beginning of this new chapter in her life, it seems like Chastain has a lot of flourishing years ahead of her.

Don joined the show in the capacity of a second engineer/deckhand but he was more interested in the engineering side of the work. He had quite a lot of friction with Eddie Lucas and his boss. The day he decided to jump into the water for some fun without taking permission, he was called by Captain Leon to be admonished but Don ended up quitting the show in an instant. He is currently the owner of Retro Fabworks, a metal fabrication company, and runs a YouTube channel called ‘Hobby Shop Garage’, which is a collaborative endeavor of a group of automotive enthusiasts.

Amy Johnson is Thriving in Love and Life in North Carolina Now

Amy joined the show in Season 2 but she had her full just after Season 3. She had a very sweet and likeable personality on the show but Kate Chastain did not approve of her a lot. Amy was working as a stewardess and seemed to rub ‘Below Deck’ alum Kate the wrong way many times. She was even joined by her brother, Kelley Johnson, on the show. After quitting the show, she continued to work in the yachting industry but has reportedly left the job after marrying her long-time boyfriend Ellis in October of 2020 and has moved to North Carolina. She has a huge following on her Instagram and seems to be thriving in love and life.

Raquel “Rocky” Dakota is Embracing a Multifaceted Career in Hawaii

Rocky had a tumultuous relationship with Eddie on the show and she got a chance to showcase her culinary skills also after Chef Leon unexpectedly quit. However, the yachting industry did not hold as much interest for her after Season 3 aired. She quit the show and the industry and moved to Hawaii. She is now working as a surfer, competitive national diver as well as a cook, and is living the life of dreams. She has found love in Mark and the couple have been together for more than four years now. She lost her sister to a car accident in 2017 and has been vocal about her grief and her coping mechanisms. It is very refreshing to see her lead an honest, unfiltered, and joyful life and we are sure life has big things in store for her.

Eddie Lucas is Navigating a New Chapter as a Tugboat Captain

Eddie had been a part of the show since the first season and fans saw him growing up, professionally and personally, over the years. He continued to work in ‘Below Deck’ till Season 9 but he has confirmed he will not be returning to the show because of unresolvable differences with the production house. He joined as a deckhand and worked his way to the position of a bosun and consequently, first officer.

After leaving the show, Eddie joined a tugboat as its captain in Baltimore Harbor and described how it is just one of the three tugs he is in charge of. The new role required long hours but he has found some stability and has bought a house with his girlfriend, Natalie Inada, in Hampden. It seems like Eddie has made some big changes in life over time and his future ahead looks as bright and wonderful as it did on his first day on the show.

Connie Arias is Preparing for Nuptials and Business Endeavors

Connie Arias won over the audience with her funny and quirky presence on the show in season 3 even though she did not return for further seasons. She developed a very good working relationship with Captain Lee while working as a deckhand and got close to almost all other crew members Her agreeable disposition made her a favorite amongst fans and show members alike. After leaving the show, Connie moved to Florida and started her boat company even though it is unclear if she owns the company. She has taken a strong liking to fishing and has also gotten engaged in October 2020 and even though the date of the wedding is not final, we expect to see her getting all the things she wants in life as she deserves all of it.

Emile Kotze is Pursuing an Acting and Travel Agency Career

Emile Kotze’s dimpled face and chiseled body were a recipe for success right from the moment he appeared on the show as a deckhand. A family boy from South Africa, Emile came to the yachting industry with nothing but dreams which he proceeded to fulfill. He did not return to the show for more seasons but he has been very accessible to the public through his social media accounts. He found a new passion as a travel agent at TRN Global and is also pursuing acting as a career option. It seems like promising things lay in this promising young man’s future and he will continue to soar.

Dane Jackson is Advancing in Whitewater Kayaking and Personal Life

After the untimely departure of Don Abenendo from the show, Captain Lee brought on Dane as a permanent replacement but things did not go as expected. He was asked to leave after just featuring in four episodes of the season. Explaining the situation, Captain said, “Dane had some serious social issues, his drinking and complete unwillingness to get along with the rest of the crew, and his total entitlement attitude and insubordination was more than enough to dismiss for cause.”

Dane is a professional whitewater kayaker. In 2017, he appeared on the extreme sports show called ‘Ultimate Rush’. Presently, he is pursuing his passion for kayaking and got engaged to Chloe Beeler in April 2023. He has a large social media following and is set to excel in all the endeavors he undertakes.

David Bradberry is Crafting a Career in Acting and Writing Now

David Bradberry joined the show as a deckhand and made an appearance on the show for only one season. He had a cool and composed outlook on the show and did not get into a lot of controversies or trouble. After leaving the show, he decided to be a full-time actor and writer and is living in Washington, DC. He seems to be in a very successful relationship and does not display much of his personal life in the public eye.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Cast Members

Captain Glenn Shephard has been at the helm since the series debuted . He is relaxed until pushed to the limit. During Season 2, Captain Glenn assembled a core team that returned for multiple seasons.

