Here's Where the Cast of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 Is Now

Did the drama continue?

below deck sailing yacht season 3

Since it debuted back in 2020, Bravo’s spin-off Below Deck Sailing Yacht has certainly delivered some of the most dramatic feuds and steamy boatmances, and it looks as if Season 3 is no different.

While Captain Glenn Shephard is returning to take the lead of the Parsifal III, there’s a lot that’s changed, including a brand new crew and filming location. The cast will be sailing through the stunning waters of Menorca, Spain, but they’ll definitely be hitting some rocky moments, especially when it comes to returning crew members Gary and Daisy’s love-hate romance.

Well, it seems as if there’s more to come as Bravo teases one of the most unexpected crew hookups in Below Deck history. Say what? With so much having happened during the cast’s filming last summer, what exactly have they been up to since?

Captain Glenn Shephard

Daisy kelliher - chief stew.

When Season 3 wrapped, Daisy Kelliher, who returned aboard the Parsifal III as chief stew, took some much-needed vacation time. Kelliher hit up Antigua in the Caribbean , which is where she rang in the New Year and has remained since filming. Considering her ongoing love-hate relationship with fellow castmate Gary King, Daisy remains single for the time being, but she’s certainly not fallen out of love with traveling. Despite appearing to be living the life so many wish they could, Daisy revealed she’s been suffering from severe separation anxiety as she shared just how hectic and demanding her line of work could be in a February 13, 2022 post on Instagram

Gary King - First Officer

Being involved in Bravo drama is nothing new for Gary, especially after his steamy season with Daisy. Well, after wrapping up season three in Menorca, Gary took some time off to reunite with his family; sharing an adorable photo of him and his niece, Ava , on Instagram. The Bravo star is currently in St. Lucia , soaking up the sun, but he hasn’t managed to escape the drama. After sharing a kiss with Daisy Kelliher in the most recent season three trailer, fans have been wondering if he and Daisy are an item. Well, despite the rumors, Gary and Daisy aren’t dating, after confirming to E! News that the two are “just friends.”

Colin McRae - Chief Engineer

Colin McRae has returned to his old stomping grounds aboard the Parsifal III, and considering his love for sailing, fans aren’t surprised to see the Bravo star back on their screens. Since wrapping up last summer’s filming, it didn't take too much time before Colin and fellow Chief Stew Daisy reunited back in December. Since then, Colin has given most of his time to his YouTube channel, Sailing Parlay , which features an array of videos showcasing his sailing adventures. Things are clearly going well for Colin’s online presence, considering he was rewarded with a YouTube 100,000 subscriber count plaque back on February 6. "It has been 4 years of VERY hard work, possibly the hardest of any sailing channel out there that I know of so far, and to reach this milestone is so gratifying for us,” he wrote on Instagram.

Marcos Spaziani - Chef

Say hello to Bravo’s newest chef, Marcos Spaziani. The Venezuela native has been in the industry for over 10 years and is bringing his culinary expertise to the waters of Menorca. It didn’t take much time for Marcos to make a name for himself following season three of Below Deck Sailing Yacht . Spaziani is currently settled in California and has decided to open up his very own restaurant in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Marcos and fellow chef Louis Huh have been working diligently on their newest business venture, ML Eats LA .

Gabriela Barragan - 2nd Stew

Gabriela Barragan reigns from San Diego and while she’s new to the Below Deck crew, she is certainly no stranger to yachting . Barragan has worked as both a stewardess and a deckhand over the course of the last two years and has continued her yachtie life after filming season three of Sailing Yacht . Gabriela spent January and February working a yacht in St. Thomas. After living and working the island life, Gabriela took to Instagram to share that all of her “ wildest dreams are coming true ,” and considering she’s spending her days sailing through crystal clear waters, we don’t blame her.

Ashley Marti - 3rd Stew

Ashley Marti is making her Below Deck Sailing Yacht debut, and she’s relatively new to the industry. Marti first began working on yachts at the start of the pandemic. Although she reigns from New York , Marti is currently a West Coast gal as she takes in the Los Angeles sun alongside a few of her castmates. Since wrapping up Season 3, Ashley traveled through the United States and the Bahamas and is adamant about returning back aboard the Parsifal III, so Bravo fans just might be seeing more of her in the future.

Kelsi Goglia - Deckhand

Kelsi Goglia is making her Bravo debut this season of Sailing Yacht. After catching the travel bug following a trip to Croatia, Kelsi has been a yachtie ever since, and it doesn’t look like she’s turning back any time soon. She currently resides in San Diego, California, and loves herself some travel, as most Below Deck crew members do. While her romantic life remains a mystery, it’s clear she’s too busy roaming the world to settle down just yet.

Tom Pearson - Deckhand

Growing up on a lake , Tom Pearson is no stranger to the water, but he’s brand new to the Bravo family. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht deckhand was spotted getting his boatmance on, making us all wonder if he’ll be headed toward hot waters. Well, it seems as if Pearson remains single, but his life is anything but boring. After returning home to Windermere, England, Tom has kept busy surfing through the British waters but has taken quite a liking to his new image. The Bravo star has been attending a number of events following his newfound fame, including his most recent appearance in London, England for the launch of a new app on January 20.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3: next episode, trailer, cast and everything we know

Bravo’s Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 is underway and the only thing calm may be the water.

Chef Marcos cooking on Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 is here, and Captain Glenn Shephard is back to balancing the demands of vacationers with the drama of his crew. And let’s face it, in most instances, the baggage of his crew far outweighs the luggage of any guest.

This season takes the show to the waters surrounding Menorca, Spain. The breathtaking views only serve as momentary interruptions to the hookups, the confrontations, the injuries and the occasional emergencies of the new season. Given the interesting dynamic that already exists between returning crew members like Daisy Kelliher and Gary King, the addition of a new chef, new stews and new deckhands make sailing anything but smooth aboard the Parsifal III.

Here’s what we know about Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3.

When is the next Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 episode?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 premiered on Monday, February 21. New episodes continue to air on Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo TV in the US. Episodes are available the next day in the UK on Hayu , which can be included as part of a Prime Video subscription. Additionally, Peacock via Sky TV or NOW TV also offers next-day streaming for Bravo content.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is back with the first part of the season 3 reunion airing on Monday, June 27, at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo. After a tumultuous season full of drama and love triangles, it will be interesting to see what the cast has to say to one another when they face off.

By the way, have you read why fans are grossed out by Ashely's grilled cheese feast ?

What happens on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew having drinks

Viewers of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 will recall that the last time the crew was together, first mate Gary King was involved in a messy love triangle with deckhand Sydney Zaruba and stew Alli Dore. While fans of the show won’t have to worry about seeing King in a continuation of that love saga, based on the trailer, King will again find himself entangled in a romance. It appears he entangles with chief stew Daisy Kelliher of all people. While the two appeared to make amends at last year’s reunion after feuding all season 2, no one expected the two to be locking lips.

Additionally, it should be noted that Below Deck Sailing Yacht is done with love triangles, as Bravo TV teases this season fans can expect to see a “twisted love pentagon.” More may not turn out to be merrier in this case.

Fans of the show will also remember that Captain Glenn Shephard and his crew were involved in an accident during season 2 . Season 3 shows how Captain Shephard has been able to bounce back from the incident while also trying to avoid another potentially disastrous event.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 cast

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 includes returning crew Captain Glenn Shephard, chief stew Daisy Kelliher, chief engineer Colin MacRae and first mate Gary King. These members are joined by chef Marcos Spaziani, second stew Gabriela Barragan, third stew Ashley Marti, as well as deckhands Kelsie Goglia and Tom Pearson.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 looks like it’s not light on the conflict or surprised hookups.

For those needing more details about that kiss between Gary and Daisy, hear from Daisy herself as she provides a little more insight on their involvement.

How to watch Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3

New episodes of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 air live on Mondays in the US. With a subscription, episodes can also be streamed live via Fubo TV , Hulu with Live TV , Sling TV and YouTube TV . Additionally, Peacock provides next-day streaming for its subscribers. In order to access episodes, would-be viewers will have to subscribe to Peacock Premium , which offers either a $4.99 ad-supported or $9.99 ad-free plan.

Viewers in the UK can watch episodes the day after they air using Hayu .

Who's leaving Below Deck Sailing Yacht?

It looks like everyone's favorite Below Deck chef is calling it quits. Marcos Spaziani recently took to Twitter to announce that he has no plans on returning for another season.

