Depart from the V&A Waterfront for a 3 hour Cruise to Clifton 4th Beach on a private chartered Catamaran.

Swimming, dancing, soaking up the sun, taking long sips of cool cocktails, and a delicious barbecue will be on the cards for the afternoon while listening to cool and uplifting beats from our favourite DJ .

Guests can look forward to partying the afternoon away in style on a luxurious privately chartered Catamaran from the Waterfront to Clifton for a duration of 3 hours.

As the guests board the luxury catamaran, they will be offered a refreshing beverage to enjoy as you cruise along the scenic Atlantic coastline.  When you dock on Clifton 4th Beach, guests will be treated to a delicious barbecue or canape lunch on board the catamaran.

Party above the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic on a luxurious yacht cruise to Clifton Beach for a concert at sea at the Mirage Forever Summer Concert featuring Matthew Mole on Sunday 8 March.

Guests get a sailing experience with live music, DJs, dancing, swimming, SUPs, plus food and drinks. 

BUBBLES AND SNACKS Upon arrival, every guest receives a welcome glass of Graham Beck bubbly. There will be a cash bar for any other drinks and light snacks (such as nuts, biltong, droëwors and chips) will be available. You can order a burger off the grill once the yacht reaches Clifton. DOWN THE SLIDE, UNDER THE SEA AND IN THE POOL Other than the music, food and drinks, the yacht offers plenty of shade on the upper helm of the flybridge. There's an  8m slide attached to the side of the yacht off the flybridge so you can reach the ocean in a fun and easy way. You can swim round to the floating pool attached to the back of the yacht. You could also try your hand at stand up paddling.

Tigresse Sailing Catamaran

The majestic 62ft Tigresse Sailing Catamaran can accommodate up to 60 passengers. Ideally suited to romantic sunset cruises accompanied by local sparkling wines taking in views of our beautiful coastline . She is also a popular choice for private events , whether they be corporate functions or Clifton yacht parties .

Tigresse Sailing Catamaran Specifications

A competent and qualified crew consists of a skipper , two deck hands and when required, a hostess or barman handles the drinks and catering for guests . Safety equipment includes a life raft , life jackets and 2-way radios. The Waterfront and the maritime authorities' safety standards commonly known as the compulsory SAMSA regulations are strictly adhered to.

Tigresse was designed by A. Simonas as a charter yacht for a maximum of 60 passengers. Built in Cape Town in 1997, construction material consists of polyester resin fiberglass with a balsa wood core and laminated marine plywood bulkheads. Her grt is 27.5T and net is 19.87T with an overall length of 17.65m. The beam is 9.2m with a depth of keel of 1.5m. Tigresse is powered by 2*50 hp/mo Volvo Penta motors with a 2:1 ratio mechanical gearbox and straight pr. shafts.

Maximum motoring speed at 2000rpm is about 9.5. The mast and boom on the Tigresse are made of Epo-Coated aluminum and the mast is 25m high from the line. The total sail area is 296 sq meters with the mainsail at 106 sq meters. The jib is 65 sq meter. The maximum speed achieved under sail by the Tigresse to date is 22knots.

The Champagne Cruise is Waterfront Charters  second last Cruise of the day  and returns to Harbour prior to the Sunset Champagne Cruise.

These pre-sunset Champagne Cruises are extremely popular as pre- dinner  cruises. They are ideal for families who find the regular Sunset Champagne Cruise too late. Due to the fact that the Sunset Champagne Cruise departure times vary according to the season, the pre-sunset Champagne Cruises also have a variable departure time.

Toast Table Mountain and the sunset from the deck of a choice of vessels with a complimentary glass of local sparkling wine for adult guests. A cash bar is available for other drink requirements, including soft drinks. Kids are welcome.  Cape Town  weather can change five times a day, so our sailing route from the harbour is not always predictable. With the Atlantic Ocean stretching away from the majestic Table Mountain range, this is certainly a ‘must do’ cruise for locals and tourists alike.  Toast the setting sun from the deck of a luxury vessel with a complimentary glass of local sparkling wine ( two glasses per guest, or a bottle for a couple ). A combination of a 90-minute relaxing ocean cruise and an interactive guided Djembe drumming experience that will leave participants refreshed and rejuvenated.

Anyone familiar with the ocean knows that it has a rhythm. It is like the heartbeat of the earth; the tides move in and out in waves, accompanied by the sounds of those swells lifting and falling on the rocks and beaches of the shoreline. Just watching and listening to the process is extremely relaxing, and is almost meditative in its effect.

Waterfront Charters are taking this rhythm to a whole new level: we are introducing our Rhythmic Sound Cruise option – a combination of relaxing ocean cruising on that constantly moving ocean and an interactive rhythmic drumming experience that will leave participants refreshed and rejuvenated. It’s a unique sound healing meditation that taps into the pulse and rhythms of nature, calming the mind and releasing tensions from the strains of 21 st  century life.

The experience is hosted aboard their unique twin-masted schooner Esperance, accommodating between 6 and 20 guests. (Larger groups of up to 80 participants can be organised aboard one of the other luxurious vessels.)