During Season 2, Gary King served as chief officer, and Colin MacRae was the chief engineer. Chief stew Daisy Kelliher also joined the crew. Chef Natasha De Bourg , who had a Michelin-star rating, left after the second season. The guests may have loved her food, but Daisy was critical of her skills.

And Gary participated in too many romances. During Season 2, he romanced both deckhand Sydney Zaruba and stew Alli Dore .

Then Daisy and Gary had sex between Seasons 3 and 4. During Season 4, Daisy also hooked up with Gary’s buddy, Colin. Yet Gary continued to flirt with Daisy. Season 4 became awkward in a hurry!

Gary was also involved in another romantic entanglement with stew Mads Herrera . But she locked lips with deckhand Alex Propson , too. Season 4 absolutely delivered!

Add in some nautical accidents, too. Captain Glenn hit the dock twice during Season 2. And during Season 3, a hazardous overnight squall put everyone in danger.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 - Here's What We Can Tell Fans So Far

The latest season of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht" may have recently ended in June, but fans already can't wait for another season of the "Below Deck" spin-off to set sail. The hit Bravo show follows the professional and personal lives of the crew working on a luxury yacht as they deal with difficult guests and sail exotic waters.

The reality series is relatively new to Bravo , having premiered in February 2020. Season 1 took place in Greece with a crew led by Captain Glenn Shephard . Season 2 added some new faces to the group and sailed through Spain instead.

"Below Deck Sailing Yacht" last left fans with a pretty dramatic Season 2 reunion on June 21 and June 22, according to Us Weekly . During those episodes, the crew not only looked back at what went down the previous season but also answered some pretty intense questions, including ones about the paternity of crew member Dani Soares' baby , which was speculated to be co-star Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux. First mate Gary King was also called out for his treatment of women, as well as his complicated relationship with castmate Alli Dore. With all this drama from just Season 2 of the show, it makes sense why fans wouldn't want to wait to see what else will go down on the yacht during Season 3! So how long will they have to wait to watch the next season on TV?

When will Season 3 premiere?

While Season 2 of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht" may have just ended in June, fans are already eager for a new season of the "Below Deck" spinoff. Bravo has yet to confirm that there will be another season of the reality series so there's no official release date for Season 3, nor much word on if production is underway. In past season however, filming has always taken place during the summer months, so that could be happening right now — somewhere out at sea in a foreign country.

Another good sign that Season 3 will happen came from Colin Macy-O'Toole from "Below Deck Mediterranean," who now apparently has a job behind-the-scenes. He told Showbiz Cheat Sheet , "I did the casting for some of the other 'Below Decks.' They asked me to help out, so yeah, I've been a casting producer for 'Below Deck Down Under' and I started '[Below Deck] Sailing [Yacht]' for next season." If there's casting happening, then it's pretty safe to assume that Bravo plans on bringing the show back for another season.

And if it's anything like past seasons , fans can expect to watch Season 3 sometime in February or March 2022. The series usually kicks off in the winter and runs until June. For those who still need to catch up, you can watch "Below Deck Sailing Yacht" on Bravo's website or on the streaming services FuboTV, Sling TV, AT&T TV Now, YouTube TV, or Hulu + Live TV.

Who will be in the cast of Season 3?

Season 3 of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht," could see some familiar faces from Season 2 and, of course, some new ones. If Season 3 is anything like last season then the crew would consist of Captain Glenn Shephard, Colin Macrae, Gary King, Natasha De Bourg, Daisy Kelliher , Dani Soares, Alli Dore, and Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux. Colin Macy-O'Toole, who is working on the casting, teased (via Showbiz Cheat Sheet ) that some of those crew members could return for Season 3.

However, Sydney Zaruba has already confirmed that she won't be coming back. She explained on the podcast " Dear Diary, You're Effed ", "I would always do [the show] again ... If I do go back, obviously I'm not gonna go back this season I don't think because I already have a job." Others who may not be working on the yacht could be Dani and Alli since Dani just became a new mom, welcoming a baby girl in May, and Alli is currently pregnant.

Yet, fans could see Gary and Natasha return since they were asked by Captain Glenn to continue on the boat's crossing even after Season 2 was filmed. Gary also posted a photo with Captain Glenn on a boat in early June (seen above). As for Colin, he could have extra free time to return since splitting with his girlfriend. But fans will have to wait to see!

When discussing how everyone got involved with their respective Below Deck shows, Captain Jason opened up about not realizing the yachting show was such a big deal before he joined it.