I want to thank everyone for the big support and great comments. I never thought in my life I would bring so much inspiration to so many ppl and for that I’m very grateful and also blessed! But I can’t go back to the next season. #BelowDeckSailingYacht #belowdecksailing pic.twitter.com/CLTmtLV7yP June 1, 2022

Gary, Daisy, Colin, and Captain Glenn Are Back for 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 3

Shannon Raphael - Author

Jan. 25 2022, Published 4:49 p.m. ET

After Season 2 featured plenty of hook-ups, a few COVID-19 scares, and one boat damage incident, Below Deck Sailing Yacht is set to return for a third season in February 2022. The hit Bravo series is a spin-off of Below Deck , and the Parsifal III crew members must navigate boatmances, crew drama, and high-maintenance guests while also dealing with the stresses of working on an active sailing vessel.

The Parsifal III crew members are living and working together in Menorca, Spain in Season 3. A teaser trailer came out on Jan. 24, and it indicated that it will be an absolutely unforgettable charter season.

Like other Below Deck franchises, the Season 3 cast of Below Deck Sailing Yacht consists of several returners and plenty of new faces. Keep scrolling to find out who is on deck this season.

1. Glenn Shephard (Captain)

One thing that fans of the Below Deck franchise can count on is consistency when it comes to the captains. Below Deck Sailing Yacht is no different, as Captain Glenn is back at the helm for his third season.

2. Daisy Kelliher (Chief Steward)

The Irish interior crew leader is back on Parsifal III for her second season. Though Daisy largely stayed above the fray in terms of the boatmances and drama in Season 2, things are about to change for her.

3. Gary King (Bosun)

While Gary claimed in the trailer that he wouldn't be getting involved in any complicated love situations like he did in his first season on the show, the bosun will be an active participant in a love pentagon on Season 3.

To further make matters awkward, one of the women involved in said love pentagon is Daisy. Will the bosun and the chief stew become a power couple, or will their romance hit the rocks?

4. Colin MacRae (Chief Engineer)

The chief engineer was a fan favorite in Season 2 because of his ability to stir the pot, and it doesn't appear as if anything has changed in the new season.

"I do enjoy a little bit of drama here and there," Colin said in the teaser clip. "It keeps me entertained."

Here's to hoping that Colin will continue to keep things interesting by sharing a bit of harmless crew gossip when needed.

5. Marcos Spaziani (Chef)

The food expert has a full decade of prior experience as a chef, and he trained in his home country of Venezuela. While cooking on a moving sailing vessel is certainly exciting, Marcos is set to open a restaurant in Los Angeles in the near future.

6. Gabriela Barragan (Second Stew)

Gabriela has experience working on both the deck and on the interior team, but she will be Daisy's right-hand woman in Season 3. The San Diego native has been in the yachting industry for about two years.

7. Ashley Marti (Third Stew)

The New Yorker is new to Below Deck Sailing Yacht for Season 3, and she's previously worked on boats in Florida and in the Bahamas. She embarked on a career in the yachting industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.

8. Kelsie Goglia (Deckhand)

When Kelsie isn't working on deck, she resides in San Diego. The deckhand is new to the show, and she loves to spend time outside and in the water.

9. Tom Pearson (Deckhand)

The final deckhand grew up surrounded by water, so working on yachts ultimately became the right fit for him. Though Tom is serious about his career, he's also interested in a bit of romance on Season 3.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 is set to debut on Monday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. The show will also be available to stream on Peacock.

The 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 3 Trailer Is Here: Watch!

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Glen Shepard

Season 3 of the series is returning Monday, Feb. 21.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is back for season 3 with new and familiar faces and sea-level chaos! In the latest trailer for the hit Bravo series, Captain Glenn Shephard is back on the epic Parsifal III,  sailing across the beautiful waters in Menorca, Spain.

“When you go sailing, you never really know what the conditions are going to be like,” Captain Shephard says at the beginning of the trailer before the preview of the chaos aboard the luxury yacht plays out.

Returning this season are chief stew Daisy Kelliher, chief engineer Colin MacRae and first mate Gary King. Joining the vets on board the yacht are a few new faces, chef Marcos Spaziani, second stew Gabriela Barragan, third stew Ashley Marti, and deckhands Kelsie Goglia and Tom Pearson.

From the looks of it, this season is set to bring all the action and drama as the crew manages to navigate various hookups (and makeout sessions), power struggles, injuries and a storm that looks like it could take the boat underwater.

In the new trailer, we see that Tom, who isn’t ashamed of showing off his self-proclaimed “dad bod,” is bringing the body shots, and Gabriela, who braves the elements and topples over in the hot tub, is bringing the fun. Meanwhile, Gary is bringing the romance and a “striptease,” and Daisy is all about a fabulous party -- all while managing the expectations of the guests who board the yacht.

However, the season isn’t going to be without some serious drama as the yacht faces strong winds and a storm that could possibly send it underwater, and Chef Marcos gets a severe head injury that could leave the crew without a head chef.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 premieres Monday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.

All aboard!  Below Deck Sailing Yacht   is about to set sail with a brand new crew of sprightly yacht pros. This season, the hit Bravo reality series will coast through the clear waters of Menorca, Spain, debuting with a supersized premiere episode in just under a month. Beginning in February, you’ll be getting new episodes of  Below Deck Sailing Yacht  weekly.

Captain Glenn Shephard is back aboard Parsifal III in Season 3 of the series. Alongside him is returning chief stew Daisy Kelliher , chief engineer Colin MacRae, and first mate Gary King. We’ll also be introduced to some new faces, so get ready to meet chef Marcos Spaziani, second stew Gabriela Barragan, third stew Ashley Marti, and deckhands Kelsie Goglia and Tom Pearson.

This season, Bravo has teased that Daisy and Gary will leave their arguments behind them as they “bring their relationship into uncharted waters.” Further, as Daisy attempts to keep her stations clean, her team begins to threaten the hierarchy of the boat as resentments grow between the stews. Chef Marcos isn’t used to cooking at sea, and while he attempts to maintain the same standard of excellence he knows on land, everything seems to be falling out of his hands.

“ With a twisted love pentagon, a litany of gruesome injuries and a dangerous, potentially vessel-crippling accident that threatens the safety of everyone on board, this is  Parsifal III ’s most epic charter season yet,” Bravo writes.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is produced by 51 Minds with Mark Cronin, Courtland Cox, Vivian Kohon, Tania Hamidi, Christian Sarabia and Zachary Klein serving as executive producers.

The first two seasons of  Below Deck Sailing Yacht  are now streaming on Peacock. Scroll up to watch the first trailer for  Below Deck Sailing Yacht  Season 3, which will premiere on Bravo on Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. ET.

What is Glenn Shephard's net worth? A look at 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' star's salary and love for travel

Glenn Shephard

Captain Glenn, a native of Montreal, has always been driven by a desire to travel the world. He was offered to serve as a deckhand aboard a 50-foot classic sailboat early in his travels and was immediately enthralled, never looking back. Glenn knows how to keep his calm while catering to the über elite, with over 21 years in the industry and 12 years as the Captain on Parsifal III. Until his limits are strained, this laid-back Captain remains cool. Captain Glenn joked in one recent interview that Parsifal III's first mate Gary King was his "nemesis," who will also be appearing in Season 3. "I can't seem to get rid of him, so I spend pretty much every day and night with Gary." He also hinted that he has found love recently, teasing viewers with the news that "there is a particular woman that I'm kind of chasing."

Marcos Spaziani

Marcos enters the galley with over ten years of industry expertise, eager to wow the charter guests with his exceptional culinary talents. He went to culinary school in Venezuela and has since travelled the world, learning from some of the top chefs in the world.

Daisy Kelliher

Chief stew is back. Daisy Kelliher is regarded as a legend in the sailing world. Her grandpa competed in the 1964 Olympics for Ireland as an Olympic sailor, and her parents — as well as numerous aunts and uncles – were yachtsmen. Daisy has a lot to live up to when she returns to Parsifal III after a successful previous season, and you can always depend on her to tell you what's on her mind and let her hair loose to have a great time.

Colin MacRae

Colin MacRae, a seasoned sailor, spent 13 years as a Chief Engineer aboard superyachts before joining Parsifal III for his second season. Colin is more than willing to provide a helping hand wherever he is needed, and he does so with a huge heart and a mischievous smile.

Gary's 12 years of experience shows in the way he manages his deck personnel, having commanded smaller boats and run the deck on numerous busy superyachts. He commands his department with an iron grip on the one hand, yet he is never the first one to leave a party on the other. He has a naughty charm about him, but his flirting lands him in trouble both on and off the deck.

Gabriela Barragan

Gabriela, a surfer girl from sunny San Diego who's now a jet-setting yachtie, is thrilled to be joining Parsifal III. Gabriela is an experienced crew member who has worked as a stewardess and a deckhand for the previous two years. She is ready to provide five-star service to demanding charter passengers.