Once you have departed the quay at the V&A Waterfront and are moving gently through the swells of Table Bay, the experience starts off with an introduction to the basic rhythms of Africa and the world. SUNSET UNDER SAIL The sailboats Esperance and Serenity One follow the wind for this cruise. They do not offer a specific destination for this reason; you will be advised before departure as to the expected direction. The typical Cape Town summer wind blows from the south-east; the boats use the motors to leave the harbour and then they sail across Table Bay towards Milnerton lighthouse, returning to the protection of Granger Bay in the lee of Table Mountain to watch the sunset, and then motor back to the Waterfront.

In the winter months with the northwester prevalent, the direction taken will be toward the Clifton Coastline, or the Robben Island Coastline, also returning to Granger Bay. The wind and sea conditions change daily so the routing and style of the trip also change to meet the conditions; the skipper and crew will give you the best possible adventure.

The Waterfront Charters Team proudly offers you this unique and fun Ocean Safari experience. Their RIBS offer the perfect platform to share with you the beauty of the ocean as well as getting to see the plethora of creatures that inhabit the  Cape Town  Atlantic coastline. SUNSET ON A MOTOR VESSEL The Motor Vessels Sea Princess and Southern Cross follow a different route to the sailing boats. As they are not dependant on the wind they offer a destination and normally cruise slowly along the Atlantic seaboard towards Clifton beach and then return.

VARIATION TO CRUISE (DUE TO WEATHER) For all the vessels, when the seas are running too high or the wind is unpleasantly strong, instead of heading into Table Bay the destination is the Cape Town Harbour for a Harbour Lights Cruise; a perfect alternative offering magical views of Table Mountain and the lights of Cape Town and the harbour in the evening. In extreme conditions, the skipper will take every aspect into account, and even stay dockside to ensure the safety of the passengers .

2.1 You have a statutory right to cancel your purchase of the Voucher unless otherwise stated (non-refundable vouchers), within 7 working days after the day you receive your voucher via email (the "Voucher Cancellation Period") provided your cancellation reason is not one of the below:

• Not requesting availability from the merchant using the contact details provided on the product page on FOMO prior to buying the voucher, resulting in you not being able to use your voucher after purchase.
• Cancelling your voucher after a booking has been made and falling outside of the merchant cancellation period needed for a refund.(Each merchant cancellation policy will then be in effect, and merchant will have to approve the refund)

If your cancellation reason is one of the above, you will still be entitled to 1 of the 3 options listed below.

• Credit for the same amount to be used on FOMO
• Extension period of your voucher for a further 3 months
• Refund less 20% handling admin processing fee

Should you request a refund within the 7 working day period, FOMO will issue you with a refund, However, if you redeem your Voucher during the Voucher Cancellation Period, you expressly request the services to begin being provided to you, and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel the purchase of the Voucher. Since FOMO is not responsible for the supply or provision of the Merchant Offering, once your Voucher is redeemed you are not entitled to a refund (in whole or in part).

From New York-style boiled bagels to Montreal-inspired wood-fired ones, there’s lots of great bagels in southern Maine and several shops have the accolades to back that up.

In 2023, Bon Appetit named bagels from Rose Foods and Rover Bagel among the best in the country.

Two years before that,  Food & Wine Magazine put Rover, Forage and Scratch Baking Co. on its list of best bagels in the U.S.

Whether you like yours toasted with cream cheese or as the bread for your breakfast sandwich, you can find plenty of styles and flavors from Biddeford to Brunswick.

BEACH BAGELS

The offerings at Beach Bagels include a French toast and marble bagel, and the cream cheese menu comprises spreads like strawberry, olive and honey walnut. Dutchman’s opened in 2022 as a pop-up housed at Nomad pizza in Brunswick’s Fort Andross building. There are 10 or so Mister Bagel locations in Maine, including South Portland and Falmouth. It all began with the Portland location, which was the first bagel shop to open in Maine. The late Rick Hartglass started Mister Bagel in 1977, and it is still a family business. Music fans will appreciate the breakfast sandwich menu, which includes The David Bowie (bacon, egg and American cheese), the Jimmy Buffett (egg with roast beef and cheddar) and The Lady Gaga (avocado, salt and pepper, with or without egg).

SCRATCH BAKING CO.

You haven’t lived until you’ve experienced the line of devoted fans waiting for Scratch Baking Co. to open, especially on weekend mornings. Along with the popular Maine sea salt, plain and other everyday flavors, Scratch has a daily special bagel. There’s honeyed rosemary on Wednesday and jalapeno cheddar on Thursday. Scratch is also famous, at least to locals, for its P-Cheese spread. It’s a pimento cheese recipe made with cheddar, mayo, roasted red peppers and seasoning and was passed down to co-owner and head baker Allison Reid by her grandmother, Mern.

THE WORKS CAFE

The Works Cafe is an institution on the edge of the Portland’s Old Port. It opened in 1990 as Bagel Works before it changed its name in 2002. The original shop in this regional chain opened in Manchester, Vermont, in 1988, and there are 11 locations around New England, though just the one in Maine. Gone are the ’90s-era banana-walnut bagels and cold pizza cream cheese, but The Works Cafe is still a reliable place to grab a salt, multigrain or cinnamon raisin bagel, among others. The menu also has bowls, sandwiches and smoothies.