“I honestly think I was pretty naive. I didn’t think it was this big of a deal, you know,” Captain Jason expressed. “I don’t live in America. I do live in the Philippines.”

The captain spoke about how he ended up being cast on the latest Below Deck spin-off.

“I got a phone call about using the boat in Below Deck. Then they rang me and said you want to apply for being the captain. I was like, I was okay could be time for a change,” he dished.

All five captains opened up about safety and the struggles of working on a yacht while also filming a reality TV show.

Hint: the biggest challenge is getting the production team on and off the yacht safely, even if the weather conditions are not great.

What do we know about Below Deck Down Under Season 3?

Season 2 of Below Deck Down Under put the show on the map due to Captain Jason and his trusty chief stew, Aesha Scott. How they dealt with Luke Jones and Laura Bileskalne earned them mad props and took the show to a whole new level.

Since Below Deck Down Under ended last fall without any reunion, fans have been waiting to hear news about Season 3. In December, Captain Jason revealed that Below Deck Down Under Season 3 hadn’t even filmed yet.

Well, the good news is that according to Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, the season is currently filming or was at the time he spoke with The New York Times.

We don’t know exactly what that means in terms of when the show will air, other than the fact that it likely won’t be until the end of this year or early next year.

Some fans have voiced concern that Aesha won’t be involved because she’s been all over social media lately. In fact, Aesha just shared a life-changing moment with her boyfriend, Scotty Dobson.

Captain Jason Chambers didn’t talk at all about the next season in the video with the other captains, but hopefully, we will hear some news soon.

The timing of the captain’s video comes hot on the heels of Monsters and Critics reporting that Below Deck fans have named Captain Jason their favorite.

During her time on the show, she fired deckhand/stew Camille Lamb and even developed a feud with chief stew Fraser Olender.

Malia White started as a deckhand in Below Deck Med season 2, where she was caught in a love triangle with Chef Adam Glick and Bosun Wesley Walton, whom she went on to date for several years after. In Below Deck Med seasons 5 and 6, she came back as a bosun. During season 5, she ratted out Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier for having unregistered Valium and a vape pen on board. Since then, Below Deck viewers haven't been as welcoming toward Malia.

9 Ashton Pienaar

Ashton Pienaar joined the cast of Below Deck seasons 6 and 7, as a deckhand, then a bosun. In season 6, he won sympathy after a scary experience when his foot got caught in a tow line, and he was dragged into the water. However, the following season, he began drinking heavily on nights out and belligerently lashed out at Chief Stew Kate Chastain. One night, he angrily punched the inside of the van door while on their way back to their mega-yacht, Valor. Ashton never returned to Below Deck again.

8 Lexi Wilson

After getting back from their crew night out, Lexi Wilson from Below Deck Med season 6 got wasted drunk and fought with her crew mates. Not only did she talk back to Chief Steward Katie Flood and Bosun Malia, but she also got into a physical altercation with Deckhand Mzi Dempers . Lexi was fired from Below Deck Med towards the end of the season following a verbal altercation with Chef Mathew Shea.

7 Adam Glick

Adam Glick returned as the chef on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 1 after appearing on Below Deck Med seasons 2 and 3. When he first joined Below Deck Med , Adam was involved with lead deckhand Malia, but the relationship began to crumble after Malia started to develop feelings for her bosun , Wes. After Malia picked Wes, Adam lost his cool and even physically assaulted Wes on a day off.

6 João Franco

João Franco first appeared as the lead deckhand during Below Deck Med season 3. Captain Sandy took note of his dedicated work ethic and welcomed João back for season 4 as her bosun. However, this season proved to be less successful, as João found himself in the middle of a love triangle and at odds with Chief Stew, Hannah, resulting in season 4 being his last . However, he did return for Below Deck Down Under season 2 and still ended the season on a bad note with fans.

5 Leon Walker

Leon Walker appeared on Below Deck season 3 and quickly made enemies with former Chief Stew Kate . When Leon wasn't blatantly telling Kate that he didn't like her, he was refusing to cater to the guest's culinary requests on board. Despite his terrible attitude, Leon wasn't fired until a dirty oven caused a fire to break out in the galley.

4 Kyle Viljoen

Kyle Viljoen made quite an impression on Below Deck Med season 7 before an unexpected injury ended his charter season. Kyle had a brief romance with a charter guest , which was breaking the Captain's rules, but he did it anyway. Though Kyle was a fan favorite, when he twisted his ankle onboard, his damaged ligaments meant that he was unable to perform basic tasks, so Captain Sandy had to relieve him from duty.

3 Gary King

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4's Gary King has been a controversial part of the series. Gary is a lifetime yachtie who is known for his cavalier attitude and playboy ways . Gary has caused quite a stir as he's moved through Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4, especially in his relationships with Daisy Kelliher and Colin MacRae.