Ashley Marti

Ashley Marti, a stewardess from New York, relocated to sunny South Florida to pursue a life on the beach. Ashley chose to pursue a career in sailing during the epidemic and has never looked back. She's travelled the East Coast of the United States and the Bahamas since then, and she's looking forward to further adventures onboard Parsifal III.

Kelsie Goglia

Kelsie got bitten by the travel bug after a sailing vacation in Croatia, and she quit her corporate desk job to work on the deck. Kelsie is a genuine explorer who enjoys spending time outside, especially in the ocean, so it's no surprise that she spends her offseason in San Diego. Kelsie is ecstatic to contribute her tenacity and dedication to Parsifal III.

Tom Pearson

Tom was raised on a lake and enjoys being in the water. Working on the deck was a natural fit for him because he spent his days on the lake in speed boats and participating in water sports. Tom, a self-described social butterfly, enjoys meeting new people onboard, but will his quest for a crew romance get him into trouble?

Season 3 of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' will air on Bravo on Monday, February 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET

Below Deck Sailing Yacht: Meet Captain Glenn Shephard’s Season 3 crew

Below Deck Sailing Yacht: Who is the new Season 3 cast?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 gets underway in less than a month, and it’s time to meet the crew joining Captain Glenn Shephard on the hit sailing show.

The captain has some new and familiar faces joining him on Parsifal III for the upcoming season. Captain Glenn and the infamous sailing yacht have become staples on the Below Deck spin-off.

One way to do that is to bring back a few crewmembers from last season, and that’s exactly what Below Deck Sailing Yacht did. Chief stew Daisy Kelliher, first-mate Gary King, and chief engineer Colin MacRae are all back for another season.

The three returning crew members recently gave Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans a tease of what’s to come on Season 3.

Colin, Daisy, and Gary do not need any introduction, but the new crew members do. So let’s meet them.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 interior crew

Chef Marcos Spaziani steps into the galley with over ten years of experience, honing his culinary skills all over the world. Marcos hails from Venezuela but is opening a restaurant in Los Angeles soon, according to his Bravo bio.

Gabriela Barragan is a stew but has worked as a deckhand too. She’s a California girl who traded in surfing life for yachtie life.

Ashley Marti rounds out Daisy’s interior team. The New York native decided to try her hand at yachting during the pandemic, so she’s relativity new to the industry.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans can expect Daisy to have her hands full with Gabriela and Ashley. It’s not the power stew team of Daisy, Dani Soares, and Alli Dore from Season 2, that’s for sure.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 deck crew

Tom Pearson and Kelsie Goglia join Gary on the deck crew. Yes, the exterior team has a male and female again, a dynamic that worked quite well on Season 2, other than Gary hooking up with his female deck crew member — that’s another story, though.

Kelsie is a true adventurist who quit her desk job for one in yachting after a vacation in Croatia. Her Bravo bio reveals Kelsie loves spending her time outdoors and on the water.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by T O M P E A R S O N (@tompearsonn)

Deckhand Tom grew up on speed boats and water sports thanks to living on a lake. Tom loves the social aspect of yachting, but sometimes it gets him in trouble.

Gary and Tom both set their sights on Ashley, which will no doubt spell trouble. Gary being Gary, though, keeps his make-out options open, so maybe their mutual attraction to Ashley won’t be a big deal.

Yeah, right! It’s Below Deck, and it’s called drama!

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 premieres on Monday, February 21 at 8/7c on Bravo.

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Crew Gets Fancy for the Season 3 Reunion

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Aboard the  Parsifal III , Captain Glenn Shephard ’s crew keeps everything shipshape. Though the yachtie life requires the chef, stewards, and deckhands to confine their individual style to crew uniforms, when they’re off the boat, the  Below Deck Sailing Yacht   cast members have proved their fashion prowess. Whether they’re enjoying a shmancy seaside dinner at one of Greece’s top restaurants or lounging in their swimwear during a beach day,  Parsifal III ’s crew has shown they know how to dress to impress — and when it came time to shoot the Season 3 reunion, they brought out their best looks once again.

Below you’ll find an exclusive first look at what the  Below Deck Sailing Yacht  cast members donned at the hotly anticipated Season 3 reunion. A few spoilers before you dive in: There were sheer crystal mesh tops worn over sexy bustiers, brightly colored minidresses with statement sleeves, some eye-catching pieces of jewelry, and (since this is #lifeatsea) a few decidedly casual T-shirts.

Scroll down to see what everyone wore to the Season 3 reunion, and tune in to watch all the drama go down tonight at 8/7c.

Below Deck's Dylan Pierre De Villiers Considers Committing "Fireable Offense" With Charter Guests

Are below deck season 11’s barbie & kyle’s the real deal (they worked through their issues), below deck season 12 renewed by bravo after 2 returning cast members are spotted filming.

  • Captain Lee Rosbach is the only original and longest-running cast member of Below Deck, still working as a yacht captain despite health issues.
  • Leon Walker, the chef from Below Deck season 3, was fired for mistreatment of crew and causing a fire. He is still working as a chef.
  • Kate Chastain, who left the yachting industry after Below Deck season 7, is now a co-host and producer on Bravo's Chatroom and recently gave birth to a baby boy.

The Below Deck season 3 cast consisted of several people still in the yachting industry and some who have left. Season 3 aired in 2015 and was one of the most infamous seasons from the Bravo series. The season took place on the yacht Eros in The Bahamas and included some iconic Below Deck moments, such as Eddie's boatmance with Rocky and the return of Chef Ben.

Since Below Deck season 3, the series has aired another seven seasons, including just as many hookups and drama among the crew members. While many cast members only lasted a season or two, some remained cornerstones of the show for years. However, the cast and events that took place during season 3 are still talked about. So, where is the cast of Below Deck season 3 now?

Captain Lee Rosbach

Captain Lee remains the only original and longest-running cast member on Below Deck . He works as a yacht captain and was most recently featured in season 10, but he had to leave due to health issues. After a couple of months, he returned to relieve interim Captain Sandy Yawn from her duties.

Leon Walker

Leon Walker was the initial Below Deck season 3 chef onboard Eros, known for his terrible treatment of the chief stew, Kate Chastain. He was later fired for how he treated the crew and for causing a fire in the galley due to his dirty stove. Leon is still working as a chef and was rumored to join the spin-off Below Deck Down Under in Australia, but this never came to fruition.

Ben Robinson

Chef Ben returned to Below Deck season 4 as the yacht chef. He also appeared in Below Deck Mediterranean season 1 alongside Hannah Ferrier. Ben now lives in Fort Lauderdale with his fiancée, Kiara Cabral, and works as a private chef. He remains one of the most popular former cast members on Below Deck and often appears on Galley Talk alongside Kate Chastain.

Kate Chastain

Despite many years as an integral cast member, Kate left the yachting industry behind after a tumultuous Below Deck season 7. She went on to be one of the co-hosts and producers of Bravos Chatroom but left after less than a year. Kate still keeps up with the Below Deck franchise and is very outspoken about her thoughts on the show. She gave birth to a baby boy, Sullivan Cay, in May 2023. Some are convinced the baby's father is Chef Ben, but both have refuted this rumor, and Kate has kept the baby daddy's identity secret.

Amy Johnson

Second stew Amy Johnson left Below Deck after season 3 but continued to work in the yachting industry. However, she officially left yachting after she got engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Ellis, in July 2020. The couple tied the knot in October 2020, and her brother Kelley Johnson helped with the photography.

Raquel “Rocky” Dakota

After Rocky Dakota left Below Deck , she continued to work a few stew jobs here and there. In December 2016, she moved to Hawaii and now works as a surfer and competitive national diver. The former stew is also in a relationship with a man named Mark, and they have been together for over four years. Unfortunately, Rocky did go through some hardships, as she lost her younger sister, Sophia, in 2017 in a car accident.

Eddie Lucas

Eddie Lucas returned to Below Deck season 8 as the bosun following his last stint on the show during season 3. The reality star not only works as a bosun but also works in Maryland at the Moran Towing Corporation, where he docks all the ships that come into the port. He's also involved in Rhythm & Sails as a captain.

Connie Arias

When Connie first joined the show for season 3, she was a green deckhand. She continues to work in the yachting industry and even owns her own boat management company in Melbourne, Florida (via BravoTV ). Connie got engaged after Below Deck and wanted Captain Lee to officiate the wedding, but it's unclear if she and fiancé Scott have tied the knot or broken up.

Emile Kotze

After Emile Kotze's time on Below Deck , he moved back to South Africa. The former yachtie bills himself as an entrepreneur and works with travel agency TRN Global. A devoted yogi, he also revealed in July 2020 that he was four years sober and hasn't touched any alcohol or drugs since.

