This motor yacht ETOILE DU NORD is a 46 metre 151 (ft) large steel boat which was made by Ateliers Et Chantiers C Auroux and designed by At & Ch C Auroux. Sleeping 12 guests and 12 professional crew, motor yacht ETOILE DU NORD was once called Havre De Grace. The naval architecture office which delivered this yacht's drawings with respect to the yacht was At. & Ch. C. Auroux.

The Construction & Design relating to Luxury Yacht ETOILE DU NORD

At & Ch C Auroux was the naval architect involved in the formal vessel plans for ETOILE DU NORD. At & Ch C Auroux is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this yacht. In 1968 she was actually launched with triumph in Arcachon and following sea trials and final completion was thereafter delivered to the yacht owner. Ateliers Et Chantiers C Auroux completed their new build motor yacht in France. A moderate proportion is manifested with a widest beam (width) of 7.53 m / 24.7 feet. With a 3.87m (12.7ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly deep. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is created out of steel. In 1992 further refit work and modernisation was also performed.

Installed with two BAUDOUIN diesel main engines, ETOILE DU NORD is able to attain a high speed of 15 knots. She is driven by a single screw propeller. As for thrusters she was fitted with Cramm. For stabalisers she uses Vosper.

I am a Swedish skipper and sailing teacher who organise sailing events. In my spare time I work as a deckhand on passenger ferries and tall ships.

I spent my youth sailing in the Stockholm archipelago, as well as on tall ships in the Baltic sea, the North sea and across the South China sea. After an international career as a dancer and choreographer based in Paris, France, I decided to follow my dream of sailing. «  You can take the girl out of the ocean, but you can’t take the ocean out of the girl. » Hence, I am back at sea since 2020, sharing my passion for sailing and the archipelago with the world.

Her sailboat is moored in the port of Dalarö, a sailor’s paradise that is a 45-minute drive from Stockholm. Shortly after 10 a.m. we started – well “packed” in Karin’s sailing gear – on a 6-hour sailing tour around the island of Nämdö. Thanks to the good wind (it seems like there’s almost always wind here!) we were able to moor in a small bay and eat something for lunch. Karin is not only fluent in French and English, she is also an extremely interesting woman. We would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to explore the archipelago.