2 Kyle Dickard

Kyle Dickard's Below Deck Adventure experience was short-lived but memorable. Kyle was a deckhand aboard the yacht and quickly found himself in trouble after sparking a romance with Kasie Faddah. While Kasie initially seemed interested in Kyle, the deckhand started flirting with her in front of charter guests . In addition to continuing to pursue Kasie, he disrespected cast members on nights out.

1 Peter Hunziker

Peter Hunziker was a deckhand on Below Deck Med season 5 but was immediately cut from the show after a racist post resurfaced online . Before Peter was let go by Bravo , he made a few inappropriate comments towards the women onboard. He constantly referred to Malia as " sweetheart ," which she didn't like. He was also creepy towards Chief Steward Bugsy Drake by hitting on her. From the start, Peter was problematic, and the racist post was just the nail in the coffin.

‘Below Deck’ Sails Into a New Era

With a different captain at the helm and new production elements, the reality show about charter yachts is switching up its style.

Starting a new season of “ Below Deck ” can be similar to returning to summer camp as a kid — you know it’s going to be fun and that you’ll be in the same environment, but some of the people will be different and you’re not quite sure what the vibes will be.

This time around, in particular, feels that way because for the first time in the show’s 11-season run, Captain Lee Rosbach is no longer at the helm. It’s a pivotal moment for a franchise that has become one of the most popular entities in the sprawling universe of reality TV since premiering on Bravo in 2013 . The show’s appeal was built on endless romances between various crew members (“boatmances,” as they came to be known), horrible charter guests and some sort of passive-aggressive fight about how many shackles of the anchor chain should be in the water. And there was always Rosbach presiding over the drama as he trudged around the boat, reeling off one liners like “I’m madder than a pissed-on chicken” and “we screwed the pooch so many times we should have a litter of puppies running around.”

At the center of the show now is Kerry Titheradge (the stern yet goofy captain of “Below Deck Adventure” fame), who is managing the Motor Yacht Saint David with the cheeky chief stew Fraser Olender by his side.

With that change in captain, the energy on the boat — both onscreen and off — is different, according to Olender.

“Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” Olender said in an interview. “With Kerry, he taught me a lot and sort of forced to me confront issues directly with my team, work them out, as opposed to making executive decisions too soon.”

This shift in management style changes the central conflict — whereas the drama once focused on the captain swiftly kicking out any unpleasant crew member (as we might have seen with Rosbach), the drama now focuses on the whole crew trying to get along (since Titheradge gives people those second chances).

Additionally, Olender noted that the captain’s relationship with the crew can also affect the drama on board.

“Captains absolutely do get involved, whether they know it or not,” Olender said, adding that for the crew, everything is about “trying to impress your captain.”

This phenomenon plays out early in the new season when the lead deckhand, Ben Willoughby, called out a fellow crew member over the radios about not wearing a life vest — something he easily could have done in private. The drama that followed became an interpersonal conflict between the two of them, both with the ultimate goal of impressing Titheradge. (Of course, the two deckhands had kissed on the previous crew night out, which is more in line with the “Below Deck” drama viewers are used to.)

For “Below Deck” showrunners, the changeovers in the cast allowed them to rethink what the show would look like.

From the season premiere, it was immediately apparent that Rosbach’s absence wasn’t the only change this season: The filming is sleeker, the daily, multicourse meals prepared by the chef are given their own glamour shots and the cameras sometimes cut to the perspectives of yachties running around on deck and through the galley.

“Our showrunner, Lauren Simms, is an avid consumer of all different kinds of media,” Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, said in an interview. “She pitches us different ideas on how to stylistically evoke different feelings and change the mood a little bit of ‘Below Deck’ without removing what really works.”

Moving through the rest of the season, and potentially through seasons to come, Olender is aiming to bring a cutthroat management style while also bringing affection for his stews, all with his signature British humor.

On Bravo’s side, there are changes in the works for the other “Below Deck” spinoffs — including “Sailing Yacht,” “Mediterranean” and “Down Under” — which collectively, have 26 seasons. Specifically, Samton said that “Down Under” is currently filming and that even though fans should be ready to see new things, the show will stay true to its original concept.

“These are real yachties doing a real job so you have to stay within those confines because the audience isn’t going to want anything that is too produced or fake,” Samton said. “So we have to find ways to reinvent while staying true to the original concept of the show.”

And as Olender said: “I’m sure that every year if I were to work with this franchise again, that I’ll be thrown a collection of total chaotic and disastrous stews — that’s what makes it watchable.”

An earlier version of this article misquoted Fraser Olender, the chief stew of “Below Deck.” He said, “I also feel like Kerry this season. ... Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” not “I feel like Kerry this season, as opposed to Lee, has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him.”