Captain Jason Chambers has a message for fans amid Below Deck Down Under Season 3 wait

B elow Deck Down Under fan favorite Captain Jason Chambers makes sure fans know he’s ready for the next season of the hit-yachting show.

Captain Jason continues to update Below Deck Down Under as the wait for Sea just gets longer.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, the hunky captain recently asked for fans help getting the show on Bravo airwaves.

We know that Below Deck Med Season 9 will premiere after Below Deck Season 11 wraps.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Below Deck Down Under Season 3, though, have no premiere date in sight.

Both shows have been filmed, so clearly, one will air on Bravo after Below Deck Med Season 9, and Captain Jason wants it to be his show.

Taking to Instagram, Captain Jason got his dance on with his daughter to Baby One More Time (from Kung Fu Panda 4) by Tenacious D. The captain mouthed the words “I still believe” and “Give me a sign.”

Captain Jason showed his knuckles to read “BDUS3” for obviously Below Deck Down Under Season 3 at the end of their singing and dancing.

“Below Deck Down Under Season 3 HIT ME ONE MORE TIME -or 10 more. I think we can all say we can’t wait too long for another season @bravotv. It’s been a huge wait for us between seasons and I can’t thank the huge support hanging in there and waiting, too long between drinks I say,” read part of his lengthy IG caption.

Captain Jason also went on to express what we are all feeling. It’s been way too long since Below Deck Down Under was on air.

“Well I’m proud to announce I HAVE NO IDEA EITHER. Let’s just join together and know that your support has confirmed another season and I’m waiting because I love it…. Your support has given time with my daughter I lost during season 1, so big LOVE ❤️,” ended his message.

What’s with the Below Deck Down Under delay?

The first two seasons of Below Deck Down Under aired slightly over a year apart. While Season 1 played out on Peacock, first and then Bravo, Season 2 played out on Bravo, dropping the next day on Peacock.

It’s very unusual for the powers that be to wait so long to film as well as air a new season. Below Deck runs like a well-oiled machine, but something is definitely up with the schedule.

Not only did Season 3 of Below Deck Down Under not film until earlier this year but Below Deck Season 12 was just spotted filming. In the past, the OG show was filmed from early Feb to mid-March, but the Below Deck Down Under filming delay seems to have pushed it.

Right now, just like Captain Jason, we have no idea why 51 Minds (the production company behind all the Below Deck shows) and Bravo are switching things up with the hit yachting show.

Aesha Scott returning to her Below Deck Med roots also has fans in a frenzy and could be part of why the wait for Season 3 of Below Deck Down Under will be even longer.

Captain Jason Chambers wants Below Deck Down Under back on the air, and so do we.

Let’s be honest. We didn’t need more Below Deck Med, even with Aesha, after Season 8 ended in January. What Below Deck fans needed and wanted as Below Deck Down Under or at least Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Below Deck Down Under is currently on hiatus. Seasons 1-2 are streaming on Peacock.

Below Deck Season 3: Where Are The Cast Members Now?

of Below Deck Season 3: Where Are The Cast Members Now?

Bravo’s ‘Below Deck’ is an American reality show that gives viewers an inside look at the lives of the crew members who work and reside aboard a luxurious yacht during charter season. The third season of the show premiered on August 25, 2015, and was filmed in the Bahamas on a 161-foot superyacht named Eros. The show featured five new crew members and their relationship with each other expectedly took center stage. It has been a long time since fans have seen their favorite TV stars, and if you are curious to know more about them, we have got you covered. Let’s dig into it, shall we?

Lee Rosbach is Now Exploring New Horizons Beyond Yachting

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Captain Lee Rosbach (@captain_lee_rosbach)

Lee was the only original cast member on the show for the season and was working as the yacht captain. He continued to be a beloved participant in the show till season 10, which aired in 2022, but health issues made him take a break in the middle of the season. He was able to come back and conclude the show in his style but it was revealed that he will not be coming back for the next season.

However, fans need not worry about missing their good old captain; in an interview, he exclaimed that he is “nowhere close to retired.” Leaving out specific details about upcoming projects, he did make it clear that there are a couple of projects with Bravo in the works, and he may be joined by cast members that the fans are familiar with. It seems like we will get to see Captain Lee charming his way through the screen very soon.

Leon Walker is Seeking New Challenges in London

below deck sailing yacht crew season 3

Chef Ben was replaced by Chef Leon in the third season, and the time the latter spent on the show was rife with tension and drama. He took a quick dislike to Chief Stew Kate Chastain, ignored a guest’s special request, and ultimately a dirty oven caught fire under his supervision. He was let go from the crew by the Captain and even though there were rumors that he would be coming back to the production in a spin-off, he did not make an appearance. After the show ended, he has kept away from the public eye and is reportedly living in Bromley, London, and is “looking for the new challenge”.

Ben Robinson is Focusing on His Private Chef Career Now

https://www.instagram.com/p/CroUkcyOb3q/

Chef Ben came to the show after Chef Leon’s departure and reappeared on the show till Season 4 and in another spin-off. However, he had made it clear that he would not be returning to the franchise and plans to pursue different paths in life. Ben made an appearance in the chat show ‘Galley Talk’ and on US Food Network’s Beachside Brawl, so there is a chance that we might occasionally see him being a part of the entertainment industry.

The chef is currently living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and keeps updating his Instagram page with delicious-looking food. He works as a private chef with innumerable clients spread across the US and Europe. On the personal front, Ben proposed to Kiara Cabral, his lovely girlfriend of four years, in May 2023. Well, she happily said “yes,” making him feel “like the luckiest man alive!”

Kate Chastain is Focusing on New Ventures and Motherhood

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kate Chastain (@kate_chastain)

Kate Chastain had been an intrinsic member of the show since Season 2 and she continued to be a fan-favorite till Season 7 when she announced her retirement. She said that she was feeling fulfilled in the rule and wanted to scope out new things for herself. She published her book ‘Lucky Charming’ in 2016 and moved to New York. Chastain has accomplished a lot since her retirement, which includes her radio show called ‘Unapologetically Kate Chastain’ and a production company called Remotely Possible Productions.

Chastain runs a non-profit resale clothing store for homeless women and children called Genesis Boutique and participated in ‘The Traitors’. In May 2023, Chastain gave birth to a beautiful baby boy whom she named Sullivan Cay. With the beginning of this new chapter in her life, it seems like Chastain has a lot of flourishing years ahead of her.

Don Abenante is Currently Running Retro Fabworks

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Don Abenante (@donabenante)

Don joined the show in the capacity of a second engineer/deckhand but he was more interested in the engineering side of the work. He had quite a lot of friction with Eddie Lucas and his boss. The day he decided to jump into the water for some fun without taking permission, he was called by Captain Leon to be admonished but Don ended up quitting the show in an instant. He is currently the owner of Retro Fabworks, a metal fabrication company, and runs a YouTube channel called ‘Hobby Shop Garage’, which is a collaborative endeavor of a group of automotive enthusiasts.

Amy Johnson is Thriving in Love and Life in North Carolina Now

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ellis Lenthall (@ellis_bayside)

Amy joined the show in Season 2 but she had her full just after Season 3. She had a very sweet and likeable personality on the show but Kate Chastain did not approve of her a lot. Amy was working as a stewardess and seemed to rub ‘Below Deck’ alum Kate the wrong way many times. She was even joined by her brother, Kelley Johnson, on the show. After quitting the show, she continued to work in the yachting industry but has reportedly left the job after marrying her long-time boyfriend Ellis in October of 2020 and has moved to North Carolina. She has a huge following on her Instagram and seems to be thriving in love and life.

Raquel “Rocky” Dakota is Embracing a Multifaceted Career in Hawaii

View this post on Instagram A post shared by @raqueldakota

Rocky had a tumultuous relationship with Eddie on the show and she got a chance to showcase her culinary skills also after Chef Leon unexpectedly quit. However, the yachting industry did not hold as much interest for her after Season 3 aired. She quit the show and the industry and moved to Hawaii. She is now working as a surfer, competitive national diver as well as a cook, and is living the life of dreams. She has found love in Mark and the couple have been together for more than four years now. She lost her sister to a car accident in 2017 and has been vocal about her grief and her coping mechanisms. It is very refreshing to see her lead an honest, unfiltered, and joyful life and we are sure life has big things in store for her.

Eddie Lucas is Navigating a New Chapter as a Tugboat Captain

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Eddie Lucas (@eddielucas)

Eddie had been a part of the show since the first season and fans saw him growing up, professionally and personally, over the years. He continued to work in ‘Below Deck’ till Season 9 but he has confirmed he will not be returning to the show because of unresolvable differences with the production house. He joined as a deckhand and worked his way to the position of a bosun and consequently, first officer.

