This 3-owner Offshore 40 Cheoy Lee is in good condition and has been well cared for. To protect the teak, she comes with full canvas covers for the entire coach roof house, cockpit and toe rails. The teak decks were refurbished in 2019. The bottom was last painted in November 2021. The complete rebuild of the Perkins 104-7 engine was completed by S&W Diesel of Wilmington, CA in September 2023. The Borg Warner transmission has also been bench-tested with all external seals replaced by Tom Harpur of Chris Craft. All 2 1/2" wire-reinforced exhaust hoses have been replaced and the engine bay has been cleaned and refreshed. A full anti-siphon system has been added to the engine as well. Stock #347098 Beautiful Cheoy Lee Sloop. Newly Rebuilt Engine. Are you ready for a nice getaway in this classic? In 1969 Cheoy Lee shipyard built this Offshore 40, yard number 2248. She is an "E" plan configuration which gives her plenty of room below with V-berth forward, a head and convertible dinette to port, with the chart table and two single berths to starboard. The owner indicates her first owner was the Cheoy Lee dealer in Marina Del Rey, California who used her as a demonstration boat for the dealership. Her second owner maintained the boat and made many improvements to her as his liveaboard. The Seller purchased her in 1979 and has owned her for over forty-one years. She is an outstanding example of the Phil Rhodes design, Offshore 40 class. The forward head has been enlarged with the enclosure of the forward door and has two dry lockers immediately adjacent. The galley is on the port side with four burner propane stove and ice box. The interior was refurbished in 2013. The engine aboard is the Perkin 40 hp. She carries 30 gallons of fuel, and 85 gallons of water. She has 5 sails in her inventory. Mains: North battenless roller reefing main and batten main with three reef points. Head Sails: Genoa 150 (hanked on sail bag), Working and Storm head sails. Spruce Spinnaker 14 Ft, Dico Aluminum Spinnaker 12-22 Ft with bridle. This beautiful Cheoy Lee is ready for new adventures. Genoa and mainsail halyards and the lines for the two furlers are brought back onto powerful stoppers that free the halyard winch, whenever necessary. All handling lines are to hand. The Oceanis 40CC's deck is totally logical, simple and efficient, with steps in the transom (standard bathing ladder), liferaft fixing point on aft coachroof, solid aluminum bulwark the full length of the hull, as well as an aluminum rubbing strake. The numerous opening hatches and Dorade vents are positioned in such a way so as not to impede movement on deck. The chainplates for the upper and lower shrouds, which are positioned right against the coachroof, also leave the side decks completely free for easy access to the foredeck for the sunbathing area and the electric windlass. In the interior, the warm atmosphere (cherry finish) on board the Oceanis 40CC is essential to a good quality of life on board. To starboard, the saloon table and the raised settees ensure a pleasant "sea view" from inside the boat. Opposite to port, is the navigation station: chart table with stowage, bookshelves, 16-function electrical control panel, and all the room you need for on-board electronics. In the forward cabin, your guests have a large double berth, hanging locker, many other lockers and an en suite head compartment. In the passageway to port, which runs alongside the large engine compartment, the Oceanis 40CC's galley has everything you would normally find in the best-equipped kitchens: freezer, refrigerator, double stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurised water, three-burner gimballed stove and many cupboards and drawers.