Below Deck Lost Two Crew Members In One Episode, And As A Fan I’m Honestly Shocked This Isn’t The First Time That Happened

This week saw a few castaways from the St. David crew.

Well, it looks like there's a little more wiggle room down in the crew quarters of the St. David. That's because this week's episode of Below Deck (which you can catch up on with a Peacock subscription ) saw the shocking early departure of not one but two onboard staffers. However, what's even more surprising is that this isn't the first time that's happened in Bravo's yacht-focused reality franchise. 

After that widely despised eighth season of Below Deck Mediterranean , it looks like the O.G. Below Deck decided to fire up the engines where the drama's concerned for Season 11, with both bosun Jared Woodin and stew Cat Baugh ending their charter seasons earlier. However, only one of those early exits was voluntary. 

Joining a long line of fired Below Deck crew—including Captain Sandy's number one hater Hannah Ferrier , accidental mustard-gas concocter Elizabeth Frankini and the exhaustingly argumentative Lexi Wilson , among many others—Jared Woodin was fired by Captain Kerry Titheradge due to bad behavior in the March 18th episode on the 2024 TV schedule , titled "Cat's Out of the Bag." Jared's dismissal came after he drunkenly barged into a crew cabin and berated deckhand Kyle Stillie for spilling loose tobacco near the boat's hot tub. 

During the episode, Captain Kerry said this about Jared's inappropriate, over-the-top reaction and poor treatment of his crewmate: 

This is the second time you've gone on the piss and you've had bad behavior. You're in a leadership role. You can't be acting like that. You gotta be above the fray. The way that you're treating these guys is not acceptable, and we've had discussions, and I've tried to guide you, I've shown you compassion. But, you've got shit going on, mate. You're your own worst enemy right now. You need to depart the vessel.

The Aussie captain was sympathetic, however, to the mental struggles Jared was clearly going through, and he told him that remaining on the boat would be "a disservice" to his mental health.

The topic of having a "good headspace" while working onboard also came up for Cat Baugh, whose own unexpected departure came after the stewardess received a distressing call from a friend back home in America. Deciding to put her own mental health first and go be there for her friend, Baugh put in her resignation with chief stew Fraser Olender and Captain Kerry, both of whom were supportive of her decision. Baugh said of her exit:

I wish I could have stayed. But, the thing is, there's no way I could have. This is too much. I need to be with the people [who] need me, and also, on this boat, I'm at a breaking point. I need to protect my mental health. It's like my support system is at home, not here.

Losing two crew members in one episode is surprising, sure, but not unprecedented. On Below Deck Down Under , the Aussie spin-off of the reality series, bosun Luke Jones was fired by Captain Jason Chambers for drunken misconduct after trying to get in a stew's bed naked while she was inebriated and unconscious. Shortly after, stew Laura Bileskalne's contract was also terminated for making repeating unwanted advances on a male deckhand. Below Deck veteran Lee Rosbach praised Chambers's "superb" handling of the crew misconduct.

Below Deck Loses 2 Crewmembers After a Firing and a Dramatic Season 11 Departure

Below deck 's capt. kerry titheradge fired the first season 11 yachtie during the bravo series' march 18 episode, but that wasn't the only shocking departure. find out who else left the yacht..

The  St. David  is down not one, but two crewmembers.

During Below Deck 's March 18 episode, Captain Kerry Titheradge  fired the first season 11 yachtie when he let Bosun Jared Woodin go for unprofessional behavior, the last straw being an inebriated Jared barging into Stew Barbie Pascual 's cabin the night prior and yelling at Deckhand Kyle Stillie for leaving a mess of loose tobacco on the deck after a night of partying. 

"This is the second time you've gone on the piss and you've had bad behavior," Kerry told his subordinate. "You're in a leadership role. You can't be acting like that. You gotta be above the fray. The way that you're treating these guy is not acceptable."

But it wasn't just the alcohol that was the problem, as Kerry noted Jared's mental state wasn't where it needed to be. "You've got s--t going on, man," he shared. "You're your own worst enemy right now. You need to depart the vessel."

However, Jared agreed his head wasn't in the right place and accepted his termination graciously.

"This ain't the right place for me at the right time," Jared replied, to which Kerry responded, "I don't blame you for that. Take this time and work on yourself. Me keeping you here is a disservice to you."

Before departing the super-yacht, Jared reflected in a confessional, "I thought I was in a good headspace coming into this. I'm really not. And as much as I'd like to be I'm just lying to myself."

But Jared wasn't the only teammate to set sail during the latest episode. Stew Cat Baugh willingly left the ship after admittedly struggling with the job all season long.

"I really wanna push through for you guys," Cat, in tears, told Chief Stew Fraser Olender after receiving a very distressing call from a friend back home in America. "I'm just losing my mind right now."