After leaving the show, Eddie joined a tugboat as its captain in Baltimore Harbor and described how it is just one of the three tugs he is in charge of. The new role required long hours but he has found some stability and has bought a house with his girlfriend, Natalie Inada, in Hampden. It seems like Eddie has made some big changes in life over time and his future ahead looks as bright and wonderful as it did on his first day on the show.

Connie Arias is Preparing for Nuptials and Business Endeavors

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Connie Arias (@conconmarie)

Connie Arias won over the audience with her funny and quirky presence on the show in season 3 even though she did not return for further seasons. She developed a very good working relationship with Captain Lee while working as a deckhand and got close to almost all other crew members Her agreeable disposition made her a favorite amongst fans and show members alike. After leaving the show, Connie moved to Florida and started her boat company even though it is unclear if she owns the company. She has taken a strong liking to fishing and has also gotten engaged in October 2020 and even though the date of the wedding is not final, we expect to see her getting all the things she wants in life as she deserves all of it.

Emile Kotze is Pursuing an Acting and Travel Agency Career

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Emile Kotze (@emile2real)

Emile Kotze’s dimpled face and chiseled body were a recipe for success right from the moment he appeared on the show as a deckhand. A family boy from South Africa, Emile came to the yachting industry with nothing but dreams which he proceeded to fulfill. He did not return to the show for more seasons but he has been very accessible to the public through his social media accounts. He found a new passion as a travel agent at TRN Global and is also pursuing acting as a career option. It seems like promising things lay in this promising young man’s future and he will continue to soar.

Dane Jackson is Advancing in Whitewater Kayaking and Personal Life

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Dane Jackson (@danejacksonkayak)

After the untimely departure of Don Abenendo from the show, Captain Lee brought on Dane as a permanent replacement but things did not go as expected. He was asked to leave after just featuring in four episodes of the season. Explaining the situation, Captain said, “Dane had some serious social issues, his drinking and complete unwillingness to get along with the rest of the crew, and his total entitlement attitude and insubordination was more than enough to dismiss for cause.”

Dane is a professional whitewater kayaker. In 2017, he appeared on the extreme sports show called ‘Ultimate Rush’. Presently, he is pursuing his passion for kayaking and got engaged to Chloe Beeler in April 2023. He has a large social media following and is set to excel in all the endeavors he undertakes.

David Bradberry is Crafting a Career in Acting and Writing Now

below deck sailing yacht crew season 3

David Bradberry joined the show as a deckhand and made an appearance on the show for only one season. He had a cool and composed outlook on the show and did not get into a lot of controversies or trouble. After leaving the show, he decided to be a full-time actor and writer and is living in Washington, DC. He seems to be in a very successful relationship and does not display much of his personal life in the public eye.

This Key Thing Separates ‘Below Deck’s Best Spin-Off From the Franchise

Not everyone has what it takes to be a yachtie.

The Big Picture

  • Below Deck Sailing Yacht offers a unique twist with literal sails, setting it apart from other franchise spin-offs.
  • Captain Glenn's leadership on Parsifal III brings stability and success to the crew, creating must-watch television.
  • Maintaining the same core crew from start to finish allows for deeper storytelling and dramatic moments to unfold.

Since its debut in 2013, Below Deck has introduced audiences to the world of yachting through the eyes of the people who run it. With four spin-offs to its name, viewers have been taken all over the world while watching the drama that goes on. From hook-ups to firings with emotional breakdowns in between, each franchise has had the same formula, but with a different set of yachties to make them unique . One of the best and most under-appreciated of the spin-offs is Below Deck Sailing Yacht . After a first season with some growing pains, Below Deck Sailing Yacht has raised the sails and has sailed into glory.

Sailing the stunning seas of the Mediterranean, Below Deck Sailing Yacht is special in the Below Deck family. Following the trials and tribulations of a singular ship, the Parsifal III, Below Deck Sailing Yacht takes all the great things from the flagship franchise and adds the unique addition of literal sails . Below Deck Sailing Yacht has shown the dangers of working on a vessel of this type. Unlike the other series, sailing Parsifall III has a much higher level of risk. No other franchise has an additional mechanic for fans to witness! Following a malfunction, Parsifal III not only crashed into the dock once, but twice ! Thankfully, Parsifall III only suffered from some cosmetic injuries , but the pure terror it caused raised heart rates to the max for the crew and fans alike.

But Parsifall III is old faithful. Whether experiencing turbulence from the seas or the charter guests, Below Deck Sailing Yacht has an extra bit of comfort thanks to its extraordinary crew. With the brilliant Captain Glenn Shephard at the helm, Below Deck Sailing Yacht has four seasons under its belt with a stable cast that has remained must-watch television.

Follows the crew of a multi million dollar charter boat in the Caribbean.

'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Is a Tale of Two Crews

The show that premiered on Bravo on February 3, 2020, is not the show that followed during Seasons 2, 3, and 4. With the sole exception of Below Deck Adventure , every Below Deck spin-off debuted with a familiar face from another franchise . For Season 1, Below Deck Sailing Yacht was joined by Below Deck Mediterranean alum Chef Adam Glick . Following his two-season tenure under the overly micromanaging, watchful eye of Captain Sandy Yawn , Chef Adam returned to the Med to join Captain Glenn's crew. For those familiar with his work on the franchise, Chef Adam did have some run-ins with certain members of the team, predominantly Chief Stewardess Hannah Ferrier . When he came to Parsifal III, his opinions on Chief Stews drastically changed as he became entangled in a rocky relationship with Chief Stew Jenna MacGillivray . Jenna was a fine Chief Stew but quickly became unbearable once she fell in love. It's one thing to be messy on Below Deck , but Jenna took it to a whole new level.

For Season 1, it was quite clear that the man in charge of the ship knew all the ins and outs. Captain Glenn Shephard has had a storied career with Parsifal III; with over a decade of service on the ship and two decades behind the wheel in general, Captain Glenn is one of the kindest captains in the franchise , leading his teams to great success . Unlike any of the other captains in the franchise, he has to bunk with the rest of the crew. As the sole cast member to remain on Parsifall III since Season 1, he doesn't steal focus in hopes of being the star like a certain other captain in the Med does. Season 1 had some growing pains. And thus, when Parsifal III returned for Season 2, Captain Glenn cleaned ship and brought in an entirely new crew. And as they say, the rest is history.

'Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Primary Trio Is the Backbone of the Show

Since Season 2, the franchise has been led by the trio of Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher , First Officer Gary King , and Chief Engineer Colin MacRae . The trio has had a roller-coaster of a journey together, from friendships to a devastating love triangle, but their relationship has kept the spin-off special. Captain Glenn maintaining his main three has aided greatly to the longevity of the show and its storytelling. Below Deck Sailing Yacht is the only series in the franchise to maintain the heads of department season after season, even with Gary's controversy that was revealed last summer in Rolling Stone .

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is the only franchise to highlight the position of Chief Engineer. Because of the importance of this position on this type of vessel, Colin MacRae became an instant standout. Anything mechanical that goes on in the boat is under the watchful eye of Colin. That includes plumbing, so when the crew toilets get clogged, Colin is there to do the dirty work. The only person Colin can be compared to is his predecessor from Season 1, Byron Hissey . Colin is a workhorse, but he is a level-headed person who's down for fun, as long as his morals aren't interrupted. As one of the hardest working individuals on Parsifal III, Colin goes above and beyond. He even saved the charter season during Season 4 when the engine didn't work by fixing it on the fly.

When it comes to Chief Stews, Daisy Kelliher had a standard to uphold. With Kate and Hannah as the gold standard in the Below Deck Cinematic Universe , she was a breath of fresh air following the departure of Jenna. Daisy has always provided professionalism towards the charter guests , even if the guests tested her every last nerve. She has a fun side during the crew nights out, but when it comes to work, she's all business — and she treats her team with an immense amount of respect. Throughout her tenure on Parsifall III, she has only lost a single stewardess, which was at Gabriela Barragán 's own volition. Daisy has had a solid relationship with each of her chefs, only getting stronger as the seasons went on.

'Below Deck's Chef Anthony Is Season 11's Biggest Success

And then there's Gary King. Serving as the First Officer, he was the head of exterior with a strong work ethic and leadership. Similar to Colin, the First Officer is a rarely seen position in any of the franchises. Gary would be above in rank to the bosuns of the other shows. Only Eddie Lucas from Below Deck and Bryan Kattenburg from Season 1 of Below Deck Med have been promoted to this position. While it is a familiar position on a yacht, showcasing Gary in this slot displays the importance of the role on this specific vessel — the First Officer is literally second in command behind Captain Glenn, and some fans may be scratching their heads as to why this guy has this much control.

