Berth Description

Dominated by the ancient volcano of Mont Saint-Loup, the Port of Cap d’Agde offers excellent shelter. The site is vast, consisting of a long fore-harbour and 10 basins with 3100 berths.

Managed by the Sodéal company, it also called the “Principal Port” and is located in the heart of the French department of Languedoc Roussillon, Cap d’Agde is an ideal starting point for your Mediterranean cruises and harbours multihull vessels.

The 10 basins of Cap d’Agde Port offer atmospheres as different as complementary. In turn sporting, playful, epicurean … the basins unveil their assets throughout your stay between sea and volcano, the improbable combination of water and fire. Ideal base for Mediterranean cruises to Spain (50 miles), the Balearic Islands (200 miles) or to Corsica (230 miles).

Nautical activities and yachting courses at the Nautical Centre of the Port of Cap d’Agde complete the services offered throughout the year: regattas, big game and wholesale fishing, scuba diving, nautical rallies, jet skiing.

At the foot of the ancient Saint-Loup volcano, in the peaceful rhythm of the mediterraneean waves, free your imagination and contemplate unseeable landscapes from the lands. Take advantage of an unique viewpoint of the marina and huge yachts still from the Coches d’Eau. Salute the legendary Fort Brescou built on an ancient volcano from the offshore of the Richelieu harbour… Coche d’Eau will delight you. The marina construction story will be told to you through its multiple aspects, from the VIP linked to this place; its renown; its geological construction and its Mediterranean wildlife. All of these will be presented to you by Les Coches d’Eau. A sea adventure to live alone, in family, in couples or with friends.

Les Coches d’Eau : Your travel are eased for 45 years now !

Les Coches d’Eau settled in Cap d’Agde marina in 1975 where is currently the main dock.

The first boat with a 14 passengers capacity is celebrated. With the growing Cap d’Agde renown, more and more visitors are attracted. Secondary resident as well as regular habitants already appreciate the easy-of-use boat in order to get in a few minutes to their destination.

In the early 90s, a newer and more spacious boat replaced the historical boat for the happiness of tourists. It has a capacity of 50 persons.

It was in 2006, that two additional ships widened the Coches d’Eau fleet. With elegant and modern lines, Les Coches d’Eau are enhanced with aluminum composition. Comfortable, they can now transport up to 170 passengers.

In 2020, Les Coches d’Eau has been fully renovated. -New iron structure situated on the main pier as well as the 12 gates dispatched in the harbour have been changed. -New modern and global design in order to spread a more current image of Les Coches d’Eau. – Services for the public retought for greater clarity. -The creation of communication tools to bring a stronger visibility in the leasure harbour. After 45 years facing the aggressive marine winds, burning sun and the several changes in temperature, a new lifting became mandatory, on the three boats !

Coches d’Eau users are glad to use our boats to avoid traffic jam but also because it eases the transportation from one place to another and to enjoy a maritime stroll in the leasure harbour. Regulars like to do over and over strolls aboard the Coches d’Eau each year in family. Sea breeze, beach mood, breathtaking landscape unseeable from land, summer micro-climate, blue sky reflecting in the sea,friendliness… all of this mixed on board to give to our users a true moment of happiness. Csr – corporate social responsibility.

Currently in the process of obtaining the Quality Tourism label, the company Les Coches d’Eau is committed to the success of an CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) approach adapted to its seasonal tourist activity. Established in Cap d’Agde since 1975, a change of ownership occurred in 2019. Les Coches d’Eau then renewed all the aging public gantries that signal the pontoons. Clear information on services and fees adapted to each individual is now available everywhere, with full transparency.

Part of the staff continues the summer adventure aboard the boats since the start of the company. Regular updates are exchanged on the company’s development. Friendly moments punctuate each end of seasons. The harsh marine environment leads us to organize repairs and anticipate breakdowns during the high season with certain spare mechanical parts, allowing for quick repairs to the boats and minimizing disruptions to the services offered.

During the high season, at a time when the use of automobiles is almost impossible, Les Coches d’Eau boats encourage sustainable mobility by transporting passengers from one point to another in the Marina, with subscriptions open to all. Since the change of management, both the boats and gantries are cleaned with biodegradable washing products. Unable to install bins or ashtrays on the quay, we have a small container on the boat to collect items such as ice cream wrappers or paper towels, immediately sorted and disposed of in nearby public containers.

To achieve this, we've put in place a number of rules and tricks.

First of all, we limit the number of unlimited subscribers to 6, and almost all our boats are available all year round (excluding annual maintenance). Depending on the zone, this represents between 600 and 900 available slots to share per year.

