STEEL Yacht for Charter

Those looking for something a bit different in a luxury yacht will find an expedition vessel that offers an extraordinary charter experience. The 180'1" (54.9m) STEEL is an inspired choice. She was launched in 2009 from the Pendennis shipyard and offers great performance combined with onboard luxuries. She can accommodate up to 12 guests and the group can expect first-class service from the crew of 11 experts. Being an expedition yacht, she is able to embrace any adventure, from Arctic conditions to the tropics, but tends to focus on charters in the Mediterranean. She was refitted in 2017.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YACHT

The yacht’s interior is spacious, stylish and flawlessly designed by Liebowitz & Pritchard. The guests sleep in seven welcoming staterooms comprising a master, a double, four twins, and a single. Six Pullman berths are also available. The flexible accommodation means she is ideal for family groups or parties of friends. The guests can make full use of the spa pool, sunbathing areas, high-tech gymnasium, and social areas, including a traditional gentleman’s bar. The style on board is classic, luxurious and welcoming. High-tech stabilizers, both at anchor and underway, ensure a steady charter at all times. The cuisine is another highlight. It can be tailored by the talented chef to suit each destination, occasion and charter party.

FUN AND LUXURY ON CHARTER

As well as enjoying the experience of cruising on the high seas and the first-class crew service, the guests can make the very most of the ocean with the Wave Runners and inflatable water toys. There is also a Zodiac tender. Hotspot destinations include France, Italy, and Monaco, with the Amalfi Coast, French Riviera, Sardinia and Corsica being favored spots for charters.

Offering a wealth of uncluttered spaces throughout, expedition yacht Steel is tailor-made for adventures across the high seas; from the tropics to the poles, where all you need to do is kick-back, relax and enjoy the spectacular vistas as you cruise on by.

Guest Accommodation

Families will particularly love Steel thanks to her child-friendly setup. Built in 2009, She offers guest accommodation for up to 12 guests with a layout comprising a master suite, one double cabin, four twin cabins and one single cabin. There are 15 beds in total, including 2 king, 8 singles and 6 pullmans. She is also capable of carrying up to 11 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

You and your guests can enjoy a variety of experiences on Steel including a gym with all the latest equipment to maintain your fitness routine. Sit back with a glass of champagne in the deck jacuzzi.

Whatever your activities on your charter, you'll find some impressive features are seamlessly integrated to help you including Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to stay connected at all times, should you wish. Guests will experience complete comfort while chartering thanks to air conditioning.

Performance & Range

Steel is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 5,190 nautical miles at cruising speed. An advanced stabilisation system on board reduces the side-to-side roll of the yacht and promises guests exceptional comfort levels at anchor or when underway.

Steel knows a thing or two about fun on the water, with a selection of water toys and accessories for you and your guests to enjoy whilst on charter. You'll be loving the huge adrenaline rush as you zip over the water on one of the Yamaha WaveRunners. In addition there are three waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. Additionally, there are two F5 S SEABOBs providing agile cruising and diving. If that isn't enough Steel also features wakeboards, kayaks, fishing equipment, paddleboards and snorkelling equipment. When it's time to travel from land to see, it couldn't be easier with a 10m/32'10" Zodiac Hurricane Tender.

Steel is available upon request for charter this winter. She is already accepting bookings this summer for cruising in the Mediterranean.

Pendennis' 35m expedition yacht 'Project Fox' is listed for sale through Burgess Yachts

Pendennis and Burgess Yachts today have announced that the 35m expedition style yacht “Project Fox” is for sale, with Ian Sherwood from Burgess acting as the central broker. Currently in build at Pendennis’ Falmouth facility the project features interior and exterior styling from Q London. Once completed and launched in the Spring of 2023 “Project Fox” will represent the very best of British engineering and interior design. Pendennis’ Commercial Director, Stephen Hills commented “The sale of one of our yachts part-way through its build process is a first for Pendennis, but we think this is an exciting opportunity for a new Owner to make this stunning yacht their own. As well as taking delivery of a brand new yacht with a shortened lead time, the new Owner would also be joining an exceptionally strong build team here at Pendennis with the project engineering and scheduled works in full swing.” Ian Sherwood, sales broker, Burgess further explained “Burgess has always enjoyed a positive relationship with Pendennis and we are delighted to be, once again, collaborating on this exciting new build. Combining the best of British talents, this yacht will be a great example of British craftsmanship and a wonderful show piece to the rest of the world.”

Mitseaah READ LISTING DISCLAIMER

The 155-foot (47.50m) MITseaAH was built by Pendennis Shipyard in 2004; she features the stylish designs of Liebowitz & Pritchard.

MITseaAH has a unique ability to perform incredibly under high speeds, whether power or sail. The concept behind this yacht was to create a singular-performance machine that embodied a unique architectural and visual experience for all on board. She offers high-speed motoring or alternately, top-performance sailing. She was the first superyacht to offer both. MITseaAH features a sizable deckhouse and a variety of exterior guest areas. She also has a sculptural counter-stern deck, a wind-screened aft lounge and a one-of-a-kind dining lounge on the foredeck, ideal for alfresco meals with incredible views. MITseaAH’s hull was created with a combination of 3D and 2D elements for numerically controlled (NC) platecutting. All aspects of the yacht’s design, engineering and construction have been certified to the MCA Code of Practice. Finishes, materials and joiner details were designed to create harmony and interest, while avoiding cliché and pretension, all combining to create the unique luxury yacht that is MITseaAH.

Accommodation

Thanks to her incredible design and layout, MITseaAH’s interior melds perfectly with her exterior spaces to create an indoor-outdoor feel on board. She can accommodate 11 guests in five cabins, which include one master stateroom with a king-size bed, three guest cabins with two queen beds and one additional guest cabin with a twin set — all bathrooms are en-suite.

Pendennis Yachts

UK-based construction and refit specialists, Pendennis ranks amongst the world’s most respected superyacht shipyards. With a history spanning more than 35 years, and having completed 30 custom yacht builds and more than 300 major refit projects, the shipyard operates across the full spectrum of industry sectors including the construction of fully custom yachts up to 60 metres LOA and the refit, rebuild and restoration of yachts up to 85 metres LOA.

Evolution of Pendennis

Pendennis was founded in 1988 after yachtsman and entrepreneur Peter de Savary acquired a yacht manufacturer and relocated it to Falmouth Docks. Henk Wiekens and Mike Carr led a management buyout from de Savary in 1992, steering the business to the international success that it is today. The company currently employs 550 people across its three main locations – a 14 acre superyacht facility in Falmouth, a 48-berth superyacht marina and technical service centre in Vilanova, near Barcelona, and a dedicated interiors workshop in Norfolk specialising in turnkey superyacht and residential interiors as well as custom furniture pieces.

Notable Pendennis Yachts

Built in 2011, the 44.2-metre sailing catamaran Hemisphere was designed in partnership with Van Peteghem Lauriot Prevost and Michael Leach Designs . She has accommodations for twelve guests in five ensuite staterooms. The 59-metre classic yacht Marala , built in 1931 as Evadne , was designed by Camper & Nicholsons and restored by Pendennis in 2022. It offers accommodations for 12 guests who are looked after by 19 crew.