Gary yields a bit more power compared to the bosuns , and thus, it's displayed a tale of two Garys. "Work Gary" displays the difficulty of working on a sailing yacht. He is devoted to his work and does not take any nonsense as a manager. "Play Gary's" only goal was to be the lady's man on board and get drunk to the point he couldn't take accountability for his actions. For fans of the Below Deck shows, this is nothing out of the ordinary. While some fans don't quite understand the appeal of him, the ladies on board can never get enough of Gary King.

Parcifal III Maintaining the Same Crew From Start to Finish Allows More Stories To Be Told

Each season, the colorful crew of supplementary yachties helps to bring the drama , especially when Gary engages in love triangles with the stewardesses during Seasons 2 and 3. To be fair, even when he was pursuing Daisy in Season 4 because he couldn't have her, he still found love with the interior. By far, the biggest non-Gary scandal to rock the boat was the aftermath of the romance between Season 2's 2nd Stew Dani Soares and Deckhand Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux . Despite a minor age gap, the duo were romantically intertwined. It was a really cute boatmance, but when it was revealed that Dani was pregnant and Jean-Luc was the father , all hell broke loose, which made for an unforgettable reunion.

Speaking of drama, a love triangle brewed between Daisy, Gary, and Colin that seeped off the show. During the first two seasons together, their relationship was quite platonic. Gary and Daisy did flirt when the liquor was flowing, but what Below Deck Sailing Yacht tracked was the evolution of three individuals. No other Below Deck series has taken as much time to watch a genuine friendship blossom since Chef Ben Robinson and Kate Chastain . The trio all entered the program at the same time, but once they were all single and ready to mingle, everything changed. Daisy, who had maintained a strong bond with both men, began to catch feelings for a now single Colin all while Gary was pursuing Junior Stew Mads Herrera .

Of course, Gary always desires to be the center of attention, so he got wrapped up in the middle and helped to jeopardize all of their friendships. Daisy wasn't quite in the clear as it was leaked that she and Gary hooked up off-season. The drama overflowed into the reunion and even caused tension at BravoCon 2023, where Gary was uninvited to due to his alleged sexual misconduct. Where the trio stands is a bit up in the air; fans have rooted for them to work on their relationship, so they can come back stronger for a fifth season. No other Below Deck spin-off has maintained a core cast, which is better because fans can follow along the journey and growth. There is an inherent investment in a singular group of friends that no other Below Deck series displays.

Aside from a great crew, memorable moments, and nonstop drama, Below Deck Sailing Yacht is unique in the fact that, aside from the motor yacht experience, viewers and guests alike get to literally set sail. While sailing can be quite difficult to stomach, the beauty of seeing the sails up in their glory makes these charters a dream to watch. Below Deck Sailing Yacht is truly a beautiful and unique show. With all its success thus far, Season 5 will surely continue to prove that Below Deck Sailing Yacht is the best spin-off in the Below Deck universe.

All seasons of Below Deck Sailing Yacht are available to stream on Peacock in the U.S.

Why Jill Zarin Is Defending Her Controversial Below Deck Appearance

After jill zarin made waves on below deck season 11 with her over-the-top demands, the real housewives of new york city alum is speaking out in response to fan backlash..

Jill Zarin has no regrets about rocking the boat on Below Deck .

In fact, after The Real Housewives of New York City alum made waves with some over-the-top demands during an appearance on season 11 of the Bravo series, Jill called her time aboard the St. David  "amazing," despite receiving some criticism from viewers.

"Honestly, my fans, they know me and it's all good," the 60-year-old exclusively told E! News. "What was great is that the crew on the show actually came out in my defense and said Jill was amazing and she wasn't demanding and it was a lot of tricky editing. Everything I said was true."

During her voyage, Jill put the Below Deck yachties to the test by requesting special ice for her soda, criticizing how the bathrooms were stocked, sending back cold food and suggesting the crew install a button at the dining table for the guests to beckon them with any requests they might have.

After the episode aired, Stew Barbie Pascal defended Jill's behavior despite previously calling the Housewife "extremely demanding" during a confessional.

"I watched the show back, and I don't think that Jill was as bad as it looked," Barbie said in an April 2 Instagram Story video. "And I just wanna also say that there were so many other moments where she was super fun and sweet and nice."

Meanwhile, Jill is about to set sail on another new reality TV venture: She'll be competing against other celebrities in the hopes of winning $200,000 on Amazon Freevee's new competition series The GOAT .

"I don't think I was smart enough to understand the game at all," Jill admitted to E! on her time on the show. "I took a while. I think I got halfway through when I realized I needed a strategy, which I did figure out. But I was just having so much fun being in this house with these people, making new friends. I didn't even think of it as a competition."

Don't miss Jill on The GOAT , which premieres May 9 on Amazon Freevee. And keep reading to see where she lands on E!'s official ranking of every Real Housewife ever.

152-155. The Real Housewives of D.C.

Bravo's ill-fated attempt at highlighting our nation's capital brought together four women so forgettable you'd be forgiven for erasing them from your memory—though their names are  Mary Amons , Lynda Erkiletian , Cat Ommanney  and Stacie Scott Turner— and one so desperate for fame that she gate-crashed a party at the White House. More on her later.

151. Kimberly Bryant, The Real Housewives of Orange County

150. Tammy Knickerbocker, The Real Housewives of Orange County

Vaguely familiar, but...

149. DeShawn Snow, The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes . Surprising, we know.

148. Elizabeth Lyn Vargas, The Real Housewives of Orange County

This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.

147. Jennie Nguyen, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

Utah's newest season two Housewife  went out with a bang (and not in a good way). In January 2022, Jennie was fired after "offensive" and racially insensitive old Facebook posts resurfaced online. Jennie later apologized  but the damage was done.

146. Quinn Fry, The Real Housewives of Orange County

Her defining trait was "cougar."

145. Jen Armstrong, The Real Housewives of Orange County

The Orange County doctor was never a source of drama during season 16 and her brief marriage troubles with eternally shirtless husband Ryne (or Ryan?) were less than riveting. However, we will never forget Dr. Jen getting absolutely wasted on wine during the Dubrows' insanely awkward—yet wildly entertaining—dinner party.

144: Annemarie Wiley, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

The nurse anesthetist's flop first season can be summed up in one cringe-worthy word we hope we never hear again: Esophagus-gate .

143. Katie Rost, The Real Housewives of Potomac

Katie loved to talk about her charity work, but...didn't do much else on screen. She was one and done, only to come back and not contribute much as a friend. Leaving the cast trip early? A Housewives no-no.

142. Charrisse Jackson Jordan, The Real Housewives of Potomac

Her marriage problems were on full display the two seasons she was a full-time Housewife...that and her champagne room are the two memorable things about Charrisse.

141. Shamari DeVoe, The Real Housewives of Atlanta

A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?

140. Peggy Sulahian, The Real Housewives of Orange County

While it was nice to see some diversity in the lily-white O.C., Peggy ultimately proved to be a frustrating presence in season 12. The fights she chose to pick were bizarre, and often involving someone using a word she simply didn't understand, and her decision to simply hide out in her room for an entire day during the trip to Iceland proved that she wasn't really cut out for this Real Housewives life.

139. Nneka Ihim, The Real Housewives of Potomac

Instead of bonding with fellow Nigerian costar Wendy Osefo during season eight, Nneka's first season storyline centered entirely around her allegedly accusing Wendy's mom of being a witch (yes, seriously). We wish we could have seen the two bond over their shared culture rather than fighting with no resolve.

138. Noella Bergener, The Real Housewives of Orange County

Noella spun through season 16 like a tornado of frantic energy. While her personal struggles were somewhat compelling (her husband James up and left the country and asked for a divorce right before filming started), it was her constant drama with queen bee Heather Dubrow that helped her not land completely at the bottom of the list. Maybe with more time and another season, we'll warm up to Mrs. Bergener.

137. Siggy Flicker, The Real Housewives of New Jersey

From peacekeeper in her first season to unrelenting complaints about a thrown cake and unfounded claims of anti-Semitism in her second (and last) season, we're not sure we've ever seen a quicker Real Housewives fall from grace than this one.

136. Eva Marcille, RHOA

The America's Next Top Model veteran picked up a peach for seasons 11 and 12, but never really made an impression in the world of RHOA,  aside from being pregnant for what felt like her entire tenure. Points for that epic read of Marlo Hampton while in Tokyo, though.

135. Karent Sierra, The Real Housewives of Miami

All we remember about Karent is that she was a dentist and none of her co-stars seemed to like her at all. Next!