Secondly, thanks to our technology, boats can be booked by the hour. It is therefore possible for several subscribers to use the same time slot. For example, a fisherman may decide to go out from 5am to 9am, and the boat will be available from 9:30am for another subscriber for the rest of the morning. This multiplies the number of slots available to subscribers, and it's not unusual for our boats to be out 3 or 4 times a day with different subscribers.

Finally, we've introduced a token policy, to limit the number of slots blocked by a subscriber, so that other subscribers always have the chance to join the schedule. For example, if you have 2 tokens available with your subscription, you can reserve 2 slots that often correspond to 2 ½ days. You can therefore reserve 2 ½ days on different dates, or 1 full day.

You collect your token at the start of the outing and can book your next outing for the following days if the boat is available.

This technique, which has been tried and tested over the past 3 years, ensures smooth scheduling and equal access to the boat for all, and in no way limits the number of outings possible per subscriber.

The token system is a very fair system for each member of a boat. It allows each subscriber to block reservation slots.

The fact that tokens are limited in number for each subscriber guarantees availability at all times. E.g.: like the other members, you have 2 reservation tokens. If there are 6 members on the boat, you can have up to 12 slots blocked on the schedule, but no more, because as long as your tokens have not been used up, it is not possible to place others. The same applies to other subscribers.

The mobile app only reallocates tokens once you've used up your outing. This system guarantees fairness for every member! And there's no possibility of abuse of reservations by one member or another.

No, it is not possible to pay the advertised monthly subscription rate. The monthly rate is valid for a full year. This is a payment option that requires a minimum 12-month commitment. 

No, for legal and mainly insurance reasons, the contract is nominative.

The boat captain is responsible for the boat under the contract, and must be on board for every trip. However, you can take as many people (friends or family) as the boat's capacity allows.

There is a maximum of 6 Liberty Pass subscribers per boat. Exceptional cases, à la carte, can optimize the use of the boat.

The Cap d’Agde Boat Show is an important event for sailing enthusiasts, offering an opportunity to discover the latest trends in the nautical industry and enjoy the charms of the French Mediterranean coast. It will take place from October 28 to November 1.

This year, Jean Galfione will be the sponsor of this edition, the Olympic pole-vault champion who converted to sailing as a professional skipper. In particular he has taken part in several prestigious races such as the America’s Cup, the Route du Rhum and the Jacques-Vabre transatlantic race.

The shipyard will present several iconic Dufour sailboats, such as the Dufour 37 with its exceptional living space for a 10-metre monohull. Pleasantly surprised, service is good so is the food. Great selection of Fusion food, a mixture of Italian, Japanese, European, Asian etc. A pleasantly nice dining experience, highly recommended, a must try!

Best food, best view in Moscow. absolutely faultless from arrival to finish. Best risotto i had for many years absolutely perfectly cooked. The view on Ukrainian hotel and the white house by night is amazing

Had to wait for the food for 1.5 hours and then another 20 minutes for the check. Finally called for the manager and he offered... a 10% discount as a compensation. Simply pathetic! The food is mediocre at best. Not bad per se, but one... would expect something better considering the prices. There are many places to eat in area that are much better. Avoid this one at all costs. Food is very expensive,very pretentious, doesn't worth that money. Portions are very small. We ordered ravioli and there were 4! Four raviolis! For almost 15 euros. Then we asked to bring us dessert menu but nothing, they didn't even bothered, so we payed and left... without dessert. Very poor service for that price. More

This is a very good restaurant. The food is really good, maybe the best in Moscow. The service is also good. The view from the restaurant is great. The prices are very high.

I often visit this restaurant and must say it’s one of the best in Moscow in terms of quality and service. Staff really try hard to make sure that you are happy and satisfied. Customer service is a huge problem in Moscow but Chaika sets... a great example for others in the industry! Food is delicious and the menu has lots of options for everyone! Visited this lovely restaurant with a friend of mine. It was relaxingly warm August evening - so the place on the river seemed like a good idea. We came quite early and the restaurant was not full. The hostesses kindly offered several places to sit... and we chose to sit on the sofas. We had some wine, which was good. We struggled a bit when deciding about the food as few options (scallops) were not available. Fish on ice on display did not look very fresh. To be honest it was an unusually hot August and it is probably understandable that some see food options were not available. However, we did manage to order something and sat waiting and looking onto the river. My long-legged friend struggled sitting at the low sofa and the manager noticed that, offering as a very good, proper table beside the open window. It was nice touch and I was very pleased by their polite observations and immediate reaction to solve the problem. Food was quite good and presentation was perfect. Perhaps I can something about the food, but 1 visit is not enough to criticize or make a definitive opinion. Overall, quality place, which of course, does not come cheap. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. More

We had a great rest in the club with friends! Incendiary and cheerful atmosphere, amazing youth music, variety of drinks! The most important thing for a great holiday!