And Fraser totally understood his crewmember's needs.

"If you're in a very unhappy place," he told her, "I'd rather you put your health and your mental health before that and we get you the help you need as soon as we can."

In a confessional, Fraser elaborated, "I don't know what is going on, but you can look into someone's eyes sometimes and see that there is no more that they can give. They are going through enough to be incapable and I need to do what's right for her. "

If there's one thing to learn from Camille Lamb 's Below Deck firing, it's to not slack off on the job. That's exactly why the season 10 stew was let go by substitute Captain Sandy Yawn , as Chief Stew Fraser Olender continued to criticize Camille's behavior on board.

From being caught drinking while preparing for a new charter to partying at late hours and more, Fraser informed Captain Sandy that he had reached his "last straw."

"She's the common denominator in all of this," said Captain Sandy. "Great girl, great personality, but at the same time, we have to do what's best for the boat."

Below Deck Adventure 's Kyle Dickard was let go just three episodes into the reality franchise's latest series—which premiered in November 2022. After picking fights with his fellow deckhand Nathan Morley —as well as kissing crew mates in front of guests—Kyle was offered by Captain Kerry Titheradge the opportunity to resign so that his firing would not end up on his personal record.

Kyle took the Captain up on his offer and left the boat after just one charter.

Captain Sandy let bosun Raygan Tyler go during season seven of Below Deck Mediterranean ,  not only for causing the boat to  take a small hit while docking, but also for not stepping up to the plate as a leader.

But Captain Sandy didn't want her firing to discourage the bosun, as she told Raygan, "If I had the time and I wasn't running a boat this size, I would train you. I would teach you."

In addition to onboard romances and failing to follow directions , one of the biggest reasons behind stew Elizabeth Frankini 's Below Deck firing was her infamous laundry room accident , during which made a toxic mess when combining bleach and laundry soap.

"Unfortunately, I didn't know that was so toxic and I feel so bad about it," she told E! News of the incident in December 2020 . "You know, I do feel really bad, especially 'cause Francesca [ Rubi ] did say, 'Take it outside.'"

The bosun and stew were both fired by Captain Jason Chambers for inappropriate behavior after a night of partying with their fellow yachties.

Luke Jones was let go after getting into Stew Margot Sisson 's bed naked while she was drunk and unconscious. Laura Bileskaine also made unwanted advances on Deckhand Adam Kodra despite him telling her he was not interested in hooking up.

Jason made it known that consent was a must, and sent both crewmembers packing.

Tensions between stew Lexi Wilson and Chef Mathew Shea came to a head during an explosive dinner fight on season six of Below Deck Mediterranean , during which Lexi told Matt that his parents "should've aborted you." That was the last straw for Captain Sandy, who fired her not long after the incident.

Deckhand Tom Pearson said "bon voyage" to Below Deck Sailing Yacht after getting let go by Captain Glenn Shephard . Tom hit his last strike with the Captain after failing to report that the boat's anchor was dragging during heavy winds one night, causing a potential safety risk for everyone on board.

"It had to be done. It was such a grievous thing that he dropped the ball there, he had to go, and we had to just be man down and live with it, you know?" Captain Glenn said of the decision  on Watch What Happens Live. "So, obviously, you don't want to do that, but yeah, it had to happen."

Some people are picky eaters, but Below Deck Down Under' s Ryan McKeown was quite the picky chef, as he would judge guests'  food requests  and fail to take  criticism from Captain Jason Chambers , as well.

Perhaps Ryan's Below Deck exit is one of the franchise's most memorable, as he mooned Jason and viewers on his way off the boat.

Below Deck Down Under stew Magda Ziomek 's firing was another case of slacking on the job. After constantly being on her phone texting or video chatting with her boyfriend, Chief Stew Aesha Scott decided to replace Magda before the end of the charter season.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Peter Hunziker was fired from the series in June 2020 after he shared an offensive post on social media.

"Peter Hunziker of Below Deck Mediterranean has been terminated for his racist post," Bravo wrote in a statement at the time. "Bravo and 51 Minds are editing the show to minimize his appearance for subsequent episodes."

Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier was let go by Captain Sandy on Below Deck Mediterranean after boson Malia White discovered her co-star possessed undeclared Valium and a vape pen, the former of which Hannah claimed was for her anxiety.

"If I could do it all over again, I would've just declared them as soon as I came on board," Hannah stated in an August 2020 interview with E! News. "It was definitely not something that was intentional. I wasn't trying to hide anything.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Delaney Evans left just as quickly as she arrived. After initially being brought on during season six to help out Chief Stew Katie Flood , Katie determined that Delaney was doing more harm than good, choosing to let her go after just one charter.