134. Cristy Rice, The Real Housewives of Miami

This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.

133. Jules Wainstein, The Real Housewives of New York City

As one of  RHONY 's more recent one-and-dones, Jules' tenure was too brief to rank any higher. However, she sure did deliver her fair share of drama.

131-132. Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano, RHONJ

So unnecessary they couldn't even get individual taglines.

130. Amber Marchese, RHONJ

Everything Amber and her husband Jim did seemed to reek of desperation. Plus, he was involved in more of the drama than she was. Not a good look.

129. Nina Ali, The Real Housewives of Dubai

Much like co-star Sara Al Madani, Nina exemplified a multidimensional, successful Arab woman who is blending modern life with centuries-old cultural traditions. She avoided most of the season one drama and was sometimes overshadowed by her co-stars' bigger, louder personalities.

128. Sara Al Madani, The Real Housewives of Dubai

Sara's positive, enlightened outlook on life was certainly pleasant, but didn't provide for much drama (besides that one time she offered co-star Caroline Brooks some not-so-well received parenting advice ). However, the tech entrepreneur shattered stereotypes of what it means to be a modern Muslim woman in the Middle East and for that we applaud her.

126-127. Rachel Fuda & Danielle Cabral, The Real Housewives of New Jersey

RHONJ 's season 13 newbies certainly fit the mold of your typical Garden State Housewife and quickly found themselves in a season-long fight over literally nothing that Andy Cohen deemed pointless at the reunion. We'd love to see both return for season 14 for a chance to move up even higher on the list after an entertaining first go-around.

125. Larsa Pippen, The Real Housewives of Miami

Larsa didn't make a big impression on season one before leaving the series. When Peacock revived RHOM for season four in 2021, her whole storyline was about being the ex-BFF of Kim Kardashian . (and selling sexy feet pics on OnlyFans...)

124. Ana Quincoces, The Real Housewives of Miami

Ana followed up her one season as a Bravolebrity by competing on season 12 of Next Food Network Star in 2016. She didn't make it there, either.

123. Joyce Giraud de Ohoven, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Unfortunately, she was nothing more than a punching bag for Brandi Glanville . Plus, her tagline celebrating the icky notion that you can never be too skinny was gross.

122. Cindy Barshop, The Real Housewives of New York City

Cindy was supposed to be the new Bethenny Frankel . Cindy was no Bethenny Frankel.

121. Caroline Brooks, The Real Housewives of Dubai

Brooks' gift to season one of RHODubai was a cameo from Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks, who popped up on one episode to get all the tea on the co-stars' drama. However, Brooks did cause a lot of unnecessary drama during season one (much of which occurred while she was a little too tipsy).

Rape, terror and death at sea: How a boat carrying Rohingya children, women and men capsized

The boat glided across waters that were dark and still, under a night sky that was cloudless and calm. But on board, the 12-year-old girl quaked with fear.

The captain and crew who she says had tortured her and three other women and girls were not finished. And the punishment for disobedience, the men warned, would be death.

It was the third night that the girl and around 140 other ethnic Rohingya refugees had been trapped on the wooden fishing boat, floating off the coast of Indonesia. These children, women and men had fled Bangladesh and their homeland of Myanmar in a bid to escape violence and terror, only to face the same horrors with a crew that seemed to delight in their dread.

Huddled among the other women and girls, the 12-year-old — identified in this story only by the initial N, because she is a sexual assault survivor — tried to hide her face. She had already survived a night in the captain’s bedroom, where she says he and several crew members had beaten and sexually abused her.

Like most of the passengers, she had survived attacks by Myanmar’s military that forced her and her family to flee to neighboring Bangladesh. There, she had survived nearly seven years in violence-plagued refugee camps. And she had thus far survived this journey without her family, who hoped she’d make it to Malaysia, where she was promised as a child bride to a man she had never met.

Her young life had been one long battle to survive. And so, it seemed, this night would be no different.

The captain was in a rage. He ordered more girls to join him and his crew in the bedroom.

No one budged.

“If you don’t come to us,” the captain shouted, “then we will capsize this boat!”

What happened next would force N and the other Rohingya on board into yet another battle for survival.

For many, this would be the battle they finally lost.

In March, Indonesian officials and local fishermen rescued 75 people from atop the overturned hull of a boat off the coast of Indonesia’s northern province of Aceh. Another 67 passengers, including at least 28 children, had been killed when the boat capsized, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Until now, little was known about how the boat capsized, or why. This account, as told to The Associated Press in separate interviews with eight surviving passengers, provides the first insight into what happened on board and why so many died. The men, women and children interviewed include witnesses of the events leading to the capsize and of the sexual abuse, as well as the only surviving sexual assault victim, N.

The disaster is the latest in a string of tragedies to befall the Rohingya, a stateless Muslim minority that suffered mass slaughter at the hands of Myanmar’s military in 2017 in what the United States has dubbed a genocide . Over the past two years, the Rohingya have increasingly fled Bangladesh’s refugee camps, where gang violence and hunger has surged, and Myanmar, where a bloody conflict between the ruling military junta and ethnic rebel groups has escalated. Muslim-majority Malaysia, which the Rohingya view as relatively safe, is the preferred destination.

The results of this mass exodus have been catastrophic . Last year, 4,500 Rohingya — two-thirds of them women and children — fled Myanmar and Bangladesh by boat, the UNHCR reported. Of those, 569 died or went missing while crossing the Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea, the highest annual death toll since 2014.

International indifference toward the Rohingya has, in many ways, worsened the crisis. In several cases, coastal countries in Asia have ignored pleas to rescue imperiled Rohingya boats , despite international laws mandating the rescue of boats in distress. Global donations for the nearly 1 million Rohingya languishing in overcrowded camps have plummeted, leading to slashed food rations . And no country is offering large-scale resettlement.

Most Rohingya understand the risks of taking to the sea. But those who board the vessels say the world has left them with little choice.

And so it was that N arrived one night in March at a remote beach in southern Bangladesh, where she climbed into a small fishing boat that would take her away from everything she knew, including her family.

Like an increasing number of underage Rohingya girls , she had been promised as a wife to a man in Malaysia she’d spoken to only by phone. These marriages are rooted in desperation: Many parents in the camps can no longer feed their children or afford the traditional dowry demanded by grooms. The men in Malaysia forfeit dowries and often send money to the brides’ parents.

The fishing boat ferried N and her fellow passengers to a larger boat, which took them deeper into the Bay of Bengal. One day later, they were moved again to an even bigger boat, with a crew from Myanmar.

For around a week, they slid seamlessly through the sea. The crew was kind, providing enough food and water. The children had space to play. The waves were placid. For Rahena Begum, traveling with her 9-year-old daughter and 12- and 13-year-old sons, it almost felt too easy.

Until suddenly, it wasn’t.

The captain told those on board the plan had changed. They would need to transfer everyone to an Indonesian fishing boat, with a crew who would take them the rest of the way to Indonesia. From there, the passengers would be smuggled into neighboring Malaysia. Though the captain gave no reason for the switch, the recent surge in Rohingya arrivals has put Indonesian authorities on alert for boats from Bangladesh and Myanmar.

The sight of the rickety Indonesian vessel sent a chill through the passengers. Muhammed Amin, who had fished the waters off Bangladesh for years and spent countless hours on boats, estimated the Indonesian vessel was built to accommodate, at most, 60 people — not 140.

But the Myanmar captain and crew, he says, reassured him the boat was safe and that it would reach Indonesia in one day.

Reluctantly, Amin, N, Rahena and the others climbed into the Indonesian vessel. The Myanmar boat soon disappeared into the distance.

Almost immediately, the Indonesian captain and crew separated the men from the women.

The men were forced into the boat’s cramped, stifling cargo holds, one of which was beneath the captain’s bedroom. Anyone who protested was beaten, Amin says.

The captain and crew turned to the women and girls, but they did not speak Indonesian and could not understand their demands.

A few Rohingya men who spoke the language were allowed out of the hold to translate. When the women understood what the captain wanted, they began to cry.

The men told the crew to leave the women alone. The crew beat them, and then beat the women.

Seventeen-year-old Samira, whose husband was stuck in the hold, became an early target. The captain and crew repeatedly ordered her into the bedroom. A relative of Samira’s, Fatima Khatun, told the tearful teen to say she was sick, and used hand signals to explain to the captain that Samira was married. The crew moved on.

N, however, had no one to protect her. And she quickly caught the captain’s attention.

She was a child stuck in the middle of the ocean, facing a group of men who warned they were armed, though no one ever saw a gun.

She had no choice.

And so, N and four other women and girls entered the bedroom.

It wasn’t long before the stillness of the night was shattered by their screams.

