Best Sailing Catamaran in Fajardo

We had a great trip last week. Very professional and organized staff. A local who has been on a lot of catamarans in PR told is this is the best one there and has the best staff, lunch etc. Lunch was simple, yet well displayed and yummy. Traditional bread with fresh tuna salad and lunch meats, fruit, cookies, sodas, rum punch and pina coladas. Very enjoyable. We had 11 in our group from ages 3 to 71. Fun was had by all. highly recommend!

Even though our trip was cut short due to bad weather, which they gave us a discount for, this was awesome trip. We met great people, the crew was friendly and attentive and the water was simply beautiful. My only "complaint" would be that there was a mixture of couples and families which kind of changes the party mood us couples were in. I'd suggest they try to do a better job of separating the groups.

We had a blast on this tour. The service was amazing. We laid out on the boat soaking up the sun most of the time and the staff came and refilled our drinks for us. The island we went to was really fun to walk around and explore a little. The snorkeling wasn't that great for us because the water was really choppy that day but you can't blame Spread Eagle for that. Even with the low visibility (15 feet max) we still saw a lot of cool fish. The lunch they served was delicious. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We had to drive about an hour from San Juan to Fajardo -- through quite a sketchy neighborhood (think cages over windows; cages over entire houses!) -- to get to where the Spread Eagle II was docked, but once we arrived we felt safe. We were greeted enthusiastically by the crew and quickly made friends with the 30 or so other passengers on the boat. Bench seating is arranged in an oval, with a bar setup in the center, upon which a simple but sufficient lunch spread was laid out. Various cold cuts, very good bread, deviled eggs (not very good), tuna salad and fresh fruit, cookies and beverages were served, and delicious rum punch and pina coladas were poured as well. I believe there was a charge for beer, if desired. Music added to the festive atmosphere. Snorkel gear is provided and the tube and mouthpiece are yours to keep. Underwater disposable cameras are sold onboard. I don't remember the price, but I do remember it did not seem inflated. The boat made two snorkeling stops.. On the first stop, we didn't see any marine life at all, but the second was absolutely gorgeous -- like swimming through an aquarium! Even our 10-year-old had a wonderful day. This snorkel trip was our fondest memory from that vacation.

San Juan, Oct. 1 - 7 2009 Went on sail,snorkel and snuba trip on the spread eagle II in Fajardo, the crew for the spread eagle II are the best. They greet you as soon as you arrive and before you even board the boat they are offering you drinks. We had been looking for a snuba trip and the only one we could find on line was not doing it anymore so to our surprise amado and andrea were on the boat offering snuba, for 59.00 (well worth the price) I have anexity attacks and was a little scared at first but at the first stop Anado gets out in the water with you and lets you practice to see if it is something you can and want to do. Well let me tell you I did it and so did my 65 yr. old mother and my sister who is a cancer surriver. Amado went with my mom and sister and gave the all the attention and help they needed, he never took his eyes off of them and Andrea went with me and showed me how to just relax and enjoy the beauty of the bottom of the ocean. Anado even found and gave my mom a shell from the bottom. I am telling all that read this you MUST take the Spread Eagle II and snorkel and snuba i promise you, you will have the time of your life. We did many things while in san juan zip line, snorkel, old san juan etc. but our day with the crew of spread eagle II was the best. And the food was awesome. their web site its www.snorkelpr.com.

My advice would be to make sure that you have a backup plan for that day's activities if you book this excursion. They are exceptionally disorganized. Many, many people were unable to go out on this excursion due to their lack of planning, organization, and mismanagement. Just have a backup plan.