"I think she was overwhelmed with the situation, and I think that, you know, in her mind, the best solution to the situation was just to go back to what they had before," Delaney told Bravo Insider of Katie's decision. "I think she was just overwhelmed with everything that was going on and all the feedback she was getting."

Deckhand Shane Coopersmith was a bit in over his head on season eight of Below Deck , as he was let go for failing to know basic skills, reporting late for duty and taking naps on the job.

Chaos in the kitchen led to Captain Lee Rosbach letting Chef Leon Walker go on season three of Below Deck . After an oven fire broke out , Lee placed the blame on Chief Stew Kate Chastain but was ultimately the one sent home.

Like several of the franchise's stars, Below Deck 's Chris Brown  was fired  during season five for failing to fully perform his duties. After being let go by Captain Lee, Chris shared some parting words as he left the boat, stating , "Who gives a s--t?"

Chef Mila Kolomeitseva was fired by Captain Sandy on season four of Below Deck Mediterranean after failing to use her cooking skills to produce top-quality food for guests—including some not-so-nice nachos .

"Of course it makes me feel awful," Mila said of her departure . "People like me who have big egos sometimes have to be put down to earth a little bit. But it makes me feel like I want to work even harder."

Sometimes people just don't work well together. That's exactly why Captain Lee fired Chandler Brooks during season six of Below Deck , telling the boson, "I don't think it's a good fit."

Kate Chastain Is the Gold Standard of Chief Stews Across 'Below Deck'

Even though Captain Lee Rosbach has been the longest-lasting cast member in the Below Deck cinematic universe, it is Kate Chastain who has seemingly been the face of the franchise. And for good reason! Joining the crew during Below Deck Season 2, Kate didn't necessarily have big shoes to fill. Like any great reality television program, the first season of the franchise had some major growing pains to overcome. As viewers had to learn just how life on a super yacht works, they were introduced to a cast of characters that were tasked to balance work and filming a reality show. In Season 1, fans saw the interior led by Adrienne Gang , who spent the season struggling to cement power among her team and bond with the rest of the yachties. She was super serious and often lacked a personal connection. In the real world, she would likely be a top tier hire, but she just didn't click for the program. For Season 2, she was replaced with Kate, and while it took some time for her to grow a working relationship with Captain Lee and Chef Ben Robinson , fans were taken by her snark and her ability to keep things exciting. Maybe she didn't always do things appropriately. Just look back at the "rocket ship" blanket. What she did was keep things entertaining for the guests and the fans.

Though she has passed her stripes over to new stews, Kate was a part of the flagship program from Season 2 through Season 7. Season after season, Kate has had a revolving door of stews working for her. And not all of them were the best. Kate was determined to be a professional manager, even if her employees could not work at her standards. Kate has had some gold star stews. While she did have a rocky start with Amy Johnson on Below Deck Season 2, they were a formidable pair a season later. Emily Warburton-Adams was a saint for Kate during Season 4. Despite some distractions during Season 5, Brianna Adekeye was the dream 2nd Stew for Kate. But her greatest bond was with a male stew on Season 6, Josiah Carter , who was a professionally trained butler. But for every Amy, Emily, Brianna, or Josiah, Kate suffered with some drama queens. It seems that for every good stew, there was one bad stew on the interior. How Kate was able to keep sane while handling Rocky Dakota in Season 3 is anybody's guess. Rocky would likely have been fired. Instead, Kate bit her tongue as best she could while Rocky stepped in as chef, pouring grenadine on oysters, becoming a boy magnet, toying with ever-so-sweet Emile Kotze , and being a homewrecker to fan favorite Eddie Lucas ' relationship. Season 5 was a season of unfortunate mistakes, as a good portion of the crew lacked experience. And such was the case with Jennifer Howell . Jen, a wonderful mother, was quite lazy and did nothing but irk Kate, who was forced to micromanage everything Jen needed to do. With Josiah being a near-perfect employee for Kate, she had trouble with 3rd Stew Caroline Bedol . Between her bed rest due to her foot injury and giving a two-day notice that turned into a few hours, Caroline was more of a burden and couldn't handle the pressure. Sadly for Kate, Caroline was replaced by Laura Betancourt , who was nothing but a know-it-all and tried to go toe-to-toe with Kate, who immediately put her in her place. Her previous Chief Stew status was nothing on Kate. No matter who Kate had on her team, she managed to succeed, charter after charter. Captain Lee adored Kate, trusting her with everything that needed to be done.