Through her terror, N struggled to make sense of what was happening, then struggled to make it stop. But inside the room, there was no pity, only pain.

One of the women managed to slip out, but N and the others were trapped. Two of the girls were teenagers, and the third around 20, N estimated. All were in tears.

The abuse by the captain and five of his six crew members lasted all night, N says. Attempts to fight back were met with beatings.

From the cargo hold below the bedroom, the men could hear the cries. Those who dared to climb onto the deck could see the abuse unfolding through the room’s windows. But believing the crew was armed, they say, they were powerless to stop them.

When morning finally dawned, N spotted a man she knew and signaled to him for help. He approached the room and was beaten by the crew but persuaded the captain to let N out to use the toilet. She hid among the other women and hoped the captain was finished with her.

He was, at least for the moment. But he and the crew were not done with the other three girls, whose assaults continued for a second night.

In the sweltering hold, 19-year-old Jannat Ullah’s yearning for fresh air grew so intense he risked climbing on deck. When he emerged, he says, he looked through the bedroom window and saw the captain raping one of the teens. A crew member spotted Jannat and slapped his head until he retreated. But later, Jannat says, he watched through a gap in the wall as another crew member raped the same girl.

The sun was rising again, along with the passengers’ desperation. The crew had given them no water and only tiny portions of rice, noodles and eggs. They wondered how much longer they could last.

Fatima Khatun, sitting next to the captain’s room with her 8-year-old daughter, Ruma, had witnessed the abuse of the girls inside and could bear no more. She signaled through the window to the girls to come out.

At last, that night, they did, emerging sobbing and speechless. Fatima and Samira told them to cover themselves with hijabs and tried to hide them.

It was then that the captain and crew began demanding fresh victims.

The women and girls refused. The crew kicked and punched them. The women wept but stood their ground.

The captain and crew had been drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana, the passengers told the AP. The captain was growing angrier.

“If you don’t come into the room, I will capsize this boat!” he thundered, again and again.

Samira told herself he must be joking.

It was around 9 p.m. and many of the children had fallen asleep, oblivious to the chaos. As Fatima fretted over the captain’s threats, daughter Ruma slumbered against her arm.

Fed up with the hold, Amin and Jannat had come up on deck. The captain, Amin says, looked drunk, his body wobbly. The captain went to the toilet and then headed to the helm.

Which is when, Jannat says, he saw the captain push the steering wheel with his leg.

The vessel tilted violently, sending passengers tumbling. And then it smashed into a wave.

In the blackness of the water, people screamed for salvation, for God, for their children.

“RUMA!” Fatima cried, searching wildly for her daughter, who had been ripped away when the boat overturned. “RUMA!”

Fatima fought to stay afloat, but the water was swallowing her as fast as she was swallowing the water.

Suddenly, hands closed around her arm and yanked upwards. Passengers who had climbed on top of the overturned hull were pulling her to safety.

She screamed and screamed for her little girl. But Ruma was gone.

Jannat could hear his 7-year-old cousin, Futika, shouting from somewhere inside the boat. Frantic, the teen swam back into the vessel and spotted Futika wedged with others inside the cargo hold. Jannat tried to yank him free, again and again. But it was futile. Jannat swam out, clambered onto the hull and wept.

Those who were drowning desperately clutched at others struggling in a sea that was fast becoming a graveyard. Among the dying were mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, a 3-year-old boy and his parents.

Scores of passengers found themselves trapped under heavy fishing nets that ensnared them when the boat overturned. Women wailed for help that did not come.

N battled her way through the throngs until she made it onto the hull. Once again, she had managed to survive.

But the three girls who were abused alongside her in the captain’s bedroom had not, their battered bodies disappearing into the depths.

In the water, Rahena Begum spotted her 9-year-old daughter, Rema, but her two sons were nowhere to be seen. Other passengers pushed Rahena and Rema onto the hull, then began to pump the unresponsive child’s chest and water-swollen stomach. Suddenly, Rema’s hand moved, and she sputtered a few words.

Rahena pulled her daughter into her lap and cuddled her. Her baby was alive, at least for now. So was her 13-year-old son, who’d also made it onto the hull. But her 12-year-old boy, Noor Aziz, was missing. She would never see him again.

Amin knew they had to keep the vessel stable if they had any hope of surviving. He ordered the men to stand on the corners of the hull, to try to balance the weight.

The crew, meanwhile, wanted to be anywhere but the boat. Amin spotted the captain and three crew members swimming away, using water jugs as flotation devices. The remaining three crew tried to follow them, but Amin and the other men held them back, forcing them to stay on the hull. Amin feared that if rescuers found them on the boat without a crew, the passengers would be blamed for the disaster.

Hours passed, and those on the hull waited for a miracle. In the morning, it seemed to arrive, in the form of another fishing boat. Scores of passengers leaped into the water and swam toward it. But the fishing boat was tiny and could not hold them all. The crew allowed six people on board, then headed for shore.

The waves had worsened, and passengers’ frantic attempts to flee the overturned boat had left the vessel unstable. It capsized again.

Rahena found herself back in the water, fighting once more to save her daughter. She spotted Rema slipping below the surface and grabbed her, before other passengers pushed the pair back onto the hull.

But Rema had grown delirious. She tried to bite people and could not speak. Rahena knew her daughter was in urgent need of help.

Others never made it back on board. Samira’s husband, Akram Ullah, estimates at least 20 drowned when the boat overturned the second time.

The subsequent capsize had knocked loose the remains of passengers who had drowned inside the vessel the night before. Jannat spotted the lifeless body of his little cousin, Futika, bobbing in the waves.

More fishing boats arrived, and passengers called out for help. But those on board the vessels simply shot photos and videos of them, then left.

A few passengers tried to swim to shore, promising to send help if they made it. They were never seen again. And help still did not come.

But, at least, the rain did.

The passengers, weak with thirst, collected what they could in a tarp and shared sips of it, thanking Allah for sparing their lives.

Yet as another night passed, it was clear not everyone would be spared. Rahena’s daughter, cradled in her lap, had gone still. Rahena hugged her little girl and tried to talk to her. But the life had drained from her daughter.

The passengers prayed for the child, then slid her body into the sea.

Around 30 minutes later, Rahena says, the rescue ship finally arrived.

In the days following the disaster, the bodies of 12 women and three children were recovered from the waters off Aceh, according to the UNHCR. The search for more has been called off.

Although the fishing boat’s crew rescued the initial six people from the hull the morning of March 20, search and rescue vessels were not launched until later that evening. Officials finally spotted the boat around 9 a.m. March 21, about 22 kilometers (14 miles) offshore, and finished evacuating all the passengers from the hull around midday.

Ibnu Harris Al Hussain, chief of Banda Aceh’s search and rescue agency, said the rescue operation began shortly after his agency learned about the capsized boat. He also said officials needed time to coordinate a plan to care for survivors once they reached land, while crews at sea initially kept their distance out of fear the passengers would hurt themselves trying to swim to the rescue boat.

“The most important thing is that we have ensured their safety when they were found,” Hussain wrote to the AP.

On April 2, police announced they had arrested three members of the crew, plus a fourth man who was not on board the boat. They were charged with people smuggling, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. Police are still searching for the remaining crew, including the captain, whose mobile phone activity places him in Malaysia, West Aceh Police Chief Andi Kirana told the AP.

Police are not considering murder charges, Kirana says, because they believe the capsize was an accident — the result of an overcrowded boat simply taking on too much water.

But N and the other passengers believe the disaster was a deliberate act of revenge by a sadistic captain and crew who thought they could escape. And for that — and for all the suffering endured — the punishment, N says, should fit the crime.

“They tortured us. They treated us like animals,” she says. “We want the government to treat them like animals.”

Kirana also said police are not considering rape charges, because they haven’t received any reports of sexual assault. But N says police have never questioned her about what happened on board.

For now, she and the other passengers remain in limbo, sleeping under tents behind a government office building. They have been shifted between shelters amid protests by locals who want them to go away. But there is nowhere for them to go.

Though they have survived so much, some wonder what it was all for.

Rahena questions why she was spared, when two of her children were not. Her husband, already in Malaysia, blames her for attempting the journey and for the death of their daughter and son.

“I lost my hope when I lost my children,” Rahena says. “I feel like I have nothing.”

N, alone and aching for her mother, hopes to somehow make it to Malaysia and to the man who wants her as his wife.

Maybe then, she says, she will finally be free — though in reality, Rohingya child brides in Malaysia often become prisoners to abusive husbands.

For now, all she can do is fight to survive another day and pray for a future free of pain.

“I don’t want to suffer anymore,” she says.

Gelineau reported from Sydney.