Viewers Should Pay Attention to 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen'

Whether it was the Caribbean or Tahiti, Kate was faced with some of the most incredulous charter guests. And some of those guests came back for more! Part of why these wealthy guests had a desire to return was the experience on board. Their onboard experience can only be credited to the work that Kate and her various teams provided. Oftentimes, she was able to make the impossible possible. One of the most prominent recurring guests was the infamous Dean Slover . Of course, Kate and Mr. Slover came to form their love-hate bond thanks to her phallic-shaped folded blanket on his bed. While Captain Lee was furious and was fearful that it would lead to a reduced tip, Dean Slover was a lover of the joke, and expected an artistic gift on his bed during every charter he was on. He became her charter soulmate as they developed a shorthand.

Unlike Chef Ben who was always receiving a lashing due to the specifically timed meals. Parties are essential on charters. Most of the time they were reasonable, but when the foam wasn't foaming, Kate had to make it up. His appearance in Season 3 was a headache for the crew, so when his name came up during the Season 6 preference sheet meeting, Kate was already prepared. Despite that, his rowdy and demanding behavior resulted in another problematic trip. His flirtatious nature went beyond appropriate, and Kate sadly let her stew stay in the line of fire. No matter what, she's Kate the Great! And Below Deck fans were saying," we told you so," after her two-season star turn on The Traitors .

Fans Have Watched Stews Turn Into Chief Stews Before Their Eyes

Rising in the ranks is true in any industry. Not every chief stew starts on Below Deck in the top position. Fans have been allowed to watch some of their favorites develop on the show, and turn into stews before their eyes as they are hired as chief stews on future seasons, or even future franchises! One of the absolute fan-favorite cast members in the Below Deck cinematic universe is Aesha Scott . The bubbly and high-energy New Zealander first came to fame in the fourth season of Below Deck Mediterranean . She was a hard worker, dedicated to her craft. However she did find love on the open seas. And when trouble was bubbling under the water in Season 5, Aesha was called in to serve as a replacement. As a fan favorite, Aesha was tapped to lead her own Below Deck spin off, serving as the chief stew for seasons 1 and 2 of Below Deck Down Under .

Now at the top of the Stew food chain, Aesha, once again, proved why she is one of the most beloved yachties in Below Deck history. Aesha was personable with everyone, even if she had a troublemaker in the galley with Chef Ryan McKeown . Her bond with Captain Jason Chambers mirrored the close bond Kate Chastain had with Captain Lee. Fans often speculated a budding romance between Aesha and Captain Jason. It was a relationship they wanted to ship off the ship. Aesha was a team player and encouraged the best from her team. She was so strong at her job, she even brilliantly trained a future chief stew, Tumi Mhlongo , who would journey over to Below Deck Mediterranean for Season 8. Though unlike Aesha, Tumi was much stricter, turning off some Below Deck fans in the process.

Below Deck reflects the real world of yachting, displaying what life aboard a yacht might be like in the real world. In general, gender roles play greatly into the employment of certain positions in the yachting industry. On Below Deck Mediterranean , Captain Sandy Yawn was the ferocious first female captain in the Below Deck franchise. She came in with a purpose, to prove that it doesn't have to be in a male-dominated position. While Below Deck did have male stewards, history was made during Season 10 when Fraser Olender became the first male chief stew. And he has proven that he is the official new face of the flagship franchise. Originally joining the crew as a second stew during Season 9, Fraser proved his worth and his ability, so that Captain Lee invited him to serve as the chief stew on the St. David. As fans remember, Captain Lee had a difficult tenth season as he struggled with some severe nerve issues. He had to temporarily leave the charter season to get better. And who better to serve as his substitute than Captain Sandy?

Even though both Captain Sandy and Fraser were groundbreaking when it came to historic hires for Below Deck , they were at odds often during her tenure. She even broke him down to the point where he seemed like a sad puppy trying to do right. Despite that, Fraser was a seasoned professional and ensured that his guests had the best experiences possible. Fraser has an impeccable work ethic, yet still finds a way to entertain himself and his fellow crew. His bond with Chef Rachel Hargrove and stew Haley De Sola Pinto always found a way to let steam off, enjoying the experience in the process. He may not be as strict as Kate was, but like Kate, he's had some terrible stews under him. He somehow managed to handle the mess that was Camille Lamb and Alissa Humber drama during Season 10. For Below Deck , Season 11 was a major transition season as it marked the first season without Captain Lee fully at the helm. Captain Kerry Titheradge transitioned over from Below Deck Adventure to take over. With a new captain, it made sense that Fraser returned as Chief Stew. Below Deck is in more than capable hands with Fraser Olender. His legacy is just beginning.

Below Deck is a beloved Bravo series. And it's thanks to some of the brilliant characters the fans have met along the way. In the history of the franchise, there have been many more other Chief Stews that have been monumental and could easily be discussed in this article. Good thing that the franchise isn't going anywhere anytime soon! Without a great Chief Stew, the charter season would fail. And with a failed season, comes a bad season on Below Deck . The chief stew is the lifeline of the franchise.
